Black Ink Crew From VH1 Faces Lawsuit (VIDEO)

A woman who came to New York City from South Carolina to be tattooed by an artist from VH1’s  Black Ink Crew claims that she has been left scarred by her tattoo, PIX 11 reports.

Asabi Barner, 30, said she wanted to get a tattoo to cover up two tattoos, a unicorn and a horseshoe, that she had gotten done when she was 18-years-old. Barner had gotten a chest piece that read “Phenomenal” that also covered her breast. The next day she said that her skin on her left breast began to secrete a clear pus and when she visited a South Carolina tattoo shop to get an artist’s opinion they said her skin was “overworked.”

Barner told PIX 11 that her skin often burns and itches and that she now has keloids. She said she consulted a plastic surgeon who told her surgery would worsen the damage.

She has slapped Black Ink with a lawsuit for being negligent, reckless and careless. Barner did not disclose which tattoo artist did her tattoo.

Wiz Khalifa’s new single is dominating Spotify. According to reports, his new track “See You Again,” which appears on the Fast and the Furious 7 soundtrack and features Charlie Puth, has gotten 4.2 million streams in one day, receiving the most streams ever in a single day. The emotional track also garnered the most streams in a single week in 26 countries.

“This is one of those special moments when all the forces have aligned to create a song that is resonating emotionally with millions around the world,” said Atlantic Records CEO Craig Kallman in a statement. “The combination of Wiz’s star power with the introduction of Charlie as a brilliant singer and songwriter is truly magical, striking a nerve with Paul Walker’s legion of fans and the film’s enormous audience. All of us at Atlantic are thrilled and gratified by the response that this moving tribute has received from Spotify’s global listeners.”

“See You Again” also plays in the final scene of the movie and triggers memories of the late Paul Walker.

Ty Dolla Sign Announces Release Date For Debut Album, ‘Free TC’

Ty Dolla Sign has been the man behind the music for quite some time. The LA native has hits of his own, like the cheater’s anthem “Paranoid,” but he has also penned hits for artists like Chris Brown and Trey Songz and has done some production for Wiz Khalifa, YG and others. Now he is ready to unveil his debut album to the world.  It has been announced that Free TC slated to drop on June 2nd.

With “Stand For” as its lead single, the LP is set to have features from Kendrick Lamar, Nicki Minaj and Brandy.  The project’s title honors Dolla Sign’s younger brother, TC, who he claims is wrongly incarcerated for a murder he did not commit and is serving a life sentence. TC has still managed to appear on his brother’s mixtapes and on YG’s debut album (he sings on the “Thank God Interlude”) from behind bars though and will also appear on his big brother’s debut album.

Meek Mill locked it down with Nicki Minaj, by presenting her with a ring worth a reported $500,000.

Whether the pair are actually engaged remains to be confirmed by the pair but a recent report says they are indeed set to be married.

“Both Meek and Nicki have been spending amazing quality time together lately and have gotten extremely close these past few months,” a source told Eonline. “It may seem like it all is happening very quickly but Nicki and Meek are in this 100. They truly love each other.”

WTF? Lil Wayne Accused Of Pulling Gun On Bus Driver

Lil Wayne’s former bus driver claims the rapper pulled a gun on him and threatened to kill him.

Bus driver Mark Jones says that there rapper became enraged when he stopped for gas in Buffalo during the New York leg of his 2014 tour.

The driver said that he was so fearful, that he didn’t even fill up the tank before leaving the gas station, according to TMZ.

Wayne alleged that he would pistol whip and then kill him.

The suit claims Wayne cocked the gun and told the man “I want to go to a hotel now.”

Jones is suing for false imprisonment, assault and emotional distress.

Drake’s OVO Fest Will Not Receive Grant Funding From The Canadian Government

Drake’s OVO Fest will not be getting any funding from the Canadian government for this year’s festivities, Billboard reports.

Blane McPhail, who is the  press secretary to Honorable Michael Coteau, the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport, told Billboard that OVO Fest didn’t meet the pre-determined criteria in the 2015 Celebrate Ontario Application Guide.

“We would encourage OVO Fest’s organizers to reach out to the ministry and apply again next year,” said McPhail.

Even though Drizzy was denied monies from Celebrate Ontario, the Ontario Music Fund did give $45,000 in provincial funding and got financial backing from other companies as well.

Through Celebrate Ontario 2015, the provincial government has provided funding for 270 events this year, totaling up to $19 million in grants.

The OVO Fest will take place on Aug. 2-Aug. 3rd at the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre. The event is reportedly sold out.
