Hip-Hop Rumors: Did The Game Pistol Whip 40Glocc?

The beef between The Game and 40 Glocc is getting very serious, especially in light of The Game temporarily losing his kids.

But, I heard a rumor The Game actually pistol whipped 40 Glocc and there is video evidence of the beat down. Now, the person that claims to have this footage is purportedly trying to sell it. I’m thinking TMZ is going to win that bid if it exists. However, I suspect it does not exist and it may be a prank or something. Nevertheless, God Bless these dudes man. They are going back an forth on social media and sending coded messages that we all pick up on.

Kendrick Lamar Song Mentioned In Oscar Pistorius’ Murder Trial

During the case, the prosecutor asked Pistorius if Lamar’s song “B***h, Don’t Kill My Vibe” led to an argument between he and Steenkamp during a car ride. A WhatsApp message that has been used as evidence in the trial included Steenkamp referring to the song.

The message included Steenkamp saying:

I’m scared of you sometimes and how u snap at me and how of you will react to me. You make me happy 90% of the time and I think we are amazing together but I am not some other b***h you may know trying to kill your vibe.

Pistorius then replied:

I was upset that you just left me after we got food to go talk to a guy and I was standing right behind you watching you touch his arm and ignore me. And when I spoke up you introduced me which you could’ve done but when I left you just kept on chatting to him when clearly I was upset. I asked Martin to put on that Kendrick Lamar album in the car and don’t know it… Granted that it was a s**t song but you should’ve just lent forward and whispered in my ear to change it seeing as I had to drive to pick up your friend.

When asked by Chief prosecutor Gerrie Nel if the name of the song he was referring to was “B***h, Don’t Kill My Vibe,” Pistorius claimed he could not remember. Nel replied that Steenkamp can’t confirm it either.

“We can’t ask her,” said Nel.

Game Claims He Has Been Kept From Seeing His Kids For Over A Month

(AllHipHop News) The Game is having a trying week and according to a recent Instagram post, it may have got a lot worse. Earlier this evening, Game returned to his personal Instagram account to claim that he has had his children taken away from him and has been denied visitation.

Game claims that he has not been able to see his children because of an anonymous persons’ vindictive ways “because I’ve decided to move on with my life” according to the post. Game also expands on the ramifications of these recent actions and how they have affected his son Harlem Taylor:

But it’s funny how someone you’ve done so much for can be so ugly & cruel as to keep my children away from me vindictively because I’ve decided to move on with my life. I love all 3 of my kids more than life itself & it’s one thing to keep me away from them.. & them away from me but [Harlem Taylor] hasn’t seen his younger brother or sister in a month & just texted me “Dad, how come Justice can’t come to my house” & I have to lie to him because he’s to young to understand the real reason why.

While Game does not name his fiancee Tiffney Cambridge as the individual keeping him from his children, as the mother of the children, she would be the only one who would seem to be able to legally. Game goes on to state he is being barred from seeing his children in order for him to not be able to see his six year old son Justice Taylor on his birthday which is in two weeks on April 25th

All of this just so you can keep me away from Justice on his birthday. What lie y’all gone tell em’ when his Daddy ain’t there ? Like I have been the past 6 birthdays ? The past 6 Christmas’s ? The past 6 years of a sons life whom got his name from a father that patiently awaited his arrival here into this world ???

Less than a week ago, reports surfaced that Game and his fiancee got into a physical altercation on March 19th which resulted in her sustaining a broken nose and filing a police report. Game claimed he “never laid a hand on Tiffney.” According to reports, Game’s fiancee obtained a restraining order against Game on April 2nd, which stipulates he must stay over 100 yards away from Cambridge. There will be a hearing on the restraining order later this month, but no word if it will come before or after Justice Taylor’s April 25th birthday.

The Game has since deleted the post from his personal Instagram account. Check out the full deleted letter below:

“Doing the best I can not to break.. But it’s funny how someone you’ve done so much for can be so ugly & cruel as to keep my children away from me vindictively because I’ve decided to move on with my life. I love all 3 of my kids more than life itself & it’s one thing to keep me away from them.. & them away from me but @harlemcarontaylor hasn’t seen his younger brother or sister in a month & just texted me “Dad, how come Justice can’t come to my house” & I have to lie to him because he’s to young to understand the real reason why. I know they ask about me, I know they love me & I know they miss me as much as I miss them but were not allowed to see each other & for what ??? As if I haven’t been there for them everyday since the day they were born…. They are the only reason I care about breathing another day on earth… They are the sole reason I have become a better person… They are the reason I give back, the reason I help people & the reason I wake up everyday with a smile on my face. Most importantly… They are MY CHILDREN & we deserve to be in each other’s lives forever. What kind of person would get in the middle of someone’s devoted fatherhood when there are countless women out here that are raising there children on there own with no one to help. You would think a father that loves his children the way I do would be the least bit appreciated & not have to beg someone to see his own children. I have worked so hard at being a good parent only to have it taken away by someone who cares not about me, nor the welfare of our children but only about themselves. & Cali….. I’m not gone even start.. I will end this by saying…. Daddy loves you…. Misses you… & will always be here no matter what happens !!!! I am a REAL FATHER.”

Olympian Lolo Jones Says Drake Will Be Handing Trophies To Rihanna’s Exes At ESPYs

(AllHipHop News) Lolo Jones is an Olympic hudeler and bobsled athlete who is freakishly talented and equally as outspoken. Earlier today (April 10th), Jones implied that Drake would be handing out trophies to Rihanna’s athlete ex-boyfriends.

Earlier today, Drake was announced to host the ESPYS on ESPN on July 16th. On her personal Twitter account, the always loquacious Jones stated that Drake will have difficulty doing his job as host as he will be surrounded by Rihanna’s ex-boyfriends:

Rihanna has been romantically linked to New York Knicks shooting guard J.R. Smith and Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp in the past two years.

The Olympian has a history of sending out controversial tweets. A week after the tragic July 20th, 2012 shooting at the showing of The Dark Knight Rises in Colorado that left 12 people dead, Lolo Jones tied shooting guns to being American:

The Game Allegedly Threatens 40 Glocc On Instagram + 40 Glocc Responds On Twitter

(AllHipHop News) The social media wars between 40 Glocc and The Game have escalated to full on threats. After 40 Glocc denied sending out inflammatory Instagram posts regarding Game’s fiancee, The Game allegedly threatened him.

On his personal Instagram account, The Game posted a picture of a stop light with the caption “Green light” for the photo. “Green light”  is usually a term used by gang members to signify that they are putting a hit out on a someone.

While that analysis of the term “green light” might seem far-fetched, 40 Glocc did not think so. Less than 30 minutes after Game posted that photo on Instagram, 40 Glocc took to his personal Twitter account to respond:

Pharoahe Monch Talks Re-Uniting With Prince Po, Possibly Collabing With Eminem, Ebro’s Duck Down Comments & More

(AllHipHop Interviews) “Who put these pu**ies on top? Putting out that pu**y music. I call it pu**y pop,” raps Pharoahe Monch on his single “Bad MF.” The lyrical legend is challenging the status quo in Hip Hop with the track off his forthcoming P.T.S.D. (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) album.

[ALSO READ: After Surviving Wars With The Industry & Depression Pharoahe Monch Prescribes The “P.T.S.D.” Album]

Monch’s forth solo LP, due out on April 15th, features Talib Kweli, Black Thought, deNaUn, and Dr. Pete with production provided by Monch, Lee Stone, Marco Polo, Jesse West, Quelle Chris, and more. The New York emcee uses the conceptual project to reflect on his past struggles with depression and the current health of the music industry.

AllHipHop.com caught up with Pharoahe Monch to talk about P.T.S.D. and other subjects including possibly collaborating with Eminem, Hot 97’s Ebro Darden’s comments on Duck Down artists, and reuniting with his Organized Konfusion partner Prince Po.

The P.T.S.D. album starts off with a skit where a voice comes on and suggests that the character’s memory can be erased through a medical treatment like in the movie Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind. If that technology was actually possible would you be open to using it to erase memories that you didn’t want anymore?

Each individual is different. I don’t have anything per se, but I’m sure people have experiences that they would [want to erase]. A lot of things I’ve experience have been a growing experience as well. When something is traumatic, I think people would really consider that. That’s why I put that in there. I am drawing from Eternal Sunshine and Total Recall to have this back story to the album.

What are some of your personal favorite concept albums?

Anything that De La Soul did in the past is inspirational. The last concept album The Roots did [Undun] was phenomenal. The Equinox by Organized Konfusion. As a rule, concept albums are taboo. I just feel like if you’re going to do an album it should be something that makes people sit down and listen to it or ride to it. Aside from that, I feel like I have songs on this album that are palpable outside of the framework like “Bad MF,” “Broken Again,” and “D.R.E.A.M.”

Organized Konfusion's Pharoahe Monch & Prince Po
Organized Konfusion’s Pharoahe Monch & Prince Po

You reunited with Prince Po for Marco Polo’s “3 O’Clock” last year. Is there a possibility of a full Organized Konfusion project in the future?

We’ve doing some spot dates for the 20th anniversary of the Stress album. We did a show in New York. We’re doing a 4/20 show in L.A., and we’re releasing a Stress album instrumental as a twenty year special thing. As far as recording a new album, I don’t even think Pharoahe Monch is going to be doing another traditional album. I’m going to drift more to projects.

I’m working on a project with Georgia Anne Muldrow and different specialty s**t. It allows me to be even more experimental than I already am without having to combine this long-playing thing. I feel like I can get the fans more music that way.

Eminem name dropped you on “Rap God” and said you’re “ahead of your time.” Could we possibly see another Pharoahe Monch/Slim Shady collaboration in the future?

For me, that’s like a dream come true in terms of rap collaborations. When you think of those type of records and what you want to hear, I’m picky as f**k and I revere Em so highly I would just want it to be super f**king epic. Not even it just doing really well, cause obviously Pharoahe doesn’t give a f**k on that side. I just want it to be – aside from lyrics that you know would be f**king upper echelon – I would like people to be like “Oh, my god. It f**king changes and reverses into another beat, and it slows down and speeds up.” That type of thing.

When you released your song “Stand Your Ground” last year, the L.A. Times did a write-up on it where the paper basically stated it was amazed you were unafraid of potential blow-back from the song. The article also mentioned that it was contradictory to what they called “powerful rappers” focusing on money and fame. Would you like to see more high-profile artists in Hip Hop be more vocal on social issues?

I would like to see people be honest. If you’re not affected emotionally, and you’re not empathetic and sympathetic in the Trayvon situation, you don’t really give a s**t, then don’t do a record about it. Continue to do what you love to do. It’s the truth. It’s not propaganda or to be provocative. It hurt really bad.

I know it happens all the time, but in this particular case I’m like, “Come on man. I go to the gym. I wear a hood when it’s cold. That could be me. That could be my brother, my friend.” We sympathize with the family, but it’s more of an ache like “when do we evolve everybody?” This is just some sh*t that we’ve been dealing with now for quite some time, and I don’t feel like we’re evolving past the situation at all.

So, it’s in my fabric to do that. Not to be a hero, but to express that hurt in my music. I wasn’t even finish when we released [“Stand Your Ground”]. It was just like people need to hear my sentiment on a song. If a million people hear it, fine. If five people get some relief or can relate, then fine.

Just like you don’t want to hear me rapping about how much money I got, I don’t want to hear no one who’s not really affected put their spin on it. You want it to be honest. If it’s honest, then we need it.

What did you think about Hot 97’s Ebro Darden saying Duck Down artists’ music doesn’t appeal to women and that’s why they don’t get radio play?

That’s a ridiculous statement. I understand the sentiment, but we all know what woman want to hear. I think that’s not giving women respect on the other side either to say that women don’t like Wu-Tang or women don’t like any other songs that were heavy, hard-core, or not directly aimed at women. I think it’s about what’s good and what’s not good.

I get a portion of what Ebro is trying to say, but I think a lot of woman who do like Hip Hop also like good Hip Hop and funny Hip Hop and understand the difference. They know when the record is made directly for them like when the record is called “Hey, Boo Boo I wanna give you flowers.” They know when a record is, “Alright HOV, H to the O-V…” Just as many women liked that record as dudes.

You appeared on the Ultimate MC show. Are you interested in doing any more work on TV?

Film, writing, and behind the camera. I’m rocking this directorial debut for “Bad MF” [music video] which I want to see how people feel about that. I love media. I just want thought-provoking, intellectual, nerd media. [laughs]

Cerebral art is really popular right now. Look at shows like True Detective or Breaking Bad – these shows where you really have to sit and think and invest time in. Maybe that will convert to music as well which kind of leads into my last question. What do you think it will take to get “pu**y pop” from the top?

[Laughs] The truth is I’m about balance. Some of that stuff is fun, but to a certain extent. It just reaches so many levels of “alright already.” Where’s the balance, like you said, on the Breaking Bad or True Detective side? You don’t get the balance.

[“Bad MF”] is a statement to the artists, radio, labels, but also a social statement. Who’s really man enough to speak out, put their lives on the line for the views bigger than them? “Who put these pu**ies on top?” is about how I just don’t feel like we get that anymore. So it’s a bigger statement than just I think the music on the radio is wack.

Evian Christ Says Kanye West Wants Next Album To Have An Otis Redding & Mobb Deep Sound

(AllHipHop News) More info about Kanye West’s forthcoming album continues to leak out.

Previously, Ye’s tour DJ Mano said the album will not be an extension of the music heard on Yeezus, and now a collaborator from the last Kanye LP provides more details about the musical direction of the next one.

Speaking with Self Titled, producer Evian Christ shares that Kanye asked him to provide a specific sound for the Yeezus follow-up.

“[Kanye] e-mailed last night. He wants something that sounds a bit like Otis Redding, a bit like Mobb Deep,” said Christ.

The Very G.O.O.D. Beats affiliate goes on to praise Kanye for his willingness to attempt musical moves that other artists will not try.

“Kanye is the one dude who’s like, ‘This is not experimental enough. This is too poppy. Make something else.’ The other guys are like, ‘We don’t get it,'” added Christ. “Kanye is a dream to work with. No one else gives you that level of creative freedom. When he wants you to work to a blueprint, the blueprint is: ‘Don’t make a rap beat. Anything but a rap beat.’”

Christ contributed to the Yeezus track “I’m In It.”

While the announcement of the dissolution of their engagement came yesterday, reports claim that the engagement was off for the past two weeks. Sources tell TMZ that the Glee star was controlling to the point she threatened to ruin Big Sean’s career “If you don’t listen to what I say.”

The couple attended counseling to resolve their problems and the results of that counseling was Sean ending the engagement.
