Bay Area rapper Mac Minister was arrested yesterday (Mar. 2) in San Francisco for unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.

FBI agents and local police raided a home in San Francisco’s South of Market district around 7:30 pm and arrested the 35-year-old rapper.

Mac Minister, born Andre Dow, was profiled on Fox’s#### television series America’s Most Wanted in Feb.

He was indicted in Las Vegas on two counts of murder and two counts of conspiracy to commit murder last Nov.

Mac Minister escaped and eluded authorities on several occasions before his capture, which led to the AMW profiling.

The charges stem from the rapper’s alleged role in the May 2005 murders of Kansas City rapper Anthony “Fat Tone” Watkins and his companion, Jermaine “Cowboy” Akins.

Police believe Mac Minister and an accomplice, Jason “Corleone” Mathis, shot Fat Tone and Cowboy to avenge the murder of Vallejo, California rapper Andre “Mac Dre” Hicks.

Mac Dre was shot and killed in Nov. of 2004 after an alleged dispute over payment for a concert.

The bodies of Fat Tone and Cowboy were found in a construction area outside of Las Vegas after Mac Dre’s murder, both men killed from multiple gunshot wounds.

In May 2005, police found a Pontiac Sunfire on fire in Vallejo, Calif., and tracked the vehicle to Corleone’s girlfriend, Lee Danae Laursen.

Two days after Mac Minister was indicted for the murders, Laursen was shot to death.

Authorities said Mac Minister is a “person of interest” in the Laursen slaying as well.
