(AllHipHop News) Schoolboy Q had the Internet lit after he posted a picture online that appeared to be the artwork for his upcoming Blank Face LP. The pic featured the popular “Crying Jordan” meme with the NBA legend’s face blanked out.
Michael Jordan’s image will not be on the actual cover for the project. Schoolboy spoke with TMZ Live and explained the photo was part of his marketing scheme for the release.
“I just actually trolled the people, because as soon as I put it on my Twitter, everybody just said, ‘Schoolboy Q’s album cover. Schoolboy Q’s artwork,'” said Q. “They defeated the purpose of what I was doing. I have a concept behind it.”
He added, “I had a series of covers that I was going to put out.” One of those conceptual covers features a “blank face” Donald Trump.
Schoolboy later returned to Twitter to reveal the real artwork for Blank Face LP. The TDE emcee’s second major label album is set to hit stores on July 8.
