Iowa Republicans Feel That Beyoncé's Music Is 'Mental Poison'

Looks like the Beyhive is slight in Iowa.

In a book by possible Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee entitled God, Guns, Grits, and Gravy, he called Beyoncé’s music “mental poison.” A new survey that was administered to other Republicans found that more than a handful of people agree with him.

In a Bloomberg Politics/Des Moines Register Iowa Poll,  the question read “In his recently published book, Mike Huckabee criticized the singer Beyonce, calling her ‘mental poison.’ Do you think Huckabee is mostly right about Beyonce or did he go too far?” Forty percent of Iowa Republicans agreed with Huckabee’s judgment of Mrs. Carter’s music, 38 percent felt that he went too far and 22 percent said they were unsure if they should agree or not.

The poll also asked if Huckabee was wrong for bashing the Obamas for allowing their two daughters to listen to her music. In an interview with People magazine, Huckabee casted judgment on their parenting.

“I don’t understand how on one hand they can be such doting parents and so careful about the intake of everything—how much broccoli they eat and where they go to school…and yet they don’t see anything that might not be suitable,” he said regarding B’s music.

The question read “Mike Huckabee said the Obamas were guilty of bad parenting for allowing their daughters to listen to her music. Do you think Huckabee is mostly right about the Obamas, or did he go too far?”

This opinion wasn’t favorable, as 60 percent of Republicans said he “went too far,” 23 percent said he was “mostly right” and 16 percent said that they were unsure.

Diddy Accused Of Punching A Man During Super Bowl Party, Police Are Investigating (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Scottsdale police are looking to speak with Hip Hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs concerning allegations he attacked a club goer during a Super Bowl party last weekend. According to TMZ, a man named Steven Donaldson accuses Diddy of punching him in the face.

Video obtained by the website shows the accuser was constantly yelling at Diddy that evening. Apparently, Donaldson paid $100 to get into the venue and expected to see the “Victory” rapper perform. He also complained that Combs was late to the event and mostly remained in the VIP section.

Donaldson claims after he addressed Diddy, the Bad Boy Records founder punched him in the face. Security supposedly then tackled Donaldson and removed him from the party.

In the video, Donaldson can be heard calling Diddy an “a**hole” and telling him to “get the f**k on stage.” The footage does not show Diddy striking anyone.

Donaldson later filed a battery report. Police were called to the scene, but Diddy had already left the club before the authorities arrived. Donaldson was reportedly found to be intoxicated.

Bobbi Kristina Brown's Text Messages Reveal She Was Still Troubled By Her Mother's Death

(AllHipHop News) Bobbi Kristina Brown is currently in a medically induced coma at an Atlanta area hospital after being found unresponsive in a bathtub at her Georgia home. The situation is eerily similar to how her mother, Whitney Houston, was discovered three years ago in a Beverly Hills hotel.

RadarOnline received access to some of Bobbi’s final texts before her current medical state, and the messages reveal the 21-year-old was still grieving her mother’s death. Brown stated she felt “alienated,” “lost,” and “pain like your heart has been ripped out of your chest.”

According to Radar, Bobbi Kristina sent the following statements to a family friend a few days before being hospitalized.

I was ALLLLL my mother lived for.

Despite the fame, the fortune, the power — any and everything, my mother has done FOR ME lady.

She was and is my everything ma’am. And if you don’t think I don’t know [what] an ounce of HURT anguish and pain is, you are preaching to the wrong women [sic], because I’ve lves [sic] in the public eye since I was born.

All well now though. I will update you. Have a blessed week. Goodbye.

Houston was recently depicted in the Lifetime biopic Whitney. The film, starring Yaya DaCosta as the iconic singer, first aired on January 17. Houston’s family was not involved in the making of the movie.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Does Wiz Khalifa Have Baby Momma Drama?

Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose’s divorce has been a little messy but for the most part they’ve kept things quiet.

Obviously their co-parenting relationship must be kinda rocky because Wiz took to Twitter to vent about not being able to spend time with their son.

Screen Shot 2015-02-03 at 10.32.11 PM

Someone tweeted and told Wiz to just “get back with his wife,” and he replied “no thanks.” I really had hope these two could work it out but it looks like that’s a hell no.

Rick Rubin Shares His Thoughts On Songs By Kanye West, Jay Z, Beastie Boys, Dr. Dre & More

(AllHipHop News) Rick Rubin has been contributing to Hip Hop for thirty years. With that wealth of experience, the producing legend surely has knowledge about some of the greatest songs of the genre. Rubin shared his thoughts on numerous tracks via Genius.com.

The co-founder of Def Jam Records annotated songs he produced for artists such as Kanye West, Jay Z, LL Cool J, and Beastie Boys. He also covered tracks by Dr. Dre, Ghostface Killah, Geto Boys, and D’Angelo.

Check out some of Rick Rubin’s Genius annotations below.

Jay Z’s “99 Problems” [Verse 2 – produced by Rick Rubin]

This is the one verse that he wrote down. It’s the first time I ever saw him write anything down.

He read it off his laptop. He wrote it the night of.

Geto Boys’ “Mind of a Lunatic” [Verse 1: Bushwick Bill]

Geffen refused to put out the Geto Boys because of “Mind of a Lunatic.”

LL Cool J’s “Rock The Bells” [produced by Rick Rubin]

It was never about proving anything, it was just that this is what I like and this is true to who they are. The only reason those first records were so aggressive, it had little to do with me. That was the good music at that moment. It wasn’t because it was that, it was the music. If the best music in that moment was folk music, that’s probably what I would have done first. I mean, I like all kinds of music, I always have, I’ve always listened to all kinds of music.

Dr. Dre’s “Nuthin’ But A G Thang”

I never really listened to The Chronic. I guess I never liked smooth? Same with Puff, who really brought R&B into it. I preferred hip-hop when it was nothing like R&B. I love breakbeats and B-boy style drum machines. I never liked the slick stuff.

Ghostface Killah’s “Intro (2000)”

I just listened to Supreme Clientele the other day, and it’s kind of untouchable.

Beastie Boys’ “Rhymin’ and Stealin'” [produced by Rick Rubin & Beastie Boys]

For the most part, with Licensed To Ill, I did the majority of the music, and we all brought in lyrics. Usually, we’d be hanging out all night at Danceteria looking at girls, trying to make each other laugh with lines and writing them down. We were there every single night.

I remember a time when I couldn’t get in.

Kanye West’s “Bound 2”

Something we talked about with Kanye was doing an alternate version of Yeezus, because there are so many versions of songs, great versions. There are versions just as good as what’s on the album, just different. I know as a fan of the album, I’d like to hear that. Maybe some day, whenever he wants. But it exists! That s**t exists.

Kanye West’s “Guilt Trip”

Kanye told me Yeezus was the first album where he was happy with the way it came out.

D’Angelo’s “Playa Playa”

I don’t think there’s an album I’ve liked more than I’ve liked Voodoo in the fifteen years since it came out. I just think it’s spectacular.

French stopped by Revolt Live to discuss his music. The Bronx representative revealed listeners can expect the song to be released by the end of the month.

“[Kanye] helped me with my next single. It was me, him, Ross, and Wayne,” explained Montana. “It’s probably [going to be released in] like another three weeks.”

There has been controversy surrounding French’s “Gucci Mane.” Last September, Atlanta rapper 9Gotti accused Montana and West of stealing his song for their own version. 9Gotti’s label Chinga Chang Records reportedly contacted Kanye and Bad Boy boss Diddy to prevent “Gucci Mane” from being released.

Bobbi Kristina Battles Seizures, Father Reveals She's Not Married

The daughter of the late Whitney Houston and R&B singer Bobby Brown has been moved to Atlanta’s Emory University Hospital from a local facility near her home in Roswell, Georgia as her family remains at her side fearing the worst. Though physicians have revealed that oxygen levels have risen, the extent of her injuries are still unknown at this time.

Following the transfer Houston began suffering seizures, as she continues to struggle after being found unresponsive in a bathtub by Nick Gordon, who her family revealed is not actually married to her despite their earlier claims. According to her father’s legal team,  “We are currently investigating the events that led to the hospitalization of Bobbi Kristina. To correct earlier reports, Bobbi Kristina is not and has never been married to Nick Gordon.”

Though she has been able to open and close her eyes a few times, doctors advise that it’s still unclear if she will recover or suffer any brain damage.

Knight has been charged in the death of Terry Carter, 55 as well as the attempted murder of Cle “Bone” Sloan, 51, following an argument in which he allegedly ran over both with his pickup truck. The incident reportedly began at a different location where NWA film Straight Outta Compton is currently being filmed and spiraled after Knight left. Under California’s notorious “3 Strikes” law, the 49-year-old is potentially facing life.

Though his awyer David Keener advised that he was on his way to the hospital, no further details were immediately given regarding his current condition. According to Keener, “He feels bad that somebody that he knew is deceased.” He added, “It’s not his fault.”
