Berlin, Germany
Visiting Berlin for a weekend might be a bit of a stretch for some people – even if you catch a non-stop flight from the East Coast, it’s about 8 hours. It is however one of the most exciting cities in Europe and worth the epic journey. Not only is there so much history here (from Brandenburg Gate to the Berlin Wall), but there are also some incredible bars, shops, and restaurants. It’s also a very easy city to get around (which helps when you’re only there for a weekend). For a taste of Berlin’s alternative scene, consider finding a hostel in Kreuzberg or Friedrichshain.
