Exclusive: Jadakiss Delves Into R&B Through Singer Emanny

(AllHipHop News) Rapper Jadakiss has worked with the best of the best in R&B, including Mary J. Blige, Ne-Yo, Anthony Hamilton, and Mariah Carey, but he’s found a gem that he thinks evokes the greats.

Today, Jadakiss’ artist Emanny released his debut “freeP,” Songs About HER after showcasing the whole collection of songs last week at an event hosted by radio host, Angela Yee.

“He’s a real singer that writes and arranges all of his music,” Jadakiss told AllHipHop.com exclusively. “He’s not pop or dance music. He just sings real R&B that I think the game is missing.”

In Manhattan last week, Jadakiss, along with Angela Yee, presented Emanny at a listening session that boasted a full band and intimate night of drinks, food and industry insiders.

“This project will give people insight to who I am personally as well, being that the music is based off my life experiences with loving and living,” Emanny told AllHipHop.com of Songs About HER.

Emanny’s affiliation to Jadakiss has helped raise his profile, after being associated chiefly with Shady Records’ artist, Joe Budden.

“It’s been one of the most reassuring things to have happen in my career so far,” Emanny said of working with Jadakiss. “When a guy who has hits, worked with the best in the business and has lasted this long, and keeps himself relevant calls upon and believes in my talents, it only lets me know that my gift is truly appreciated, and that I’m viewed to be equally as talented and promising as any other big name in the game.”
