R&B singer Lloyd has been coming back strong since his 2011 crossover effort King of Hearts didn’t fare too well in album sales. These days, Lloyd is back to doing what he does right – sex-filled lyrics, jumping bass and catchy melodies. And he does that well on his latest, “Sexcapade”, a track which samples Aaliyah’s 4 Page Letter.

Here is Lloyd’s “Sexcapade”:

Sexcapades appears on The Playboy Diaries narrated y DJ Scream & TK Kirkland, which releases 10/29 at Livemixtapes.com.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Who is Gucci Mane Going After Now?!

Gucci Mane must have taken a page out of the Book of Beef by 50 Cent. The Atlanta rapper has already reignited his beef with Young Jeezy and has set his sights on a new Atlanta rapper to throw shade at.

Related:Hip-Hop Rumors: Gucci Mane And Jeezy: BACK TO BEEFING!

On his track, “F*ck The World”, off of his newly released Trap God mixtape, Gucci goes after Yung Joc in the second verse of the song. Gucci claims that Yung Joc, who was previously signed to Bad Boy South and had the hit song “It’s Going Down”, is broke as a joke. In the lyric Gucci also goes after Kenneth “Block” Russell, Jeezy’s ex-manager.

Check out the lyric below:

“I got all eyes on me like Pac did/But I ain’t tryin’ to go broke like Joc did/I ain’t tryin’ to f**k my deal up like Block did.”

Block previously had a deal with Bad Boy South that went belly up after the artists he signed didn’t produce up to Diddy’s standards. Check out the music video below, which features Future.

Are you feeling Gucci’s new song? And since Future is on the song, does that mean that he is guilty by association and dissed Jeezy, Yung Joc, and Block, too?

Album Review: Kendrick Lamar’s “Good Kid, m.A.A.d. City:

Every great ‘hood movie has the character who takes the gangster stigma to the extreme. Loud, cocky, fearless and, of course, crazier than Tony Montana snorting on a mountain of narcotics is what makes characters like Menace to Society’s “O-Dog” or Juice’s “Bishop” shocking, amusing, and quotable. But there is a reason why Kane and Q were the main character’s in those motion pictures: their internal struggles in maintaining the acceptance of their peers at the expense of their own family instilled morals was more relatable and even more compelling.

For the BET Hip-Hop Award’s lyricist of the year and West Coast torch bearer, Kendrick Lamar, the well-to-do, Black male youth is taken on a journey through the extreme vices of the ghetto lifestyle with his personal morality and identity in trouble at every turn on his Top Dawg/Aftermath/Interscope debut, Good Kid, m.A.A.d City,.

After stealing his family’s van, Kendrick takes a joy ride through muffled echoes and flat percussion to meet up with a summer fling on the intro track “Sherane a.k.a Master Splinter’s Daughter”. Upon meeting his crush, he also encounters some mentors who introduce him to the L.A. street life. Sounwave’s sultry guitar licks and soothing strings make a perfect background as Kendrick shuts off from his moral reasoning in order to embrace his new-found immorality on “B*tch, Don’t Kill my Vibe” (“I can feel the changes/ I can feel the new life/ I always knew life could be dangerous”).

“The Art of Peer Pressure” explores K. Dot’s first acts of deviance, with a story of doing drugs, fighting, and robbing with the homies. The track captures just how going with the flow can end up with a night of crimes. Up-and-coming West Coast producer DJ Dahi adds his signature background samples and elastic bass on “Money Trees”, where fellow Black Hippy member, Jay Rock, ventures from his own flow in order to out-K-Dot Lamar out of his own rhyme scheme, resulting in one of the most memorable verses on the album (“Imagine rock up in those projects, swear them n*ggas pick your pockets, Santa Claus done miss them stockings/ liquor spilling, pistols poppin’, baking soda yola whipping, ain’t no turkey on Thanksgiving”).

Towards the end of the album, Kendrick starts to question the impact of his immoral decisions on his character and decides it’s time to get baptized on “Sing about me, I’m dying of thirst”: (“My mama said see a pastor, he’ll give me a promise/ what if today was the rapture and you completely tarnished?/ The truth will set you free/ so to me you should be completely honest/you dying of thirst, you dying of thirst/so hop in that water and pray that it works”). An old-Kanye beat pattern and harmonizing spiritual vocal sounds makes it seem as though Kendrick might have cracked The Da Vinci Code to “Jesus Walks”.

It is rare accomplishment to have such an array of different producers on one project to sound this cohesive. But songs like the playful but mediocre “Backseat Freestyle” and the hard-hitting, Dr. Dre-featured “Compton” seem to stick out like a sore thumb. The Drake featured “Poetic Justice” also seems a tad cliché and misplaced, yet these are minor missteps.

What makes Good Kid, m.A.A.d City resonate so well is how Kendrick relates his own personal guilt of partaking in the street lifestyle without being condescending to the gangbangers who still are living the ‘hood life. Ironically, he even compares himself to Cuba Gooding Jr.’s protagonist “Trey” in Boyz in The Hood – a morally-sound youngster who tried out gangster lifestyle only to find out he would be better off admiring it from afar.

EXCLUSIVE: Kendrick Lamar Brings Out All-Star Cast for #BETMUSICMATTERS Homecoming Shows

With a major release looming on the horizon, Kendrick Lamar brought his good k.i.d., m.A.A.d city act back home for two sold out shows as part of the BET Music Matters Tour. With lines wrapped around the block and fans eager to buy the project, Kendrick pulled out all the stops, bringing out a host of artists to celebrate the pending release.

To kick things off, Ohio trio Fly Union got the amped crowd accustomed to their music, clearly gaining bands of new fans. BCG/MMG fans were then treated to a enthusiastic set by Stalley, who brought out Nipsey Hussle and Lil Eazy-E. Stalley ran through a quick set of songs from his Savage Journey to the American Dream project, also performing a few of his well known works from his Jet Life collaborations.

TDE controlled the show from there, as Jay Rock and Ab-Soul ran though a host of their hits over the past few years. Jay-Rock didn’t do a backflip on stage, although he did get the crowd crazy hype. It was clear that TDE was home as soon as Jay-Rock performed,

“It feels good too be back home Club Nokia; y’all was turnt the f*ck up appreciate the love!!! #TDE #BETMusicMattersTour,” Jay Rock Tweeted after the show.

“Home court advantage 2nite…this should b fun,” Ab-Soul told his fans via Twitter.

Then, finally, after much anticipation, Kendrick came out and shut it down. As difficult as his lyrics are to decipher, it seemed like every fan in the building knew his lyrics. With a set that featured a front porch, a picture of the mini-van from his album artwork, and “Jesus is Lord” written in the background, it was clear that Kendrick was excited to show his fans love for all the love they give him back.

Running through songs like “F*ck Your Ethnicity”, “ADHD”, “Hol Up”, “Rigamortus”, and other jams from Section.80, Kendrick proved why people keep calling him the “West Coast Nas”; although, as his fans know, Kendrick has his own lane along with his TDE fam. Highlights from Kendrick’s set included him trading verses with Game on “The City”. If you’ve never heard him kick the end of that song with the acapella, you haven’t lived. Adding Game to the mix just made it truly epic.

To close out the show, the hometown favorite brought out Dr. Dre and then Big Sean, who performed their respective songs with Kendrick. Check out Dr. Dre performing “The Recipe” with him below.

It’s clear Kendrick has been up next for a long time – not just on the West, but in Hip-Hop, and Dre made that known as he graced the stage of the Nokia Theater.

“Yea sh*t is real, I’m up here with my ni**a Kendrick Lamar. Yeah, you know we always come with the hot sh*t. I wanna let y’all know something, I’m so proud of this dude right here. Even before y’all knew he was signed, he was like, ‘Yo lets keep that sh*t on the low, I don’t want nobody to know.” And he kept doing his thing. He’s a true f*ckin’ lyricist and true mothaf*ckin MC. That’s what we need in f*ckin’ Hip-Hop, that sh*t I love. Make some noise for Hip-Hop y’all! Let’s keep this sh*t going!”

Hip-Hop Rumors: What Made Flavor Flav Flip Out And Grab Two Knives?

Our lovable Hip-Hop mascot Flavor Flav is not so lovable anymore, according to the Las Vegas police report stemming from his arrest for domestic violence and assault with a deadly weapon yesterday.

Related: Flavor Flav Allegedly Assaults Teenager and Fiancee at Las Vegas Home

The police report says that Flav and his 39-year-old fiance began arguing over his alleged infidelity. The argument quickly escalated into a violent altercation, with Flav allegedly ripping her earring out of her ear and pushing her to the ground twice. The woman’s 17-year-old son was in the house and tried to intervene – that’s when Flav allegedly grabbed two knives from the kitchen and began to chase him around their home.

According to TMZ, the teenage boy fled to a room and locked the door to escape Flav’s rampage. This is where it gets a little fuzzy. The report says that Flav kicked in the door and waved the four-four….well, not exactly. Sorry, I couldn’t help myself. Flav allegedly kicked in the door and began waving the two knives and allegedly threatened to kill his stepson!

Flav is currently out on $23,000 bail and has to appear in court to address the charges next week. For the record, Flav denies ever chasing his stepson around the house with the knives and says that he never threatened to kill him. Is Flav back on that yayo? What could have sparked this alleged spazz out of epic proportions?
