Rick Ross Facing $90,000 Lawsuit

(AllHipHop News) A jewelry store in Texas has filed a lawsuit against Maybach Music Group’s leader Rock Ross according to TMZ. Johnny’s Custom Jewelry is claiming that Ross has failed to pay a $89,847.50 tab for three diamond Rolexes. The Houston location is also asking for interest since the merchandise was delivered in August of 2012.

Johnny’s Custom Jewelry’s website boasts that the company has a celebrity clientele that includes famous rappers, singers, athletes, and television personalities. There are no specific celebrities listed on the site as customers, but the site’s header currently features images of Flo Rida, Nelly, and even Rick Ross.

Ross has been associated with Johnny’s in the past. There is video of Ross at Johnny’s Custom Jewelry in 2010, and he held an album signing event at the shop in August of last year. In footage of the 2012 appearance, Ross acknowledges being a fan of owner King Johnny and his brand.

“Shout out King Johnny’s for real. I’ve been f*cking with these boys from day one,” says Ross. “They gonna make a lot of custom pieces for me.”

The only evidence that has been made public in the present case is a photo of a bill that names Ross and Maybach Music Group as purchasers. The pic also shows a balance due for a $55,000 8K gold watch, a $14,000 8K gold watch, and a $14,000 two-tone watch.

Rick Ross has yet to make a public statement about the lawsuit.

Big Sean Talks Yeezus, MTV’s “Hottest MCs”, Old Rapper Tweets, & Travi$ Scott

(AllHipHop News) G.O.O.D. Music’s Big Sean spoke with DJ Cosmic Kev of Power 99 in Philadelphia yesterday. During the interview Sean addresses his placement on MTV’s annual “Hottest MCs In The Game” list, his appreciation for Kanye West’s new album Yeezus, and the exposing of some rapper’s embarrassing past tweets.

“A lot these rappers ain’t real out here. It’s crazy,” said Sean. “That dude who dug up all that stuff, I know he got a lot people in trouble.”

Sean goes on to talk about his fellow G.O.O.D. member Travi$ Scott who had some things to say about Sean and their boss Kanye on Twitter a few years ago.

“All I got to say is Travis Scott is my dog,” adds Sean. “I was playing him my album, and he was like, ‘Yo, Big Sean, you might be the greatest rapper out right now.'”

The “My Last” rapper later seems to give his peers a pass on their changing views.

“People’s opinions change over time. You may not like something four years ago, three years later you might like it.”

Hip-Hop Rumors: Tim Dog Adds To His Problems With New Song!

I don’t know if Tim Dog is alive or dead. Right, now I am going to think that he’s alive. He’s got a new song called “Falsified” and its all over the internet now. Kool Keith has stepped up on the song to proclaim that Tim Dog is alive. The crazy thing is that Tim Dog’s rap on the song is not rapping about how he’s alive. He’s talking about people lying about the material goods that he’s got. To me, it sounds like they got an old verse and recycled it and added Keith on the joint to add to the intrigue of the song.

It just sounds dated to me.

The real deal still remains to be seen. But, I have a source that thinks Tim Dog is alive and they say that he’s just added to his problems if he is.

I can’t quote the source but I will paraphrase. They are saying that, IF TIM IS ALIVE, Kool Keith and Tommy Tee could be implicated and slapped with federal offenses. Also, victims may come for the Tim Dog estate if such a thing exists to get their money. Seemingly, this effort is supposed to raise money or sales. Now, I don’t know how much money is going to be generated from Tim Dog, but I’m just saying. Anyway, these people feel that the D-O-G is making a mockery of them, because they cannot get paid back. Also, they say that is possible that Tim’s wife could be hiding him out. Seems like he’s got a German wifey.

Seems like Tim has a fan base overseas and they are riding for him….IF he’s alive.

You may have seen the formal report on this one, but can you ponder the idea that this Yeezus album may get a sequel? Rick Ruben says that there are a number of leftover tracks that lead him to believe that there may be a sequel? Remember when this happened with that album Cruel Summer? Or was that Cruel Winter? I can’t remember, because that joint was largely forgettable, all respect due. I hope there is no Yeezus 2.

DJ Khaled’s Artist Nino Brown Hits the Studio With Scott Storch; Aims for New Hit Single

(AllHipHop News) Nino Brown, the latest artist signed to DJ Khaled’s We The Best imprint, and Platinum producer Scott Storch, were in the studio recently, as the two prepared for the rapper’s upcoming project.

Nino said being signed to DJ Khaled’s imprint and working with Scott Storch is a career booster and an opportunity that he will not let pass.

“We [are] fitting to work on a few records, it’s going to be big, it’s going to be a movie. I like Scott , he has done a lot in the music industry…we bout to show you what we going to do ..we going to make a movie.”

Scott Storch was intrigued to link back up with his affiliates at We The Best, some of whom were originally associated with Fat Joe’s Terror Squad.

“It was cool I’m glad to finally get a chance to do something again with that family…we are moving at the same pace when it was Terror Squad…I’m proud of him. He’s become a mogul. He’s got s**t on lock. He’s got a great ear and the ability to call a hit.”
