Hip-Hop Rumors: Chris Brown Takes It All Back…

Chris Brown has (accidentally) pulled a fast one. Or the media has taken something and run with it, misleading us all. I don’t know, but over the weekend, Chris Brown said that it was over between him and Rihanna. To that, a lot of people celebrated. [RELATED: Hip-Hop Rumors: FINALLY: Rihanna And Chris Brown Are OVER!] Chris Bosh did the following again:

But, soon it was apparent that there was some funny business going on with the report. Hence, the Bosh face.

Just today, Chris Brown recanted all that break up talk, saying “Rihanna and I are fine.” He also expressed remorse and regret for beating her up. Again.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Nore and Capone Beefing Again! Snitching Rumors Arise!

Things done changed since “The War Report” was made.

I’m hearing that Noreaga and Capone are beefing again. And this pretty much extends past the rumor and is basically confirmed fact by the streets. But, the wormhole goes much deeper, from what I am hearing. So, you remember Prodigy’s book called “My Infamous Life,” right? Well, that book caused a s**t storm in Queens. More significantly, he said that Capone was a snitch, something that Cap denied. But, I am hearing that in a drunken stupor Capone admitted to Nore that he ratted on Killer Black, as Prodigy charged. Now, it seems people are looking for Cap to simply come clean in order to somehow move forward. Cap is not trying to do that. I heard he’s p##### at P for putting in the book but won’t say a word to P. The source is solid – a Queens OG.

Anyway, Cap has already addressed this and here it is. IF something has changed, we’ll know very soon….

Capone Goes In On Prodigy For Calling Him A Snitch! (Act I)

Hip-Hop Rumors: Is Kelly Rowland Playing An April Fools Joke?

Illseed_loves_kelly_rowland

I’m not sure what is going on here. I guess you can help me out. First of all, she said in a recent interview with Big Tigger, the homey, that “Bow Down” is a great record. I’m not sure how she formed this opinion, but that may be just showing love to B. Peep the quote and tell me what stands out as odd.

“I think it’s a great record (“Bow Down”). It’s her expression. I think, as an artist, you can express yourself however you want to and I just can’t wait for everybody to hear the rest of the record. It is insane.”

What does she mean when she says “the rest of the record”? I guess she means the album. This is the latest in a saga called “When Will Beyonce’s Album Drop?” I heard its pushed back to the fall, but think it will drop much sooner. Anyway, I personally think “Bow Down” is a supremely entertaining song. We’ve been talking about it since it came out.

Kelly has a new album out that she talked to Tig about as well.

“I’m actually in the process of wrapping it up this weekend. This is actually the last recording session I’ve got for this album, but I’m so excited. I’ve been in the studio with Dream. I’ve been in the studio with Harmony. I’ve been in the studio with Pharrell. I’ve been in the studio with Kevin Cossom, who is incredible. When I tell you, he is so incredible and I’m so happy I got the opportunity to work with him.”

There was nothing rumor related to this…sorry for wasting your time…

Love & Hip Hop’s Winter Ramos talks Dating, Why She Doesnt Watch The Show + More

(AllHipHop News) Winter Ramos has over 15 years of experience in the Hip Hop industry as everything from a wardrobe stylist for Murder Inc to manager for Fabolous. Unbeknownst to the majority of the people who watch her on Love & Hip Hop is the behind the scene stories that would lead someone to writing a tell-all book detailing the entertainment industry’s secret world. Winter Ramos talks exclusively with AllHipHop about h0w she got herself caught up in this industry, how she could write thousands of pages worth of industry stories and more.

[ALSO READ: EXCLUSIVE: Game and Jadakiss Appear In Winter Ramos’ Tell-All Book]

AllHipHop: What were your motivations and your mindset for writing this book?

Everyone had been telling me ‘you should write a book.’ I started hearing it from so many different people. Honestly, I didn’t think my story was that interesting. I lived it. That’s my day do tday. It’s not a big deal. But, when you start talking to people who are not a part of the industry and start start telling people, male and female, it’s like ‘That’s crazy.’ That’s an aspiring for a young woman who want to get in this industry. They watch videos and they think that is all it is about. When in actuality there is a whole world behind those cameras that people do not know about.

AllHipHop: What was one of the toughest situations to talk about in the book?

Nothing. I’m usually an open book as far as things that are bothering or issues that I have. I do not embarrass easily and I am not ashamed of anything that I have done. For me, I like to tell my story whether it makes me look crazy or makes me look good. I rather tell my story so I can get honest opinions. I don’t like to pick and choose what I tell people. Even with me being on a show like Love and Hip Hop. I could get on the show like a lot of ladies and say ‘Oh I don’t do that. I don’t date celebrities.’ Then people get up in your business anyway. The hardest part of writing the book was picking what stories to put in the book. What fit with the timeline. What was too much information. If I told everything the book would probably be 10,000 pages long.

AllHipHop: So how did you choose what to put in and what not to?

We just put a list of names and I jotted down situations with each. I also had journals that the publisher went through. It was a matter of process of elimination.  The majority of the events in each chapter, I learned something from them so if it was a situation where I felt like I didn’t learn anything from it or I felt no one else could learn anything from it then we didn’t use it.

AllHipHop: You’re as controversial off the show as you are on the show Love & Hip Hop.  What do you think is your character on the show?

I have no idea. I don’t think they gave me a  character. You know why I say that? If it’s someone like Tahiry or Raqi. You see every week in three to four scenes an episode so you can get a better idea of the person that they are. When you see me for eight seconds in one episode and then see me for 30 seconds in the next you cant build a character. There was no character building. No one knows how I talk. No one knows that I’m funny. No one knows that I’m caring. They don’t know what the hell is going on in my life. All they know is that a book is coming out. Period. People on Twitter always saying “well what does she do?” You don’t know any of that if you didn’t watch last season when I was on  with Emily. You didn’t know I was Fab’s assistant. You didn’t know I did styling at Murda Inc. You didn’t know I worked at Slip-N-Slide Records. I worked Rick Ross projects.

You didn’t know I did styling at Murder Inc. You didn’t know I worked at Slip-N-Slide Records. I worked Rick Ross projects.

AllHipHop: Which storyline is your favorite on Love & Hip Hop?

I don’t watch the show.

AllHipHop: Oh you don’t watch the show?

No. [Laughs] There are episodes of myself that I still haven’t seen. I don’t know it’s weird seeing yourself on TV. It’s awkward.  I don’t look at myself as Winter Ramos on Love & Hip Hop. I’m just a Spanish girl from the projects that has grinded in the industry that has got the chance to get on TV because of her hardwork.

AllHipHop: How did you get into the industry? What made you want to get into this industry?

When I was in High School I used to go to this club called The Tunnel. A lot of the biggest artists now used to hang out at The Tunnel. The Jay-Z’s, the B.I.G.’s, the Puff [Daddy]’s. They were no ones at the time. I had met [Junior M.A.F.I.A. member] Nino Brown. I was always hanging out with them and seeing them come into into this industry I was like ‘This is cool.’ There wasn’t a lot of money  being made but you’re hanging out at the house with someone, you turn on the TV and oh sh*t they have a video on Video Music Box. It intrigued my interest but I did not know what to do. But I hung around and saw what was going on. Then I saw there was wardrobe styling and how you can bring clothes to these events to these photo shoots and video shoots and make great money.

AllHipHop: You were in college for a while. When did you decide to do styling full time and how much of college did you get done before you left?

I was in my third year of school. I had this friend, Dan Tan who used to throw parties in New York and I used to go to a lot of his paraties before I left for the parties. I ran into him at the Def Jam building when I was with one of my homegirls  whowas working at Interscope with Foxy Brown’s brother Antoine. I ran in to Dan Tan and I told him I was doing the styling thing on the side and going to school. At the time, Murda Inc had fired their stylist at the time. He was like “You want to work with Rule” and I was like H*ll yeah.” I never went back to school.

AllHipHop: What were the factors that led to you starting to become intimate with some of these entertainers?

In this industry. It’s not a job. It becomes a lifestyle. 24 hours a day. Seven days a week. You’re around these guys on a consistent basis. You’re at the offices. You’re at the video shoots.  You’re at the photoshoots. You’re at the dinners. You’re at the house. You’re at the events. I’m not a bad looking young lady. I’m the typical female they go for. Spanish, long hair and pretty girl. Since those were the guys I were around all the time those were the guys who would approached me that kind of intrigued me. So why not?  I wasn’t hanging out anywhere else. So of course  I’m going to end up dating all of the guys I end up surrounding myself with.

AllHipHop: Is there any one relationship that stands out the most to you?

Hell no. [Laughs] They weren’t all the same but they all ended the same. It was all game. That’s why I named the book “Game Over”. Regardless of who he is these celebrities are human. They’re men . They have feelings. They care, they cry and they bleed. Just because they are on television doesn’t make them superheroes. It all starts out the same. ‘Oh he’s feeling me, we’re spending a lot of time together, we’re on the phone a lot. He’s busy, he’s doing his thing and then it all kind of ends the same way. It’s just game. It’s A LOT of game that you have to play. When you get sick of playing the game with that particular person you move on to playing the game with someone else.

AllHipHop: What story didn’t make the book that you think people would be interested in knowing about?

Hmm.. There’s not one story in particular but in the book I’ve only named one athlete that I have been with because that was a relationship that I was in. So I would say dating an athlete takes a certain type of person. Any young lady who is currently in a relationship with in an athlete or that is her goal need to know that there is a lot of sh*t that goes on. It takes  a certain woman to date an athlete, stay sane and live a normal life with a man that rich. You have to expect things. I always get confused is a woman strong for withstanding all the bullsh*t that comes with these types of relationships or is she weak for accepting for allowing this guy to put her through this because he has money and he is on TV.

AllHipHop: What type of celebrity was the best to date? Athletes? Entertainers? Executives?

I would say an executive because he is more stable and he’s in the office a lot of the times. Unless you have an executive who wants to be an artist who when the artist is on the road he wants to be there. But with executives it is a more stable environment. Where they are home a lot of times and able to work these long hours. For the most part they don’t have to attend . They get to pick and choose which events they go to. When you’re an artist, you go wherever  they tell you to go. An athlete is on the road 6 months out of the year, you have no control over that. He’s in Chicago and from Chicago he goes to New York. From New York he goes to Miami. That is everyday life for almost half the year.

AllHipHop: You’re very forward. Do you think your personality could be abrasive at times? Are you cynical towards love?

No. I think everything happens for a  reason. All these guys that I had mentioned in the book, I don’t have a problem with them. I don’t want to see somebody not getting money, not being successful or not doing their thing. I don’t look at it like ‘I cant believe he did this, eff him.’ No. They handled me that way. It is what it is. I’m straight forward but I’ve always been like that. I was the assistant to a multiplatinum selling artist. I had to be like that and get down to the point. There was no beating around the bush. There was no playing around. I didn’t have time for that then and I don’t have time for that now. When you in an industry where you’re surrounded by a bunch of men you cant be emotional  and you cant be a typical girl is in certain situations because you got to keep it moving. If I dwelled on that s### I would’ve cut my wrist a long time ago.

AllHipHop: Will there be other books?

There’s definitely going to be more books. I might do some non-fiction. I have so many stories that I can write an entire book off of one incident. Once this I put out and we maximize its exposure I’ll see what’s next. But ther will definitely be more books. I have a publisher who understands my hard work. If there’s anything that needs to happen I make it happen. I put all my people in a place where all of us can get money and not just me. So in a situation like that I can talk to her

AllHipHop: You are in a relationship with someone who is not in the industry. How’s that?

It’s cool. It’s fun. It’s totally different from anything else that I’ve done before. It’s a learning procees having a situation where this person is around all the time. This is a better situation and at the end of the day this is real and this is not some bullsh*T.

Another Rapper Becomes A Victim Of Gun Violence In Miami

(AllHipHop News) Over the last several months several high-profile shootings involving rappers have taken place in the Miami area. Last October buzzing rapper Bizzle was shot and killed in Liberty City.

In February another rising MIA emcee, Young Scrilla, took a bullet to thigh during a video shoot in Overtown.

Then there was the well publicized January drive-by shooting involving MMG head Rick Ross in Fort Lauderdale.

The most recent rapper to become a victim of gun violence in South Florida is 20-year-old Kenneth Casilla also known by his rap name Nu Money of Rich Mafia.

Casilla was shot and killed last week in an apartment complex parking lot in Little Haiti.

“He was in a car with somebody he knows and another guy in the back, and my son gets shot and nobody else gets shot,” Kenneth’s mother, Yvette Casilla, told NY1.

Kenneth was originally from Brooklyn, New York, but the young emcee moved to Miami to further his career in music. His mother says that she believes Kenneth was shot because of envy.

“He wasn’t involved in anything,” said Yvette Casilla. “But jealousy, yeah.”

This was very similar to comments made by Young Scrilla’s mother after her son was shot. Quantrel Scott told Miami’s Local 10 that “jealous people” were to blame in Scrilla’s shooting.

Yvette Casilla believes that her son’s murderer is from New York. Miami-Dade police have not identified a motive for Casilla’s killing, and so far no suspects have been named.

A vigil has been created outside of Kenneth’s Brooklyn apartment.

“They took my son. Why?” Yvette Casilla asked. “What did my son do to them to kill him like that?”

No evidence has been presented to suggest that any of these recent shootings are related.

Wiz Khalifa Suing Concert Promoter For $1 Million

(AllHipHop News) Taylor Gang leader Wiz Khalifa is apparently looking for $1 million from a concert promotion company that “damaged his reputation” according to TMZ.

Wiz was scheduled to perform at George Mason University in Fairfax County, Virgina on December 6th of last year, but Wiz claims that It’s My Party Inc., the company who booked him for the show, cancelled the concert at the last moment.

In the lawsuit, the new father states that It’s My Party was to pay him $85,000 and a portion of the profits from the event. Wiz believes he is also owed damages because the late cancellation hurt his credibility.

TMZ reports that It’s My Party says the reason the show was shut down was because they had difficulty selling the $45 tickets to fill up the 7,000 seat Patriot Center.

The company also claims that they never signed a contract with Wiz, so they are not legally required to pay the rap star.

The GMU show was the closing date of Wiz’s 36-city “The 2050 Tour” which also featured his Taylor Gang crew members Juicy J, Chevy Woods, and Lola Monroe.

Hip-Hop Rumors: What Former Dipset Member Is Looking At Hard Time?

(Don’t worry, its neither of these dudes)

Oh my god. Times are hard out here and rappers are catching it left and right. Some of them are creating these circumstances are other are creating it too. (That’s not a typo, I promise.) I guess what I am saying is some people have the country’s situation to blame for their problems and others have just themselves to blame. Either way, its on you. OK, I guess that makes no sense. The point I am getting at is that one of Dipset’s former team members is in some real hot water.

The Good folks over at Drank and Dank dropped a heavy bomb this Easter Monday morning (drankanddank.blogspot.com/). They are saying that former Dipset first lady Jha Jha is in serious legal trouble. They have busted her for running drugs in Miami. You remember Jha Jha right? Well, she’s gonna need JAH JAH get wriggle out of fed charges. Here is what she used to look like:

Here’s another pic:

Here’s what she looks like now though:

mug-shot-57289721 (1)

According to this report, Jha Jha is looking at 10 years…ironically this is Dipset’s 10 year anniversary. Maybe they will help.

Here is the report from Drank And Dank:

Dipset’s former first lady, Jha Jha, also known as Natoya Handy to the federal government, has fell upon some rough times with the Feds down in Miami.

After what should have been a simple traffic stop for tinted windows on a rental car almost a year ago in Miami, things only got more complicated and shady from then on.

When asked to search the vehicle she was driving, Handy declined, but the Miami Gardens Police took it upon themselves to call the rental car company that owned the vehicle and told them the vehicle was being used for crimes and was having it towed.

Once impounded, the search (which details have not been released) led to Jha Jha’s arrest on 10 charges of fraud and possession of prescription drugs without a prescription.

Things only got worse when the U.S. Marshalls came knocking down Handy’s door six months later on October 9 and then sent her to jail for possession of an access device and intent to defraud. All charges could lead to up to ten years in jail if convicted.

While all the details have yet to come out, sources close to Jha Jha tell Drank and Dank that the Feds offered a plea to lessen her jail time if she would help lead them to another arrest. In relation, there is a lot of belief that these charges were drawn up in order to lead to another arrest by the U.S. Marshalls.

After declining to provide any information, the Feds moved forward with one count of possession and five counts of intent to defraud by using false names. The story does not seem to stick quite yet for the Feds, however, as the IRS has yet to charge Handy for any of the names the U.S. Marshall claims she was using.

Handy has pleaded not guilty to all six charges and is out on a $50,000 bond. Trial is set to begin early next month, Drank and Dank will continue to follow the story and update with any details as we get them.

Pusha T Talks Lil Wayne Beef, Top MCs, & Next Single

(AllHipHop News) G.O.O.D. Music veteran Pusha T appeared on Hot 107’s The Q Deezy Show last week, and the “Exodus 23:1” rapper touched on a range of topics including his reaction to Lil Wayne’s recent hospital stint, whether he’s willing to record with the Young Money leader, his top emcees in the game, and details on his album.

As far as creating a track with his long-time rival Wayne, Pusha says that is not something he is interested in doing at this point suggesting that Wayne’s skills are currently not up to par for a worthy collaboration.

“I don’t wanna see that. You acting like this Carter 2 Wayne,” Pusha responded when asked by the host about the potential musical union. “All these people out here rapping good and you wanna tell me you wanna see me with… you disrespecting me.”

During the interview Pusha also did not appear too concerned about Wayne’s recent health situation that landed him in the hospital.

[ALSO READ: Lil Wayne Has Epilepsy, Says He “Could’ve Died”]

“Did they do like a candlelight vigil or anything? Oh, so it wasn’t important right?” he says before laughing.

The Clipse emcee was eager to talk about his upcoming album My Name Is My Name due out this summer.

Pusha’s solo debut LP will feature production by Swizz Beatz, Pharrell, The-Dream, Rico Beats, Don Cannon, and Kanye West. Kanye will also appear on Pusha’s next single entitled “I Am.”

While Kanye and Pusha mesh well in the studio, their respective opinions on who is Hip-Hop’s top emcee varies. Last month West said he felt that Lil Wayne is the best rapper in the world, a point of view Pusha clearly does not share.

“Me and Kanye have a difference in taste. It is okay. He can have that as an opinion,” said Pusha. “Ma$e was also his favorite rapper at one time.”

Pusha also disagrees with two unnamed selections on MTV’s recent Hottest MCs list. While he understands that not releasing an album last year is probably what kept him off the list, he believes one important criteria should be considered more seriously when choosing the top rappers in the game.

“I feel like you have to be quotable to be on the hottest emcee list,” says Pusha.

The rapper says that the singer inflated her role on his songs and that he doesn’t owe her anything, according to a report by TMZ.

The singer claims she co-wrote and sang on 14 songs and is owed more from RZA.

The rapper claims she’s lying, but admits that they worked on several tracks. She was work-for-hire, according to legal docs.

So, Riff Raff, who I thought was a parody, is not the happiest of campers since actor James Franco is playing a drug dealing character that closely resembles him. Riff Raff conducted an interview with Skee TV and expressed his opinion. He talks a lot of money sh*t, but where does he make his money? Rap? Or is his life closer to Franco’s character?

Since we are talking about white rappers, here’s more f**kery with V-Nasty.

MFers just doing any got damn thing these days, huh? Got damn.

THE GOSSIP GAME…

So, this show the Gossip Game is about to get it poppin on VHI. The show comes alive on April 1, but its not April Fools Joke. The show is headed by Mona Scott and it follows several real life industry women in media. The crazy thing is, when I first broke the news of the real cast, part of me thought it was going to be fake. But, the real life of it is, this is real. Some of these women have real beefs with each other. Now, there is a person named Viv and she and Ms. Drama go at it. I heard they have several real life confrontations that are REAL. One event, I heard there was a fisticuffs so crazy that Michael Kyser of Atlantic Records had to kick everybody out of one of his parties. Anyway, the whole first episode is online and I’m about to watch it right now. Its streamed below.

And here is K. Foxx calling Angela Yee fake. On the real, I think its mostly about media and women..but beef sells.

NICKI’S FAULT?

This ain’t right. American Idol is going down the tube, it seems. And they are now definitely blaming Nicki Minaj. I don’t think its fair since the show was already on the decline when Nicki came in. Really, its been on the decline since Simon left, but that’s another story. Anyway, fans and insiders alike are seemingly pointing the fingers at Mariah. Honestly, I don’t know. I have not watched American Idol once this time. There wasn’t any stand out goof ball either like “you looking like a fool with ya pants on the ground” man.

Anyway, don’t blame Nicki. She’s just doing what she supposed to do. GET PAID.

DON’T HATE THE PLAYA….HE’S A PLAYA!

Earlier in the week they said Gordon from Sesame Street had abandoned his wife (they were together for 40 years, but never legally married) and kids for another woman. And word on the street (The NY Post) is that they are destitute. He’s catching hell over it in the media and the blogs. This is Gordon (Real name: Roscoe Orman):

Seriously, Gordon type wrong if he’s done what they accuse him of…but they forgot one mini detail.

But, this is the thing. People forgot where Gordon started. That man got it poppin when he was known as WILLIE DYNAMITE! A Pimp!

Lil Wayne On New Album: “It Sucks”; Expected To Push Big Numbers

(AllHipHop Rumors) Lil Wayne either hates or loves his new album.

The rapper conducted an exclusive, heavily circulated interview with Power 106’s DJ Felli Fel and proclaimed his adulation and disdain for his new album, I Am Not a Human Being II.

Of the album, Wayne joked, “Uh, it sucks. [laughs] I hate it. But it’s a new album, it’s for the people. It’s I Am Not a Human Being II. Nah, I’m joking, man. [laughs] I’m proud of everything I do, man. Everything I do and everybody I do. But, um, it’s an awesome album, man. I took my time on it, and, you know me, just the thoughts on the left side of my brain, I just put ’em together and made an album of it. And then, you know, later comes the rest.”

The album is expected to sell very well, according to music industry site Hits Daily Double with expectations ranging between 190,000 and 210,000 for the first week.

The news is not surprising, considering the rapper has been in the news consistently since a near death experience in a Los Angeles.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Chris Brown Turns The Heat Up In Drake Beef

Chris Brown funny picture gif
HA! HA! HA!
Chris Brown is smart. He knows you have to know where to fold em and know where to hold em. So, I kind of laughed when I saw Breezy had ended the beef with Frank Ocean.

I think he had to do that. The powers that be were too strong around that situation. But, that’s not the case with Drake. And, so its on! YO! Riddle me this, why are the soft dudes going so hard? I’m not even mad at them. Seems like the rappers who are supposed to about that life aren’t and those that aren’t are. In the new remix to Young Jeezy’s “RIP,” Breezy sublimes Drake to death.

“Now dearly departed, I bought I plane I departed/ and if you started from the bottom go head and come out the closet.”

“My ni**as kill at will, give you black eyed peas/ and the molly make the white girl look Chinese.”

“You problematic I brought them ratchets and automatics/ clip hold 32, I make you feel the magic”

Of course this was a response from Drake’s “5 AM In Toronto” freestyle.

Thanks to The Boombox for actually listening to the song, all respect to Jeezy. I sure didn’t. Here it is though:

Timbaland Accused Of Defrauding Insurance Company

(AllHipHop News) Timbaland is accused of ripping off an insurance company for $1.8 million, a new report says.

The rapper has been legally sparring with American Home Assurance Company over a Jacob & Co, which is adorned with 30 carats of diamonds.

The insurance company is refusing to pay the rapper/producing, claiming he’s lying to get paid, according to recent legal documents.

News and gossip site TMZ laid out the lawsuit, seen below.

But in new legal docs … A.H.A.C. claims it doesn’t owe Timbaland a dime — claiming he’s been as slippery as a seal, lying like a rug. The insurance company claims:

— Timbaland bought the watch for $900,000 but insured it for TWICE the purchase price.
— Timbaland reported the watch stolen … but 4 months later claimed his daughter misplaced it.
— Everyone involved told a different story … the wife implicated another female, the assistant implicated the maid, the maid only copped to sleeping with Timbaland’s brother-in-law and the brother-in-law refused to cooperate. No one ever mentioned the daughter losing the watch, like Timbaland belatedly claimed.

“Freeway” Rick Ross Vows To Continue To Battle Rapper Rick Ross Over Name; Plans Appeal Of Recent Ruling

(AllHipHop News) “Freeway” Ricky Ross has vowed to continue to battle for his own name, after his most recent defeat in court.

Last Wednesday (March 21), a judge rejected “Freeway” Ricky’s claims that Warner Bros. stole his name and likeness, to boost the career of rapper Rick Ross born William Leonard Roberts II.

The latest ruling upheld previous Judges’ rulings that “Freeway” Ricky, who was released from prison in 2009, waited too long to file his lawsuit.

Under California law, publicity rights claims have to be made within the first two years of the publication of the objectionable material.

“We feel good about our case. This is classic republication as to all defendants there was consistently new music, management decisions and product made,” Freeway Ricky Ross told The Hollywood Reporter. “The statute of limitations was never meant to be used to hide defendant actively infringing with new decisions and campaigns.”

Similar rulings were issued against the former drug kingpin in November of 2010 and in August of 2012.
