So an up-and-coming singer slid in Future’s DM’s recently trying to collaborate with the rapper. Future was trying to collaborate more in the bedroom than on the track. Future kept his intentions in emoji form, but we guess the singer whose name is Ciera-Angelique felt she wasn’t getting anywhere, and now the DM’s and text messages have become public record lol. Check them out below. Maybe she’s #TeamCiara.
AllHipHop.com premieres the new mixtape Marvelous Magic Johnson from NYC bred emcee Marvelous Mag. The Winners crew member’s 14-track ode to the Los Angeles Lakers great features appearances by Hus Kingpin, Planet Asia, SmooVth, Rozewood, and Black.
Like the mixtape’s namesake, Mag displays his ability to see the entire court as he navigates through the game. The Brownsville native uses tracks like “We Got Next” to showcase his lyrical gifts; while cuts like the Flying Lotus produced “Geronimo” provides tongue-in-cheek commentary and the J Dilla produced “Far Away” takes listeners into a cannabis-influenced setting.
Check out Marvelous Mag’s Marvelous Magic Johnson mixtape below.

Rich Homie Quan has had a lot to say lately on social media in between hitting his interesting “Rich Homie” dance. We think we found out who he’s mad at lol: Johnny Cinco aka John Popi (an up and coming Atlanta rapper). Apparently the two have been beefing for a while. Allegedly Johnny has been sneaking dissing Rich Homie. RHQ didn’t take a liking to this as him and his fans yelled “F*ck Johnny Cinco.” while he was performing.
Rich Homie Quan decided to call out Johnny Cinco when he posted this under his Instagram video:
“And you ran from me yesterday at the airport. Thought you had on skates scary a** lil boy.”
Jay The Connect decided to comment under Rich Homie Quan’s video, and RHQ replied saying,
“Jay don’t play u know west braxkin nawl real talk uma beat all yall hating a** n**gas on my son. Now f*ck dat.”
Back in February, a 21-year-old man named Rymir Satterthwaite came forward alleging that he was Jay Z’s love child and that Jay had been doing everything in his power to avoid taking a paternity test. Now, the case may be settling out of court.
“Ultimately the case will probably be settled out of court,” Lillie Collie, Satterthwaite’s legal guardian, told Radar Online. “We’ve been going through this since 2011 and it has gotten to the point where the family just wants it to be over.”
Satterthwaite says that Jigga and his mother, Wanda, had an affair in the ’90s and he was conceived. In 2011, his mother took Hova to court after it was proven that another man was not Satterthwaite’s father. Jay has still not taken a paternity test.
Remember that reporter who quit her job as an Alaska anchor live on air by telling the world, “F–kit, I quit”? Well, she may have to go back to her day job.
KTVA reports that Charlo Greene’s Alaska Cannibus Club was raided by Anchorage police last Friday (Mar. 20) after suspecting that marijuana was being sold illegally from the club.
“Police received reports of the illegal sale of marijuana and other derivatives at a location that’s been identified as the Alaska Cannabis Club,” police wrote in a statement.
“I saw them uproot a couple of marijuana plants. They took some bongs and pipes and phones and computers and that’s pretty much it,” Green told KTVA.
Two cars, a Dodge Dakota and Jeep Liberty, were also impounded by police.
Green, also known as Charlene Egbe, claims that no illegal activity was going on at the hub.
“This is basically a medical marijuana dispensary,” she said. “We don’t sell any recreational marijuana, we don’t sell any medical marijuana. This is a place for card holders to come and share their own cannabis.”
Alaska legalized marijuana last month but it remains illegal to sell it.
Apparently things aren’t going well with Damon Dash and ex-wife Rachel Roy in the co-parenting department. Dame says that he believes Roy’s lawyer is advising her to keep him from seeing their kids. Dash doesn’t plan to let them make him out to be a bad father, and has threatened to tell it all.
Dame Dash posted a pic of Rachel on his Instagram with the caption:
“If anybody speaks to Rachel_roy can you ask her why she is keeping my daughters away from me i know such a classy woman would never do something as distasteful as that unless advised by a low life scum bag lawyer like donell Suarez Rachel please don’t get caught up in this dude trying to separate me from my family so he can get paid but if I have to this will be a public fight and I’m going to tell the truth and you guys will not be making me look like a bad father so yall can get more money…I’m sick of these games…Barry Rutcofsky is another scum bag lawyer I’m gonna make famous for f*cking wit my family”
We hope they work it out for the sake of the kids.
Lil’ Wayne has been having a rough few weeks. Last week, he threw the mic and walked off the stage during a performance Nova Southerneastern University in Florida after the DJ messed up the order of his playlist and played the wrong version of OT Genasis’ “CoCo.” Last night (Mar. 22) a man threw a beer bottle at him while he was performing at Revolution Live in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
“Before I get started, somebody threw a motherf–kin’ beer at me,” he told the crowd. “I know it ain’t nothing but a motherf–kin’ white boy, ‘cause n—as don’t drink no f–kin’ beer.”
Russell Simmons is looking to bring 30 years of hip-hop to the Broadway stage. It has been reported that Simmons has snagged hip-hop historian Dan Charnas to write the script for The Scenario, a musical that will tell the story of the culture with original songs and hip-hop classics. Simmons will produce the musical along with Scott Prisand, who produced the Broadway play Rock of Ages.
“It’ll be half-concert, half-storytelling,” Simmons told Rolling Stone. “Something like this deserves a little bit of a love story and a little bit of “Fight the Power.” It’s not easy to write, but it’s easy to conceive of. It’s all the old people going to the Broadway theatre and seeing rebellious youth culture [laughs]. Two generations later, rap still has that rebelliousness; it hasn’t changed. At the same time, though, it’s successful pop culture. We’ve never had an American cultural phenomenon like this that has spanned so many generations.”
He says he got the idea after watching the rock musical Rock of Ages.
“I saw it and said, ‘What the f–k? This is exactly what I need to do.’ It was the most obvious thing in the world to me. I was inspired when I saw it. I must be getting old because what I’m doing now is right squarely in the middle of Broadway, which is squarely in the middle of America. It’s overdue.”
This isn’t his first stab at Broadway. The Queens native brought Def Poetry Jam to Broadway in 2002 and won a Tony Award for it.
Lil’ Twist is a wanted man. The Young Money signee has been charged with six felonies after attacking actor Kyle Massey’s brother and then robbing him.
TMZ reports that the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office has charged the 22-year-old with making criminal threats, burglary, grand theft, battery and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon. An arrest warrant has been issued.
Back in November, Twist and four others were hanging out with Massey, who is know for starring on That’s So Raven, at his home and he and his brother, Chris, asked them to leave. The group left but returned and reportedly pushed back into the apartment, beat Chris with brass knuckles and took his wallet and cell phone.
If convicted on all charges, he could face 25 years in jail.
We guess Chris Brown is sending out a warning to those who try to make things more than what they are. Recently he had to clear the air about Briona Mae by denying dating her. She was on Instagram posting pictures like she went on tour with him and was his girlfriend. He cleared up the rumors via Twitter. He said,
“Some people will try to ride the wave and take suggestive pictures misleading others. Knowing damn well they came wit da homies and not me. I don’t have a new girl and don’t plan on it anytime soon. #rumorkiller.”
I guess Team Breezy was going in on Briona because she posted this on her Instagram:
(AllHipHop News) News broke recently that Lil Wayne is pitching an autobiography to different book publishers. TMZ got access to sections of the book’s treatment. One passage included Wayne learning that Drake had sex with a woman he was dating before the two were together.
Drake apparently relayed the information to his Young Money boss while he was still in jail. In another post, TMZ reports how Wayne responded to finding out Drizzy and his girlfriend had been together.
“As a man, I’ll admit that s**t really f**ked me up, but hey, f**k that ho!” Wayne wrote in his memoir. “Love is blind, that’s why I say make sure that b***h is a seeing eye dog.”
The book apparently features Wayne discussing how he was treated by the guards and making food in his cell. Wayne also recalls fellow inmates sharing their thoughts about him.
The Sorry 4 the Wait 2 creatoralso wrote, “The guy below me yelled all night, ‘Yo, f*** you Weezy!'”
Vernon Turner got offed during the epic season finale of “Empire” … and Malik Yoba just told us how he got the news his character was going to be the one to go.
(AllHipHop News) Lil Wayne has been releasing rap music for over 15 years, and he has been a fixture in pop culture for nearly a decade. According to his “Deep” collaborator Big Sean, Wayne has basically become synonymous with rap.
“You can’t talk about rap music and not mention Lil Wayne,” Sean told AOL Build. “He changed the game.”
The GOOD Music member joins other peers who have praised Wayne’s contributions. Crooked I of Slaughterhouse said Wayne brought lyricism back to the mainstream. Kendrick Lamar referred to Wayne as a “legend” that did a lot for Hip Hop culture, and fellow TDE emcee Ab-Soul listed Wayne among his top five rappers of all time.
(AllHipHop News) Damon Dash had most of the Hip Hop world talking last week because of his heated interview with Power 105. Dash’s statements on the show was praised by some and criticized by others. Among the critics was The Breakfast Club co-host Charlamagne Tha God. He called Dash’s words “dangerous.”
The co-founder of Roc-A-Fella Records addressed his appearance on The Breakfast Club in the latest video from Hip Hop Motivation. The clip includes Dash acknowledging he appreciated the exchange of ideas that took place during the interview.
“Usually I talk a lot and there’s never anyone to actually talk back,” said Dash. “I think we were able to see another person’s perspective and how they justify it, live in front of a lot of people. I think that was an interesting perspective.”
One of the most controversial portions of the Dash interview was his repeated comments suggesting a real man does not have a boss. Some listeners took that stance as discouraging or insulting to working people. While he refused to apologize for his delivery, Dash did attempt to clear up the message he was trying to get across.
“I was saying if you have a job, you have to pay the bills, but that pays the bills momentarily. So if you have a job, in that moment, you should also be investing in something that you can pass on to your children,” explained Dash. “I said [to The Breakfast Club hosts], ‘I’m not mad at you for having a job. I’m mad at you for having the same job for 25 years.'”
Dash goes on to add that The Breakfast Club has a large platform, and he feels the hosts of the program need to be factual and stop promoting gossip. Dash also took issue with Charlamagne speaking on him during his Brilliant Idiots podcast and not directly to Dame in person.
“I see him talking a lot now. I feel like he should have said it when he had the opportunity to,” Dash stated.
The Hip Hop Motivation video includes Dame announcing he and Kanye West are going to buy the web retailer and entertainment company Karmaloop. The purchase will apparently provide direct competition to Complex Media.
“I’m going to put Complex out of business for f**king with me. I don’t like them. It’s a war between me and them,” declared Dame.
East side Chicago native YP, aka Backwood Jones, joins the ADD crew for an inspiring #DefTalk. “I’ve seen everything growing up; family members on dope…I’ve done buried a lot of friends, I’ve seen it all. So the fact that I’ve been blessed with a talent that allows me to travel the country, allows me to be here, allows me to do whatever I want to do; I’m completed, man.” He further elaborates on the idols who’ve influenced his career–namely Hov and Nas–whom he admires for their lyrical storytelling ability, which is a prominent element in his own music. The emcee also shows his lighter-hearted side, as he jokes about his first freestyles, before speaking on the sorrowful experience of losing his infant son. He closes his inspirational message by invoking his mantra: “Bust a move, make your money, stay out of trouble”.
