N.W.A. And LL Cool J Up For 2014 Rock and Roll of Fame

(AllHipHop News) Legends LL Cool J and N.W.A. are included as the esteemed nominees for the 2014 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The announcements came yesterday (Oct. 16) and included other legends ilk Chic, Hall and Oats, Peter Gabriel, Nirvana, KISS, among others.

Both LL and N.W.A. were nominated and denied entry in the past.

Should they be accepted, they will join other Hip-Hop Rock Hall inductees Grand Master Flash and the Furious Five,Run-DMC, Beastie Boys and Public Enemy.

Interesting enough, Chic provided the sonic backdrop for “Rapper’s Delight,” the 1979 song that brought rap music to the masses. 2013 is Chic’s eighth time up for nomination.

      • 8====D~~~~(.)(.) = babies

        he didnt really .. no .

      • gamer Ned

        Who accomplised more than Biggie. Especially in just 5 years. YOu better not say Tupac becuase 2pac was overrated he was all hype. Media,beef,movies etc….. 2pacs first 2 albums both only went GOLD! his 3rd album sold 1.5million!!! He didnt start selling till he joined death row started beef with biggie etc….. his 4th album out of nowhere sold 9million. So 1 year after is 3rd album is 4th album magically sells 9million. 2pac was overrated!!!!!!!!! he was all hype. Also he was a Studio Gangsta. He was from new york. He was a back up dancer. Went to acting school. He lied in 90% of his rhymes

    • DeeJay Babe

      Biggie had an impact in the urban community… not mainstream. His body of work is not long enough

      • gamer Ned

        Public Enemy? So STFU

      • gamer Ned

        Public Enemy are in the Rock in Roll Hall Of Fame.And There Impact was only felt on the Urban Community!!! Which is the reason you said Biggie wouldn’t go first. So like I said STFU up get your facts straight.

      • 8====D~~~~(.)(.) = babies

        you are very wrong about public enemy .

      • gamer Ned

        Explain?

      • 8====D~~~~(.)(.) = babies

        public enemy were at the eye of the conscious storm that hit rap in late 80s early 90s .. u must be a kid .. and tupac is a much bigger figure outside of hiphop than biggie was . again showing ur age .. mentioning sales and certification . tupac has gone diamond twice . just cause theres no certification doesnt mean its not true . its mathematically impossible for all eyes on me to still be AT 9 MIL after 15 yrs .

      • gamer Ned

        LOL You must be a Kid!!! The dude above me said Biggie wouldn’t get in first because he only had a impact on urban community. AKA Pubilc Enemy and they were one of hte frst rappers in the Hall Of Fame. Enough Said lets move. Now lets move on to 2pac. Biggie Especially in just 4 years accomplised wayy more than tupac get your facts straight!!! Biggies first album sold over 5million! 2pac was overrated he was all hype. Media,beef,movies all what boosted his career not his music. 2pacs first 2 albums both only Sold GOLD! His 3rd album sold 1.5million!!! He didnt start selling till he joined death row started beef with biggie an put out songs?videos like hit em up, Started getting arrested,spitting at cameras,rape charges,Fake shooting cops cases etc…. You get the point. Tupac need the the media and that Fake ass THUG image to boost his career. Because early on it wasn’t working. His 4th album All eyez out of nowhere sold 9million. Just 1 after his 3rd album releases his 4th album magically sells 9million. I wonder why? 2pac was overrated!!!!!!!!! he was all hype. Also he was a Studio Gangsta. He was from new york. He was a back up dancer. Went to acting school. He lied in 90% of his rhymes.

      • 8====D~~~~(.)(.) = babies

        i couldnt go on … public enemy made an impact” world wide” not just america dummy. i couldnt continue with the rest because u are a fool for that ..

      • DeeJay Babe

        Dogg you’re not even worth debating.. clearly you don’t know SHIT

      • gamer Ned

        I’m all ears lets debate. I school every 2pac stan.

  • BibatheDiva

    I was there when Run-DMC got inducted. It’s a pretty cool event. You have to have a musical career of at least 25 years before consideration. And the Rock Hall is one of the most beautiful and fascinating places I have ever been. The stuff they have in there will blow your mind.

    • acapwn

      I agree with that! Been there twice myself.

  • MrNoName2K

    LL and NWA should have been settled in there a long time ago. Political bullsh*t played a role im sure..

  • ZUBU

    Not certain how the election process works, but they are not going to let too many rappers in at once. Hence we need a “real’ hip hop hall of fame.
    Oftentimes its a numbers thing more than a talent thing. Like the NFL: Tim Brown, Andre Reed both should be in, it took Art Monk, Chris Carter, etc. a minute to get in. With WR’s T. O. Owens, Randy Moss, Marvin Harrison, etc. will all be coming up in a few not everyone is gonna get in though they all deserve to be IMO……
