(AllHipHop News) The circumstances surrounding the death of New York rapper Tim Dog have been like an episode of a top-rated cop TV show. News broke that the former Ultra member was announced dead from diabetes complications in February of 2013, but the story did not end there.
Afterwards, there were reports Tim was alive and faked his own death in order to avoid paying a woman $19,000 for scamming her out of $32,000. A warrant for his arrest was even issued. A lack of a death certificate, newly released tracks, and his family’s refusal to speak to the media added to the speculation.

NBC is now reporting that Tim Dog is officially dead. The news outlet found the rapper’s death certificate in Atlanta, Georgia. He died in a hospice on February 14, 2013. His body was cremated by Dekalb County.
The confusion seems to stem from the fact that no one outside of Tim Dog’s immediate family knew where he was living at the time. A person’s death certificate is issued in the jurisdiction where he or she passed away, so that is the possible reason the document was difficult to find.
