(AllHipHop News) Maybach Music Group’s Wale is releasing The Gifted in 2 weeks, and in celebration of his third album the DMV emcee may have a special connection to another significant third edition product.
In a video posted to his YouTube channel, the self-described sneaker head is seen taking a trip to New York City’s Flight Club to buy the store’s entire stock of Air Jordan 3’s.
At one point his associate, Sneaker Man Dan, hints that fans may have the chance to collect Wale custom Jordan 3 sneaks.
“Jordan 3’s – the shoes Jordan wore when he won the slam dunk contest in ’88 – Wale’s third album, we’re just blending everything together. Real deep theories, real strong vibes, and we getting it done,” said Dan. “And then we got the customs coming out, eighty-eight pairs – super exclusive.”
The Jordan 3’s are perhaps the most notable sneakers in history. Besides being the pair the basketball great wore during his legendary 1998 slam dunk contest victory, they are the first Air Jordan’s to feature the iconic “Jumpman” logo. The third J’s were also featured in the highly successful “Mars and Mike” Nike ad campaign with Spike Lee.
(AllHipHop News) Over the weekend reports began flying that rapper 2 Chainz was robbed at gunpoint in San Francisco. 2 Chainz was quick to deny that any of his property was taken or that he had been shot.

Rule#2 if a rapper gets shot he usually go to hospital or dies. Rule# 3 we definitely got geeked up in San Fran , best smoke in the world. 2 blessed 2 stress. I reportedly killed summer jam tho! #bayarea.

(AllHipHop News) According to Lil B, his 2011 mixtape I’m Gay (I’m Happy) changed rap music forever. In a recent interview with themusic.com, the California rapper also known as “The BasedGod” talks about how he feels his controversial digital release impacted Hip Hop culture, America, and all of mankind.
“I definitely think I’m a revolutionary with the human rights, the love, the progression of the human race as a whole,” said B. “You never, ever seen an artist that had enough respect to do what I did. I titled the mixtape I’m Gay, and it went against everything – fans, anybody. I said that and I did that and I put it out there. I didn’t ask for any opinion. I just put it out there, and I did that myself to help the world, and I’m extremely happy about it.”
Lil B, who insists he is straight, decided to name the mixtape “I’m Gay” as a way to show support for the gay community and to take a stand against homophobia. Telling MTV, “I’ve never been attracted to a man in my life. But yes I am gay, I’m so happy. I’m a gay, heterosexual male… I got major love for the gay and lesbian community, and I just want to push less separation and that’s why I’m doing it.”
At the time many of his fans responded negatively. Lil B even received death threats from former supporters, but despite the backlash the Berkeley, California native seems content with his decision.
“I can go to sleep every day knowing I’ve done stuff that nobody else has done,” said B. “I changed rap. I changed rap music. America after Lil B will be a great place. The United States after Lil B will be great.”
(AllHipHop News) With just six days until the release of his highly anticipated sixth solo album, Yeezus, Kanye West related news rolls on. The latest accounts come in the form of videos featuring three of the songs from the album.
The first vid is a 30-second clip of Ye recording “I Am A God” with an appearance by the LP’s executive producer Rick Rubin.
Secondly, footage of Kanye performing “New Slaves” a capella at Design Miami/ Basel in Switzerland hit the net. He also previews a recording of the track “On Site” at the end.
For the love of Hop-Hop! It looks like Love and Hip-Hop will be coming back. Remember, the cast decided not to show up for a recent shoot. But, they have reportedly settled on the money that the cast will be paid. I guess souls are going for cheap this year. Seriously, I hear some cast members are getting as much as $50 Grand per episode.
Whoa. They are saying that 2 Chainz had to do some street negotiating after that situation at the weed spot.
Joey Bada$$ says management forced him to push back his upcoming Summer Knight EP from its original June 12th release date to July 1st. To make up for that he releases a new song from the project entitled “’95 Till Infinity” along with the Summer Knights cover.
Produkt is riding high with the release of his critically acclaimed music videos “Come Get Me” and “Father Forgive Me.” The music videos have received over 250,000 views among various blogs including WorldstarHipHop.com. Produkt’s impressive presence on WorldstarHipHop and other blogs has led to him receiving a clothing sponsorship from L.E.S. clothing.
Background: Bronx based rapper Produkt is committed to providing the world with quality, cutting edge music. His major influences include legends Big Pun and Tupac. His production is handled by DJ Buzz, Drawzilla, Joe Milly, Joe White, Vinny Idol and others.
AllHipHop.com: What’s good Produkt? Give us some background info as to who you are
Produkt: My stage name is Produkt. I’m an emcee who was born and raised in the Bronx. My dad left my older brother and me when I was 7 years old. Moms took care of us as best she could. Ultimately, it was the streets that shaped who I am today.
AllHipHop.com: What is the significance of your name?
Produkt: Growing up in the streets I got caught up in a lifestyle that I prefer not to glorify. That doesn’t change the fact that I was successful at it. No matter what business you’re in, you have to strive to be the best at it. You have to guard your reputation as the man with the best “product” who is willing to die to protect it. Soon everybody on the block started to call me “Crack”. As I continued to make music, I knew that that name was not something that I could run with so I changed the name to Product. Once I dedicated my life to branding the name as an artist, I changed the spelling to Produkt because my management team and I felt it would be more marketable and less generic.
AllHipHop.com: Who is your target market?
Produkt: My target market is people who are willing to pay for music. I don’t want fans that are only loyal to the artist who drop s### for free. Those are the least loyal customers. I’m all for dropping mixtapes, but if that’s the extent of your loyalty to me and my hard work, then you can keep it moving.
AllHipHop.com: What is your USP? (Unique Selling Proposition) and what sets you apart from other Hip Hop artists?
Produkt: It might sound repetitive but what sets me apart is obvious when you see my first 2 videos. I challenge any artist with a major label behind them to f### with my visuals. My Unique Selling Proposition (USP) is this: “The Market Don’t Exist Without the Produkt.” The first time you hear my music or see my video you won’t ask yourself “who the f### is this guy”? You will ask yourself “damn, why haven’t I’ve heard of him before”? There’s a difference. There’s too many unsigned artists throwing a ton of s### out there and hoping it sticks. I’m never going to do that. I’d rather put out a classic video once a year than 5 b####### videos a month.
AllHipHop.com: What single or project are you currently pushing?
Produkt: The track we are most excited about is called “Bottles In Here”. It’s that 2AM club type of banger that has a strong radio vibe to it yet is lyrical enough to attract the hip-hop purists. For more information about me check out my website www.IamProdukt.com. And follow me on Twitter @ProduktJRG. Thanks for the opportunity. Shout out to all my peoples holding me down. Shout out to Frank Urban and shout out to LES Clothing.
I told you once and I told you a million times, the quality of the rumors is largely based on the people – aka sources. If you see something, say something, but say it to me. Then YOU are basically dictating the rumors, not the rags. I hear things and gather things, but I only have 3 eyes. Jeez. So, email me at ki*********@***il.com with your rumors.
On to the rumor, that’s not really a rumor!
THAT SAID…here is a weird one. A vixen only known for her big, artificial booty and a real book is getting a reduction. That’s right, when everybody else is going bigger, she’s going smaller. Peep this release:
On the behalf of Vanity Wonder, we are excited to contact you to announce that she has decided to have butt reduction surgery. This was a decision that did not come easily for many reasons but ultimately, every party involved feels that this is the right path to take. As of right now, she is narrowing down her choice of which Board Certified Plastic Surgeon she will have do the surgery. Thank you for sharing this exciting, scary but ultimately life changing chapter of Vanity’s life with us!
(AllHipHop News) In his best Bill Clinton impersonation (sort of) Kanye West denies the recent claims from Canadian model/bartender, Leyla Ghobadi that her and Kanye had sex while he has been with Kim Kardashian.
Kanye’s reps contacted TMZ to squash the rumor and chalks this one up to an overly opportunistic attention seeker:
“This most recent attack on Kanye West and his family is totally without merit. It’s a blatant attempt by a misguided individual who is clearly seeking publicity, and another in a series of malicious stories drummed up by non-credible ‘news’ sources.”
This is not the first time Kanye and Kim have been involved in an adulterous love triangle. In a 2012 interview with Star magazine, Kanye’s ex Amber Rose called Kim a “homewrecker” and alleged that she cheated on her former boyfriend Reggie Bush with Kanye.
