If you’ve ever been to LA and stepped inside the clubs, you would know that West Coast rapper Clyde Carson has been doing his thing on the Cali Hip-Hop circuit for a minute. Having pushed his Something to Speak About (S.T.S.A.) mixtape for the past few years and as a former member of Game’s Black Wall Street clique, Clyde is well known from his home town in the Bay, down to LA and back again. But as the Rap game would have it, Clyde is just now finding his solo success and he’s finally getting booked across the West Coast with club and street friendly tracks like last summer’s#### song “Slow Down” produced by Shonuff, who did his whole album.
Aside from the signature charting hit with “Slow Down,” Clyde says he has a few other tracks waiting in the chamber that are bubbling on the California rap scene and online as well. With artists like Tyga, YG, Problem and others getting nationwide recognition from hits produced by DJ Mustard and the League of Stars, labels are all heading West to pick up the next big artist with that “new” West Coast sound.

Take a look at our sit down with Clyde Carson below and get accustomed to a “new” Cali sound that has the left-coast vibing on a whole new wavelength.

(AllHipHop News) Ghostface Killah of Staten Island’s Wu-Tang Clan is kicking off the “The Twelve Reasons to Die National Tour” in support his new album, aptly dubbed Twelve Reasons to Die.
Throughout the tour, Ghostface will be backed by a band called Venice Dawn and led by composer Adrian Younge, who concieved the concept album and worked on the acclaimed film Black Dynamite.
The story of good and evil follows Tony Starks (one of Ghostface’s alter egos), as a soldier for the 12 Delucas, a 1960’s-era Italian crime family, ultimately turning into a vintage horror film with gangster elements.
Interestingly, Wu-Tang Clan founder and producer RZA was the one who chose Younge for the project, giving suggestions and direction throughout the project’s development.
“I wanted this album to be the album that went back and started things all over,” Younge says. “I wanted to be the first person to really bring this to hip-hop. I want to bring that organic element back to hip-hop. I’m fortunate enough that I was chosen to be that person to do it.”
Tracks on the project feature live strings, horns and drums that were recorded on 2-inch tape giving each song a depth that is often unheard in today’s music.
From Adrian Younge’s acclaimed album Something About April to composing the music for the acclaimed film Black Dynamite, to recording an album for the legendary soul group The Delfonics, Younge is looking to change the way people view Hip-Hop and infusing the genre with real compositions.
“I want to be known as a composer, not a beat-maker,” he says. “I want to be known as a composer for modern soul music.”
“I want this album to change what people think about hip-hop,” Younge says.
Twelve Reasons to Die will be available in various forms including a deluxe double CD with instrumentals and a mini comic book, plus a digital deluxe version with instrumentals and digital comic book, multiple vinyl formats and a cassette.
The album, including limited edition deluxe bundles, is available for pre-order at soultemplemusic.bandcamp.com.
Twelve Reasons to Die will be released on Soul Temple Records and is set to be distributed by RED Music on April 16th.

“Beats was always about helping people re-discover the magic in the experience of listening to music,” Jimmy Iovine said. “Now that we are well along the way to addressing the quality of audio playback with Beats headphones and speakers, Daisy allows us to re-introduce the same magic into the process of music discovery and consumption.”
In addition to being well capitalized, “Daisy” will benefit from the investment group’s years of experience in music and subscription-based services.
This investment group brings significant expertise in music and subscription business, complimenting and extending the advantages already bestowed upon “Daisy” from its close relationship with and initial investment from Beats.
“Beats has the vision, the brand, the management team and now the investor group to effectively change the expectations and experiences of a music subscription service,” said Access Industries’ Len Blavatnik. “I’m looking forward to taking on this exciting challenge together.”
Former Topspin head Ian Rogers will be Chief Executive Officer of “Daisy” and Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor will serve as the music service’s Chief Creative Officer.
Well, DMX is one of the meanest dogs around. Now, a few weeks ago, I heard that DMX was going to be on Oprah. I don’t think I posted it, but I was kinda wrong, but kinda right. He’s actually on OWN, but the interview was by national treasure Iyanla Vanzant. The interview looks extremely explosive! They get into a shouting match in the video below. Now, the thing is….we know DMX will spazz…but Iyanla Vanzant SPAZZES BACK! Now, that’s what I want to see! Watch the clip and tell me what you think.
THE OTHER DAY, KERI HILSON WENT OFF
All the Beyonce rumors finally got to my ex-girlfriend Keri Hilson. For those that don’t know, for a while, when me and Kelly Rowland were on hiatus, Keri stepped in. Anyway, there have been persistent rumors that Keri’s sneak disses of Beyonce have caused her to be blackballed and shut down in the music game. I’m thinking they are true. Keri has always been a talented singer/song writer. Now, she is basically a twitter star. Peep her online rant.

They keep us talking, but if we stop talking about them then they should worry! -illseed.

(AllHipHop News) Two people will always give you the best soundbites. Snarky Kanye West with god complex levels of arrogance and disrespected Kanye West. The G.O.O.D. Music general combined the two when he called in to The Angie Martinez Show where DJ Enuff was filling in.
Mr. West barrages the New York City airwaves with his diatribe on the politics behind the horrid wildly inaccurate disgraceful always controversial MTV Hottest MC’s list and reminds Sway of a generous gift Kanye bestowed upon him.
“I had the Pink polo and the backpack then I’m checking all the boxes of the A Tribe Called Quest era and J. Dilla and all that so they want to champion that. They dont like Givenchy Kanye. They don’t like Kanye in a kilt. They don’t like Kanye in a relationship.”
