(AllHipHop News) Ever since J. Cole decided to push his Born Sinner album release date up a week to challenge Kanye West’s Yeezus on June 18th, many questioned if Young Simba could outsell the Louis Vuitton Don. Well, one day sales predictions are in, and according to Hits Daily Double both emcees will have two of the highest first week numbers of the year.

The music industry website is predicting that Kanye’s Yeezus will push between 375,000 and 400,000 units this week. That would be second only to Justin Timberlake’s The 20/20 Experience which came in at 968,000 first week.
J. Cole numbers won’t be enough to catch Kanye, but HDD is reporting that the Roc Nation rapper will sell enough units to land in the top 5 for the year’s first week sales. Born Sinner is predicted to move between 290,000 and 315,000. That is right behind EDM superstars Daft Punk’s 339,000 for Random Access Memories released in May and at number 4 for 2013.
If the numbers stick this would be nearly a hundred thousand more first week sales for Cole over his debut album Cole World: The Sideline Story (218,000). For Kanye it would be close to a one hundred thousand dip since his last solo effort. My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy sold 496,000 first week, but it would be Ye’s sixth number one album including Watch The Throne.
Mac Miller’s last album Blue Slide Park debuted at number one with 145,000 copies sold first week, but his latest project Watching Movies With the Sound Off looks to be headed to a number 3 debut with 95,000-100,000 units.
