Wordspit: You Repped Hip-Hop Well On “America’s Got Talent”

I’ve known the rapper Wordspit for a few years now. I’m not sure exactly how that came to be. All I know is I’ve always admired his skilled. Nowadays, I have an equal admiration for his talent, tenacity and adaptability. One day, I was randomly watching “America’s Got Talent.” I can’t fathom why. Up until that point, I had never watched the show (and only watched after when reminded). Lo and behold, I saw a familiar face. It was Wordspit rapping with a band (The Illest) in front of judges Howard Stern, Sharon Osbourne, Howie Mandel and a sizable audience. Wow. I remember him from much smaller platforms in Brooklyn or some other place in New York with a penchant for penmanship. He killed it on that day on “America’s Got Talent” and continued to do so for weeks.

Unfortunately, it came to an end recentlyy and the same judges that praised Wordspit and The Illest ended up voting the crew off the stage. But, still, I’ve got no choice but to salute the crew. Check out their last performance and see…they don’t leave quietly.

It’s hard to appreciate a performance that short, but respect nonetheless.

So, the first 2 shmucks said “Being original is a mistake”…
…The 3rd shmuck played artist’s advocate after the first 2 threw them under the bus. LOL

TV “talent” competitions. What a crock.

I thought Wordspit did a great job, and it may have been a
bad choice to sing his own songs. I wouldn’t mind watching more of him and The
Illest back on Americas Got Talent, which’s one of my favorite shows during
primetime. Now I can watch all my favorite primetime show commercial free. I’ve
been able to cut out all the manually fast forwarding commercials using the
Auto Hop feature. All the networks can still advertise their commercials,
Dish’s only making it easier by eliminating the need to manually fast forward
commercials. I just have to press play and watch my shows once I confirm
whether I want to skip commercials or not. One of my coworkers at Dish showed
me how Auto Hop worked, and how I can stay focused on my shows and not
commercials. This takes the hassle of having to replace the remote batteries as
    often.
