Earlier this week, T.I. made some comments about still being the “King of The South” and not being ready to hand over the crown to anyone yet – and that’s putting it nicely.
Related: Hip-Hop Rumors: T.I. Says He’ll Decide Who The Next “King Of The South” Will Be
Well, T.I. is enforcing his reign around Atlanta and was caught on camera spazzing out on a fan who was trying to take a photo of him. T.I. gave the male groupie a stern talking to as if he was chastising one of his kids. Hmm, I’m not sure if this is the right approach. Don’t you have people to do that for you, Tip? Check out the video below to see T.I. embarrass the h*ll out of the fan:
Damn, T.I., was it really that serious?

The third season of “Love & Hip Hop: NY” has begun filming, and two new castmates are already stealing the show. New Jersey rapper Joe Budden and his ex-girlfriend, video model Tahiry, are being called the new Stevie J and Joseline because of their volatile relationship. The two had a messy breakup a few years back and have remained enemies ever since, cursing each other out on Twitter and in interviews every chance they get. Well, now the two get a chance to berate each other on national television. And I, for one, can not wait!
Joe Budden had a show at B.B. Kings in NYC earlier this week, and an exclusive source tells us that Joe and Tahiry came face to face backstage. We hear that the two got into a screaming match of epic proportions, which ended in Tahiry storming out of the room. On her way out, Tahiry bumped into two of her “friends,” who she began screaming at and calling them “traitors.” I guess Tahiry was annoyed that the girls were there to watch Joe Budden’s show, when they were supposed to be her friends. Sorry to tell you, Tahiry, but it looks like Joe won those friends in the breakup.
The new season of “Love & Hip-Hop: NY” will air on VH1 on Monday, January 7 at 8PM. In addition to Joe Budden and Tahiry, this season’s cast includes Consequence, Mena, Olivia, and her manager, Rich Dollaz, Jim Jones’ former manager Yandy Smith, her boyfriend Mendeecees Harris, Raqi Thunda, Jen “The Pen” Bayer, Winter Ramos, and Rashidah Ali.
Will you be watching?

Last month, Gucci Mane issued a challenge to all rappers and said he would do a fight for charity. Gucci Gut? Yep. Gucci wanted to get in the ring and box with somebody. Basically, NAH. Most people assumed that Gucci was high as an alien kite and really didn’t mean it. At the time he tweeted: “I’m challenging any rapper friend or foe in the ring to a boxing match. Put yo money up. Who got hands not raps. Who wants the challenge. All Deez P*ssy a** rappers. The proceeds from the ring will go to charities. You scary a** Rappers. For them millions I’ll fight King Kong.” RIGHT. The Game responded and some others. Nothing happened. So, out of the blue, yesterday…
Anyway, here is the deal.
Nobody wants to fight. Nobody is going to fight. AllHipHop’s Chuck Creekmur is a fight enthusiast and has been trying for years to get rappers and rapper affiliates in the ring and nothing has happened. LOL! Seriously, earlier this year, the dude that tried to get Chris Brown and Drake in the ring also tried to get The Game and 40 Glocc in the ring. Nothing. Then, 40 ended up suing and The Game challenges a dude he knows is mad soft in the middle region. LOL! Pause!!!!!!!!! Seriously, Gucci looks three months pregnant, b.
But that wasn’t always the case. Remember this dude?

Willie D of the Geto Boys knocked out Grand Master Melle Mel in a Hip-Hop Boxing Match.
Also, this dude:

Freddie Foxxx also knocked out a bunch of now unknown rappers at the same celebrity Hip-Hop boxing match. Rappers don’t do that anymore. They were made of STEEL….mostly. Now, cotton candy. This is what changed everything…thanks Sticky Fingaz! When Sticky Fingaz of Onyx lost on MTV…it was a WRAP! Maybe they can get it back!
Anyway, Murs is the real deal though. I promise you! His challenge is coming from the heart and the knuckles. I know for a FACT he’s been in training and is already consulting people in the event that Gucci thinks he wants to fight this living legend. YUP…Murs. He’s serious! More later. But get at me if your ant to fight…lol…I’ll get beat up for charity. You know, as long as I get a cut. PPV. Me and Mike Tyson.
Speaking of, check out this cheesy song by Will Smith aka The Fresh Prince “I Think I Cam Beat Mike Tyson.”

(AllHipHop News) Two of America’s urban street legends who inspired dozens of rappers are teaming together to release a brand-new mixtape series.
Azie Faison And Freeway Ricky Ross are working on a new mixtape titled “Seeds in the Game: The Next Generation,” which will feature rappers from the streets of the East and West Coasts.
Azie Faison is a reformed street hustler from Harlem who earned almost $100,000 per week during the crack era of the 1980’s. His life inspired the movie “Paid In Full.”
“I wrote ‘Paid In Full’ not to lure other any other youth into the game of death (drug culture), but instead to show them that all that glitters is not gold and
that everyone must seek God first,” Azie Faison told AllHipHop.com.
Rappers like AZ, Nas, Meek Mill, DJ Kay Slay, Curren$y, and Cam’ron have all paid homage to Faison in various songs.
Freeway Ricky Ross is a legendary former drug baron from Los Angeles who earned as much as $1 million per day from the crack trade. His life has inspired artists like Rick Ross and “Philadelphia” Freeway.
Azie Faison just launched his own record label Divine Evidence, which is being distributed by Chatto Music Group/Ingrooves Fontana.
Since the success of “Paid In Full,” Faison chronicled his run in the drug game with his two associates Richard Porter and Alberto “Alpo” Martinez in the DVD documentary “Game Over” and its companion book, which was released through Simon & Schuster.
Faison is working on a new film titled “Mobstyle.”
More details on the Azie Faison and Freeway Ricky Ross mixtape “Seeds in the Game: The Next Generation,” will be released next week.

“Junior Mafia clique, thick like Luke Dancers.” – Lil’ Cease
Let’s get right down to it. “Strippers are having the best year EVER.” Pull up a chair, if that’s still cool, and I’ll tell you why. Turn on any Clear Channel station these days, and there you have it. Rap song after 80bpm (beats per minute) rap song, taking us on another heart-warming journey to the strip club where excess is King and sex is prohibited in the Champagne Room. 2012 saw its fair share of exotic dancer worship. Anything not to compete with “Call Me Maybe”, I guess.
The rise of Strip-Hop is 25 years in the making. You can say we have Uncle Luke to thank for this. Luther “Uncle Luke” Campbell and his 2 Live Crew brethren were a major part of Rap’s rebellion in the late ’80s. Their Banned In The USA album was the first to bear the Parental Advisory sticker. And, in years to come, the advent of Luke Dancers revolutionized the music video and live performance game forever by replacing fair skinned, paper thin video stars, with the first generation of curvy, core gyrating video vixens.
Still, at that time in Hip-Hop, the lyrics were geared towards the ‘around the way girl’. Rappers wanted good girl they could adore and take care of. The Hip-Hop culture moved with that. By the mid-to-late ’90s, rappers wanted the ‘ride or die chick.’ The ride or die chick took care of him and was loyal at all costs. The Hip-Hop culture moved with that.
Now, it’s evident in a majority of the latest songs, rappers want the exotic dancer. The exotic dancer compliments his hustle, for what it is worth. And if she’s not getting naked, there’s a possibility she’s bringing money home to her rapper boyfriend. The Hip-Hop culture is molding to it as we speak. Not to mention the Pole Dancing courses popping up across America. And ,as early as 2016, Pole Dancing could become an Olympic event.
Strippers are having the best year ever because they’ve become the new ‘Single Lady’ in Rap. While many of the MCs in the upper echelon are bragging about their socialite girlfriends and superstar wives, everybody else is targeting exotic dancers, with bartenders slowly gaining headway. We’re witnessing an industry and hustle shift firsthand.
When rappers such as Drake flow about their latest relationship failure involving an exotic dancer, they’re giving ’15 minutes of fame’ away. And, through that promotion, those dancers build up clout through Twitter, Instagram and Tumblr followers, resulting in direct communication to their fans, and progressively cutting the urban Men’s Magazines out of the equation. People are spending more money at the strip-club to see the same women, but with more clothes on.
Back to the radio. We’re not only hearing the same five songs, 10 times a piece – now, every rapper is at the Strip Club sharing his money stuffing exploits. Between Rick Ross, 2 Chainz, and Drake, they’ve set the stage to summon Academy Award winner, Juicy J, back to the scene. “Bandz A Make Her Dance” is the National Championship Game of Strip-Hop. Have you been to Memphis? Memphis has regular nightclubs where people get naked. Imagine their actual nudie bars! So this 80bpm “I call her big booty, Hell Yeah F*ckin’ Right, grunt music” is right up Juicy J’s alley. The man won an Academy Award for the song, and I quote, “It’s Hard out Here for a Pimp”. So if strippers won in 2012, bet a garbage bag full of dollar bills that Juicy J won as well.
Juicy J – “Bands A Make Her Dance”
Here is my Absolute Reason:
I have nothing against exotic dancers (never thought I’d have to type that). I get it. Bills must be paid. Lifestyles must be lived up to. But, we just can’t have every rap song revolving around them. I know they’re not the ones making the beats or writing the lyrics. But we all know who runs the world.
As for the rappers writing songs about strippers and having to explain to their girlfriend – “it’s just entertainment” – listen up. Tell me, what is the next progression after exotic dancers? Rap Music went from the ‘around the way girl’ to the ‘ride or die chick’ to now “she works the pole, she on the pole, she love the pole, I’m at the pole.” What’s next? Brothels!? Are you taking us to brothels next year? Will you need to hire Olivia Pope in very near future? Could somebody do a damn song about Renee, again? Sheesh.

Pick an MC. Any MC. Ask him/her which MC made him/her want to rap. Then ask that rapper’s idol MC who inspired the idol to rap and so on.
If you follow the influential bread crumbs, you’ll always find yourself back to 1520 Sedgewick Avenue in the Bronx, New York, where DJ Kool Herc breathed the first rap onto the break-beat. That will be the case even if you start with an MC with an accent of the crocodile hunter, or a rapper who spits bars in Cantonese.
As the mecca and birthplace of Hip-Hop culture, New York City will forever be the most consistent powerhouse of Hip-Hop’s cultural influencers. Many critics and even fans say that the New York Hip-Hop has perhaps taken a back seat to its Southern cousin’s bass and synthesizers. To attribute flailing record sales, radio spins, and TV appearances as indicators that the New York Hip-Hop scene is irrelevant is as shallow as it is dead wrong.
Since when do we attribute the cultural value of an area to popularity? Drake is, without a doubt, more popular or “hotter” than New York MCs like Action Bronson or Joey Bada$$, but would that give grounds to call Toronto a richer hot spot for new Hip-Hop than New York? Not even close.
On any given year, New York has blessed Hip-Hop with at least a couple of the top anthems of the year. Even in 2006, a year when critics said that New York’s dominance had been replaced by D4L’s “snap-rap,” veterans like Nas and Busta Rhymes put out bangers such as “Touch It” and “Hip-Hop Is Dead” to show that The Big Apple would be represented on the Billboard charts. Even now, New York rapper French Montana’s “Pop That” is currently sitting at #2 on the Rap and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop songs charts at press time.
Nicki Minaj, a femcee whose influence has reached beyond the realm of Hip-Hop and into Pop culture, had one of the best selling albums of 2012 with Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, selling over 1 million records worldwide, according to Soundscan. And, she made it very clear on her platinum selling single, “Moment 4 Life” what borough she reps. (“Young Money raised me/grew up out in Baisley/ Southside Jamaica, Queens and it’s crazy…”).
It’s true. Many modern MCs like Smoke DZA and A$AP Rocky, have taken to the Southern style of production versus resorting to their region’s trademark boom-bap, but that is what makes Hip-Hop fresh and moves the culture forward. Imagine if Biggie rapped on Run DMC’s rock-styled beats instead of drawing inspiration from the modern funk-based beats of his day, like Ice Cube’s AmeriKKKa’s Most Wanted or NWA’s Niggaz4Life. Hip-Hop would have never known Ready To Die – or experienced the return New York Hip-Hop to the airwaves – if Big felt that his sound should remain in the regional dress code of modern New York.
If A$AP Rocky’s version of Screw Music is honest and quality music, does it matter that his overall sound originated from the Screw-up Click of Houston rather than the Diplomats of Harlem? Artists like Action Bronson and Joey Bada$$ have proven that the boom-bap will always have its place in the heart of New York Hip-Hop, but to only limit New York MCs to the boom-bap would cause New York Hip-Hop to become one dimensional. It’s too rich with creativity to be stuck in a ’90s Golden Era time capsule, and is now evolving before our eyes.
Radio and the press might not be giving New York as much spotlight as it deserves, but just give it time. The world will soon realize that not only did New York Hip-Hop never die, but New York is still the city that never even sleeps…on innovation or the fact that it birthed what the rest of you are doing to this very day.

As far as I can see, A$AP Rocky certainly does not have a care in the world! The Harlem rapper just released his new video for his hit single, “F*ckin’ Problem”, featuring Drake, Kendrick Lamar, and 2Chainz, and honestly, I’m writing this post because I just wanted a reason to post the video!
Although the track has been out for a while, the video definitely refreshes the song a little bit for me and reminds me of why I liked it so much in the first place. Check out A$AP’s video for “F#####’ Problem” below:
Yesterday, A$AP also took the time to post the cover for his upcoming album, Long.Live.A$AP on his Twitter account. Check out the artwork below:

Long.Live.A$AP is set for release on January 15 of next year.

Do you know who Cool C is? If not, let me run it down really fast. The short, fast story is that Cool C is a dope MC from Philly that sounded a lot like MC Shan of the Juice Crew. The irony of that is Cool C game in the game with a furor dissing Cool G and the Juice Crew, who was really running the game at that time. They had Shan, Big Daddy Kane, Kool G Rap, Shante, Biz Markie, Master Ace, Craig G and a bunch of others! They were rocking out! Anyway, Cool C went on and overcame and scored a huge record with “The Glamourous Life.”
Peep:
Quick Quiz! Who is the girl in this video? She blew up later on in life!
So, The Hilltop Hustlers was the crew and they were good. So, at the same time, Cool C was blowing up, Steady B was doing his thing too. But, when the 90’s kicked in, it wasn’t happening. They tried to revamp with a new crew and name but nope. Somebody came up with the idea to rob a bank. They tried and the end result was the first death of a Black female cop in the line of duty. You may already know that, but here is the rumor.
Both men are in jail for life. Cool for the murder and Steady for driving the getaway car.
Cool C, however, continues to appeal, claiming innocence. I am being told that he’s got a pit bull of a lawyer that is trying to get him OUT. When I say Pitbull, I mean I am hearing he’s like a mob lawyer – CO-NECTED! From what I have been told, the lawyer strikes fear in the hearts of anybody that tires to get Cool C to speak on it or to do interviews. Now, here is the other thing. They believe they can get out of jail. I repeat: They believe that Cool C…CAN GET OUT OF JAIL, I heard. Can he? I’m not so sure. He’s been denied appeal multiple times already. From what I understand, they may be looking to put Steady B under the bus somehow? I don’t really know and I don’t recall the details of the situation off the top. I’m going off what I heard. Hit me at my email and let me know what you may know.

I hope you’re not tired of Chief Keef just yet, because you are going to be seeing a lot more of him in the near future if Jimmy Iovine and Interscope have anything to do with it. According to an exclusive source, Jimmy Iovine believes that Chief Keef is the next 50 Cent and has gone into overdrive trying to spin the young rapper’s career into a goldmine.
Iovine has allegedly already secured a movie deal for Chief Keef through his Interscope motion picture division to bring his life story to the big screen.
“Jimmy thinks that Keef’s life story is movie gold and he thinks it will be even more successful than 50’s “Get Rich Or Die Trying.”
According to my source, they are prepping Chief Keef for acting classes and have secured several script writers to begin working on the screenplay.
Hopefully, Chief Keef can stay out of trouble…and out of jail until then. I’m not sure if people are invested enough in Chief Keef to want to pay $12.50 to see his life story. What do you think?

Editor’s Note: “Feel Rich” is our partnership with QD3, the talented son of music legend Quincy Jones. “Feel Rich” is all about creating a healthy lifestyle for Hip-Hop culture – both the artists and the fans. Watch the video below and enjoy getting ripped!
3). Once you have gained the momentum that you will need, thrust yourself above the bar while turning your wrists and hands at the same time.
Yesterday, Jay-Z celebrated his 43rd birthday, and rumor has it that Beyonce bought her husband the most expensive Hublot watch known to man – the “Big Bang”. The diamond-encrusted watch costs a reported $5 Million and has 1,282 diamonds in total!! Check out a few photos of the watch below:
Oh, and the watch has a video showcasing why it’s worth $5 million.
According to a Media Take Out snitch, Jay-Z was “very excited” when Bey gave him the watch as he is an avid watch collector. I’m sure anyone would be excited to receive a $5 million watch, but when it comes to Jay and Bey you just never know. You see these two have a history of giving each other super expensive, over the top gifts. I guess you can do that when you are the richest couple in entertainment. I came across a list on Hollyscoop.com that lists a timeline of Jay-Z and Beyonce’s gifts to each other. The list is crazy! Check it out below in its entirety:
January 2012: Most people buy a house for $500,000. Beyoncé used that pocket money to score some jewelry for her beau.
The singer bought Jay-Z a $500K sapphire ring as a special thanks for all his love and support and in honor of their daughter, Blue Ivy.
Of course, he was happy to show it off, stepping out at the grand opening of The 40/40 Club in New York, rocking the rock on his pinky… That’s right. Jay-Z wears your house on his pinky!

January 2012: You know your destiny is baller status when one of your “welcome home” presents is a solid gold rocking horse.
Also happening in January of this year in honor of Blue Ivy’s was the arrival of a $600K handmade Japanese gold rocking horse to the Roc Nation estate. The horse was designed by jeweler Ginza Tanaka. And, don’t worry, Blue… When you get sick of playing with it, you can just donate it to Goodwill.
The horse was in addition to a pile of other elaborate gifts, totaling up to a jaw-dropping $1.5 million. Now that’s how you spoil a child!

December 2010: When Jay-Z turned 41, he didn’t get backaches or hair in his ears (to our knowledge). Instead, he got a $2 million car.
Beyoncé surprised Jay-Z with a brand new white Bugatti Veyron Sport. Unfortunately, they have little use for the German two-seater convertible anymore, due to the fact that there’s no room for Blue Ivy’s car seat.

December 2010: It was a Merry Christmas indeed for Beyoncé. The singer found $350,000 worth of Hermes Birkin bags under the tree.
Reportedly, Jay-Z got his last minute shopping done on Christmas Eve, stopping in at a Madison Avenue boutique in NYC. Doing so, the rapper proved that if the present is big enough, it doesn’t matter if there was any thought behind it at all.
September 2010: “Hey, what do you want for your birthday?” “Oh, I don’t know… Maybe some socks?”
For Beyoncé’s 29th birthday, Jay-Z redefined what it meant to be a big gift giver. The rapper skipped Macy’s, passed by the jewelry store, turned down the Italian restaurant for reservations… Instead, he stopped on by the real estate office and purchased his lady a private Florida island for $20 million.

February 2009: Jay Z possibly went a little over-the-top for Valentine’s gift. Instead of flowers, he reportedly bought Beyoncé a platinum covered mobile phone. The cost… $24,000. I wonder if any minutes came with that?
