(AllHipHop News) Donald Glover produced one of the most talked about moments from last night’s Golden Globe Awards.
While accepting the trophy for Best Comedy Series, Glover shouted out Atlanta rap group Migos and their hit record “Bad and Boujee.”
The rapper/actor/writer continued his praise for the trio during a backstage press conference when a reporter asked Glover why he chose to mention Migos during his acceptance speech.
“I think they’re The Beatles of this generation. They don’t get a lot of respect outside of Atlanta,” Glover responded. “There’s a generation – sort of like the YouTube generation that I came up with – there’s a generation of kids that are growing up with something that’s separate from a whole group of people. Honestly, that song is just fly. There’s no better song to have sex to.”
Glover is not alone in his views on Quavo, Offset, and Takeoff.
The Migos-Beatles comparison has been an online discussion for years.
Besides his show Atlanta winning Best Comedy, Glover also took home the award for Best Actor in a TV Comedy Series for his role on the FX program.
