THE ‘ACID RAP’ CREATOR JOINS A GROWING LIST OF HIP HOP REPRESENTATIVES AT THE APPLE MUSIC STATION

(AllHipHop News) Chance The Rapper has become the latest Hip Hop representative to join Apple Music’s Beats 1 Radio. The Acid Rap mixtape creator first revealed the news on Pharrell Williams’ OTHERtone show, and he then reiterated the arrival of his latest venture on Twitter.

Besides Chance and Pharrell, the roster of Beats 1 hosts includes Dr. Dre (The Pharmacy), Drake (OVO Sound), DJ Khaled (We The Best), Q-Tip (Abstract Radio), and Mary J. Blige (Real Talk). The official premiere date for Chance’s new show (apparently titled Worldwide Chi) has not been announced.

Fans of Chance have been waiting for the followup to 2013’s Acid Rap. The 22-year-old Chicago native was also the lead vocalist on Donnie Trumpet & The Social Experiment’s Surf album released in 2015. Beats 1 has built a reputation for debuting new songs/projects including Drake & Future’s collaboration What A Time To Be Alive, so a new Chance The Rapper effort could possibly premiere when his show starts to air.
