Rocsi Diaz, popular co-host of BET’s 106 & Park, has teamed peta2, the young adult branch of PETA, for a new advertising campaign urging fans to adopt pets, as opposed to purchasing them. According to peta2, over 8 million dogs and cats end up in animal shelters each year and over half of the animals are euthanized, because a new owner cannot be found. Rocsi is featured in peta2’s “Adopt, Don’t Buy” campaign with Chi Chi, one of her two adopted dogs. “There are so many dogs out there, and they need homes,” said Diaz in an exclusive interview with peta2. “They just want love.” According to Rocsi, she grew up in New Orleans, where her family adopted a variety of pets, including dogs, cats, turtles and others animals. “Dogs have feelings too, just like human beings do,” Diaz continued. “And if you’re one of those people who is bringing a dog into your home, spay and neuter your dogs!”Peta2 is the world’s largest youth animal rights groups in the world. Other artists who have been featured in peta2 campaigns include Pink, Khloe Kardashian, Travie McCoy, Fall Out Boy and others. Learn more about Rocsi Diaz peta2.com.
