Hip-Hop Rumors: 50 Cent Officially Breaks Up With Floyd Mayweather Jr.!

The bromance between 50 Cent and Floyd Mayweather Jr. is officially over. 50 officially ended things last night with his own version of a ‘Dear John’ letter that he tweeted out to his millions of followers last night. The tweets reveal that 50 has cut all business ties with Floyd, specifically their popular “The Money Team” promotions company, because as he put it “the other half of the money team did not put up their money.”

In typical 50 Cent style, the rapper then went on to try to tarnish the brand he built with his former best friend by claiming to be selling his official TMT jacket “for a dollar” and selling the TMT sweatsuits for $7.99.  50 is one bad man! Check out his tweets below:

So far there has been no response from Floyd Mayweather Jr. on the 50’s announcement.

Sidenote – Did you all hear about Floyd’s fiancee, Ms. Jackson, doing a commercial with one of Floyd’s boxing rival Victor Ortiz?  The commercial is a spoof on the art of the unbuttoned shirt, its a big thing in the Latin community. Anyway, in the commercial Ms. Jackson is seductively looking at Victor Ortiz and is sitting mighty close to him. Check out the commercial below:

Okay, I know it’s only acting, but did she cross the line by being in this commercial with Victor Ortiz? Floyd come get your girl!!! Hmm, this has me thinking about those rumors about Ms. Jackson being at the center of the Floyd and 50 Cent beef. Perhaps there is some truth to this after all.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Gucci Mane Disses Nicki Minaj, French Montana And Yo Gotti!

I’m not calling Gucci ‘Gucci Mane’ anymore, I’m going to start calling him the Mad Gucci a.k.a. The Mad Rapper. In the words of the Clipse, “What happened to that boy?!” Ever since he was released from jail for throwing a woman out of a moving vehicle, Mad Gucci has been on a rampage and has gone after everyone from T.I. to Nas.

Related: Hip-Hop Rumors: Who is Gucci Mane Going After Now?!

In his latest attack of diarrhea of the mouth, Gucci has decided to speak out against Nicki Minaj and French Montana. In a recent interview with HOT 107.9, Gucci calls both Frenchie and Nicki “fake,” and says that they just want to be famous. Gucci feels like he deserves more credit from Nicki Minaj. Say what?! Check out what he said below:

“When she came to Atlanta she gave me a shout out, said I helped her in her career, but at the end of the day I just think a lot of times you keep it real with somebody, you can’t expect them to keep it real with you.”
“I told you man this industry, people want to be famous, people forget how to keep it real and forget the people that helped them get to where they at.”

“I tip my hat to Nicki for being hard worker, but at the same time, she know she didn’t keep it real.”

Gucci did not go into details regarding what exactly happened between him and French Montana, but he did offer his thoughts on French and said that he doesn’t “keep it real.”

So I guess Gucci is the only person that does keep it real…right!

During the interview, Gucci also explains his issues with Yo Gotti. Gucci revealed that he was upset with Yo Gotti because he dropped his mixtape on the same day as him, and he thought they were supposed to be boys. Sounds to me like Gucci still has a lot of growing up to do. Now let’s be clear, this is just my opinion, and not the opinion of AllHipHop!!!

Check out Gucci Mane’s full interview below:

So, who do you think gets the award for the biggest hater of the year? Gucci Mane or Shyne? I want to do a story on this, so let me know your nominations below. Thank you kindly! (Oh, and yes I do read your comments – good or bad, I ain’t mad at cha’)

The MCs With The Iron Chops: 5 Brilliant Movie Heroes Played by Rappers

This Friday, we will be first in line at the theater to see The Man with the Iron Fists, the new movie written and directed by The RZA. In the film, RZA portrays “The Blacksmith,” who channels an ancient energy to turn himself into a living weapon.

There has been, of late, a lack of strong, heroic characters portrayed by multi-talented artists, but we hope The Man with the Iron Fists, is the beginning of the return of great starring rappers who are also great actors on the silver screen.

But while we wait, here’s our list of “Five Brilliant Movie Heroes Played by Rappers”:

Ice Cube as “Darius Stone” – xXx: State of the Union

In the 2005 follow-up to the successful xXx which starred Vin Diesel, Ice Cube kicked major butt as the new XXX agent fighting NSA traitors and restoring his own reputation. However, xXx: State of the Union performed so poorly, that it is said to have been the death of the franchise.

Common as “Barnes” – Terminator Salvation

In the $200 million, 2009 summer blockbuster, Common portrayed “Barnes”, a lieutenant in John Connor’s resistance army. While not in a whole lot of scenes, and sometimes appearing stiff and dry, appearing in this edition of the Terminator franchise was a big look for Com Sense…and he got to carry big, futuristic guns.

Andre 3000 as “Jeremiah Mercer” – Four Brothers

Not a conventional action hero, 3 Stacks still shined in this 2005 John Singleton vehicle that featured two other “rappers,” Mark Wahlberg and Tyrese Gibson. As Jeremiah Mercer, 3000 was one of the more sensitive characters in the gritty street drama, but he turned out to be a hero in the end.

DMX as “King David” – Never Die Alone

The dog had a pretty good run as an actor starting with 1998’s Belly. X went on to star in numerous films, including Exit Wounds, Cradle 2 the Grave, and Romeo Must Die. One of his lesser grossing films was Never Die Alone, and while it didn’t do well at the box office, it is widely-considered a cult classic and one of X’s best performances.

Queen Latifah as “Cleo” – Set It Off

An ambitious role for Latifah, her portrayal of Cleo in the 1996 F. Gary Gray classic cemented her status as a movie star. The Queen stole every scene she was in, and dies what could only be described as a true gangsta’s death, gunned down in a hail of bullets by police. Set It Off remains one of Hip-Hop’s most endearing movies.

RZA’s The Man with the Iron Fists opens in theaters around the country this Friday. The soundtrack is in stores now. Check out the trailer below:

EXCLUSIVE: Skeme on the Prevalence of Bloods and Crips in L.A. and the Industry

(AllHipHop News Feature) Recently AllHipHop.com sat down with newly crowned Breeding Ground Artist, Skeme, fresh off the heals of his recently released project, Alive and Living.

In the extensive interview with AllHipHop.com, Skeme spoke candidly about growing up in the gang infested streets of Inglewood, where he developed an affiliation with the Piru Blood gang, notorious for wearing their bright red colors.

While the perception is that gang violence has subsided in most parts of Los Angeles, Skeme explained that those views are based on a lack of information, as most people visit Hollywood and are actually never in the the roughest parts of the city like Compton or Inglewood.

Skeme also dished on his perspective of gang representation in the music industry as in recent years several artists have openly represented their gang affiliation.

“I’m from Inglewood, California, period. Most cats at my shows are Inglewood n*ggas or West L.A. n*ggas.  I kind of am one of the lucky n*ggas that gets love from both sides of the fence, like for real for real, like genuine love, so it’s a beautiful thing,” said Skeme.

“But, at the same time, you kind of have to have an eye for what the beauty in the situation. Some people don’t even get it and try to bash it and just tell n*ggas that we ignorant, and that n*ggas is *ssholes for what they dying for and shooting for. But at the end of the day, it’s really a respect thing for your n*ggas. Like that’s who you end up ridin’ with in the first place, and that’s how I look at, that’s how I always will look at it. I’ma ride for the homies.”
