Dr. Dre Sells His Mansion And Sets A New Record

(AllHipHop News) Dr. Dre has been making some big moves in the real estate business lately.

The producer is responsible for the careers of blockbuster artists like Snoop Dogg, Eminem, 50 Cent and Kendrick Lamar to name a few.

And now Dr. Dre’s long-term bet on a piece of property in Los Angeles has finally paid off.
According to reports, Dr. Dre has finally sold his lavish Woodland Hills mansion for $4.5 million.

The closing was almost $1 million less than the asking price the Death Row Records founder was seeking in July when the house came on the market.

But it’s still another come up for Dr. Dre, who scooped up the home a little over $2 million over 20 years ago.

The lucky buyer snagged a piece of property that includes eight bedrooms and 13 bathrooms, as well as amenities like a recording studio, a movie theater, an Olympic-sized pool, a huge 150-gallon fish tank.

According to Architectural Digest, the closing price of $4.5 million also set a record for home sales in the Woodland Hills area.

Dre, born Andre Young, has since moved on.

After he cashed out and sold his Beats By Dre brand to Apple for $3 billion, he bought Tom Brady’s old mansion for $40 million.

Dre, who has a net worth of over $800 million also bought up some waterfront property in Pacific Palisades for almost $3 million. He copped another mansion in Calabasas for $4.9 million in April.

6ix9ine Gets Ready To Rat On His Former Crew

(AllHipHop News) It’s been an interesting year for incarcerated rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine.

Most recently, the rapper’s bodyguard Crippy was sentenced to five years in prison after he was shot in the stomach during a fight inside of Philipe Chow in Manhattan.

Now, the “GUMMO” rapper is preparing to go to court and testify against his former crew, the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods.

In regards to the upcoming trial, prosecutors against the New York rapper and his co-defendants from the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods are looking to ask potential jurors if they care that 6ix9ine is a snitch.

The Blast obtained documents from federal prosecutors with a list of questions they’re planning to ask during jury selection.

The loaded questions are intended to gauge if people on the jury can be fair.
A section of the questioning will involve federal investigators and cops who are handling “confidential informants” similar to Tekashi.

While 6ix9ine isn’t actually on trial regarding this case, he will be a cooperating witness.
So both the prosecutors and the defense will be looking out for how possible jury members answer.

One of the questions asks: “Do you have any strong feelings about confidential informants that would affect your ability to be fair and impartial in this case?”

Another question reads: “You may hear testimony in this case from cooperating witnesses, that is, witnesses who at one time were involved in illegal activity, but who have now pled guilty to crimes and are testifying on behalf of the Government in the hope of receiving a lower sentence.”

Judge Says $5 Million Lawsuit Over Cardi B.’s Raunchy Mixtape Cover Can Proceed

(AllHipHop News) Cardi B has lost her bid to dismiss a lawsuit over a tattoo on the cover of her “Gangsta B##ch Music Vol. 1” mixtape.

Kevin Brophy, Jr. has claimed the man o##### pleasuring the rap star in the photo has skin art on his back of a tiger battling a snake that resembles a design he has, and he is demanding $5 million in damages for the violation of his right of publicity.

Cardi B has maintained the suit isn’t worth her time, but now she has to face it head-on after U.S. District Court Judge Cormac Carney rejected her motion to dismiss.

The judge has ruled Brophy has a plausible claim for the use of his likeness without consent.

“Defendants argue that Plaintiff’s claim fails because he fails to allege that his face was visible or his name was used,” Carney writes. “Defendants, however, cite no authority for the proposition that a commercial misappropriation claim requires the use of the plaintiff’s face or name. Plaintiff here alleges that his tattoo is part of his likeness because it is unique and distinctive. People, in fact, purportedly instantly recognize Plaintiff by his tiger snake tattoo.”

He adds, “Whether the Gangsta B##ch cover is sufficiently transformative to obtain First Amendment protection is a question of fact.”

It’s the “Bodak Yellow” hitmaker’s second defeat in the case – she also failed to seal the transcript from a deposition earlier this year, during which she chewed out the plaintiff’s lawyers for taking her away from her daughter, Kulture.

“I’m really upset because I really have to be with my kid,” she raged. “All because of some bulls##t trying to get money and then $5 million. Are you f##king kidding me? That mixtape didn’t even make, not even a million dollars. I got real lawsuits with real s##t, and I got to deal with this bulls##t. This is four hours long taking away from my time, my job, my motherhood.”

Kodak Black Protege Jackboy Attempts To Eat Weed To Escape Cops

(AllHipHop News) It’s not every day someone eats weed to try to hide the drug from the cops.

Recently, Kodak Black’s protege Jackboy was pulled over and apparently, he felt the need to go the extra length to consume his marijuana.

He was busted in Pompano Beach, Florida for tinted windows on his BMW sedan — which apparently reeked of weed.

When the officer approached the rapper, he noticed Jackboy was chewing something in his mouth.

When authorities ordered him to get out of the vehicle, they also asked him to open his mouth.

To their dismay, his mouth was filled with ganja. After proceeding to spit out the saliva-covered bud, police arrested him for possession and tampering with physical evidence.
