(AllHipHop News) Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder Dame Dash was on hand at the 2015 BET Honors to present Kanye West with the Visionary Award. Dash reportedly introduced the Chicago rapper/producer by giving a speech that included him saying he still had emotional issues with Ye. The native New Yorker also added he originally did not have respect for Kanye as a rapper.

Dame and Kanye’s relationship became strained after Roc-A-Fella split up. While Dash cut ties with the Roc’s other head Jay Z, West decided to keep his business connections with the Brooklyn mogul. Jay and Dash eventually reconciled years later.

As recently as July of last year, Dame was still voicing his frustrations with Kanye. In an interview on Shade 45, Dash told the radio hosts he was “a little tight with Kanye” because he had not reached out to Roc-A-Fella’s third founding member Kareem “Biggs” Burke since his incarceration.

“Kanye, holla at me. I don’t like that s**t,” expressed Dash at the time. “Biggs was the one that was like, ‘Yo, Dame. Pay attention to what Kanye’s doing. Make sure you send him that music.’ No one’s reaching back. Certain n***as have, that’s why I’m not calling everybody out, but Kanye hasn’t.”

West and Dash appeared to be on cordial terms at the BET Honors. Dame posted pictures of the two together on his Instagram page.
