I cannot say where this comes from, but there is a little birdie talking. But first, you may have seen the rumors where Timbaland claimed that he was helping the Jodeci guys to get back into form. Well, this seems to be slightly exaggerated, at least. It could be completely wrong too. Basically, there does not seem there is any Timbaland involved in the Jodeci comeback. Truly, Timbaland has a real relationship with the group and it goes so deep as to DeVante giving him his producer name…yep! So this still may happen!

(AllHipHop News) Cam’ron once wore pink and inspired a short revival of acceptance of the color for men and he’s at it again. Today (February 7th), Cam’ron announced that he will be collaborating with designer Mark McNairy on a line of capes.
After donning a few capes at his birthday party last week and during his appearance during 2 Chainz set at Chainz’ stop in New York City for the 2 G.O.O.D. 2 Be Tru Tour, Cam took to his personal Instagram account to announce his entry into the cape making business:
Camrom attended McNairy’s camouflage print filled fashion show during New York Fashion Week last September.
McNairy’s Fashion Week event will be this Tuesday (February 11th) at 12 pm at Eyebeam.

By now you have read the headlines about George Zimmerman and DMX. The pair will supposedly square off in a three round “celebrity boxing” event for PPV. The announcement comes on as many reminisce on the short life of Trayvon Martin, who Zimmerman killed two years ago at the age of 17. Now, DMX recently revealed that he’s not 100% confirmed for this fight so we”ll see.
That said, there are no talks of the fight being called off and it actually looks like it may go down (with or without DMX), despite a national outcry opposing the effort. So, please believe there are several other opponents that George Zimmerman could consider, rap guys that would make this “bout” infinitely more interesting. This list is IF a fight happens even though we collectively don’t want it to happen.
THE GAME

The Game has “the game” on lock in several ways, but one of them is simply that he cares. He’s got Trayvon Martin tatted on his body and he’s passionate about African American people. Moreover, he’s passionate – perhaps to a fault – about justice. But when he sees wrong, he’s the type to make it right. Unlike some of the other rappers, he’s going to beat Zimmerman to a pulp and also pay homage to Trayvon. There is a reason why Zimmerman accepted and then rejected The Game as a prospect.
TREACH

One time Treach of Naughty By Nature rapped “Guard your grill knuckle up, I ain’t the type to give up.” Treach is swift with his blows and even though he’s a bit older, he’s very much in shape. Lastly, he used to carry a chainsaw so perhaps he’d consider dusting it off and chopping Zimmerman up into little pieces for rapid dogs to consume. Just kidding! (And Treach ran with Tupac so you already know what’s up.)
FREDDIE FOXX

Freddie Foxx has been knocking out dudes for decades. His hands are like sledgehammers and his nickname is Bumpy Knuckles (you already know!). Zimmerman wouldn’t last a round with Bump. In fact, Bumpy used to box a bit and knocked a few rapper dudes out in the 1990′s. But, these days he’s still into martial arts and isometrics. He’s pretty much a nightmare if you are on the wrong side of his generally cool temperament.

West Coast hot spitter Shugga Shane releases a brand new banger from his upcoming “L.A. Kings” mixtape, which is set to drop April 1st. This one is titled “H.I.T.S.” (short for Heavy In The Streets) and is finely produced by DJ Cheema. Shane goes off on this record, delivering sharp & edgy lyrics with dynamic flow, speaking on fast cars, women, and life style. The simple yet catchy chorus plays very well with the climactic beat, adding potential to this highly anticipated release. The leader of Crown Fam, Shugga Shane has really stepped his game up on “H.I.T.S.” If this is what his mixtape sounds like, then S.S. is bound to make some noise in 2014. Until then, check out this HOT new record from my man & share it with your people! And remember.. #LAKings 4.1.14!
(AllHipHop News) When you are on such an unprecedented streak of peak creativity as Pharrell has been over the past decade-plus, you tend to have your personal life and work life intertwine in the mostul unexpected ways. According to Pharrell, part of his first born child identity came from two classic Elton John and Stevie Wonder songs.
While the prolific 40 year old producer did not name his son, Rocket Williams after songs word-for-word, he did tell BBC News that they helped inspire it:
Contrary to popular belief, Rocket’s middle name is not Man. But Elton John’s Rocket Man song was a part of it and also Stevie Wonder’s Rocket Love. But Elton would be really interesting.”
Hopefully Google read the interview:
Back in October, Stevie Wonder announced he was releasing a rap inspired album this year, his first of original music in 9 years. Pharrell did not confirm his involvement but did propose working with the legendary singer:
I would love to do a whole album with Stevie Wonder. That would be amazing. He doesn’t need me, but it’d be amazing.

(AllHipHop News) Many movie goers have been waiting almost 20 years to see Chris Tucker and Ice Cube reunite for a sequel to the classic 1995 comedy Friday. While it seemed like fans would never get to see Smokey and Craig on screen together again, Tucker recently revealed that he is open to the idea of another Friday movie and wants to participate in the pre-production for the potential film.

“I’m actually trying to help [the studio] come up with some ideas and be apart of the producing process with Cube to see if we can come up with something, so that might happen,” Tucker said during an interview with Sway Calloway’s Shade 45 radio program.
While Tucker may revive his Friday character, the weed-smoking, drug dealing Smokey from the first film would have to be different. The part would have to reflect Tucker’s faith and the person he is today.
“If I do a movie like Friday again it has to evolve,” adds the 42-year-old actor. “I evolved from Smokey when I was that age when I did that movie – from when I did Fifth Element or even the first Rush Hour. So, every character I look at now I’m like can I play it because where I am right now, because I pull a lot from real life. I put a lot of myself in the characters.”
