Washington Heights star rapper Audubon travels to the streets of Chicago for his video for his first single off #HotelAudubon, “Lately”. Produced by SoneMusic from The Rolling Kingz Music Group, the sedative track with light piano chimes and a smooth bassline find Audubon discussing the changes in his life recently.
Appearances include former G.O.O.D. Music artist GLC and politician Jesse Jackson as well as others.
#HotelAudubon will be released on July 30th.

Murder Was My Case, Too: Snoop Dogg Supports Aaron Hernandez On Instagram
(AllHipHop News) Rappers have an almost natural proclivity to side with murder suspects especially if they were once one themselves. Snoop Dogg Lion sent a picture out on his personal Instagram account in support of suspected murderer and former New England Patriots tight end, Aaron Hernandez.
The photo of the two was originally posted four months ago on Snoop’s Instagram with the caption “Aaron Hernandez. Te. Snoop lion. Wr. Club action.!!” Now the photo’s caption is “Keep ya head up !! We prayn 4 ya”
Aaron Hernandez is being charged for the murder of 27-year-old Odin Lloyd whose dead body was found in close proximity to Hernandez’s North Attleborough, Mass. mansion.
Snoop Dogg was famously acquitted of a first and second degree murder charges in connection to the August 1993 death of gang member Philip Woldemariam.
Hip-Hop Rumors: What Will T.I. Do Now That He’s An Independent?
People saying T.I. fell off? I beg to differ! If you didn’t know, T.I. fulfilled his obligation to Atlantic Records with Trouble Man: Heavy is the Head. He’s officially and indie rapper. Here is the report from MTV:
“I got a record out now, me and Wayne,’ Wit Me,’ doing numbers every week, increasing on iTunes, increasing on Billboard top 100, so … I’m just continuing to push. Right now I’m an independent artist. It’s a lot of work, man, it’s a lot of resources to be dedicated to it,” T.I. said of being back in control of his destiny. “But at the end of the day I think it’s worth it. It put me back into mind of where we were after ‘I’m Serious,’ where we had to put our own funds and resources into [2003’s] Trap Muzik … I think that led to a beautiful situation … and I think right now we’re just working to reach another beautiful situation.”
Well, basically that means he’s probably looking for a big pay day with another label. And while Trouble Man wasn’t his biggest seller, it was a good album that showcased Tip’s talents. I’m thinking he’s going to get a new bit label based on his name alone. But, he’s also got some acting chops too. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

Doctors Urge Nelson Mandela’s Family To Pull The Plug, Says He’s A Vegetable
(AllHipHop News) Nobel Peace Prize recipient and legendary political activist Nelson Mandela has been hospitalized since June 8th. According to court documents filed by 15 Mandela family members, the beleaguered former South African president is in a “permanent vegetative state” and the family has been urged to cut off his life support.
Mandela is only surviving through the assistance of his life support machine, but his prolonged use of the machine could be indicative of a bleak physical condition:
“It indicates a very poor prognosis for recovery because it means that he’s either too weak or too sick to breathe on his own,” said Dr. Adri Kok,the chief executive of the Faculty of Consulting Physicians of South Africa.
The court documents and issue of how to handle Mandela’s current physical state arose from an ongoing battle between members of Mandela’s family and his grandson, Mandla Mandela over the Nelson Mandela’s burial place. Mandla moved the deceased bodies of the former South African president’s three children to his birthplace, the village of Mvezo. Yesterday (July 4th), the bodies were reburied in their original burial place in Qunu. The court documents believe Mandal moved the bodies in order to control where his grandfather is ultimately buried:
“By controlling the area in which these descendants’ remains are buried, he expects that the remains of Mr. Nelson Mandela will be buried.”
More Details Emerge About Alleged Conspirators In Rapper Lil Phat’s Murder
(AllHipHop News) Five individuals including a former Russian mobster and a college basketball standout have been indicted for the murder of rapper Lil Phat (born Melvin Vernell III). After a bond hearing involving the five suspects was held, more information about the case has emerged.

Prosecutors allege that Phat was killed in a murder-for-hire plot for stealing 10 pounds of marijuana from San Francisco State University point guard Decensae White and suspected Bang Get Money (BGM) gang affiliate Gary “El Dorado Red” Bradford.

The two are said to have hired fellow BGM member Deandre Washington and alleged getaway driver Maurice Conner for $10,000 to murder Phat.
Apparently, Washington and Conner were able to locate Phat at the hospital were he was killed by tracking his car’s GPS. The coordinates were allegedly given to them by Mani Chulpayev, an ex-member of the Russian mafia, who rented the vehicle to Phat.

Chulpayev denies involvement with assassination. The owner of a luxury car rental service claims that he and White were business partners, and the killers got the tracking information on Phat’s rented vehicle from White.
Chulpayev was convicted on charges related to organized crime in the 1990’s. He later became an informant for the FBI.
According to Chulpayev’s original lawyer in the Lil Phat case, the Feds tried to keep local police investigating Phat’s murder from Chulpayev, but his client wanted to talk to authorities in order to clear his name. He even offered to take a lie detector test.
White is also denying involvement in Phat’s death. At the bond hearing his lawyer played a video of White’s highlights at San Francisco State University and presented a letter from White’s coach that called him a “model citizen.”
Bradford’s lawyers argued that he was not associated with a gang. He is just a rapper who only uses violent imagery in his music. They also said he suffers from autism.
White is currently out on bond. Chulpayev, Bradford, and Washington were denied bond and remain in the Fulton County jail. Maurice Conner is in jail in Alabama.
Hip-Hop Rumors: 50 Cent Baby On The Way?
So, there has been a lot of talk on 50 Cent and this new baby moms he may or may not have. Not even TMZ seems to fully have the answer. Its widely known that 50 has a son. But some reports have been saying that he has another 16-year-old kid, but it makes no sense.

But, in the last couple of days, its been leaking that this woman Daphne Joy may actually be pregnant with 50’s new kid. Again, all of this is speculation. The crazy part with the allegations of domestic violence would get really crazy if she is with child. Now, the other part of the rumor is that neither Daphne or 50 wanted it publicly known that they were having a baby so now that cat has jumped way out of the bag.
Anyway, 50 is moving forward on his boxing maneuvers and supposed to be having some big celebrations this weekend for his birthday as boxing matches in Connecticut. Hope he enjoys.

(AllHipHop News) The death of Pro Era crew member Capital STEEZ came as a shock to his growing fanbase. The Brooklynite took his own life leaving the world to wonder what could have been with such a young talent. Thanks to fellow BK rapper SMTH’s new song “Last Straw”, STEEZ’s voice can be heard at least one more time over a new track.

“Last Straw” appears on SMTH”s new mixtape The SMTH Project. The collaboration features the last recorded verse by STEEZ. It was made only five days before his death.
“STEEZ was a wizard with words to say the least,” SMTH told Billboard’s The Juice. “Between our verses and the ill beat from DJ Spinna I knew this was something special. I’m just thankful to say I’ve worked with someone who cared about creating real Hip Hop just as much as me.”

(AllHipHop News) It has been almost a year since Lupe Fiasco released his Grammy nominated album Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album Pt. 1, but the Chicago emcee has decided now is the time to release his visual art piece featuring the tracks “Lamborghini Angels,” “ITAL (Roses),” and “Audubon Ballroom.”
The 13-minute clip, officially titled “#1234,” was directed by Alex Nazari (Lupe’s “Around My Way”, 2 Chainz’s “Yuck”), and it touches on the themes of racism, media influence, and Hip Hop stereotypes.

Justin Timberlake Drops Video For “Tunnel Vision” Featuring Naked Women
(AllHipHop News) It appears 2013 is the year blue-eyed soul performers have embraced the nude female body in their videos. First Robin Thicke paraded topless women in the clip for “Blurred Lines,” and now Justin Timberlake has released the visual for “Tunnel Vision” featuring several naked ladies.
“Tunnel Vision” is the third single off Timberlake’s platinum selling comeback album The 20/20 Experience. He previously released the songs “Mirrors” and “Suit & Tie” with Jay-Z.
The former *NSYNC singer also appears on Jay-Z’s new album Magna Carta Holy Grail that became available for Samsung Galaxy owners yesterday (July 4).

50 Cent Denies Domestic Abuse Charge
(AllHipHop News) 50 Cent denies the charges of domestic violence levied against him.
Earlier this week, the rapper was charged with domestic violence in a case where authorities allege he kicked his child’s mother. Through an attorney, he denied the allegations.
In a statement to TMZ, 50 Cent’s lawyer said, “Curtis Jackson [50 Cent] denies these allegations as made against him. It is important to note, Mr. Jackson has not been arrested and there is no warrant outstanding for his arrest.”
50 also faces charges associated with destruction of $7,100 in property.
