Maino Offers Support For Gay Marriage

(AllHipHop News) Brooklyn emcee Maino recently spoke with VladTV about Macklemore, Hip Hop, and gay marriage. According to the “Hi Hater” rapper, homosexuality is now a part of society, and he does not have an issue with people of the same-sex getting married.

“More and more states are getting gay marriages – passing those laws. We living in a different time,” says Maino. “If that’s your thing, that’s your thing. It doesn’t bother me what your thing is, because your thing doesn’t affect me.”

He adds, “if you want to marry a man and a man wants to marry you, that’s your business.”

    • Brindle

lol… that aint enlightenment… quit watering down our words

      • Opposite Of Everyone

a healthy degree of cynicism’s all good; but perhaps he is bein sincere… if so he’s transcended the mumbo jumbo

      • Brindle

he claims he’s cool with people having nasty sex and you acten like he shared some type of knowledge with us… NOW THATS ENLIGHTENMENT…

      • Opposite Of Everyone

He said as far as gays is concerned, it is what it is; it’s futile to crusade otherwise, they’re here, they always have been, always will be and do not affect you; simple logic..

      • Brindle

        simple logic of a heathen

      • Opposite Of Everyone

        spot on..

    • Phatt Killah

no he aint trying to lose no fans is all. that’s why you can’t say nothing to him because you won’t hear no rapper that’s relevant speak agains it.

  • Whodi

Maino know supporting gays is the new meal ticket, millions of records are being sold by the gays supporters, you can’t beat them join them
Man these gangsta rappers don’t want no problems with the gays

    • Brindle

the end of your comment is hilarious, bet you never thought you’d say that…

  • Godson

I’m a Christian and believe gay is a sin, I’m not against gays or hate them but I do dislike their lifestyle/sin. but that’s my opinion. My problem with the gay agenda is that they advertise it to our youth who don’t know any better. If you’re gay keep it behind closed doors and in your bedroom.

    • Opposite Of Everyone

FOH with that Bronze age Mumbo Jumbo

      • Brindle

        you like nasty sex!

      • Opposite Of Everyone

        paleolithic man, stand up.

      • Brindle

so to you, when its acceptable to have sex with animals, to you that’s some progressive, futuristic sh!t… FOH, you nasty pervert… Wasn’t no one gay on the Jetsons or Star Trek, that mess aint got nothen to do with the future other than ya’ll brain washing Maino to accept it…

      • Opposite Of Everyone

labels, school yard names, adolescent rhetoric… n who the fu(k mentioned animals? I’m not gay – am married with 2 kids and prolly wouldn’t overjoyed to find out my kids were gay; but like the man said it don’t affect me..

      • Brindle

MARRIED TO WHAT? lol… I make me crack up

      • Opposite Of Everyone

yeah, well i think this conversation is getting a little too deep for my limited intellect so I’ll have to bow out graciously, but keep fighting the good fight bruv !

    • Brindle

True words… but the gays on this website is bout to jump on you in 3… 2… 1

      • Godson

lol!! that’s a shame isn’t it! and they say us Christian attack them. SMH…

    • Executive

Yes sir! I don’t need them advertising their gay life style especially on kids channels.

      • Godson

Exactly!! keep their sexual choices/life in the bedroom. God created us to reproduce. A gay way of life is against that.

    • rcdcr

I get up a 6am every morning. Wake up my husband of nearly 20 year, wake up our 3 children, cook us all breakfast, walk the dogs, before dropping kids off for school. Then, I head to the office for 10 hours and come home and cook dinner for everyone, walk the dogs again, do homework with the kids, and fall exhausted into bed so that I can do that all again the next day.

What about my ‘lifestyle’ is it that you hate?

Men like you are a dime a dozen. You hide your cowardice and bigotry behind God to excuse your weak and fragile ego.

You’re an embarrassment to the male species, and the opposite of a ‘christian.’

      Have a nice life.

      • dehova

So you’re a man who is WITH a man?
Well let me thank you for leaving me with all this wonderful P-U double S – Y

      • Jayson C Williams

That’s it! Perfect response don’t be like others and HATE! That’s worse. More for us. Let them enjoy their own type of American pie.

      • Godson

No hate from here my brother in Christ, I’ll keep you in my prayers. That you return to our father who is in heaven and seeks you daily. God bless..

      • Sy

That sounds condescending….as if you’re floating on a cloud, smiling, looking down at those with less faith ….and wisdom….with you being closer to your maker than most. So tell me this…are you just saying that you’ll keep “rcdcr” in your prayers, or is this something that you’re actually going to do…….

      • Godson

No I’m nobody to judge anyone. However I do have the right to share my views on what my beliefs are just as anyone who is not a Christian has that right. When I say that I will pray for rcdr, my Lord who is in heaven knows the truth that I will and that I have. That’s why I say I have nothing against what people choose to do with their life. However I do try and educate our youth what is right and what is wrong according to Gods word. I don’t teach hate but come in love and grace. We are all created by God henceforth related through God.

      • Sy

You don’t have the wisdom to educate our youth, because you don’t form opinions based on observation, intelligence, wisdom, and logic. You try to teach, based on what you read or heard, but not what you comprehend. There are two kinds of people in this world, those that think for themselves, and those that don’t. The thinkers, understand the non thinkers; but the non thinkers, don’t understand the thinkers… how could they? Figure out for yourself which category you belong to, and at least have the sense to understand your position. And if you will truly be praying for “rcdr”, then there are also a few billion others that could use your help.

      • Godson

Haha.. okay brother God bless you..

      • Sy

        God bless

      • Brindle

“Men like you” lead into a put down from a gay man… this world done changed… Its men like you that aint men at all… you can keep the kids but them 3 dogs should not be around no homosexual relationships.

      • Jayson C Williams

He’s right you guys are hypocrites and it’s sad. U don’t have to agree but if it’s not in your face out in the open than u shouldn’t complain. Nobody says sh!t about catholic priests touching boys? In fact they hide it. Serious double standard and I’m straight but I don’t hate BRINDLE. What your preaching or blogging is systematic hate.

      • heavyboy

6am every morning, wake up everybody, cook, walk dogs, go to work etc….. don’t mean to sound rude but what the hell does your spouse do cause sounds like you do every damn thing

      • Arrie Mental Woodard

hahahahahahahah aw man hahahahahaha, word straight or gay his/her spouse sound lazy as shitttt

    • Jayson C Williams

Well said I feel the same but as a Christian you shouldn’t hate! That’s a sin in itself and hence a total hypocrisy

      • Godson

That’s why I’m not hating. I’m just simply stating my opinion/belief. After all everybody is entitled to it. Jesus was angered when they turned God’s temple into a den of thieves. There is nothing wrong with being angry at sin or unrighteousness. My main issue is when they publicize it and force feed it to our youth. Straight, gay keep it in the bedroom where it belongs.

    • Realist4200

If you’re religious keep it behind closed doors and in your church.

Have you ever seen a music video? Most movies? TV shows? Music? It’s all about sex.. Don’t the youth see that? Isn’t that pushing a straight agenda? I have a bigger problem with pop culture saying “Go have a baby when you’re a kid so you can be on TV” than I have with it saying “Love who you want”. People shouldn’t push sexuality on kids at all – gay or straight. Education is key and the rest of it’s clear.

Music videos for example show bitches with their ass and titties wiggling all in my face, making me want to f#ck them. How is that not pushing a “Straight agenda”?

But because some gay people can get married, and intelligent people say “it’s great that we all have equal opportunity as humans” – there’s a gay agenda? I don’t see what you’re reaching for.

    • Arrie Mental Woodard

our youth who dont know any better….. hmmmmm…. well my son knows “better” if thats how we are putting it…. everything starts and ends in my household…. i am the ultimate teacher/provider for my seeds. and i have yet to see any “Hey its ok to be gay” pamphlets at my sons school

      • Godson

Obviously I’m not talking about every single child but there is a lot of our youth who don’t have a good caring mother like yourself or father to guide them in the right direction in life. I’m not sure where you are from but here in California there has been some discussion about teach homosexuality in our class rooms. Trust me that’s next. And your son knows better not because he was born that way but because you raised him / educated him that way. Your son wasn’t born with your wisdom or knowledge, my point is kids are not born with right or wrong judgement.

      • Arrie Mental Woodard

i get it fam, i feel you! but im fom Philly and i didnt realize they were having discussions about bringing it directly into the classroom for lectures and shitttt…. that may be a bit much for kids who dont have a stable household or the right parents to guide them. im at the next PTA meeting for sure, but i live in Va now right outside of DC.

      • Godson

Amen to that!! have a good day! :)

  • Brindle

Its a shame that our morals are governed by current events and the number of people that agree or disagree with a certain stance. Rappers are going soft for sales, people are going soft so their feelings will feel comfortable. I wish I could adjust, life would be so stress free…

    • Tall Shon or T.S

So because he is pro gay marriage or pro the right to do what you like thats a problem.

      • Brindle

think about what you said, “pro the right to do what you like”… thats a huge problem… as a kid you want to touch fire, as a husband you may want to cheat on your wife… we all got wants and desires, but just cause we want and desire doesn’t make it right… its called morals, discipline, respect for self… if they born gay, cool… I was born something that aint right i’m sure, but that don’t mean i go along with it or force it on others.

      • Realist4200

You touch fire>you get burned (obviously unhealthy)

You cheat on your wife > You run into financial, custody, and property disputes. (morally wrong – breaking trust, and losing money)

        Being gay > ?

What’s your point? Nobody is forcing anything on anybody.

Maino said “i don’t care what other people do” – and you’re saying it’s being forced on people.

Just give me one good reason for why being gay is wrong. Who does it hurt? How does it hurt them?

I’m straight. I’ve never been negatively affected by a gay or lesbian person. I’ve seen them on the street – my eyes didn’t explode. I’ve had conversations with them – the gayness didn’t spread through the air.

You’re just a ignorant person. You should educate yourself and then learn how to live in a world that isn’t yours.

      • Arrie Mental Woodard

my eyes didnt explode…. hahahahaha. good one

  • Dadon850

I don’t know bout y’all, but I can’t wait to read Lil Wayne tell all book whenever He decides to leave Baby! Oh, and Mr. Cee says he’s right behind Maino.

  • Guest

I’m going on youtube, watch all the Maino bully vids (Cease, Bunky SA, Trinidad James) and now I’m rooting for the losers!

  • Guest

Wow! And homeboy wonders why people are disrespecting NYC?

  • Phatt Killah

SMH! I aint knockin gays. i think that it’s a sickness that they can’t help. No fags?? (i don’t respect them at all) stop doing all that experimentation and gettin turned out. I just feel that that’s their business. I don’t see people talkin bout HEY LOOK AT ME, I’M A HETERALSEXUAL! Leave your business to yourself and stop introducing this sh*t to kids. You’re damaging them and you know it. God destroyed two cities that to this day a blade of grass won’t even grow. It’s the PRACTICE of gay activities and the broadcast that i don’t agree with. And if you’re a gay person in sports, you should have your own locker room and not get offended by it.

    • Jayson C Williams

Damn bro. That’s some hate.. Sickness? Idk about that. I’d fux someone up if they said being ‘HETEROSEXUAL’ was a disease

    • Realist4200

      SMH!

“God destroyed two cities that to this day a blade of grass won’t even grow.”

People think these stories are true. If you want to talk about a sickness, you religious people with your fantasy worlds and imaginary friends seem to be the definition of sick. It’s ridiculous.

Check this out. People used to swear the world was flat. They couldn’t prove it, but it made so much sense to them that it was just generally accepted as the way things were. I bet they would feel dumb if they lived long enough to see how wrong they were.

In a few generations, you religious people will be looked at and laughed at like we do when we think of the ‘flat earth’ people. Your logic is outdated and it’s losing it’s place in society. Get help for your mental illness. If you believe in living dead dudes, people living in whales, you hear voices, speak to imaginary beings or believe there’s some fluffy white dimension you can go to – you’re mentally unstable.

      • Guest

3 ppl agreed wid this dumbass?? u think walking around in lide deaf dumb and blind is sweet? cuz this simple mfer does.
REMEMBER.. THIS FELLA DOESNT BELIEVE THE BIBLE
BUT HE WENT TO PUBLIC SCHOOL.. AND LEARNED FROM THEIR BOOKS. BUT HE NEVER STOOD UP ONCE AND SAID..”THIS IS ALL FALSE

      • Realist4200

Calm down, fool. What are you even talking about? You can’t spell or punctuate correctly, but you’re calling other people dumb? Lol. “Wid”. Cool caps lock too – it makes it seem like you lost your temper a little.

You think people who don’t believe the bible are the ones who are deaf, blind and dumb. But christianity and so many other religions do nothing but limit their people’s thought and action. You people hold back education by pretending evolution isn’t real. You refuse certain modern medical treatment. You think people are wrong for not living your sheltered life. You believe in spirits, and other unrealistic things with no basis in reality. There are so many facts that religious people ignore – I can’t name them all.

You’re the definition of deaf, blind and dumb, metophorically speaking – and you do it willingly. I feel bad for you, but only you can decide how you use your brain.

      • La’shaun Saint Claire

How do you know it’s not true, I bet you weren’t not even born until the late or mid 90’s when this agenda first started up again in the cities around us. Look it’s going to get worse and people like yourself are usually GOD haters, you are still going to bow down…

      • Realist4200

Well… If you bet I “weren’t not even” born until the late or mid 90’s, you’d be out of some money.

Ignorant people are easily scared – it’s natural to fear what you don’t understand. You seem to be afraid of homosexuality for some reason, even going to the extent of ranting about a gay agenda.

Pop culture has it’s trends. 10 years ago every white kid in the country wanted to ‘dress black’ and be a thug. Movies and shows like Malibu’s Most Wanted and Ali G sprung up, and that became popular entertainment. Because that was the trend. Was it a “Black agenda”? No. It was just the direction pop culture was going at the time. It made dumb kids happy. It made their parents mad. It sold. If you turned on the news, there was a debate about stupid shit like Ludacris’ lyrics, or what Cam’ron thinks.

Right now there’s a lot of focus on gay rights, because it’s kind of contradictory for a country that preaches freedom to tell people who they’re free to be with. Obviously it’s a big issue because people want to move forward in modern society. So, naturally, the entertainment industry is using it and advertising it. It creates controversy. It stirs emotions. It sells.. That’s why you hear about it and see it.

The only reason it’s viewed as an agenda is because you pay too much attention to media, or at least don’t know how to differentiate between the media’s created controversy and reality.

  • Montezuma1

Maino either wants to get on a tour or 10 yrs in prison taught him tolerance.

I don’t like it one bit, homosexual activity but the sh!t ya saying let’s me know some of ya weren’t hugged enough or your parents didn’t teach not to hate (mostly black ghetto parents). Like enough with the hate. They like sucking men off or she like carpet munching like it ain’t your business what happens in someone else’s bedroom. Maybe some of you haven’t openly expressed what it is about it you hate? You talk bible crap but king James was a flamer? Priests are the biggest pedophiles in the world and the Roman Catholic Church hides it. Like really? Ppl are ao homophobic the hipocracy it has me scratching my head like? Maybe you’re not open enough to talk about you inner homo. Lol ya need to
Chill. Now I don’t believe in men dressing up like woman that’s weird to me. Trannys are scary lol. So that I can feel. But if it’s not in public and they’re respecting your heterosexuality than stfu.

me neither. to all men that think marrying another man is okay I would have to ask have you ever perform this sexual act before and how does it feel if the man is well endowed? Have you ever compacted a man’s penis in your mouth like a corn dog and let him shoot his sperm down your throat? Please let me know how that feels!!!
