People have wanted to know ultimately why did Russell Simmons and Rick Rubin split up. Rusell explains to DJ Vlad that they began working on different projects and focusing on other artists. Simmons says he started pulling away gradually as he began to balance other business ventures. Russell Simmons also says he doesn’t buy in to rap beef, and he’s never had a rap beef.
