It was a huge night for the top athletes in the United States last night (July 14) during Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Sports 2016 event, which was taped at UCLA’s Pauley Pavilion in Los Angeles.
Sports stars like Stephen Curry, LeBron James, Alex Morgan, Cam Newton, Ronda Rousey, Odell Beckham Jr., Rob Gronkowski, Leticia Bufoni, Usain Bolt, Simone Biles were big winners during the event, which was hosted by Russell Wilson.
Kobe Bryant was honored with the gold-mohawked Kids’ Choice Sports Legend Award by Zendaya, in recognition of his record-breaking achievements. When he received the award, Kobe was doused from head to toe in gold slime.
There were also five, massive sports-themed challenges.
Tony Hawke and Jagger Eaton competed on a 65-foot long ramp with slime filled Zorb balls as part of the “Human Bowling Challenge,” while the “Competitive Eating Slime Pie” challenge with Victor Espinoza, Emanuel Sanders, Nikki and Brie Bella to the sport to a whole new level.
