Hip-Hop Rumors: Is Nas’ Daughter, Destiny Jones, Starring In His “Daughters” Video?

It looks like we were 100% right when we told you earlier this week that Nas’ 17-year-old daughter, Destiny Jones, is not upset with her dad over his song “Daughters”. In fact, several photos have leaked online today that show Destiny on the set of Nas’ new video for “Daughters”, which makes us believe that Destiny may be starring as herself in the video that chronicles Nas’ mistakes and triumphs as a dad.

Check out a few of the photos below, courtesy of Hip-Hop Wired.

ATL and famed music director Chris Robinson will be directing the No I.D. produced song and from the photo above, it looks like June Ambrose will be styling Nas and Destiny for the video.

Nas’ tenth album, Life Is Good, will be released on July 17th.

Cash Money Content Author Wahida Clark Hits New York Times Bestsellers List for Third Time

(AllHipHop News) This week, Cash Money Content’s Wahida Clark reached a milestone for the third time in her career as an urban author, as she finds her fiction novel, “Payback Ain’t Enough”, on the New York Times Bestsellers List.

Signed to a publishing deal under Cash Money Content (Simon & Schuster), owned by entrepreneurs Bryan “Birdman” Williams and his brother, Ronald “Slim” Williams, Clark has made an unlikely journey to the coveted book sales list.

Clark became a writer while serving a nine and a half year sentence in prison for fraud, including two and a half years in solitary confinement. She was signed to a national publishing deal while in prison, selling 100,000 books during her incarceration stint, and has sold more than 650,000 books to date.

With her Cash Money Content deal secure, Clark’s own company is reportedly worth over $1 million, and is home to 14 authors with 18 novels currently in stores. Her “Justify My Thug” debuted on Cash Money Content in 2011 at #19 on the bestsellers list.

AllHipHop.com spoke with Clark a few weeks ago, as she prepared for the debut of “Payback Ain’t Enough” on April 24. Read the interview here, and find Wahida Clark’s books in stores and on Amazon.com and other online retailers now.

Daily Word: Look On The Bright Side!!

Great day, my Great People!

Welcome to the day that you realize that your so called trials and tribulations are not that bad! Today is the day that you come to the conclusion that whatever you are going through could be worse! It is the day that you finally understand the strength of your higher power and realize that you will never be given more than you can handle!

Life and all of its challenges can become great the moment you say it is! It’s all about perspective! You can take the worst thing and make it the best depending on how you look at it! Spend time complaining and feeling sorry for yourself if you want to, but that will do nothing to make your circumstance better!

Look on the bright side! When life beats you up, realize that the fact that you are still alive to see another day is the best indication that you still have purpose! You can either be miserable or happy…. The choice is yours and the work is all the same!! Stop wasting your precious moments, and start living life to the fullest!!! NOT NOW BUT RIGHT NOW!!! THE WORLD IS YOURS!!

“Vodka War” Continues; Funk Flex Drops Grey Goose For CIROC

(AllHipHop News) Radio veteran Funkmaster Flex has teamed with Sean “Diddy” Combs, to be the latest spokesperson for CIROC Vodka.

Funkmaster Flex is the newest DJ to join Diddy’s CIROC Boyz DJ collective.

Popular personalities like DJ Drama and DJ Envy are CIROC Boyz, as is Funkmaster Flex’s rival, DJ Clue.

The news of Funkmaster Flex’s inclusion in the CIROC Boyz DJ collective comes shortly after Flex ended his deal with Grey Goose, CIROC’s main competitor.

Diddy took a swipe at his competition and called Flex’s deflection from Grey Goose to CIROC Vodka one of “the biggest landmark trades in brand history.”

“We have formed a partnership and brought him and myself and our brands together to have an exclusive partnership with CIROC Vodka, the smoothest vodka in the world,” Diddy said. “Flex will now be representing the right vodka of choice.”

Diddy is known for being ultra-competitive with his CIROC Vodka line, which has led to the infamous “Vodka War.”

In March of 2010, Diddy took shots at other brands and labeled them “pee pee.”

Martin Silver, owner of the Georgi Argent vodka brand, hosted a protest of CIROC underneath Diddy ‘s famous Times Square billboard.

Silver attempted to deliver a toilet full of CIROC to Diddy’s office, but was ultimately stopped by the mogul’s security.

The following month, Diddy sarcastically apologized to his competition – in a bathtub surrounded by CIROC Vodka.

Diddy’s offer was enticing enough for Funkmaster Flex to enter into an agreement with CIROC Vodka, as opposed to Grey Goose.

“When you see me new york city and I’m in the clubs I need an extra case of CIROC,” Funkmaster Flex said. “Bring it up there fast. You don’t even have to ask me what’s necessary to drink.”

Hip-Hop Rumors: Royce Da 5’9″ Ain’t A Couple With Charli B-More!

There is a lot of confusion going around, but let’s be clear here. Reps for Royce Da 5′ 9″ have made it perfectly clear that the super Shady rapper is not an “item” with Charli Baltimore. From what I understand, the pair have been doing some studio work together, and the result was some pics that Charlie posted on her Instagram. So, the two are making sweet music together, but only in the studio.

“Tristate of Mind” Scores Big With Unlikely Classical/Hip-Hop Mash-Up

Hip-Hop has gone the way of Beethoven.

“Tristate of Mind”, the first original Classical, Hip-Hop score ever written, is described as an organic musical canvas with life as the muse. The most culturally relevant composition to date, spanning centuries of symphonic influences. A new archetype of sound and format.

The breakthrough work, “Tristate of Mind”, is by music producer/multi-instrumentalist, Tristate, former producer for Warner Music Group artist, Outasight, and Maybach Music Group artist, Stalley.

Says Tristate of his unorthodox musical mash-up, “I composed ‘Tristate of Mind’ by pushing myself creatively to a place I’ve never been in order to uniquely contribute to music culture and music’s future. I pushed myself so that maybe our culture, humanity itself, may do the same. Something dies in us in the absence of true creativity and innovation.”

The score’s cover artwork (pictured above) was painted by Alex Andreyev of St. Petersburg, Russia, and features brilliant operatic vocals sung by Nicole Yazolino of Berlin, Germany, making the album an international work of art. “Tristate of Mind” was mixed by Grammy nominated engineer Ariel Burojow and mastered by Grammy award winning engineer Ricardo Gutierrez.

Signs The World Is Coming To An End: Woman Allows Man She Met Online To Have Sex With Her 5 Month Old Daughter

This woman is going straight to hell. 22-year-old Tessa Vanvlerah from Missouri was recently sentenced to two consecutive life sentences in prison for sexually assaulting her infant daughter and allowing 49-year-old professor, Kenneth Kyle to also rape her daughter. The little girl was only 5 months old at the time of the attacks.

The evil was discovered when Kyle, a California State University East Bay professor, was arrested on child pornography charges. Police found hundreds of child p### images on Kyle’s computers as well as information that led them to Vanvlerah. Police say the pair had sex with the girl and each other at various hotels during four different instances. Kyle plead guilty and was sentenced to 37-1/2 years in prison.

It was also discovered that Vanvlerah also exchanged child pornography with another man online and offered her infant up for sexual purposes, luckily the meeting never happened.

These two people are despicable and deserves to rot in jail for the rest of their lives. You can read the whole story at the NY Daily News

Mixtape Review: Jadakiss’ “Consignment”

  • Rating: 7.5 / 10

Jadakiss has always been the consistent bet in rap; if you ever needed a feature that would garner the automatic street appeal, there aren’t too many artists that would take priority over the LOX representative. He’s been putting out constant music for years, but that classic LP has eluded him to this point. With the upcoming release of his next album “Top Five, Dead or Alive“, he’s looking to prove he’s able to create that classic. Mixtapes, however? That’s a different subject altogether; his projects all contain high replayability due to his versatility, and that’s exactly the case yet again with his DJ-Drama powered “Consignment” mixtape which dropped recently.

There’s nothing here that will seem out of the ordinary for Kiss fans. Jadakiss is the slow-flow professional, and he utilizes that flow on almost every song here. As far as the aforementioned versatility, he goes from holding songs down solo (“Nightmares and Migranes“) to pulling out artists like Meek Mill and Yung Joc for club smashes (“By The Bar”) to playing the assist man himself behind others (“I’m Good”, with Cito and Goldie). There isn’t a role that Jadakiss hasn’t learned to fill effectively, and it shows here.

The only true issue with the mixtape is the same thing that works in its favor; there’s nothing here that seems out of the ordinary for fans and newcomers alike. This is a dope project for Kiss fans, but there’s nothing special here that sets this project out from his last aside from the production. That’s not a bad thing by any means, but “Consignment” is more of a reminder of his skills than a project displaying something new. That being said, if you rock with Jadakiss and need more music to hold you over until “Top Five” drops, then you’ll want to check this one out.
