Many of you have read or heard aout the tragedy Thursday night of the Deputy Sherriff and her 2 daughters being killed and her son being accused of the crime. These were DEAR friends of mine. We were neighbors a few years ago. I would keep the kids for Joy when she wanted to go out or when she worked 3rd shift. So needless to say, my family is devastated by this tragedy. I know that the media and maybe even some of you have accepted that Anthony is the murderer and see his picture on TV and say , "What a monster!" I have heard people say," He looks as if he has no remorse" That's because the public was introduced to Anthony through this tragedy and through the media. I KNOW this child...I know his look, I know his walk, I know the boy's swagger..And he looks completely devastated on his picture because he IS. I cannot say what happened because I wasn't there, but in the depth of my soul I don't believe Anthony is guilty of this crime. I don't care how much the media is saying that they got "somewhat of a confession" out of him. My heart won't rest and I can't find peace in him being charged with this murder. I KNOW this child to be slightly over protective of his mother and sisters. He was extremely responsible and looked after them for his mom everydaywhile she worked. I am hurting so bad for him today because I know how he loved his mom and sisters with a passion. He'd spend the night at my house and go to school the next morning and be the first one up and out of bed getting his little sister ready for school. He'd make her brush her teeth, eat her breakfast, and was sure she had on her coat before she left out in the cold weather. He then walked her to school. I saw this everyday from Anthony. If Joy would come home later than HE expected he would be upset with her for not calling him. He would get upset with her and Machaiah if they put themselves in harms way. Now I don't have details on this as no one really does...But My HEART says that the authorities need to dig deeper into this situation and really look at this story and be absolutely sure of what they are doing with Anthony.

Joy was a JEWEL....you all have seen my blogs and heard me talk about my teenage girls mentoring group called JENIMAC. Joy came 2 weeks ago to speak to the girls about safety and crome and how to protect themselves from violent crimes.

As you can imagine, I am pretty speechless...My whole body aches...I don't know how to cope with this yet...I don't know what to say....I don't know what to do...I haven't slept in 2 days because I cant...My daughter and Anthony spoke on the phone 2 weeks ago and he'd told her that he'd given his life to Christ recently. My words don't seem to explain well enough what I am feelin right now with this tragedy. I have lost a dear friend. But I know it doesn't compare to what lil Anthony is feeling right now...he has truly lost everything at 17 years old. Her family are all from out of town. Imagine their shock, pain and hurt for these losses. PLEASE keep this family in your prayers and the powers at be that the truth be revealed and God's will be done in this...May the family and friends find the courage to cope with this tragic incident...
