Hip-Hop Rumors: TMZ Snitches On Layzie Bone!!!

Its hard out here for a rapper, but when you have pending cases going on, its all the more worse. But then to throw the media in the mix? That’s just dastardly, in fact. Welp! TMZ seems to be everywhere these days and they sure caught Layzie Bone of Bone Thugs-In-Harmony out there as he was catching a flight. What seemed like an innocent interview about Native Americans turned into a snitch session.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Will Suge Knight Sue After LAPD Draws Guns On Him?

Did you see the other day? Somebody snitched on Suge Knight and he didn’t even do anything. The Lost Angeles Police (Lost is not a typo) were called and an assault was reported. Well, the description given was the same as Suge Knight so the LAPD rolled up and pulled their guns out – ready to ROCK. But eventually it was discovered that Suge had done no wrong on this particular day. In fact, they suspect somebody just snitched on him for something he didn’t even do.

Now the word is that Suge may be looking to sue over the whole matter. The only thing is…WHO? LAPD seems to be a tall order. I wonder who it was that told them he was doing something wrong?

Hip-Hop Rumors: Trinidad James Is Catching Hell! Gets Confronted In New York!

Trinidad James just didn’t know what he was doing when he spoke out of turn towards New York. So, what it looks like is that Trini has to explain his position to every G-Rapper in the city. The first was Maino, who got on the phone with Maino. And now it seems like Mysonne is G-checking Trinidad – not seems, IS. This just happened moments ago and apparently there is footage out there. The picture below seems to suggest that Trindad is really trying to avoid a confrontation, as he should. I actually feel sympathy for him at this point, because he’s a nice dude that probably felt himself a bit one night. Now, he has to deal with every hardcore rapper in the city. Must give him respect for not hiding behind security.

Magic Johnson, La La Anthony Talk Hip-Hop, AIDS and Next Steps

AIDS and HIV still exist and the numbers for the African American community are staggering. Here are some, just in case you were lulled into a false sense of the facts, according to the CDC:

• African Americans are the racial/ethnic group most affected by HIV.

• Young African American gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men are especially at risk of HIV infection.

• New HIV infections among African American women decreased for the first time in 2010.

• African Americans accounted for an estimated 44% of all new HIV infections among adults and adolescents (aged 13 years or older) in 2010, despite representing only 12% to14% of the US population.

• In 2010, black men accounted for 70% (14,700) of the estimated 20,900 new HIV infections among all adult and adolescent blacks. The estimated rate of new HIV infection for black men (103.6/100,000 population) was seven times as high as that of white men, twice as high as that of Latino men, and nearly three times as high as among black women.

All the stats can bee seen, here: http://www.cdc.gov/hiv/risk/racialethnic/aa/facts/index.html

OraQuick, a maker of a home HIV test, convened an all-star line up of celebrities, taste-makers, doctors and press to discuss the AIDS epidemic that dramatically, and disproportionately affects the African American community. The panel included Magic Johnson, LaLa Vasquez, Pastor Toure Roberts, Dr. Rachael Ross and Demetria Lucas and they discussed solutions to the AIDS epidemic as it relates to the Hip-Hop community.

LaLa: I grew up in Hip-Hop. Hip-Hop is my entire life. My career was started on the radio with Ludacris and then on MTV, TRL. My life is Hip-Hop so me just being a part of this is the first step. I feel like I have a voice with the younger generation and I can tell them to go buy a shirt and they’re going to go buy it. I can tell them go buy this shoe that I have on and they are going to go buy the same one. I can tell them to go get tested and use my voice for that same kind of thing. And encourage my friends in the industry that I hang out with…tonight we go to the Kanye concert and have a good time [but] we need to come to things like this and talk to young people about not being ashamed, not being embarrassed. If we do it, people will see its cool…its OK to talk about this. It doesn’t mean you are less of a woman or less of a man. There is a lot of misinformation out there.

Magic Johnson:
When I think about 22 years ago and where we are today, we’ve made great strides and that’s through the medicine. When I made my announcement, there was only one drug – AZT. And now, if you look at the landscape, over 30 drugs now. At that time, it was a white gay man’s disease. And now, you have African Americans and Latinos leading in every category. The difference is they came together as a community and worked to make sure that everybody was educated. They changed their mindset, their lifestyle and everybody got behind the [notion] that they were going to drive the number down.

Every time I go to a church, the first questions always, “Magic, we don’t believe it. No way. You must be on some magical drugs that nobody else can get.” The same 32-33 drugs that are available, I’m on three of those. But, I make sure I take my meds, I work out five days a week and so I stay on top of if. That’s what I’ve done so well. I found out early so we could jump on it.

Dr. Rachel Ross:
Our biggest problem with HIV is partnership and partner sharing. There are couples that are stars, that are rich that are committed to each other. At least it appears that way on TV. So we have “Love & Hip-Hop” and we all watch what its saying is – it makes regular Black people that live all over the country – that is normal for a guy to have four or five different women. And women are vying for the top spot, instead of the only spot. [There needs to be a shift] where “I don’t wanna be wifey, I don’t wanna be the number one, I want to be the only one.”

Kidd Upstairs – 401(k)

After receiving overwhelming praise for his latest project KVSHMIR, Kidd Upstairs has decided to release another audio nug to give his fans a whiff of what he’s got in store for the rest of the year.

In a world where Southern strip club antics have overflooded our schools and churches, Kidd Upstairs drops “401(k)” to remind America’s youth about planning for a healthy retirement. You don’t want your wrinkled, tattooed body to have to worry about your next social security check now do you?

Remember kids, whether blacked out twerking on top of a dining room table while Dana’s parents are out of town, or just plain yikin’ in the middle of school, it’s also important to protect your future by setting financial goals and working towards them.

J. Cole Responds To Kendrick Lamar's "Control" Verse On Justin Timberlake's "TKO (Remix)"

(AllHipHop News) J. Cole was one of the many rappers Kendrick Lamar named as wanting to “murder” lyrically on his much talked about “Control” verse. While scores of emcees dropped responses to Kendrick, Cole had remained silent about the matter – until now.

The Roc Nation rapper finally addressed the situation on the opening verse to Justin Timberlake’s “TKO (Remix).” The new version of The 20/20 Experience 2 of 2 track also features A$AP Rocky and Pusha T.

Kendrick and Cole have a long working relationship. K. Dot performed the hook to Cole’s Born Sinner song “Forbidden Fruit,” and Cole produced Kendrick’s song “HiiiPower” off Section.80. The two have hinted at creating a joint project together for years. They both will also be touring with Eminem in Australia early next year.

It seems all the attention “Control” received left Cole feeling he had to respond. On “TKO (Remix)” he raps:

Cole to the rescue, never save a ho / Hoes like to hide their behavior though / Thought you was a down ass b***h / Til I found that s**t a couple days ago / I was home alone, next thing I know / That long as verse from a song called “Control” was on / The room got nearer, the tomb got clearer / That’s when I seen the s**t playin’ on your phone  / Girl, what is that? A ringtone? / S**t, not you too / Man that hype done got you too / Everybody and their momma gassed / Even my momma asked what I’mma do / Decisions, decisions / In case this is war, then I load up on all ammunition / If a n***a want problems, my trigger’s on auto / I’ll make sure that nobody miss him

Hip-Hop Rumors: Nick Cannon Randomly Disses Kanye

I guess this ain’t a true diss, but Nick said it. Nick must really be feeling bad these days, because he just said it and ain’t delete it. But, all he said was “Kanye, you ain’t no genius!” Not exactly but he basically said that Kanye keeps championing himself a genius when…he’s the loudest voice.

So, he said it on twitter but he didn’t delete.

Nick is becoming a mogul if he already isn’t one.

This ain’t the first time Nick has had something to say about Kanye West.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Will Lil Mama Become TLC Official?

Lil Mama recently lost a court case. She now owes her lawyer about $18k in legal fees, because she stopped paying him after she won the case. And you thought you and I had money problems. He was fighting for her to keep her rap name so that’s a good look. Well, Lil Mama may not have issues like we thought since she is rumored to be the next member of TLC, formally becoming the rap portion that passed away when Left Eye died. Now, these rumors are nothing new. But, actual and factual, they have become more real since Left Eye’s portrayal of Lisa in the TLC made-for-TV movie. I think she can do it and TLC ain’t getting more relevant than they are now. I think its a good look.

I’ll tell you. The WorldStarring of Hip-Hop is getting things worse. But everything ain’t on the video site! But, some of it is. Below, you will see one beat down that has yet to be seen and another that has been seen by half a million people already.

One of the guys from Doughboyz Cashout got stomped out on Thanksgiving Day. Now, that’s not good! But, the holiday season matters not in the D. In fact, ‘Tis the Season to be Stomping and all that. This ain’t funny. There are a bunch of pics online and several of the chain that was taken from bruh bruh. I heard this happened to a dude named HBK…no reason giving. Online, people are just saying its purely hate, because the boy is shining and down with Jeezy. Sad…but they are saying that’s the culture in the D.

Peep:

Now, in Chicago, there is something else going on. I don’t even know what this is, but it was a beatdown clearly orchestrated for WSHH. Check how this kid gets sucker punched. There is some history behind it, but I could not tell what.

Apparently, the dude that got hit stole a TV from the other dude’s “OG” and tried to come back like it was all good in the hood.
