EXCLUSIVE: Prosecutors Concerned About R. Kelly’s Reading Issues & Demand Video Conference

(AllHipHop News) R. Kelly’s attempt to waive his arraignment in writing has failed miserably, and it’s all because of an alleged reading disability.

Last week, R. Kelly was hit with a superseding 12-count indictment with a new charge of bribery, over allegations he helped orchestrate the purchase of a fake I.D. so he could marry the late singer Aaliyah.

R. Kelly, who is sitting in prison in the Cook County Jail in Chicago, claimed he was too scared to fly to a hearing in New York to face the new allegation.

Last week, he took it a step further when his lawyer Steven Greenberg asked the court if R. Kelly could just skip the entire arraignment and plead not guilty in writing.

Greenberg admitted he had to read the complaint to the troubled R&B singer, who supposedly completely “understood” the indictment.

“I have met with Mr. Kelly, provided him with a copy of the Superseding Indictment, read it to him, and made sure that he understands it,” R. Kelly’s attorney Steven Greenberg revealed in court last week.

But U.S. Prosecutors trying R. Kelly are not taking any chances.

“Attorneys for the defendant have previously stated that the defendant ‘suffers from a learning disability that adversely affects his ability to read,’ and that ‘in essence he cannot,” wrote U.S. Prosecutor Richard P. Donoghue. “Accordingly, the government submits that an arraignment by video will best ensure that the defendant has a sufficient understanding of the charges returned against him.”

Prosecutors are demanding R. Kelly be ordered to attend the conference on December 18th.

NLE Choppa’s Ex Claims He Wants Her To Abort Their Baby!

(AllHipHop Rumors) Looks like rapper 17-year-old NLE Choppa is expecting a baby next year, but it doesn’t seem like he is too happy about the recent news.

Choppa’s ex-girlfriend, Mariah took to Instagram to put her ex on blast about how he begged her to have their baby and now wants her to abort it.

Mariah posted a series of screenshots between the two including messages where NLE says he loves and misses her, begging her not to kill the baby.

She also says he made a diss song about her only to shortly after blow her phone up with “I miss you” and “I love you” texts.

NLE responded saying that Mariah is trying to trap him saying she is upset he has moved on with his life. Ouch!

The two are very young and still learning about this thing called life. Let’s pray they figure this out.

Rapper Kodak Black Claims Correctional Officers Are Brutalizing Him In Prison

(AllHipHop News) Kodak Black is doubling down on his claim that he was mysteriously drugged when he attacked a prison guard in October, inside of the Federal Detention Center in Miami.

Shockingly, the rap star claims he is being subjected to beatings and torture at the hands of other inmates and correctional officers inside the prison, where he is currently serving a 3 1/2-year prison sentence for lying on a federal application to buy guns.

Kodak Black, real name Bill K. Kapri, maintains someone laced his drink with an unknown substance, which gave him “an out of body experience” and made the rapper feel like he was “possessed and dying slowly. ”

Kodak says he went to get help before the drug’s effect took control of him, but he was turned away and ended up in altercation with another inmate.

“This same CO who denied me medical attention, proceeded to pepper spray me which instantly impaired my vision and I was oblivious to who was punching and grabbing me repeatedly in the face,” Kodak Black revealed.

Kodak Black allegedly squeezed one C.O.’s testicles during the fight, which sent the man to the hospital to be treated for a breached abdomen and intestinal wall.

Kodak maintains he should have been treated, not beaten.

“This near death experience felt like dogs were tearing at my skin while they were grabbing and beating me while I was under the influence of this unknown substance that mysteriously hasn’t popped up in my Urine analysis and mysteriously the inmate I was fighting with went home the next day,” Kodak Black said.

Kodak Black blamed the guards for assaulting him with so much force that he had to be taken to solitary confinement in a wheelchair, and he’s been there for 45 days “without commissary, hygiene stressed out and on psych meds.”

Travis Barker Heading Up New Label DTA Records

(AllHipHop News) Travis Barker is a legend in the music game.

Coming up as the drummer of Blink 182, the SoCal native has since made a name for himself as a recording artist who’s worked with everyone from Lil Wayne to Quavo to Lil Nas X.

Now, the 44-year-old launches his new label titled DTA Records, in partnership with Elektra Music Group.

“I wanted a label partner that I trusted with true artist development. As an artist, it’s important to me that an artist’s vision is protected at all costs,” Travis Barker said. “It’s crucial that I’m able to look an artist in the eye and believe it when I say we can take them from a basement to an arena. Elektra’s track record and belief are proof of that, and I’m stoked to continue to build that legacy together through DTA Records.”

DTA Records launched with the label’s first single “Gimme Brain” featuring Lil Wayne and Rick Ross. The new song is also produced by Barker himself.

“Gimme Brain” represents a continuation of Travis’ passion for beatmaking and production, bridging his world of rock into hip-hop — which he says was his first love growing up.

DTA Records will be Barker’s outlet and platform of endless genre-bending collabs, along with a home for artist development under his watch.

Diddy Sits Down With Mentor Billionaire Ray Dalio

(AllHipHop News) Even Diddy can be taught.

The rap mogul turned entrepreneur has a net worth of approximately $800 million — but even Sean Combs has people he looks up to.

Most recently, the Bad Boy Records founder sat down with legendary billionaire hedge fund manager Ray Dalio, who has a personal net worth of nearly $19 billion.

While the two may seem to live completely different lives, it appears they have a similar mentality and outlook when it comes to success.

Diddy was actually the one who reached out to Dalio first, after the two met at a Forbes event.

Dalio, who is the co-founder of Bridgewater Associates, sat down with the Bad Boy founder for an intimate conversation.

A New Rap Or Is He Serious? Antonio Brown Says,“No More White Woman In 2020!”

Either Antonio Brown is going through it or he wants to switch things up in 2020. If you’re a fan of football than you know who wide receiver Brown is and you know the allegations being thrown his way.

In September, his former trainer claimed the football star sexually assaulted her three times. A few days later, a second woman came forward claiming sexual assault. Brown was shortly after cut from the New England Patriots.

On Thursday, AB tweeted a series of tweets, one being he was done with white women in 2020.

https://twitter.com/AB84/status/1205350241664471045

Brown does have three kids with a white woman which leads many to make numerous speculations.

The football player then posted a tweet saying he is a rapper and someone needs to “chill.”

Maybe he is considering a rap career since football isn’t working out for him right now.

We know Brown is looking to get signed by an NFL team but unfortunately these legal matters and his social media rant is hindering him from being picked.

Rapper Juice Wrld Laid To Rest

(AllHipHop News) The family of late rapper Juice Wrld laid the rap star to rest yesterday during a “Celebration of Life” ceremony.

The 21-year-old “Lucid Dreams” hitmaker died at Chicago’s Midway Airport after suffering a seizure last weekend.

It was revealed he had been taking Percocet, an opioid painkiller, and was in possession of several bottles of prescription cough syrup.

The rapper’s family gathered for a formal ceremony at the Holy Temple Cathedral Church of God in Christ, while his fans paid tribute to him during a separate service in front of The Bean in Millennium Park.

“We loved Jarad with all of our hearts and cannot believe our time with him has been cut short,” Juice Wrld’s family said in a statement. “As he often addressed in his music and to his fans, Jarad battled with prescription drug dependency.”

Read Russell Simmons’s Open Letter To Oprah Winfrey Over #MeToo Documentary

(AllHipHop News) Russell Simmons seems confused. The rap mogul is the centerpiece of a new documentary that plans to highlight allegations of sexual abuse in the music industry and Oprah Winfrey is the heavy behind it all.

An open letter to the billionaire businesswoman, Simmons appears to be perplexed and questions why she is backing a new documentary that will almost certainly disparage the business mogul.

Simmons owns his previous lifestyle but also highlights his efforts to exonerate himself from some of the damning accusations coming from three women. For example, he states he has taken and passed “nine 3-hour lie detector tests.” Several women have come forth, accusing Simmons of sexual improprieties, but others have accused him of rape. He denies vehemently that he has forced anybody into intercourse.

Below, read Russell Simmons’s letter to Oprah Winfrey in its original, unedited form.

Dearest OPRAH,you have been a shining light to my family and my community. Contributing so much to my life that I couldn’t list a fraction of it in this blog.Ihave given you the gift of meditation and the groundbreaking book”THE POWER OF NOW “we bonded to say the least. This is why it’s so troubling that you choose me to single out in your recent documentry. I have already admitted to being a playboy more (appropriately titled today “womanizer”) sleeping with and putting myself in more compromising situations than almost any man I know. Not 8 or 14 thousand like Warren Beatty or Wilt Chamberlain, but still an embarrassing number. So many that some could reinterpret or reimagine a different recollection of the same experiences. Please note that ur producers said that this upcoming doc was to focus ONLY on 3 hand chosen women. I have refused to get in the mud with any accusers, but let’s acknowledge what i have shared. I have taken and passed nine 3-hour lie detector tests (taken for my daughters), that these stories have been passed on by CNN, NBC, BUZZFEED, NY POST, NY MAG, AND OTHERS. Now that you have reviewed the facts and you SHOULD have learned what I know; that these stories are UNUSABLE and that “hurt people hurt people”. Today I received a call from an old girlfriend from the early 1980s which means that they are using my words/evidence against me and their COMMITMENT / (all of the claims are 25 to 40 years old) It is impossible to prove what happened 40 years ago, but in my case proof exists of what didn’t happen, mostly signed letters from their own parents, siblings, roommates, band members, interns, and in the case of 2 of your 3 accusers, their own words in their books. Shocking how many people have misused this important powerful revolution for relevance and money. Maybe you should name your documentary “FLAVOR OF LOVE”!? In closing, I am guilty of exploiting, supporting, and making the soundtrack for a grossly unequal society, but i have never been violent or forced myself on anyone. Still I am here to help support a necessary shift in power and consciousness. Let us get to work on uplifting humanity and put this moment and old narrative behind

Nicki Minaj Admits She Will Never Retire

(AllHipHop News) Newlywed Nicki Minaj doubts she will ever move “completely away” from her music roots, despite expressing a desire to retire from the rap game and start a family.

The “Starships” hitmaker stunned fans in September when she took to Twitter and abruptly declared she was hanging up her microphone.

“I’ve decided to retire & have my family,” Minaj tweeted at the time. “I know you guys are happy now. To my fans, keep reppin me, do it til da death of me… Love you for LIFE (sic).”

The hip-hop star soon backtracked and deleted the post, claiming she didn’t mean for devotees to take her words so literally.

But the 37-year-old admits she does want to take a hiatus from the spotlight to focus on her personal life with her new husband, Kenneth Petty, whom she wed in October.

However, Nicki Minaj has assured fans she won’t be gone forever.

“I love music and interacting with fans, so I can’t really see taking myself completely away,” she told Billboard about her plans outside of the studio.

“But I want to be open to other possibilities in my life. I do believe it is important to become a woman outside of the magnifying glass. I have to make sure that I’m well-rounded as a human being.”

Part of that process involves continuing to grow her business empire, which includes her MYX Fusions alcohol firm and her fashion partnership with designers at top luxury brand Fendi, of which she is “really proud.”

“I plan on venturing out a million times more than I am now. That was always my goal: to become a big businesswoman,” she explains. “I don’t want to be in such a lucrative industry and not capitalize on it – everyone else does it.”

Nicki Minaj is doing something right – her career success to date has earned her the inaugural Game-Changer title from Billboard bosses at their 2019 Women in Music gala.

Smoke DZA Talks Recording ‘Prestige Worldwide’ with Curren$y

Smoke DZA is the Kush God, described as “your favorite stoner’s favorite stoner.” The Harlem, New York native reps the East Coast in all ways, including down to the basics of hip-hop.

Growing up to the likes of Biggie and Jay Z, Smoke DZA, real name Sean Pompey, prides himself in his ability to actually rap.

Fast forward to 2019, DZA unleashed his joint mixtape with Curren$y titled Prestige Worldwide, which arrived on Black Friday of this year. The project is spearheaded by lead single “3 Minute Manual” produced by MonstaBeatz.

AllHipHop: Why are you everyone’s favorite stoner?

Smoke DZA: For multiple reasons, you would have to ask them. [chuckles] But I smoke really good weed and I keep good energy.

AllHipHop: What’s your favorite?

Smoke DZA: My favorite right now is Luigi OG, that’s my go-to right this second. That’s from out here. It’s just the closest to the strongest OG that you can smoke.

AllHipHop: That doesn’t put you out?

Smoke DZA: I mean, they all put me out. But I like to be tranquilized by good weed. [chuckles]

AllHipHop: How much did you smoke today?

Smoke DZA: I never really count, but I smoked a good portion.

AllHipHop: At what point did you & Spitta decide you wanted to do a whole project together?

Smoke DZA: Well any time me and Spita record, we end up doing a project worth of s##t. We don’t record a lot but when we do, it’s a fair share of records. This was the first we did it with intent to put out a tape. Because we’ll run a session and have 4 or 5 songs with no purpose, just do it. He’ll use it for him, I’ll use it for me. We’ll split whatever else up. But this particular time, I hit him like, “Yo I’m coming to New Orleans, and we locking in!” He’s like “alright cool.” That’s exactly what happened.

AllHipHop: What’s the vibe in New Orleans?

Smoke DZA: The vibe in New Orleans is always cool. Gumbo, good weed, my friends, cool cars and s##t.

AllHipHop: How long have you know Spitta?

Smoke DZA: I’ve known Spitta since 2008.

AllHipHop: How much gas is he smoking?

Smoke DZA: A lot! A session with us, we might run through a zip or 3… depending on how long it is. We smoke weed. I can’t say we sit there and count how much weed we smoked. We just smoke until it’s time for us to depart. [laughs]

AllHipHop: “3 Minute Manual” is super inspiring, bring us back to that studio session.

Smoke DZA: We were just gang: smoking weed, watching movies and eating wings from We Dat’s (spot in New Orleans). Chicken tacos and different s##t. We were f##king watching Why Do Fools Fall in Love, telling jokes. Then we went to the studio and laid that, and 6 other records.

AllHipHop: What do you want fans to get from this one?

Smoke DZA: I mean, we rap. We tell good stories. We’re just giving a vibe. Supporting the after Thanksgiving leftovers, good weed and Prestige Worldwide to listen to.

AllHipHop: Best memory from the video shoot?

Smoke DZA: Getting it done. [laughs] Because it’s a f##king movie anytime I’m with that kid. It was shot in New Orleans, don’t get me going. Some of it was in French Quarter, some of it was in Jet Lounge, some of it was at one of his cribs.

AllHipHop: What’s the significance in the title Prestige Worldwide?

Smoke DZA: We got it from “Step Brothers.” They had a slogan called “Boats and Hoes” and “Prestige Worldwide” was their rap group. I came up with it randomly being funny, and he loved it. Us being brothers and it just being funny, that’s really what that is.

AllHipHop: You also did a whole project with Benny The Butcher. What was that experience like?

Smoke DZA: Well I love to rap, and Benny is rapping at a very high level – he has been. I like to spar with my peers. He’s a family member, so it was good to actually get in and get it done. It’s good to get it done.

AllHipHop: What’s it like creating a joint project with someone vs. solo?

Smoke DZA: I don’t want to sound like I’m being lazy, but it’s less work. [chuckles] It’s exciting to share the stage with somebody else cool, and get s##t done.

https://www.instagram.com/p/B5EMuRwgv45

AllHipHop: You recently posted “all the money in the world won’t give you piece of mind.” Can you elaborate on that?

Smoke DZA: That was a Dave East line from a song, the joint with Teyanna Taylor. I mean, that’s just real. You can’t buy peace. Money can’t buy you that. It buys you locations and places to go but if you don’t have peace inside, then it means nothing.

AllHipHop: What’s your relationship with Dave East?

Smoke DZA: I f##k with Dave, that’s my guy. Good guy right there.

AllHipHop: New York mob ties?

Smoke DZA: Definitely New York mob ties. I’ve known East for a long time, I’m very proud of him and where he’s at. Just showing love to my comrade.

AllHipHop: How important is social media for your career?

Smoke DZA: Social media is important for my career because I’ve touched a lot of people I’ve never seen before, and that’s through the social media and them being able to find my music by following me on Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook, MySpace back then. It’s pivotal to my message because I don’t have to be in these places for them to be in tune with me.

AllHipHop: Favorite person to follow on IG?

Joefreshgoods because he got swag. He’s actually one of my spirit animals, my style fashion spirit animals. He’s a big guy that knows how to put it together. A lot of people don’t show love to people that they get inspiration from, I’m not afraid because it is what it is. It’s one of my favorite accounts, just to see the fly s##t. Check the outfits, see what fly s##t is dropping.

AllHipHop: Do you feel real hip-hop is hard to be seen nowadays?

Smoke DZA: No. People can find whatever they want to find. If people are into real hip-hop, they’ll find it. The internet is the source for anything. If you want to listen to EDM, if you want to listen to soul, if you want to listen to mumble rap, whatever. You can find it.

AllHipHop: Who’s in your current Top 5?

Smoke DZA: I listen to a lot of Griselda, so that’s 3 out of my 5. I’m listening to East’s new s##t, and I’m listening to Wale. That’s my 5 right there.

AllHipHop: You cool with Wale too?

Smoke DZA: Yeah that’s my brother. I love Wale. He’s a good guy, very misunderstood.

AllHipHop: Favorite part about LA?

Smoke DZA: The weed.

AllHipHop: What are some goals for yourself as an artist at this point of your career?

Smoke DZA: Well I own my catalog right now. So for me, it’s just to continue to own my catalog. Just do cool s##t and collab with my friends, s##t like that.

Kehlani Says She Is Single After Being Spotted With Tory Lanez

A kiss is still cheating! Kehlani wasn’t feeling YG’s cheating incident a few weeks ago. Back in October, the LA rapper was spotted what looks like kissing a nameless woman outside of a Hollywood nightclub.

Of course YG denied he locked lips with this woman and said he would never cheat on his bae. The internet had plenty to say about YG and Kehlani as they were confused on how abruptly this relationship started being that that two both recently had children with other people. According to Kehlani, this relationship was “five years in the making.”

Rumors are now swirling that the 24-year-old singer is now dating Tory Lanez after the Canadian artist posted a picture of the two in the club together.

Well, Baelani shut that down real quick on twitter saying, “because I keep seeing this. I’m addressing it. Absolutely not. We made a song for my album. I am single. And focused. Leave the rumors for poorly paid bloggers.”

Well, it looks like YG found out about this alleged new couple and took to Instagram to get a few things off his chest posting, “What Young Thug said: DON’T GET SHOT TRYNA COMFORT MY B*TCH WHILE WE GOIN THRU IT/ I KNOW WHERE N*GGAS LIVE BLACK OPS.” Whew, chile. The ghetto!

EXCLUSIVE: Tekashi 6ix9ine Aint All Bad, So Says U.S. Senators!

(AllHipHop News) Tekashi 6ix9ine will be looking over his shoulder for decades for snitching on the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods.

The rap star cooperated with the Feds in a RICO investigation, and his testimony helped convict 12 members of the feared gang.

Because of his cooperation with the Feds, Tekashi 6ix9ine could be on his way to earning the title of “most despised rapper in hip-hop history.”

But that doesn’t mean he hasn’t done any good.

In fact, during his short burst on the scene, Tekashi 6ix9ine managed to rack up a variety of accolades for his work in the community.

Just a month before his 2018 arrest in New York, congresswoman Latrice Monique Walker presented the rainbow-haired rapper with citation labeling him “an outstanding citizen, one who is worthy of the esteem of both the Community and of the Great State of New York.

Senator Jesse Hamilton also praised the rapper in an undated proclamation celebrating the hip-hop star’s “good citizenship.”

The rapper also did some good on the West Coast too.

Tekashi 6ix9ine was presented with a proclamation dated November 26th, 2018 from the United States Senate in California.

Senator Vanessa Delgado of the 32nd District honored 6ix9ine for his “inspiring leadership and work on behalf of children around the world” even though he was locked up on the RICO charges on the date the announcement was issued.

The following day on November 27th, 2018, congresswoman Cristina Garcia of the 58th District gave the rapper a certificate of recognition for his role in working with Autism Speaks.

Tekashi 6ix9ine is banking on his charitable works and his cooperation with the Feds to keep him out of Federal prison.

Tekashi 6ix9ine will be sentenced on December 18th, 2019.

Critically Acclaimed Rapper Planning Collaboration With Peppa Pig

(AllHipHop News) Stormzy looks set to team up with children’s cartoon character Peppa Pig for a new track.

In an unlikely turn of events, the pair connected on Twitter after fans pointed out the official Peppa Pig account has followed the “Vossi Bop” hitmaker.

As a buzz began to grow, the character’s page shared a nod to the star’s upcoming album Heavy Is The Head, tweeting the title along with a GIF showing Peppa wearing a crown.

Shocked by the news of his surprising new fan, Stormzy re-posted the cartoon character’s post with the message: “Wtf (What the f**k) is going on lmao (laughing my a*s off).”

Peppa’s account then replied with a reference to her new festive tune “Bing Bong Christmas,” and, clearly impressed by the kid’s TV star’s musical credentials, Stormzy added: “Let’s collab. How we gonna do this?”

https://twitter.com/stormzy/status/1204885850460479488

A final message from the character’s account then read: “Better ask Daddy Pig…”

Fans of the British grime star appeared thrilled by the potential for collaboration, describing it as “the collab of 2020” and “what we need,” while another suggested that Peppa could re-brand as Notorious P.I.G.

Stormzy’s album Heavy Is The Head drops today while Peppa’s debut album, My First Album, and single “Bing Bong Christmas,” are out now.

Tekashi 69’s Baby Moms Responds To Charges She Sexed The Blood Gang!

(AllHipHop Rumors) The AllHipHop News Crew has been covering the Tekashi 69 crazy! Shout out to Grouchy Greg! Anyway, the new section is doing the most right now and they broke a story. Here’s what it says.

“I knew from previous incidents that the gang would retaliate against me for denouncing them in public. Prior to my arrest, I was kidnapped by members of the gang, became aware of the fact that the mother of my child was having sexual relations with one of my co-defendants and that they were stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from me,” Tekashi 6ix9ine complained. “I had a feeling of relief when I was arrested by the government because I felt stuck, like the gang had control of my life and that I would never be able to escape their grip. I needed to do something before it was too late.”

Here is the link to the whole exclusive story, if you want to read it

The rapper makes it sound like they were running a choo-choo train on her when he was out on tour. Talk about messing up the money on all fronts! I cannot wait for 50 Cent to put this damn thing out in the form of that TV show he’s working on! Anyway, Sara Molina has a response to all that talk about sex with Bloods.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N5e7C_X5qLY

This video goes on for like 30-plus minutes so here are some “cliff notes” for those of you that cannot watch the video.

  • She says he beat her until she had two black eyes
  • She says he locked her in a room and raped her in Dubai
  • She says no one stole from Tekashi
  • She says she never sexed his fellow Blood gang members
  • She says he never helped to raise their daughter

What say you? I gotta say….she’s a credible “witness” if you know what I am saying.

EXCLUSIVE: Chanel West Coast & Sharon Stone Trying To Squash Legal Battle Over Rap Video

(AllHipHop News) AllHipHop has confirmed rapper Chanel West Coast has linked up with Sharon Stone, and the pair are trying to squash their beef.

Sharon Stone blamed Chanel West Coast for ruining her image by releasing a drug-fueled anthem called “Sharon Stoned.”

The rapper was accused of shooting a video for “Sharon Stoned” and blatantly stealing scenes from some of Sharon’s most beloved movies, including “Casino” and “Basic Instinct.”

Sharon Stone also claimed Chanel West Coast was “challenged” as a rap artist, so she used the actresses’ fame to cash in with the song “Sharon Stoned.”

As proof, Sharon noted, “Sharon Stoned” repeats her name 99 times during the 3:01 track.

Chanel responded in kind and said she made Sharon Stone relevant again. The rapper also accused Sharon of being a two-faced, backstabbing hypocrite because she was initially down to make an appearance in the video.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y2_yEs15qTY

Sources close to both parties confirmed the ladies are “in deep negotiations” to settle the whole ordeal.

Chanel and Sharon Stone are “cautiously optimistic” they will be able to resolve the matter without having to duke it out in court.

Both women agreed that settlement talks would be more productive – cheaper than a long, drawn-out legal battle.

Chanel West Coast has until January 31st to reach an agreement with Sharon Stone.

If the rapper cannot negotiate the settlement with Sharon Stone, the actress is planning on continuing forward with her lawsuit.
