April 28, 2013: The last time that Jeezy and Ross were in the building together was the BET HIP HOP AWARDS – and the two turn’t up and had to have police called.
So when BOTH Jeezy and his crew and Rick Ross and his crew hit up NY’s hottest club Greenhouse last week after the NFL Draft – everyone thought it was gonna be a PROBLEM!!!
Tells an MTO insider, “Rick Ross, Wale, Busta Rhymes and DJ Khaled (all came together) and their crews [were seated] in the VIP and Jeezy and his people were on the floor near the DJ booth.”
Luckily the club’s DJ Scram Jones had to be the “pacifier,” playing neutral music all night that kept both parties happy. The insider added, “BOTH parties were asking Scram to play different songs and Scram felt immense pressure to appease them both. So he played Jeezy tracks and Rick Ross tracks back and fourth since Khaled wanted to hear his records and then the second Jeezy left, he played BMF.”

But, its also time that Big Sean return to the front too, because his Detroit Mixtape was crazy. What’s funny is that for a minute there it was speculated that Big Sean didn’t exactly have the respect of his peers in the D. Maybe that was the underground. But, whatever that was before, it seems to be 100% eradicated. Has there been any formal confirmation of what these dudes were working on?

Whatever it is, it looks pretty freakin’ epic.

President Obama Gets Funny With Jay-Z and DJ Khaled At Correspondence Dinner

(AllHipHop News) President Obama let the funnies loose again at the annual Correspondence Dinner in Washington D.C. over the weekend, a festivity that included DJ Khaled and Jay-Z references.

The president hit the podium in the Washington Hilton Hotel to the sweet sounds of DJ Khaled’s T-Pain assisted “All I Do Is Win,” a move certain to raise the ire of Republicans.

The president also addressed the Jay-Z/Cuba issue that caused controversy.

Obama said, “But some things are beyond my control. For example, this whole controversy about Jay-Z going to Cuba. It’s unbelievable. I’ve got 99 problems and now Jay-Z’s one. That’s another rap reference, Bill, I want to let you know.”

Police Arrest Russian Mobster In Murder Of Lil Phat

(AllHipHop News) Russian mobster Mani Chulpayev stands accused of putting out hit out on rapper Lil Phat in a drive by that resulted in the death of the rapper as he sat outside a hospital.

Last June, Lil Phat was about to go into an Atlanta hospital to witness the birth of his child when his life was cut short in a drive by shooting. He was supposedly talking to police about Chulpayev selling stolen cars.

Local Channel 2 provided invaluable information to police in their investigation, which focused on Chulpayev’s Atlanta car business. Lil Phat was leasing a BMW and an Audi from the accused.

Chulpayev proclaimed his innocence through his lawyer. who incidentally was also Lil Phat’s lawyer when he was alive.

Attorney George Plumides said, “Mani had nothing against this kid, and grieved when he found out he got killed. They put him out of business and they have nothing.”

Lil Phat was a Trill Entertainment rapper.

Mannnnnnnnnn…I thought the rappers of the 80’s and 90’s were rock stars! But, Danny Brown is soon to be in the hall of fame for this. Seems like a girl gave him top live on stage yesterday and Detroit Dan took to Twitter to share the news. He and Kendrick got into a brief conversation on the social network and the news spread crazy.

Chris Brown’s Father Thinks Son’s Relationship With Rihanna Could Be Tragic

(AllHipHop News) Ever since Rihanna and Chris Brown reuinted in late 2012, everyone has had an opinion on the polarizing union. Chris Brown’s father, Clinton Brown, can be added to that list after telling the New York Daily News he does not approve of the reunion.

The 48 year old resident of Tappahannock, VA told the New York Daily News that he personally did not want the tumultuous couple together due to an imbalance of their similar personalities:

“You have to have a balance in a relationship. You have to have someone who is spontaneous and whimsical but you also have to have someone who is grounded and logical.”

While not explicitly stating that his son’s romance with Rihanna could be fatal, he does compare his son’s current life to artists who suffered tragic deaths:

“I hate to use examples, but Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston and Amy Winehouse — I mean I could go on and on!”

Brown’s father also hinted that there is more to the story of the infamous night of the 2009 Grammy’s where Chris Brown brutally assaulted Rihanna while behind the wheel of his car:

“One has to assume because they are back together that it wasn’t one-sided. You just have to imagine it was a circumstance in which they both had a disagreement.”

Brown does not exhibit a personal gripe against Rihanna and even stated the raunchy R&B princess “was very respectful and polite.”

Clinton split from Chris Brown’s mother, Joyce Hawkins when Brown was only six years old yet stays very close with his son.

Looks Like Wayne will be walking down the Aisle Soon. We saw a preview of Lil Wayne on Vinny Guadagnino‘s “The Show With Vinny” at the start of the year, now you can watch the official trailer for the TV show.
At the 0:32 mark of the trailer, Weezy F Baby can be heard saying “my fiance is Italian” when asked if he has ever eaten Italian food before. He also said it with a smirk on his face, so I think we all know what food he is talking about lol. Wayne doesn’t mention Dhea‘s name, but I’m pretty sure it is her he is talking about because she is Italian.
Tunechi also seemed really happy when Sway asked him if he could ever see himself getting married in November last year; his response was: “I will be running down the aisle”. Nicki Minaj mentioned this in her hilarious video with Wayne too; she can be heard saying: “I know your fiance is around”.

Wayne and Dhea have been dating since December 2010. In the beginning of their relationship, Lil Wayne was Dating his artist Shanell, but later broke things off to Pursue Dhea. Dhea and Wayne have been rumored to be engaged since February 2012. Dhea gets along with All of Wayne’s four Children, and their mothers. On Valentines day 2004, He married Antonia “Toya” Johnson, His middle school sweetheart. The two Separated in January 2005, and their Divorce was finalized in January 2006. He got engaged to Author and Reality Star Toya Wright three times, He got engaged to Actress Lauren London Three times, he got engaged to singer Nivea twice, he was engaged to Stylist Sarah Vivan, and he was engaged to Rapper Trina. Lil Wayne has previously been engaged a total of 10 times.

Here is the other reason why I think it may be true! Remember, recently Karrine Steffans said that she was Wayne’s forever or something. And just today there was a rumor where she has proclaimed that he’s got a small wee-wee. Pause. I wasn’t even going to give that any time as a rumor, but the vindictiveness of the rumor is right on time if there is any fact to the engagement chatter. Below is plenty of evidence to support this one!

Will Jay-Z be able to do it? The word is The Nets were largely interested in Jigga Man, because they though he could possibly get Lebron James to the franchise. He wasn’t able, if he was ever charged with that. Now that Jay has his dope new company RocNation Sports, he’s killing it. Can he kill it farther? The latest is that he’s trying to pull LeBron into the stable of stars. Some have already come forward to refute the rumor, based on the fact that Bron Bron LEFT CAA last September and they are Jay-Z’s partner in this sports venture. Not a lot more to it, but I think that Jay and Bron’s relationship could triumph over whatever happened with the CAA situation. Perception alone is killer. We’ll see.

EXCLUSIVE: Emmett Till’s Family Plans To Relentlessly Pursue Lil Wayne’s Sponsors

(AllHipHop News) The family of Emmett Till simply wanted an apology from Lil Wayne after a song lyric offensively referenced their kin’s name.

On the unreleased remix of Future’s “Karate Chop,” Wayne rapped, “”beat the p—y up like Emmett Till.” The family of Till and others felt it was disrespectful to both the deceased teen as well as women.

Since, the rapper has not apologized, the Till family have told AllHipHop.com exclusively that they intend to pressure Lil Wayne’s sponsors, namely Mountain Dew.

Shortly, the Till Family are expected to make offensive moves forward to further address Wayne and Mountain Dew, a product of PepsiCo. A similar tactic by women’s group UltraViolet resulted in Reebok dropping Rick Ross from their campaign.

EXCLUSIVE: Scott Storch Speaks On Health, Producing and New Career As A DJ

(AllHipHop News) Scott Storch recently sat down for an interview to update the Hip-Hop community about his personal life, jumping back into the music business and his new career as a DJ.

“I think I’m finally falling in love with music again , I lost the passion for a while …due to public personal issues and stuff I went through,” Scott Storch told AllHipHop.com in an exclusive interview.

“As time goes by, the clarity I’m gaining everyday, I feel like my music is getting better,” Storch continued. “More vivid and just efffortless…I’m really focused in the studio, doing more production than ever. I’m like a studio junkie now.”

Scott Storch is back in the studio with some of Hip-Hop’ biggest acts, including 2 Chainz, artists on the Poe Boy imprint and Bronx, New York rapper, French Montana.

“I hope to do many records with him, he’s definitely an ill MC he’s got serious swag,” Scott Storch said of French Montana. “I think that he’s got a cool sound the melodic stuff he does.”

As Scott makes his return to the world of Hip Hop he has also taken interest in interest in one of the “Five Elements” of Hip-Hop – DJ’ing.

“The DJ is really making some serious paper and its a good venue to solicit  your own records,” Scott Storch told AllHipHop.com. “I’m trying to do something a little different, similar to the way Travis Barker and DJ AM did.

After years of drug addiction and at least one stint in rehab, Scott Storch reassured everyone that he was sober and focused on his work.

“Being visible and just letting the world know Scott Storch is back ..I’m inspired and hungry. I got a big appetite for success right now. Contrary to the rumors that surround me I’m doing just fine,” Scott Storch told AllHipHop.com. “I’m living a healthy life ..I just been very secluded in the past few months and just in the studio focusing on that…I didn’t forget how to make hits…I do this. ”

Big Daddy Kane Congratulates Public Enemy on Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame Induction in London

Hip-Hop legend Big Daddy Kane performed several classic joints, freestyles and tracks off his latest project, Las Supper, in London on Thursday night (April 25).

During the performance, the Brooklyn-bred rapper performed songs from his catalog,such as “Raw,” “Warm it up Kane,” “Smooth Operator” and many other tracks.

Kane congratulated Public Enemy on their induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and was proud that hip-hop was a part of the museum, which archives the history of some of the best-known and most influential artists and producers around the world.

He also paid tribute to artists who have passed such as Big L, Guru, Heavy D and Lisa “Left Eye”Lopes, who passed away  11 years ago, on April 25, 2002.

The show is part of a two night tour at London’s Jazz Cafe.
