Jay-Z & Dame Dash Reunite…No Seriously

(AllHipHop News) If you checked Instagram this morning you’ve seen a grainy photo of Jay-Z and Dame Dash that could easily be mistaken for a #TbT pic.

Believe it or not, the photo was taken last night a mutual friend and music executive Chaka Pilgrim birthday party.

No word on if this will start the process to mend their friendship but who wouldn’t love to a reunited Rocafella?

Wu-Tang Clan’s Masta Killa & Mathematics Discuss The Impact of 2Pac’s Death On Hip Hop

(AllHipHop News) Tupac Amaru Shakur was killed seventeen years ago, but the iconic emcee/actor’s place in Hip Hop history lives on forever. Recently, Masta Killa and Mathematics of the Wu-Tang Clan spoke with NME about how Pac’s death altered the culture.

“I just think that just changed Hip Hop, because really before then it was more ‘Who are you?’, originality,” says Mathematics. “Then after that, I think it kind of changed a little bit.”

According to Mathematics, the loss of Pac led to a lot of rap imitators similar to the way Bruce Lee was duplicated after he passed. 2Pac’s murder made Masta Killa question how far removed was the rap game from street life.

“It made me start looking at it like, wow, what do I have do? Can I just come to work as freely as I’ve been?” added Masta Killa. “This part of my life helped me to escape other things where I come from, and now it’s making me look at the situation like maybe I haven’t even really gone too far.”

Cee Lo Green Says André 3000 Bothered By Bar Set For Him; Big Gipp: “I Know He Doing Something”

(AllHipHop News) A reunited Goodie Mob stopped by MTV’s Rap Fix Live on Wednesday to discuss a few topics. Ultimately, the conversation turned to their Dungeon Family brethren André 3000, and why the elusive OutKast emcee has taken so long to release a full length album.

After rumors began to circulate earlier this week that a new Dre solo project would be released in 2014, 3000’s publicist issued a statement saying that an album from Dre is not confirmed. Big Gipp believes that may be André 3000’s way off keeping the press off-balance.

“One thing that we know about 3000, whenever somebody see him doing something and they run and tell the press, he’ll always say I ain’t doing it,” said Gipp. “I know he doing something. That’s ol’ possum right there.”

Fellow Goodie Mob member and long-time friend of André 3000, Cee Lo Green, goes on to give his interpretation of why Dre has taken such a long hiatus from music.

“He just said he had a severe case of stage fright and just kind of been away from the game and didn’t know if he could truly live up… He just said he was bothered by this bar that had been set and maybe he wants to do something different, and he’ll always be his worse competition, his worse critic and maybe he don’t want to live up to what people think he should do,” explained Cee Lo.

André 3000 and Big Boi, as members of OutKast, became only the second Hip Hop act in history to win the Album of the Year Grammy for 2004’s Speakerboxxx/The Love Below. The 3000 led “Hey Ya!” was number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for nine weeks and become one of the biggest selling singles of the 2000’s.

The last full length project from OutKast was the Idlewild soundtrack in 2006. André has also provided guests verses for T.I., Beyoncé, and B.O.B among others recently.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Who Wins A Battle Between Nicki Minaj And Ransom?

The old Nicki came out on Ransom!

I never thought Nicki ever needed a ghostwriter, but Ransom started a rumor with an open-ended statement left for all to interpret. And so we did. NOW, he is claiming that he never said he ghostwrote for her, but “doing verses for her” is ambiguous at best.

RELATED: Nicki Minaj To Ransom: GET OFF MY D**K!

Now, he has kind of commented on the comments Nicki has said about him: Get off my D**k!” I’m glad she doesn’t really have one of those.

Tell us what you REALLLLLY feel, Ransom!

WHO WOULD WIN A LYRICAL BATTLE? (Ran is no slouch, FYI.)
