(AllHipHop News) Back in February, Top Dawg Entertainment CEO Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith announced the label would be releasing six albums in 2016.
An Instagram post from Tiffith revealed the company was looking to drop projects from Schoolboy Q, SZA, Isaiah Rashad, Ab-Soul, Kendrick Lamar, and Jay Rock.
The IG pic also mentioned two new artists listed as “John Doe 1” and “John Doe 2.”
Schoolboy, Rashad, Soul, Lamar, and newcomer Lance Skiiiwalker (John Doe 1) each dropped a body of work this year.
According to Tiffith, John Doe 2 also released his or her project as well.
“i dropped 6 albums this yr. John Doe 1 n 2 both dropped. [Skiiiwalker] was 1 of them. do you know who the other 1 is ? i will reveal in 2017,” the label head wrote on Twitter.
Fans began speculating on the mystery artist, with many suggesting California’s SiR or Chicago’s Kembe X.
SiR released the HER EP in October, and Kembe released the Talk Back album in July.
