Wyclef Jean and Lauryn Hill will appear on the same stage for separate performances during the Raggamuffin Music Festival, which will take place in Rotorua, New Zealand.

Wyclef Jean and Lauryn Hill will be co-headliners of the festival, which takes place at Rotorua International Stadium and also features headliners Shaggy, Julian Marley, Sly & Robbie, Sean Kingston and others.

The pair's performance together comes amidst new reports that Wyclef Jean was hoping for a Fugee’s reunion.

"Some how, The Fugees is the soundtrack to everyone's house,” Wyclef told DJBooth.net. "What I'm hoping is that this group really gets inspired by the new movement that I'm on right now.

“I'm hoping they'll get inspired and be like, 'Yo, let's find Clef and let's get this thing cracking.' And it would be an honor to go in and make it a super album,” Clef said of reuniting with Hill and group member Pras Michele.

The announcement of Wyclef Jean and Lauryn Hill's involvement in the Raggamuffin Festival is the singer’s first major outing since cancelling a string of high profile dates in June of 2009.

Hill had been scheduled to headline the Stockholm Jazz Festival and the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland.

Wyclef filled in for Hill on a number of the cancelled dates, which she canceled due to health reasons.

As members of The Fugees, Wyclef, Lauryn Hill and Pras Michele released two albums including 1996’s The Score, which has sold over 20 million copies worldwide.

Wyclef Jean and Lauryn Hill will perform during the Raggamuffin Music Festival in Rotorua, New Zealand on January 23rd, 2010.

Yes, people still give a s**tabout Lauren Hill.  Top female emcee of all time.  Don't get it twisted, she only sang once or twice on The Score, the rest was straight hip hop.  She has had her struggles in the last few years, but that doesn't mean we've abandoned her.

I think that the younger crowd may have been influenced by the fugees if they didn't wait so long. Now, the industry is saturated with catch-phrase, Dr.Seuss lyrics that the yutes have been programmed and now, willingly accept as the standad for hiphop. It's like EPMD and a host of others who waited to damned long. I know that only MC Lyte can compare to Lauryn's lyrics (as far as females goes) and Wycef is a genius with the song ideas but i don't think their influence will be strong enough to make the impact we need it to make.

HOT97 SAYS:I'm just tired of these Artists, who clearly don't want to entertain us anymore...Some artists act as if we are dying for them to give us some music...

Point is if people like L. Hill wants to get knocked-up and not do anything all day then fine, let that chick do her..

The greatest thing about music is that the minute and artist steps off the scene someone else will fill the slot...

Enough with begging these people to entertain us, its just a dam shame that they are the ones  who are talented and its selfish to not want to share, more with the world..

n***a, hell yeah people still give a s**tabout Lauryn Hill. Her music is universal, classic & timeless. How many people in hip hop can you say have that to their musical credentials? Not many at all, you can count them on one hand without using your thumb or pinky. Go back and listen to The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill and tell me the music isn't relevant, talented, entertaining and beautiful all wrapped in one. I highly doubt we'll ever see another Fugees album and really we don't need it, but I'll be damned if this generation of people don't NEED a new Lauryn Hill album, that track with her and Cee-Lo Green that came out not too long ago is living proof that she still has it.

L-Boogie is a troubled soul, that is probably finished (though I hope not).

She gave birth to: Alicia Keys, Jazmin Sullivan, India Arie and many others.

While rappers (boy male and female) were making women go further down the road of "b***h & Ho" lifestyles, L-Boogie was giving them a backbone and telling them to watch out for "That thing".

Though Queen La & MC Lyte are two of my favorite MC's of all time Lauryn Hill was on some Tupac s**t changing the way people think. She had an army of women ready to make serious change about the way they raise their kids, this nation and themselves.

"The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill" influenced/touched more people than probably ANY hip hop album EVER! Including Public Enemy's "It Takes a Nation of Millions", NWA's "Straight Outta Compton", or Em's "The Marshall Mather's" album.

Ask your girlfriend, sister, moms etc that was of age in the late 90's & early 2000's (between the ages of 18-38) how many times they listened to Lauryn's 1st album.

S**t is a tragic that she fell off so hard.

L-Boog was da illest on The Score.  Her and John Forte used to go IN.  Clef had to jog to catch up and Pras didn't have a chance.
It's sad that, however, we will probably never see that same Lauryn Hill again.  I personally think she coulda spit a few more verses on her album but it was still dope.  I'm gonna go DL The Score asap so I can bump that tomorrow.  lol

Go listen to your Lil Boosie records, fool. Just because someone is not actively making music doesn't take away their relevancy.  Bob Marley, Pac, The Beatles...They have all been gone a long time, and nobody is saying they aren't relevant.

Unfortunately, we live in a climate where music is disposable.  The fact that Gucci dropped 3 mixtapes at once shows you how temporary all this s**tis. So while you are waiting for the next, "Crank dat ____" I will be listening to Southernplayalistic, Illmatic, Hard to Earn, and the Score.

Did you just compare that overrated b***h to the likes of Pac, Marley and the Beatles? f**k out of here.....talk about being disrespectful. Lauryn Hill's music is far from timeless...Miseducation is one of the most overrated hip hop albums of the 90's and idiots like yourself should quit living in the past. Nobody gives a s**tabout Lauryn Hill or the wack Fugees. Quit holding on, B.

Listen Clown-Ass, first of all, I wasn't comparing anyone to anyone, rather I was saying that just because a person isn't actively making music anymore, doesn't mean they are irrelevant. Besides, The Score sold 23 million copies, Miseducation sold 19 million, and she was nominated for ten Grammies in one night.  Nobody has done that, not Jay, not BIG, not Nas.

To say that nobody cares about Lauren Hill or the Fugees is wrong.  Maybe YOU don't care about them, and that is your choice.  There is plenty of wack music out there for you to jock.  But discounting some of the most groundbreaking hip hop of the 90's is a mistake, and shows what a rap rookie you are.  I'm sure there's a Playaz Circle cd out there with your name on it.

I don't jock wack shit, so you miss me with that. I love it how you so-called, holier than thou hip hop purists talk all that "go bump some soulja boi" bulls**t when n***as like myself don't buy into the nonsense you spew, especially nonsense like Hill being a top femcee based off one overrated ass solo album ...but I know the truth hurts and maybe one day you'll learn to accept it. It doesn't matter what the b***h did back in the day, we live in a "what have you done for me lately" society, so exactly what has Lauryn Hill done this decade besides push out a bunch of Marley babies? That chick flat-lined her own career....despite what you L Boogie hopefuls say, people in the real world know she's irrelevant.
