We’re all looking for our greatest selves. People will tell you not to look for love, and love will find you. Love appears to be occupied with Twitter these days, because many of us are stuck with planning our escapes from hollowed relationships. When the point of no return is reached, some of us are firm enough to be upfront with our significant other. Some of us are waiting for Armageddon, or figuring we’ll have to cause Armageddon to end the flailing relationship. While a majority of us are strapping on parachutes to escape the inevitable crash and burn.
They say that breaking up is hard to do. Are we even trying to break up anymore? People are parachuting out; meaning you already have someone waiting in the wings to divert any inevitable loneliness in the near future. Having our parachute gives us a false sense of liberation. Suddenly, everything you wanted to say to your bored significant other can be spewed with relative ease. Anybody can walk away if they’re escorted. Because that’s what we’re doing when we’re parachuting. We’re walking away.
We can’t introduce ourselves to happier relationships if we fear properly ending our previous ones. If you’re taking a test and leave one of the questions blank, that question would be marked in red ink. The same rule applies when you walk away from a relationship instead of properly ending it. Ask yourself, “Do I parachute out of relationships? Am I a multiple parachuting offender? Do I continue to date the same kind of person because I never addressed the issues of the principal relationship?”
It’s very possible you’re having the worst luck in relationships because at 34 years old, you’re haunted by a principal relationship you had at age 17. It’s not up to you to find the person that broke your heart in High School. However, instead of piling more pain on top that moment, dig for that moment in your mind. Comb through that moment, stand face to face with those emotions and forgive yourself in the areas you should.
If you’d like to know how long you should wait before entering into a new relationship, it’s simple. First, be strong enough to finish what was started. Engage in a concise conversation with your significant other, regarding the reasons why your relationship no longer works for you. A break up is the period to a sentence. Parachuting is a comma. However long it takes for you to emotionally detox after a break up, is how long you should wait; whether 3 months or 3 years.
So in closing, if you’re completely vested in your relationship taking off, you should be even more vest to land the plane before exiting. No more parachuting.

French Montana’s#### song “Pop That” samples Uncle Luke and 2 Live Crew’s “I Wanna Rock” – and Uncle Luke is looking to get that check cut for his contribution to the record. MTV caught up with the rapper / part-time politician on the red carpet at the BET Hip-Hop Awards, where Uncle Luke made it clear that he was looking to catch up with Diddy backstage about the payment.
“When I heard the song, I said, ‘Oh this is a hit,’ and the next thing I said is, ‘Where’s my check?”
“Ain’t nobody told me about my check yet. I have not gotten the check yet, so I’m looking for the check. I’m gonna talk to Diddy in the back about it.”
Diddy is notorious for “robbin” artists. Uncle Luke better get that paperwork right! Check out the interview below:

For years and years, DJ Drama has hosted some of the most popular mixtapes in the game. Keeping fans laced up before the album drops, DJ Drama has been a part of movements for artist after artist. Now with his own album out called Quality Street Music, Drama “turnt up” with an album release party in one of L.A.’s hottest clubs, Supper Club.
Brought to the fans and attendees in part by the Supreme Team promotional group, attendees in the club experienced one of the most epic environments in the world for celebrity clubs. Trey Songz was also in the building for what was tapped as DJ Drama’s album release party and Christina Milian’s birthday party.
Take a look at a few pics of the party and make sure you check out Drama’s new tape… er… album, Quality Street Music!
When Kendrick Lamar’s tracklisting for good kid, mA.A.d city was released earlier this week, many people were confused about the omission of Lamar’s collabo with Lady Gaga, “Partynauseous”. Meanwhile, Kendrick blamed the absence of the track on not quite fitting in with the rest of his music:
“Me and Lady Gaga, we really good friends. She’s not on the album. We got some records, but when I was breaking down the bulk of the album, the ones we picked, we set them aside for future reference,” the West Coast lyricist told Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club. “I already had everything premeditated for this day, for October 22nd.”
Lady Gaga begs to differ, and released a statement blaming the absence on Kendrick’s meddling camp making changes and compromising her music. Check out Gaga’s statement below:
I apologize to the fans that this situation with Partynauseous is confusing. To it clear it up I must explain this. When I collaborate with an artist i work solely with them, not with their camps or management. Its purely organic and creative. I love Kendrick dearly as a friend, but was not willing to compromise musically to the changes his team was making to my music. This is why I am not his record. I have a very specific vision as a producer and songwriter, and I always have. That song will be released at a different time, for a different project. I love you, and think you should check out his stuff because he is truly great. He’s a good kid, its just sometimes a mad city. -LG
Whatever the reason, that’s too bad – that collabo was tight.

(AllHipHop News) Rick Ross continues his expansion into the restaurant business with the acquisition of a new Wingstop location, in his hometown of Miami.
The rap star told AllHipHop.com that he has officially taken over as owner of the Wingstop at 20565 Old Cutler Rd. in Miami.
“Miami is my hometown, and I want to share my favorite wings with one of my favorite cities,” Ross told AllHipHop.com in a statement today (October 5). “This is a hot spot, and the crew is in place and ready to continue serving wings.”
The Miami location is Rick Ross’ second investment into a Wingstop restaurant.
The rapper recently opened a Wingstop in Memphis, Tennessee as part of a mult-iunit, multi-state development agreement with the Wingstop chain.
The Miami Wingstop location is open from 11:00 – midnight daily and serves up cooked-to-order chicken, including strips, wings, glider sandwiches and a variety of side dishes.
On Tuesday (October 9) Rick Ross will host a meet and greet with fans from 2:00PM – 5:00PM.
As one of the founding members of the rap super group, Wu Tang Clan, its befitting that RZA’s directorial debut would come in the form of a Kung Fu movie. After all, Wu Tang is responsible for educating a whole generation about old school Kung-Fu movies including, “Five Deadly Venoms,” “Wu-Tang” and “Shaolin.”
The multi-talented producer, rapper, actor and now director took on a huge challenge when he sat down six years ago and began working on the script for his vision of the perfect Kung Fu movie – “The Man With The Iron Fist.” RZA is finally going to see his vision come to fruition, when the movie hits theaters nation wide on November 2nd – but all of his success did not come without much sacrifice and dedication.
“I spent 150 days in China [shooting the movie] so I became very very homesick and very lonely, said RZA” from the Corner Stone offices in NYC on October 2nd. “I basically had to lose myself in work. I had no girlfriend and no communication.”
“I spent 12-18 hours working and all that work went into this film,” said RZA.
Man With The Iron Fist stars RZA as a blacksmith in China who must fight to defend his village. Oscar winner Russell Crowe and Lucy Lu also star in the film, which one would imagine to be a daunting task for a first time director – but not for RZA; who explains how this is only the beginning for his career as a director.
“If it goes according to my plan, as it does sometimes – yeah I will definitely be directing more films. This to me is like “Enter the 36 Chambers” – the first. That means I still have Tical, I still got Cuban Linx, I still Got Supreme Clientel, I still got Return To The 36 Chambers, Liquid Swords, I still have that creativity in me, but in a film way.”
But will RZA put the mic down completely for a career in film?
“I think if we have success with this movie, I’m going to put myself behind the camera, that’s my career. And if not, I got some more lyrics for your ass.”
Check out the interview below with RZA, where he speaks on his dedication in making his directorial debut in “Man With The Iron Fists”. RZA also speaks on showing Kanye West the scene where his song “White Dress” would be featured in the film and RZA’s reaction to whether or not the song is really about Kim Kardashian:
Jay-Z is preparing for his seventh show tonight at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn NY, which up until this point, has only had one guest – Big Daddy Kane – on opening night. Every show since then has been strictly HOV rocking the stage solo dolo. That may change on Saturday night, according to an AllHipHop.com exclusive source.
We hear that Jay-Z has a huge show planned for his finale show on Saturday that will include lots of celebrity friends including his wife, Beyonce, Rihanna, Mr. Hudson, and Kanye West.
According to MTV News, Jigga’s website, Life+Times, wants to make sure you catch the show, even if you’re not at the Barclays Center, and has set up a live stream of the show on their YouTube Page. Check out the promo they released for the occasion:
Do you think Jay-Z saved the best for last? Or, will he go out like he came in and stick to the no guest policy?

(AllHipHop News) NFL running back Thomas Jones took a moment to speak with AllHipHop.com about his time on the field and why he recently decided to give the NFL a rest to pursue his dreams of running a hit record label.
“I just finished my 12th year in the NFL and I was blessed to have a great career,” Thomas Jones told AllHipHop.com. “I’m healthy, I’m walking, I’m not hurt anywhere besides a couple minor things here and there, [but] for the most part, I’ve got my mind right physically…This music is something I’ve had a passion for”
Jones and Outta Pocket signed a deal with Steve Rifkind’s SRC, which was being distributed by Universal. But Jones ended up leaving the deal, taking his artist and changing the label name.
Jones, who played for teams like The Arizona Cardinals, The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, The Chicago Bears, The New York Jets and The Kansas City Chief’s during his decade-plus career, is now looking to find success as the CEO of Independently Major Entertainment.

From the looks of a new documentary style video that Chris Brown released last night, he’s still in love with his ex-girlfriends Karreuche and Rihanna…at the same damn time! In the video, Chris Brown speaks candidly about being in love with two people at the same time, while recent footage of him with his two special ladies flash by.
“When you share history with somebody, then you tend to fall in love with somebody else, it’s kind of difficult, you know what I’m saying? Is there such thing as loving two people? I don’t know. I don’t know if that’s possible, but for me, I feel like that.”
“I’m just stressed out. It ain’t about the music, I love my fans, it’s just that when you share a history with somebody and you tend to fall in love with somebody else, it’s kinda difficult.”
Wow, Breezy!!! Hey, his life IS a movie, so why not?! Check out the video below:
“The Real Chris Brown” from David Alan on Vimeo.
So how did his two special ladies feel about his confessional? Rihanna seemed happy and tweeted “Ain’t nobody bidness… but mine and my baby.” Karreuche, on the other hand tweeted, “WTF is going on.”
Rihanna took it back to Michael Jackson on that one! Are you tired of hearing about Chris Brown and Rihanna? How long before Karrueche opens up her mouth and tells her side of the story? Will she be the next Amber Rose and get with another artist?

Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj, both from New York are on the cover of today’s NY Daily News under the headline, “I FEAR FOR MY KID – Mariah beefs up security…” Really, I mean really? What is Nicki Minaj going to do to your kids, Mariah? This is just silly.
Well, Cee Lo, who just happens to be a judge himself on “American Idol” competitor, “The Voice”, thinks the beef between Mariah and Nicki smells like a publicity stunt. TMZ caught up with him on the streets of Los Angeles. where he said, “This is Hollywood, California. Hardly anything’s legit.”
Check out the video of Cee Lo below where he also touches on whether or not he’s “worried” about ratings:
Mariah reportedly beefed up her security while they were at an “American Idol” photo shoot yesterday. Both Nicki and Mariah kept it professional and took photos with the cast and even together. Hopefully, if the beef is real, these two can put business first and work together. Will you be watching “American Idol” this season?

If you’ve ever watched “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta,” you know that producer Stevie J and his artist/girlfriend, Joseline Hernandez, have a very volatile relationship. These two fight and make up like it’s nobody’s business!
As of late the two seemed to be getting along, being spotted everywhere from L.A. to NY – but that all seemed changed last night. Stevie must have done something to really get under Joseline’s skin because she went H.A.M. on Twitter last night and threatened to expose a certain someone and their down low lifestyle. Now I don’t know if this is 100% about Stevie J, but what else does this broad have to tweet about?
Check out a few screen shots of her tweets below:
Wow, she went in! Do you think she was talking about Stevie J?
