Montreal’s hip-hop hero Nate Husser comes through yet again with “Iced Out Baby G,” a single off his forthcoming project Adult Supervision via +1 Record/EMPIRE. This serves as the follow-up to his last single “Jelly,” which premiered on EBRO’s Apple 1 Radio show.
Speaking on the track, Nate says, “I’m a real 90’s baby. Dudes like Pharrell and Lil Wayne were who I was looking up to. This song is a homage to that early 2000’s era and what these guys did for the culture at that time.”
The official music video for the song is delayed as Nate awaits his Custom Iced Out Baby-G Shock from his jeweller @goldgrillzmtl. “It’s finna be the hardest s### my city ever seen.”
Nate came up with his Instagram handle @everyonesaweirdo on a trip to LA, “out back behind the studio crib I was living at. Chillin’, smoking, and boom. The name speaks for itself but I’ve always been one ’em n*ggas they call ‘weird’ because I stood out and moved different. But everyone got some super weird ass sh-t about ’em.”
Look out for Nate’s forthcoming project, Adult Supervision dropping Q1 2021.
Since his epic pop-out last year, DaBaby’s life has rapidly transformed into something beyond his wildest dreams.
One thing that is evidence of his success is a sprawling new estate in Troutman, N.C., a small town that has a population that is less than 3,000 (a number that matches the Brooklyn Bowl’s capacity).
Though he moved in less than a year ago, his Trump-supporting neighbors on his two-lane street are not as excited about his homeownership as his friends, family, and fans.
According to the Quad City Metro, the local police and code enforcement have received complaints because of his extraordinary amount of traffic and noise.
In fact, over 31 complaints or calls have been made to the home since December 2019. Fourteen of those were because of triggered burglar alarms, four about loud noise, and at least two arguments.
Neighbors also complained about the construction going on at the estate, but do you think the chart-topper is worried? Bwaaah.
The “BOP” rapper dropped a cool $2.3 million home that is circled by concrete walls and two-story guard towers, snd stadium lighting in the backyard.
Confident Kanye West is convinced Jennifer Aniston’s caution to fans thinking about voting for the rapper is a sign he’s got a chance at the U.S. general election polls next week.
Kanye launched his bid to become the next American leader back in July and his name will appear on ballots in a number of states, going up against Donald Trump and Democrat Joe Biden – the two frontrunners for the White House seat.
Over the weekend, Aniston shared that she voted for Biden and his running mate Kamala Harris via social media, and urged fans to not vote for Kanye, writing: “It’s not funny to vote for Kanye. I don’t know how else to say it. Please be responsible.”
The rapper refuses to accept her comments are just a slight and insists that many liberals are worried he could win.
Kanye West has shared a screen grab of an article with the headline, “Jennifer Aniston Endorses Joe Biden, Tells Fans ‘It’s Not Funny to Vote for Kanye’,” and captioned it: “Wow that Rogan interview got em shook Let’s gooooooooo.”
Kanye’s interview with Joe Rogan on the comedian’s top-rated podcast, in which the Power hitmaker details his plans for America’s future, is now live.
Kanye does have his supporters – tech guru Elon Musk, Chance The Rapper, Rose McGowan, and Nick Cannon have all endorsed the Hip-Hop star.
Chali 2na has spent over two decades honing his craft since his the early days as frontman and co-founder of legendary group, Jurassic 5 and Grammy Award-winning Ozomatli. In addition to releasing music as a solo artist, he’s garnered renowned praise as a visual artist across a wide spectrum of canvases.
Having toured the world 10 times over with his 3-piece band known as the House Of Vibe, he’s collaborated with the likes of Raphael Saadiq, Anthony Hamilton, Damian & Stephen Marley, Beenie Man, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Rusko, Black Eyed Peas, and many more.
In celebration of the 10th anniversary of Chali 2na’s classic album Fish Outta Water, the legendary MC brings forth the latest track from his arsenal to receive a 2020 makeover. Revisiting his inspirational collaboration with international soul veteran Choklate, Chali showcases a brand new version of “Keep Goin’,” reviving the R&B hybrid track with vibrant instrumentation and shape-shifting hip-hop beats into sonorous melodies.
The timeless message shines bright as the veteran rapper speaks on perseverance and hope in the face of challenges, approaching life with a perspective akin to the song’s namesake. Steadfast piano chords and hearty brass provide the foundation for an addictive hook, while Choklate’s silky vocal runs trade off with Chali’s signature baritone delivery for an ultimately laidback, yet uplifting listen.
Speaking on the single, Chali 2na states “The original ‘Keep Goin’’ was written to describe how I felt about my career after my group broke up. ‘Keep Goin’’ 2020 has been rewritten and remixed to cater to all of those people out there who are fighting against this oppressive state that the world’s being forced to partake in. Whether it’s protesters on the frontline or first responders, we see you. We hear you. KEEP GOIN’!!!”
“Keep Goin’” marks the second single from Fish Outta Water to receive a decade anniversary update, following the earlier release of “Controlled Coincidence.”
Both tracks pay homage to Chali’s prolific career and simultaneously bring forward bold lyricism that still rings true in the present day. Chali will round out his 10th anniversary celebration with a cumulative 4-track EP, arriving soon.
KPWR Power 106 and KRRL Real 92.3 are two of the leading Hip Hop radio stations in the United States. Nick Cannon Mornings and Big Boy’s Neighborhood are the flagship shows on the respective Los Angeles-based channels, and they both provide millions of listeners with daily content connected to the culture.
For episode 2 of his Morning Walks series,Coffee & Kush Vol 1 album creator Jason “Problem” Martin spoke with Nick Cannon. The conversation included the former Wild ‘n Out host discussing the perceived competition between himself and KRRL’s Kurt “Big Boy” Alexander.
“I called Big before I made the final decision that I was actually going to [take the job at Power 106]. We sat down and chopped it up like grown men,” Cannon stated. “Kings don’t bicker. Kings don’t compete. We don’t play no games.”
He added, “That’s my big bro. We said that from the gate. We gonna show LA, we gonna show the community we’re really about unity. We gonna show them this is really what it is. Whether it’s Bloods, Crips, Mexicans, Blacks – we all know the different things our communities have gone through, but if we really want to be those voices of unity, we ain’t gonna compete when two Black men are operating on the highest level. We gonna salute each other.”
The two-part Morning Walks interview also included Cannon and Problem chatting about the television personality being called corny, his investment mistakes, the Chi-Raq movie, his rap career, and walking away from NBC’s America’s Got Talent. Cannon even admitted he hates the 2003 teen comedy Love Don’t Cost a Thing and only acted in the film strictly to make money to buy his mother a house.
“Morning Walks derived from me changing my day to day habits,” explains Problem in a press release. “It was a cool way to give back to my body while spending time with my woman. The convos that happened during these walks were so inspiring that I decided to make a series out of it. Thank you Green Hour Coffee for helping me bring this to life!”
The initial episode of the Morning Walks, presented by Problem’s film company 50million Media and Green Hour Coffee, featured NBA player Demar DeRozan. 50million Media also produced the short film A Compton Story which was written by and starred Problem with guest roles from Mike Epps, Snoop Dogg, Jackie Long, and more. A Compton Story 2 is currently in production.
Georgia is typically viewed as a red state where Republican presidential candidates easily secure 16 Electoral College votes. A Democrat running for president has not won the state since 1992. According to theRealClearPolitics average of polls, the Peach State is currently a toss-up between Donald Trump and Joe Biden in the 2020 race.
The Biden-Harris ticket hopes to pull off a win in Georgia on November 3. To help switch the state from red to blue, the Democrats enlisted Migos rapper Kiari “Offset” Cephus for a performance at a drive-in rally in his hometown of Atlanta. Chicago emcee Common was also in attendance at the event.

“With all the negativity I experienced the other day, today was full of positivity. I want to thank the [Biden-Harris] team for inviting me to be a part of their rally and be a part of changing my community for the better. It was great being a part of a peaceful rally with everybody having a good time and enjoying music by me and my guy @common,” posted Offset on Instagram. The “negativity” comment referred to Beverly Hills police officers detaining him over the weekend after he was apparently harassed by Trump supporters.
Cardi B recently defended her husband’s political activity after he faced some criticism for his take on the Birkin bag debate that had consumed parts of social media over the last several days. She uploaded numerous posts from Offset’s Instagram account where he pushed for his 17 million followers to take part in the voting process.
“This man has posted ten plus times about voting but the one time he talks about a bag it’s what makes ya go into a frenzy and In deep conversations. I spoke too many times about voting and ya call me ‘dumb’ or [say] ‘shut up and stay out politics.’ When we go on live and talk about society you will see the views go down real fast,” Cardi wrote on her IG page.
The “WAP” hitmaker continued, “I don’t understand why people be fronting like ya be interested in something and want [to] see ‘more celebrities’ invested on social issues but what YAAA MAKE TREND is drama and what buying what and who is getting what? So who is at fault the celebs or the public?”
Michelle Obama’s When We All Vote initiative featured Common’s song “A Place In This World.” The former First Lady of the United States used the track in a campaign for National Vote Early Day on October 24.
“Every single vote will make a difference in this election. So, reach out to at least three friends or family members and remind them to turn in their mail-in ballot today or help them make a plan to vote on Election Day,” wrote Obama on Instagram. “Go to whenweallvote.org to get started and research your ballot. Special thanks to @Common for sharing this powerful song with @WhenWeAllVote and inspiring us all!”
“A Place In This World” will appear on Common’s forthcoming A Beautiful Revolution Pt 1 which is scheduled to drop on Friday, October 30 via Loma Vista Recordings. The project consists of seven new songs and two new interludes. Black Thought and Lenny Kravitz are listed as guest features.
For the collection, Common assembled a band that includes Robert Glasper (keys), Karriem Riggins (drums), Burniss Travis (bass), Isaiah Sharkey (guitar), and PJ (vocals). A full-length listening film, directed by Mark Leibowitz, will feature Common’s musical ensemble. The performance visuals were inspired by the work of Ghanaian artist Derrick Boateng, the photographer who shot the A Beautiful Revolution Pt 1’s cover art.
‘A Beautiful Revolution Pt 1’ Cover Art
“A Beautiful Revolution Pt 1 is affirmation. It’s recognition. It’s elevation. It’s music to go with a movement. Because the truth is, there is still so much work to do. Regardless of the outcome of the election, we need to make sure things do not return to the status quo. The intention of the music is to channel all of our pain and outrage into something productive, inspirational, and good. It’s to help lead a movement into our next phase of the work to be done,” says Common.
On Friday, Common will host an album listening experience on his official Youtube channel. Additionally, he is set to perform the single “Say Peace” on the November 4 episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The emcee/actor will be joined by Black Thought and PJ on the NBC program the night after the 2020 presidential election.
The cyphers are always one of the most talked-about segments of the annual BET Hip Hop Awards. The culture has experienced classic moments such as Royce da 5’9″ shooting his shot at Rihanna in 2011 and Kendrick Lamar seemingly throwing subliminal shots at Drake in 2013.
This year’s Hip Hop Awards show brought more artists in front of the camera to show off their skills. DJ Hed hosted the 2020 edition of the rap sessions.
Chika, Flawless Real Talk, Jack Harlow, Polo G, and Rapsody took part in the first-ever social justice “Political Cypher.” A “Ladies First Cypher” came together with established R&B singers Erykah Badu, Brandy, H.E.R., and Teyana Taylor.

Back in 2012, Jeezy finally got a huge look when President Obama shouted him out at the Correspondents Dinner in April of 2012.
“In my first term, I sang Al Green; in my second term, I’m going with Young Jeezy,” President Obama said as he prepared to lead the country for another four years.
President Obama was talking about Jeezy’s song “My President” featuring Nas, from the Atlanta trap star’s 2008 album The Recession.
During a sit down with DJ Carisma, Teddy Mora, and Melissa Rios of Power 106, Jeezy said the look was a make-good of sorts, after the C.I.A. prevented him from attending the annual event one year.
“He only did that because he invited me to a Correspondents Dinner in New York and I went with my whole team, bought everybody nice suits. I got there and the Secret Service wouldn’t let me in,” Jeezy revealed.
“I just believed in what he did and I wanted my people to have something to believe in as well,” Jeezy said, explaining why he recorded “My President.”
“I didn’t do it for a personal gain, I did it because I believed. And once he won I was like okay cool. I always understood that my past would kind of come in the way when I started making those type of moves because it’s like you can’t go sit beside the ‘snowman,'” Jeezy said with a lighthearted chuckle.
Atlanta rapper Mulatto sat down with AllHipHop.com amidst her nomination of Best New Hip Hop Artist at the 2020 BET Hip Hop Awards. Mulatto is also slated to perform.
Mulatto had a breakthrough moment in 2019 with the release of her boldly-titled single, “B#### from da Souf.” The record was a huge success and quickly racked up views and streams.
The single also earned gold certification and the rapper received her first plaque. Mulatto is the first solo female rapper from Atlanta with a gold plaque. She was quoted as saying, “I just made history!!!”

While the theater world has been hit hard over the last year by the COVID-19 global pandemic, many show creators are finding new and innovative ways to bring the stage to their audience using technology. Rapper, actor and playwright, Nikki Lynette is such a producer.
Lynette is poised to her musical Get Out Alive to her virtual theater this winter — affording those who missed the sold-out regional debut, during the Steppenwolf Theatre Company’s LookOut Series, a chance to see the show in all its glory.
The story is not your average theatre piece.
It is a work that combines technology with her edgy life’s story, tiptoeing through mental health challenges, and strolling down her lanes of personal triumph.
“Music that deals with mental health doesn’t have to be sad or corny. If these are issues we navigate everyday, then it should be the soundtrack to people’s real lives,” Lynette said. “When I went into the psych ward after a suicide attempt, I met all these people with the same issues as me, and they felt alone, too. I told them when I got out, I would use my platform to tell our stories — and I’m keeping my word.”
According to the producers say through a release, “Get Out Alive is an afrogoth celebration of life, loss, and the lessons we learn along the way.”
“Recounting Nikki’s personal journey marked by abuse, grief, sexual assault, and suicide,” the release continues. “This tech-forward production raises awareness around mental health all through the lens of a hip hop concert.”
In addition to writing and starring in the production, Lynette heads up the art direction and pulls from documentaries, visual media, and a short film shot on the south side of Chicago over this year’s summer. She also soundtracked the musical with more than a dozen new songs that were crafted to match the powerful book that celebrates her as a victor, even as it articulates the bumps and bruises she received along the way.
It should not be shocking that her music is going to be featured in the show. She is quite an accomplished artist, having her songs appear in shows on Netflix, Hulu, Showtime, Fox, and MTV.
Lynette will also host several chats online before the virtual debut, to broach the mental health conversation from the context of the critical advocacy that is needed in the Black community. This will be on November 16.
Lynette will not only debut this piece virtually but will be featured in a TEDx Talk with Princeton University on Tuesday, November 24.
Get Out Alive will premiere online on January 30, 2021. Tickets are available at https://rex-retail.com/.
Just because Kendrick Lamar doesn’t have a new song on the radio, doesn’t mean that he is not making major moves behind the scenes.
He actually just made an André the Giant-esque body slam on the game by signing an exclusive global administration publishing deal with Universal Music that will enable him to take his gifts to the next level.
This lucrative deal also brings his team Top Dawg Entertainment to the table, further shoring up their musical empire.
Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith, the head honcho at the firm said, “Kendrick and I are excited for our new partnership with Jody Gerson and UMPG. Jody was passionate from the jump – she fought to make this deal happen.”
K-Dot is one of the most celebrated emcees of his generation with numerous awards, including 13 Grammys.
“Kendrick Lamar is not only one of the greatest lyricists that has ever lived,” Jody Gerson, UMPG Chairman, and CEO notes. “But he has done as much or more than any artist to promote much-needed change in our society through music. I and my colleagues at UMPG are deeply honored to be afforded the opportunity to join Kendrick, Anthony ‘Top Dawg’ Tiffith, and the TDE family to help forward his unique and important vision.”
From the moment that he dropped the chart-topping Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City (2012), Kendrick has been approaching the rap industry with his own vision— redefining West Coast Hip-Hop and defying common notions of what the millennial rappers should sound like with his subsequent albums To Pimp a Butterfly, and Damn.
Texas rapper and break out mogul Travis Scott will join Cardi B and Stormzy next year as headliners for the 2021 Rolling Loud festival in Portugal
Set for July 6th – July 10th on the popular Portimão beach, Travis is expected to bring a vibrant show filled with optics appropriate for a rock star.
Despite the uncertainty caused by the COVID-19 global pandemic, tickets were announced this summer for the three-day festival. In a matter of days, they were all sold out, forcing organizers to add some additional dates (July 9th & 10th).
That also affords them the space for Mr. Astroworld.
Other artists set to hit the stage beside Travis Scott, Cardi B, and Stormzy are A$AP Rocky, Future, Wiz Khalifa, Boy Better Know, 2 Chainz, Lil Uzi Vert, YG, Rick Ross, Joey Bada$$, Lil Baby, Kevin Gates, Nines, Amine, Headie One, Ski Mask The Slump God, Lil Pump, Rich The Kid, Nelly, Waka Flocka Flame, Cordae, Dave East, SL, Action Bronson, Fetty Wap, IAMDDB, Ms Banks, Flo Milli, and Yxng Bane.

Hip-Hop hitmaker Swizz Beatz has set a new global record – as the first American to secure a camel racing victory in the Middle East.
The top producer reveals he’s been quietly investing in his 12-strong group of speedy camels for some time. He launched his team, named Kaseem Abu Nasser, during the coronavirus pandemic, and he won his very first race last week in Saudi Arabia.
Swizz Beatz, real name Kaseem Dean, was celebrating again just 24 hours later as another of his camels landed first place in a competition.
Speaking to Variety after his first win, he said, “The race was at 5.15 AM my time, which means that I haven’t been to sleep since yesterday. Once the race was over, the adrenaline started pumping all over again…I’ve been on a cloud of excitement ever since.”
The musician admits he was especially proud because his stable is based in the Saudi Arabian capital of Riyadh, and the camel which emerged victorious on Thursday is called Nicole, after his daughter.
Swizz Beatz has named camels after each of his loved ones, including wife Alicia Keys, and his early racing success has won him praise from his rap pals Jay-Z and Nas.
“Jay wrote this morning to congratulate me and said, ‘Godd**n, we’re really global now,'” he shared. “Nas phoned right after him to do likewise.”
And now Swizz Beatz is eager to introduce camel racing to new audiences across the world and educate them on an interesting part of Middle Eastern culture.
“What I like about camel racing is that people could be familiar with the concept from horse racing, but in its purest form, wouldn’t it be nice to make it a goal, to go and see it in its natural setting? Or a bucket list item? Go to a desert, experience it for real…?” he said. “That’s how I got here, and what brought me to a global mindset.”
Rapper Big Boi showed his appreciation to poll workers in Atlanta, Georgia over the weekend by ensuring they were rewarded for their efforts with hot meals.
The OutKast star teamed up with officials at delivery service Postmates and food charity World Central Kitchen on Saturday to set up serving stations for election aides in his hometown, as they braved the coronavirus pandemic to help residents cast their ballots early.
Big Boi’s kind gesture provided 150 meals for poll workers, who were treated to free plates of chicken and shrimp tacos.
Cardi B has called out fans on social media over claims that her favorite Hermes Birkin bags are “losing their value” due to their appeal to Black and Hispanic people.
In a video posted to her Instagram, the 28-year-old “Bodak Yellow” rapper slammed the tweets, which name-checked the star, insisting, “y’all don’t do this to these white celebrities”.
“So why is it that y’all gotta be asking us? What the f###?” she asked. “It just makes you want to brag like, ‘B**ch do you know who the f### you’re talking to?’ But no, I’m not even going to take it there.”
Cardi continued: “I find that really interesting because, first thing first, I definitely could get a bag. Actually, I got four bags today from the Hermes store.
“Another thing is that they’re saying we’re depreciating the value,” she continued. “Actually, we add value because when we mention brands in hip-hop, s### go up. And another thing is, why when a Black girl, why when a Hispanic girl (has) a bag you have to question it? ‘Oh is it fake?’ or ‘She’s a scammer’ or ‘She’s f###### a n#### for it’.
“There’s a lot of boss-ass b###### out here. There’s b###### that’s getting money out here,” insisted the “Kream” hitmaker.
He told supporters and the media, “She said she was pregnant, and for one month, and two months, and three months, we talked about her not having this child. She had the pills in her hand. When you take the pills, and if you take it, the baby’s gone.”
During a much-anticipated appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, Kanye recalled his meltdown in South Carolina, explaining, “I cried and was gut-wrenched and… I don’t even like to say out loud what I said in South Carolina but the idea of, you know, I am just trying to word what I want to say is safe and covers my family.”
West added, “People saw this clip of me crying and some people didn’t know what I was crying about. But I was crying about that there was a possible chance… that Kim and I didn’t make the family that we have today.
“That’s my most ‘family-friendly’ way to word that. And just, the idea of (abortion) just tears me up inside, that I was a part of a culture that promotes this kind of thing.”
West will challenge U.S. leader Donald Trump and Democratic opponent Joe Biden for the presidency at the polls next week on November 3rd.
O’Shea “Ice Cube” Jackson stated he did not want his Contract With Black America to become a political football tossed around for clout by the Republicans or the Democrats. Yet, that is exactly what has happened in the final days of this 2020 election season.
Donald Trump’s team struck first by suggesting that Ice Cube helped develop the president’s Platinum Plan for Black Americans and implied that the Hip Hop legend was backing Trump for re-election. Eric Trump, Donald’s son and campaign representative, even tweeted out a fake, photoshopped image of Cube and 50 Cent wearing Trump hats.
Ice Cube denied formally endorsing Trump as a presidential candidate in 2020, saying he was only interested in advancing his CWBA regardless of which party is in power. Additionally, the N.W.A member replied to Eric Trump’s now-deleted tweet by posting, “N#### please.”
Ice Cube also stated that he was open to meeting with representatives of Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden. According to the Big3 basketball league founder, Biden’s camp told him they would have to wait until after the general election before discussing his CWBA.
“Let me be crystal clear. That did not happen. I met with Ice Cube. We had a Zoom call. So I’m not telling you what other people did, I’m telling you what I did,” said Richmond about Cube’s statements that the Biden campaign wanted to wait until after November 3 to discuss his contract.
Richmond added, “We also had an earlier call with D. L. Hughley, Chris Paul, Kenny Smith, Snoop [Dogg], Jeezy – all of them. We did the exact same thing. We talked to them about things they would like to see in our plan to see what their thoughts were. We took notes. We changed our plan where we needed to change it. We added stuff we didn’t have it in there. We did the exact same thing with Ice Cube.”
The Tulane School of Law graduate went on to say that he liked the fact that Ice Cube is engaging in policy and his Contract With Black America was a good foundation but very broad. However, Congressman Richmond also pointed out that the CWBA did not address some vital issues such as Black maternal health.
“Our plan is very thorough. I won’t say he has a skeleton plan, but he has an outline of things that should be done. It’s not as comprehensive as our plan,” said Richmond. “And so that’s what we told him, and the offer to stay engaged was not, ‘We’ll talk to you after the election.’ It went like this: ‘Here’s my cell number. Anything else you want to talk about on this plan or anything you think we need to talk about further, just pick up the phone and call.'”
