Compton, California rapper The Game pleaded no contest to a felony firearm charge today (February 11) and was sentenced to 60 days in Los Angeles County jail.
Contrary to reports, The Game was sentenced to two months in jail, as opposed to the reported four months, after pleading no contest to possession of a firearm in a school zone.
The charge stemmed from an altercation with another man during a pickup game of basketball last February at the Rita Walters Educational Learning Complex in South Los Angeles.
Police accused The Game of punching the man during the competition and then pulling a gun from his red Cadillac Escalade and threatening to shoot the man.
The rapper, born Jayceon Taylor, was also sentenced to three years probation and 150 hours of community service.
The Los Angeles Times reports that two additional charges, including making criminal threats and exhibiting a firearm in the presence of a peace officer, were dismissed.
According to prosecutors, The Game will surrender to authorities and begin serving his sentence next week.
