(AllHipHop News) Tidal is allying with the Equal Justice Initiative to celebrate the opening of the National Memorial for Peace and Justice and the Legacy Museum in Montgomery, Alabama. The entertainment platform will live stream the Concert for Peace and Justice on April 27.

“The EJI is excited to partner with Tidal to bring this event to a global audience,” said EJI Director Bryan Stevenson. “The issues America is facing today are deeply rooted in a history that is familiar to so many worldwide. We’re hopeful that bringing this conversation globally will inspire conversation that will lead to a better future.”

The concert is one of several Grand Opening events in Montgomery on April 26 and 27. Usher, Common, The Roots, Brittany Howard, Kirk Franklin, Tasha Cobbs, Robert Glasper, Jon Baptiste, Valerie June, and special guests are scheduled to perform at the event.

“Stemming from the incredibly diverse group of Tidal artist-owners, creating and participating in programs that impact culture and humankind in a positive way always been at the core of what Tidal does,” said the company’s Lior Tibon. “We’re incredibly honored to be a part of this historic event and know Tidal members will be excited to watch this incredible concert.”
