Cardi B unleashed a stern message for critics who were “praying” on her “downfall” during a livestream on Thursday night (June 19) while teasing a major announcement.
The Bronx rapper didn’t hold back as she addressed the pressure she’s been under leading up to her performance for Spotify and the rollout of her new single “Outside.”
“I’ve been going through a lot of stress,” she said, describing a chaotic week filled with setbacks. “But I know everything is going to turn out fine.”
Hinting at a bigger plan beyond just the single, she added, “It’s going to be a domino effect,” suggesting her album is finally on the horizon.
But the mood shifted when Cardi B turned her attention to those rooting against her.
“Don’t pray on my downfall because it’s just never going to work,” she insisted. “It’s been too long; I’ve been here; I’m stamped. It’s like I ain’t going nowhere b####.”
She also took a jab at people speculating about her personal life. “And also, stop thinking that you know my business,” Cardi added. “Because let me tell you something, every day my business change.”
The livestream came just hours before she and her estranged husband, Offset, dropped new singles on the same night.
The timing also followed rumors that Offset had been spotted partying alongside the ex-girlfriend of NFL star Stefon Diggs, Cardi B’s new man.
Before signing off, Cardi teased a big reveal coming Friday. “I’m going to be giving y’all clues on my channel. Because it’s not over,” she said. “Oh, honey. I told y’all to get your s### together.”
Back in December, the Grammy winner teased her album, urging fans to put aside $150 to buy it. She also hinted at a highly lucrative business move.
“I got something very important to me that is coming out next year. I don’t want to say too much,” Cardi said at the time. “This is something that I been wanting to do for a very long time. I just left a billion-dollar play.”
