Machine Gun Kelly Has Issue With Whining Celebrities

Machine Gun Kelly has taken aim at his over-sensitive pop star peers, who “cry about everything as a marketing tool.”

The rap-rocker is tired of listening to whining celebrities feeling sorry for themselves, insisting many of them have nothing to complain about.

The star, real name Colson Baker, refused to name names but it was pretty clear who he was talking about when he addressed fans in a Kerrang! video chat – and he has no sympathy for them.

“Some musicians are honest… they’re honestly annoying,” the ‘Bad Things’ hitmaker said. “They’re f##king cry(ing) about everything as a marketing tool and leave no space for people like me, who are like, ‘Yo, I actually never f##king cry about s##t that I wanna cry about, but here I am today ready to cry about some s##t’. But I won’t do it because you f##ked the whole landscape up because you’re f##king crying and went to your label with a marketing campaign like, ‘Hey, here’s my strategy, I’m gonna f##king tweet every day about how much I f##king hate myself and how sad I am and rack up the sympathy vote’.

“If I’m such an inspiration to somebody, as sad as I am, aren’t I supposed to show that there’s resilience in that sadness? Aren’t I supposed to show that you’re supposed to smile through it? I know the internet’s great, but it doesn’t need to necessarily be the form of how I’m going to let my diary out.”

Dr. Dre Makes Offer To Pay Wife’s Expenses…With Conditions

Dr. Dre has won another battle in his messy divorce – a judge has rejected his estranged wife’s request for $1.5 million to help her cover expenses.

Nicole Brown’s lawyers were in court on Thursday, insisting their client needs the cash to upgrade security at her home in Malibu, California after receiving death threats.

But the judge overseeing the case denied the claim after noting she had already dismissed security her husband was paying for.

Brown claimed Dre had threatened to fire the security guards if they didn’t follow his orders, and she wanted her own people in charge of her safety and welfare.

Meanwhile, the N.W.A. founder’s divorce lawyer, Laura Wasser, told the judge he is still willing to pay all of Nicole’s expenses pending the divorce, including security – but it can’t cost more than what he was paying, according to TMZ.

Nicole is also fighting for $5 million to cover lawyers’ fees.

The judge had already agreed to consider the request following a hearing in January and on Thursday the lawmaker dismissed a request to bring the hearing forward to this month.

Q Da Fool Is Serving ‘Dope Ona Spoon’

Q Da Fool isn’t worried about the fame, he’s creating music for his dedicated fanbase. Growing up in the Prince George County area of Maryland, real name George Hundall got his start as part of rap collective Pakk Boyz Gang before turning his focus to his solo career. Having gone through the ups and downs that come with life in the streets, which includes run-ins with the law and multiple jail sentences, Q makes music inspired by real-life experiences — pouring his heart and soul into his raps.

Speaking on his upbringing int he DMV, Q states, “Everything was good. As you get older, you start making bad decisions. You gotta deal with the bad decisions ever since.”

Now signed to Roc Nation, Q raps about his come up, creating bangers chock full of motivation and game for all those who listen. Beyond creating music for people to relate to, Q isn’t afraid to step outside the box

He proudly reps his own Rich Shootas label, which he hopes will one day become the next Cash Money or Bad Boy. Earlier this year, he landed a standout feature with Shoreline Mafia on “Gangsta & Sippas,” which had us lit all the way from the West Coast to the East Coast.

Now, he returns with his new single “Frozen,” holding fans over until the release of his forthcoming debut album Dope Ona Spoon.

AllHipHop: You just released “Frozen,” who or what inspired this one?

Q Da Fool: It’s going crazy, they f##king with it. It’s moving fast in the DMV, everybody’s eating it up. Just to give my fans new music. It’s more inspiration behind the DMV, giving them something new.

AllHipHop: Do you play CoD or just NBA 2K?

Q Da Fool: I just play 2K, that’s it. 2K and Grand Theft Auto. It’s a basketball game, I like the competition.

AllHipHop: You have Peewee as a feature on your forthcoming debut, he influenced a lot of the artists out now.

Q Da Fool: I’ve been listening to Peewee since I was young forreal, so I had to get him on my album. I sent him the song, I went down to A to do the video. It was lit, we linked up. We turned the video up. Peewee got his own little strand called Sprinklez. I got to smoke on that, that s##t was pressure. It was cool, we were politickin’.

AllHipHop: How much are you smoking in a day?

Q Da Fool: An ounce. It be more than a gram so probably 16 or 17 joints.

AllHipHop: How’s the weed in the DMV?

Q Da Fool: There’s really no dispensaries. The weed be good though, we still be having California weed.

AllHipHop: 3 things you need in the studio?

Q Da Fool: A good vibe, some good weed, and me. That’s it, that’s all I need. I don’t drink no liquor. I don’t like liquor.

AllHipHop: You don’t sip either?

Q Da Fool: Nah, not forreal forreal. Sometimes.

AllHipHop: Where’d you get the title, Dope Ona Spoon?

Q Da Fool: It’s something I’d started when I came home from jail. I always said I was Dope Ona Spoon, so I stuck with it. I knew I wanted to drop a tape called that, but I ended up making it my album.

AllHipHop: You came up with the concept in jail?

Q Da Fool: Yeah, I was locked up when I was 18. I came home when I was 20, I’ve been home 3 years now. I’m 23 now.

AllHipHop: What was going through your head behind bars the last time?

Q Da Fool: I’d come home and get turned up more than I did the last time. I was more focused on not getting high, being around a whole bunch of friends. Really doing me, staying true to myself.

AllHipHop: How’d you link with Mulatto?

Q Da Fool: Through my management, him reaching out and knowing other people’s manager. She’s hard. I really don’t be working with female artists like that. It’s not that many female artists in the DMV, so I wasn’t even thinking like that. He put me on, said I should do that. We about to do a video and link up. We want to do a video.

AllHipHop: What do you like about her?

Q Da Fool: She’s young, she’s hard. She gives you them vibes, she’s next up forreal.

AllHipHop: You actually went to high school with Rico Nasty, how was that?

Q Da Fool: Growing up, s##t we was cool. We was in art class together, we always used to talk. Art class was the class before lunch, that’d be the last class I go to then I wouldn’t go back to school. I’d skip. We’re always cool.

AllHipHop: What was it like seeing her career skyrocket the way it did?

Q Da Fool: Man, that sh-t hot. That sh-t had my mother talking about it. When I was locked up, she kept telling me about it: “Rico Nasty doing this, Rico Nasty doing that.” She definitely made everybody proud. Now we’ve got to take it to a whole ‘nother level, that’s how I be looking at it.

AllHipHop: What keeps you back home in the DMV?

Q Da Fool: My kids, my family. Where I’m from, that’s really what’s keeping me here. Other than that, I be trying to leave every now and then.

AllHipHop: Would you ever move?

Q Da Fool: Yeah, for sure. I’m trying to move now. I’m just waiting for my kids to get bigger. I want to really be there for them while they’re young, help my baby mother. Now they’re getting big, so now I can move around with them.

AllHipHop: How old are the twins now?

Q Da Fool: They’re 2 years old. They know how to ride hoverboards. They know how to talk, all that. I’ve got another son. Real cute, he’s only 7 months. I’m waiting for him to get a lil older too, I’ma still move around though.

AllHipHop: Biggest lesson you learned in fatherhood?

Q Da Fool: Being patient. Everything’s not about yourself, you’ve got to think about the kids most of the time. You gotta be there.

AllHipHop: They bump your music?

Q Da Fool: For sure. I don’t know their favorite song yet, but they definitely bump every song. They’re down for anything. They know the words to a couple songs from playing it everyday, they be crazy. They be trippin’.

AllHipHop: How’d you link with Shoreline Mafia on “Gangstas & Sippas”?

Q Da Fool: Ohgeesy be f##king with everybody, he be tapping in. He don’t just got one ear, he be tapping into every city. He was f-cking with me, we DM’ed and locked in. That’s my real life brother. That sh-t ain’t nothing, we got more hits. He put me on his tape, I put him on my tape. That’s the type of time we’re on. That’s my brother right there.

AllHipHop: That’s such a West Coast rap record.

Q Da Fool: For sure. Shout out Fenix too, that’s my brother. I f##k with all them, they’re all cool. I didn’t even know it was a Too $hort record till they told me. They got me hip on that, that’s even harder though. That’s why I f##k with them, they be giving me these big opportunities.

AllHipHop: Greatest memory from being on tour with them?

Q Da Fool: Man, that’s between us! We turnt. Them n—-s be turnt up. They definitely know how to turn up, them n—-s so crazy. That tour was so crazy. The whole tour was lit. The craziest thing was the end of the tour, they let all the fans come out and shoot the video in the parking lot. They brought their plaques, that was hard.

AllHipHop: What’s your favorite song to perform?

Q Da Fool: Any song. I really don’t have a favorite song. My fans like “Guns & Bells,” “Tell,” “Drive For Us.” Those be all the songs but I f##k with every song, they all hard to me.

AllHipHop: Are you still reading books?

Q Da Fool: Yeah, I’m still reading. I read Lorton Legends the other day, that’s the latest book I read.

Q Da Fool: It’s about a jail made out here [DMV area] that everybody went to. It got torn down. You can Google it, a lot of stuff happened back there like around 9/11.

AllHipHop: How did you find this book?

Q Da Fool: Everybody from the DMV, folks used to get locked up in the Lorton penitentiary. It became my focus to talk about that when I was a kid, so I read the book.

AllHipHop: Did you pick up reading in jail?

Q Da Fool: Yeah for sure, from being bored. Needing something to pass time. I be reading every now and then. I gotta read a book, especially when I’m bored. I really like reading gangster books. If I see something on my timeline or see someone post something, I might go buy the book.

AllHipHop: Talk about your drip, do you have a love for fashion ?

Q Da Fool: I’m not really too hard on fashion. Only time I really need to dress like that is when I’m doing videos. Other than that, I do me. I don’t really care about s##t like that. I’ve got to be fly, but I’m not one of those people who want them shoes everybody got.

AllHipHop: What’s the last tattoo you got?

Q Da Fool: It’s right here [gestures to chin], it says “fool.” I be trying to do s##t I haven’t seen other people do.

AllHipHop: Did your parents trip over the face tats?

Q Da Fool: Hell nah, my folks different. My mother’s different. She doesn’t encourage it, but she’s not trippin’ off it.

AllHipHop: What does she think of your rap career?

Q Da Fool: She loves it. She got Q Da Fool tatted on her neck, not my real name. That’s how I knew I had to do it.

AllHipHop: Any goals for yourself at this point in your career?

Q Da Fool: To make good music that my friends and fans love, keep accomplishing stuff I haven’t ever done. Not really tripping off the numbers, I want to always be better. Make a fire album. Make history.

Conway The Machine Says “No More Features”

Conway The Machine just dropped his latest album, but he has made a bee-line for some reason. From King to a GOD is probably the best album that Conway has produced thus far and certainly won’t be the last. The album was dope and has received universally high marks from critics. Part of the reason it was dope were the features from people like Method Man, Flee Lord, Lloyd Banks, Havoc and Dej Loaf. But, when it comes to features for others, Conway isn’t doing it. I am not sure what brought this one, but he seems angry. I bet some small time rapper upset the Buffalo rapper! I know how that can be sometimes. LOL!

Here is what he said on social media…tell me what you think.

What’s The Real Deal With Donald Trump And Covid-19?

Donald Trump got Da Rona! And his wife Melania Trump does too! What do we have here today, and what does it mean in the grand perspective!?

At face value, it seems like all of Donald Trump‘s recklessness has come to a head, a really BIG HEAD. He has refused to wear a mask, held large scale events absent social distancing, and joked Joe Biden for not wearing a mask just this week in the presidential debate. The ghost of Herman Caine is smirking. So that leaves us with some questions. Why are they telling us the truth now?

Herman Caine

Personally, I think they have had the Rona already and have not told anybody. Obviously, I have no proof but that is just a hunch! What we do know, is that at least a few days ago Melania Trump did have coronavirus and continued to travel. That’s right, folks, Trump continued to tour despite knowing he had coronavirus! He came right into New Jersey! Donald Trump is failing us, America. But let’s go further.

Just this week, Donald Trump blew the debate in such a major way that the polls dipped insanely! He is losing! On the other side, Joe Biden saw his biggest fundraising efforts right after the debate, breaking the previous record that was sent when he asked Kamala Harris to be his vice president. Second of all, Melania Trump was found to be bashing our beloved Christmas holiday, separated families, and other classless stuff. (It was a setup, but that’s the game!) It sure doesn’t paint her in a good light where she seems to be a helpless victim of a draconian oligarch. She seems, and admits, that she is just like her husband. They are in this together. She is a Russian insurgent right in the White House! Let me stop before the Alphabet Boys come to my door.

So while this seems to be a conspiracy theory, there appears to be a reason behind the full disclosure that white folks president (my president is Black) and first lady have coronavirus, COVID-19, and Dat Rona! It appears to be a plea for sympathy, deflecting the onslaught of bad press, or maybe just to blow the whole election completely because he is losing.

What do you think?

Time for the Gmac Cash!

Tyga Shows The “Goods” On OnlyFans, Amber Rose Promises To Do It Too!

Tyga went and did it. Just as Blac Chyna was revealed as the top seller on OnlyFans, with a whopping $20 million a month, Tyga isn’t about to be outdone. According to reports, he is showing all his goods in a recent  OnlyFans post. I literally don’t know how the platform works, but clearly people are making money. Tyga literally showed his private parts on OnlyFans in the interest of getting more subscribers to his channel.

I will spare you all the details, but the women are really going hard out there. I admit women are like “Don’t nobody wanna see that!” Tyga is 30-years old. I guess…he’s not about to start working at a bank. He’s gotta get this money! Now, I realize why he was trending on Twitter. I need to look at that whenever it happens.

Only Fans where amateur sex workers charge for adult content! I am thinking I wanna see Amber Rose or Trina. Like Tyga, Amber promises to show us everything! Whoo Whoo! In a promo video, Amber wore a tiny thong to hook us in. “Here’s a lil freebie hit the link to see EVERYTHING 🤤👅👀,” she said on IG. These people are pros!

https://www.instagram.com/p/CFxbXdDnaBU/

Amber is catching some slack, because she is the mother of two boys. These days, that does not matter…but it is something that gives some of us pause. She gotta get it how she lives. But, the internet is…giving her the business! The BUSYNESS!

Run The Jewels Tap Zack De La Rocha, Eric Andre & More For Televised “Holy Calamavote” Concert

Atlanta’s Michael “Killer Mike” Render and New York City’s Jaime “El-P” Meline were responsible for one of the most critically-acclaimed Hip Hop albums of 2020. Many listeners viewed RTJ4 as the perfect soundtrack for the civil unrest, economic uncertainty, and political strife that has consumed America over the last 10 months.

The duo is now preparing to present a televised concert special on Adult Swim. After the production was temporarily suspended due to a health situation involving a crew member, Run The Jewels’ “Holy Calamavote” has been rescheduled for Saturday, October 17 at Midnight ET/PT.

El-P and Mike invited several singers to take part in the event. RTJ4 contributors Zack de la Rocha, Mavis Staples, and Josh Homme will be present at “Holy Calamavote.” Eric Andre, the host of Adult Swim’s The Eric Andre Show, was named the official Master of Ceremonies. More guests are expected to be announced.

“Holy Calamavote” will be the first time Run The Jewels performs all of the tracks off the RTJ4 album. Besides being a celebration of the pair’s fourth studio LP, they are also using the presentation as a call to action for United States citizens to participate in the upcoming election on November 3. Viewers will be prompted to pledged to vote and will have the opportunity to donate to the nonpartisan American Civil Liberties Union.

Jay-Z & Meek Mill’s Reform Alliance Celebrate Legislative Win With Passing Of California’s Probation Reform Law

On September 30, California Governor Gavin Newsom signed a series of bills into law the reform the state’s criminal justice, juvenile justice, and policing systems. In particular, AB 1950 caps probation terms to a maximum of one year for misdemeanor offenses and two years for felonies.

“Americans across the country took to the streets this summer rightfully demanding more and better of our criminal justice system – and of ourselves,” said Governor Newsom in a statement. “We heard those calls for action loud and clear and today are advancing reforms to improve policing practices by ending the carotid hold and requiring independent investigations in officer-involved shootings. We are also taking important steps to break the school-to-prison pipeline.”

Newson continued, “Still, we can and must do more. Working with our youth, faith and community leaders, law enforcement, the Legislature and countless others demanding change, my Administration remains committed to the important work ahead to make our criminal and juvenile justice systems fairer and safer for all Californians.”

With the enactment of AB 1950 into law, the REFORM Alliance is claiming its first major legislative accomplishment. The criminal justice reform organization worked with the legislation’s primary sponsor, Assemblywoman Sydney Kamlager-Dove (D-Los Angeles), to push AB 1950 through the California legislature this session.

“I want to thank Governor Newsom for his leadership in signing AB 1950, the most transformative probation bill in this country to date,” said REFORM Alliance founding partner Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter in a statement. “This is a first step that I hope introduces a wave of much needed change through the country.”

Jay-Z is part of a REFORM Alliance team that also includes Hip Hop artist Meek Mill (Co-Chair), Philadelphia 76ers partner Michael Rubin (Co-Chair), CNN commentator Van Jones (CEO), New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft (Founding Partner), and Vista Equity Partners Chairman/CEO Robert Smith (Founding Partner).

“This is exactly why we created REFORM – to change laws and create a smarter criminal justice system focused on rehabilitation and redemption all while keeping communities safe,” said Michael Rubin. “We’re grateful for Governor Newsom and Assemblywoman Sydney Kamlager-Dove’s commitment to making such meaningful change in California and we hope it sets a necessary precedent for state leaders across the country.”

Van Jones added, By signing AB 1950 into law, Governor Newsom has further cemented his legacy as a champion for justice, redemption, and opportunity. In a year that has been so challenging and difficult for so many, this reform marks a bright spot that will lead to better outcomes for individuals and families across California. I cannot thank the Governor enough for supporting this legislation. I look forward to working with him to make the measure even stronger and more meaningful in the coming year.”

Megan Thee Stallion Drops “Don’t Stop” Video Featuring Young Thug Ahead Of ‘SNL’ Performance

Megan Thee Stallion is back with a brand new record. “Don’t Stop” featuring Atlanta’s Young Thug landed overnight. A music video for the collaboration was also published on YouTube.

Colin Tilley was behind the camera for the “Don’t Stop” visuals. He is the same veteran filmmaker who directed Cardi B’s record-breaking, controversy-causing “WAP” video which also featured Megan.

The Houston Hot Girl released “Don’t Stop” one week after Tory Lanez dropped his Daystar album. Megan Thee Stallion publicly named the Canadian citizen as the person responsible for her suffering gunshot wounds to her feet. On his LP, Lanez subtly denied shooting the rapstress in a Hollywood Hills, California neighborhood on July 12 without providing a lot of details about the incident.

Megan is set to be the musical guest on the season 46 premiere of Saturday Night Live. The forthcoming episode of the late-night sketch comedy program will air this weekend with comedy legend Chris Rock serving as the host. This will be the first SNL to broadcast from NBC’s Studio 8H since the COVID-19 pandemic shut down production in March.

21 Savage Talks Meeting With Jay-Z & Beyoncé After Being Detained By ICE

Shéyaa Bin “21 Savage” Abraham-Joseph became one of the faces of immigration reform when the London-born rapper was taken into custody by the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement in 2019. The U.S. government claimed 21 Savage was in the country unlawfully because his non-immigrant visa had expired after coming to America as a child.

According to reports at the time, Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter hired attorney Alex Spiro to help Abraham-Joseph fight possible deportation back to the United Kingdom. Jay-Z’s Roc Nation management/record company publicly supported the Atlanta resident as well. Carter called the ICE arrest “an absolute travesty.”

21 Savage recently sat down with Big Bank and DJ Scream’s Big Facts podcast to promote his new Savage Mode II project with Metro Boomin. The 27-year-old Grammy winner also spoke about meeting with Jay-Z after the billionaire Hip Hop mogul helped him with his immigration situation.

“When I got out, I pulled up on Jay-Z at his house. Him and Beyoncé were in there,” recalled Savage. “We were kicking it. He a regular n-gga. When I first got out, I texted him like, ‘I’mma pay you back.’ He was like, ‘I don’t want your money.’ He said, ‘Pay me back by being great.’ So I pulled up on him, chopped it up, and just thanked him because he ain’t have to do that sh-t.”

[embedyt] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xPZfe3si_MM[/embedyt]

21 Savage also addressed associates that did not back him while he was locked up. He added, “When I got out I really started to see all the love. I was like, ‘Damn, that’s crazy.’ And I noticed all the fake love too, all the n-ggas who didn’t show love. So if you wondering why I’ve been stiff on you since I got out, it’s ’cause you a b-tch, and you did not say ‘free me.'”

The Big Facts conversation also featured 21 Savage discussing police brutality, classic R&B music, financial literacy, COVID-19, and several other topics. Savage Mode II dropped today (October 2). The Metro Boomin-produced project features Drake, Young Thug, and Young Nudy.

6ix9ine Reportedly Hospitalized For Overdosing On Diet Pills & Caffeine

Tekashi 6ix9ine has been relatively quiet on social media after his sophomore album failed to live up to the commerical success he promised his fans. Tattletales only moved 53,000 first-week units. The controversial rapper/self-described internet troll is now back in the headlines.

According to the gossip blog The Shade Room, 6ix9ine (born Daniel Hernandez) was hospitalized earlier this week due to an overdose of diet pills and caffeine. He apparently claimed that a mixture of two Hydroxycut weight loss supplements and McDonald’s coffee caused the medical scare.

DJ Akademiks, a close associate and musical collaborator with Tekashi, addressed the news on his Instagram page. The Everyday Struggle host wrote, “This is true.. lol he finally realizes he needs a trainer not no CVS products. Talked to him today tho. He was on the track running [and] in good spirits. He’ll be back soon.”

Following 6ix9ine’s apparent pharmaceutical mistake, he is said to be “at home and doing fine.” The 24-year-old gangster rapper-turned-government witness is currently on probation after pleading guilty to nine federal charges and taking a plea deal in the highly-publicized racketeering trial of the Nine Trey Bloods in New York. Under his plea deal, Hernandez is not allowed to use illegal drugs or substances.

Donald Trump & Melania Trump Test Positive For COVID-19

This article is not specifically connected to Hip Hop culture, but when the President of the United States announces he has contracted a potentially deadly disease that news is relevant to the entire world. Overnight, President Donald Trump revealed he and First Lady Melania Trump have COVID-19.

“Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER!” tweeted Trump at 12:54 ET. The 74-year-old politician, who is considered medically obese, is in the highest risk category for serious complications from coronavirus.

The announcement rocked the political landscape as POTUS watchers and journalists began analyzing how Trump’s coronavirus diagnosis will affect the presidential race, national security, and the economy. Stock futures for the S&P 500, Nasdaq 100, and Dow Jones Industrial Average fell dramatically after Trump disclosed he contracted coronavirus.

At least 200,000 people in the United States have died as a result of COVID-19. Over 7 million people in this country contacted the virus. Donald Trump and Melania Trump were among the 40,000 Americans to test positive over the last 24 hours. Twenty-seven states are showing upward trends in infection rates.

For much of the pandemic, President Trump publicly downplayed the seriousness of the virus even though he admitted to Washington Post associate editor Bob Woodward, on the record, that the disease was deadly. In addition, he referred to the coronavirus outbreak as a hoax, and at this week’s presidential debate he mocked Democratic nominee Joe Biden for wearing a mask.

Trump also suggested using the antimalarial drug chloroquine or household disinfectants to treat COVID-19. Members of the medical community forcefully pushed back against both of those recommendations from Trump because they were viewed as highly dangerous remedies that do not combat coronavirus.

Several of the President’s aides and secret service agents have tested positive for COVID-19 since the pandemic began. White House adviser Hope Hicks recently tested positive for the coronavirus as well. Trump’s insistence on having in-person, large-crowd political rallies caused a lot of concern.

Experts worried the rallies, which typically did not adhere to social distancing and mask-wearing guidelines, could serve as superspreader events. Former Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain, 74, died in July from COVID-19 complications after attending a Trump rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma the previous month.

Atlanta Surpasses 2019 In Homicides After Over 60 Cops Retired Or Resigned

The global pandemic has not stopped Atlanta natives from wilding in those violent streets.

With two-thirds of the year over, the current citywide total of 101 homicides has already surpassed last year’s number. Thursday’s, (September 30th) two murders in Southeast Atlanta pushed the number over the 2019 mark.

According to the Atlanta-Journal Courier, this may be a result of a massive law enforcement “exodus.” There have been 37 Atlanta police officers to retire or resign in August alone. The number adds to the 26 that left the force in July.

This all seems to happen after the Police Chief resigned after Rayshard Brooks was shot and killed on her watch in June.

Brooks had fallen asleep drunk in his car while being parked outside of a Wendy’s. Cops came to investigate the situation and made the questionable decision to arrest him so that he would not drive drunk.

Brooks resisted, insisting that he would never drive while intoxicated and offered to walk home. A tussle ensued and after the young father grabbed a Taser from one of the officers, he was shot and killed.

In addition to Chief Erika Shields stepping down, the officer in question, Garrett Rolfe, was fired. Many citizens demanded change, a request that resulted in days of protest.

Many officers felt unvalued, citing that Brooks tried to harm one of their own.

Both sides felt unheard. Mayor Lance Bottoms is stuck in the middle trying to honor both valuable members of the Atlanta community.

Two things happened: the cries to defund Atlanta’s police force erupted and the backlash from the city’s local #BlueLivesMatter is showing what a city without the security of the law looks like.

The summer has been violent and with police officers leaving the force in such numbers, the question must be asked, “Will their departures leave open opportunities for criminals to get buck wild?”

Courts Make Rich the Kid Pay Over $1 Million To Former Managers

Rich the Kid now knows the importance of showing up to his court dates. After blowing off a hearing involving his former manager, a judge is now holding him accountable for a hefty bill.

Reports are claiming that a California judge granted Blueprint Artist Management, the former management company for Rich the Kid, a default judgment. In total the “No Loyalty” rapper has to cough up $960,614 in damages + $143,696.28 in interest + $873 in costs, for a grand total of $1,105,183.28.

Originally, Blueprint Artist Management sued Rich the Kid, whose real name is Dimitri Roger, for $3.5 million claiming that he owed them for their services. The firm noted that they signed him three years ago (May 2017) to a potentially lucrative deal that would have allowed them to reap 20% of his gross income. Their grievance is that the emcee has not paid them $960,000 in commission + an additional $500,000. According to the complaint, Blueprint “repeatedly demanded the payment of its long-overdue Commissions” but Rich refused to pay them according to their agreement.

By not attending the court date, after being officially served, the judge awarded the team almost half of the request.

Rich the Kid recently dropped a new record called “G Wagon” with Tropico.

Kid Cudi Feared New TV Role Would Brand Him A MAGA Loving Trump Supporter

Rapper/actor Kid Cudi was unsure about portraying a supporter of controversial U.S. President Donald Trump on TV because he worried fans would mistake him for a real-life Republican.

The “Day ‘n’ Nite” hitmaker stars in “Call Me by Your Name” director Luca Guadagnino’s new series, “We Are Who We Are,” a coming-of-age drama about two American kids growing up on a fictional U.S. military base in Italy in 2016.

However, he had concerns about one particular scene early on in the series, as his character, Richard Poythress, the strong-willed officer father of one of the protagonists, excitedly unwraps a package containing two red caps bearing Trump’s 2016 campaign slogan, Make America Great Again.

“I read the scripts and at first I was taken aback, because I have my beliefs,” Kid Cudi told Esquire magazine of the storyline. “I’m not a Trump supporter. I don’t know if the world knows that, but I was just really concerned about what people may think.”

“I talked to Luca and it all made sense to me at the end of the day,” he continued of understanding the importance of the father/daughter bonding scene. “Look, it’s a character I’m playing and I was fully invested in that, you know?

“At the end of the day, I hope that people can accept that for what it is, and not go and be like, ‘Oh, s**t, Cudi’s a Trump supporter now – he’s wearing a MAGA hat.'”

Kid Cudi also feared his longtime friendship with former mentor and frequent collaborator Kanye West would make viewers think he really was a fan of Trump, as Kim Kardashian’s outspoken husband hasn’t been shy in his praise for the real estate mogul-turned-world leader, who is known for making racist, xenophobic, and/or misogynistic remarks.

“I thought some people would be foolish about it and be like, ‘Oh, he must’ve talked to Kanye’ or ‘Kanye must’ve got to him’ or some s**t like that,” Cudi explained of their relationship. “I think he knows where I stand (politically), and I think he doesn’t bring it up to me. We just don’t talk about it. I totally disagree with it; I think he knows that. And if he doesn’t know, he knows now.”

However, just because they don’t see eye-to-eye on politics doesn’t mean the “Westworld” actor isn’t still close with Kanye, who is actually running for the White House himself this year.

“That’s my brother. I’ll go on record: That’s my brother. I love him,” Kid Cudi stated. “But that doesn’t mean I’m going to agree with everything he fking says and he fking does, you know?”

Donald Glover Explains Why Third Child’s Birth Was So Intense

Actor and rapper Donald Glover quietly became a dad-of-three during the coronavirus lockdown.

The “Solo: A Star Wars Story” star has revealed he and partner Michelle White welcomed their third child together back in May in a new GQ interview with Michaela Coel.

Donald admits his joy as a new dad was short-lived as his baby boy was born as the Black Lives Matter movement swelled up following the death of George Floyd at the hands of cops in Minnesota.

“It was nuts,” he explains. “I was in the hospital bed. My son had just been born, like, an hour before, and I was watching the George Floyd video. It was such a weird moment. It was such an intense, weird moment, because I’m watching that video and it’s, like, eight minutes long, so you’re sitting there and I had just had this amazing, joyful, expanding moment.

“I don’t even know what, really, the word is to describe it. It was just expanding: the empathy and compassion and the terror and the joy of it.”

Glover reveals his son is named after his father, Donald Glover, Sr, who died in 2018.

The star, aka Childish Gambino, and his girlfriend first became parents in early 2016, when baby Legend was born, and Glover announced Michelle White was pregnant with their second child while accepting the award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series at the 2017 Emmys.

Houston Rapper Vibe God: “When I Drop, Lightning Strikes Hit The Ground”

With a name like Vibe God, the name speaks for itself. The Houston native describes himself as a matter of space, someone who’s “been walking this Earth trying to be one with everything.”

He states, “That’s how I can put it: anything I’m around, I’m adapting. That’s where I’m at. I don’t know where I’m going. The wind blowing’s anywhere and everywhere, I’m there adapting.”

The rising artist lives by the mantra: “when I drop, lightning strikes hit the ground.” With an unwavering passion and love for creating music, the “Lights Off” recording artist prides himself in doing everything independently for the time being. Having gone through the struggles that come with life, which includes surviving a car accident in which his Volvo flipped over 5 times and getting robbed and losing all his music, Vibe God is proof that as long as you stay positive and spread good vibes, you’re doing the right thing.

Most recently releasing his new single “Backend,” he continues to push his movement with Internet Candy while being a good father to his daughter Juney.

AllHipHop: You say when you drop, lightning strikes hit the ground. Can you expand on that?

Vibe God: It’s like power. That power comes from a honing space, I haven’t been moving around lately. I’m still at the spot, smoking, getting my mind right and tight. That’s the power. I’m not really in a rush to drop stuff, but I know what I have. Boom, I’m out here right now. I haven’t been in LA in the last 3 months. I came out here to do this, then I’m back gone.

AllHipHop: We could’ve done this virtual!

Vibe God: I’d like the experience better, that’s why I made it that way. We could do virtual anytime after this but the first initial vibe, that’s what I wanted to create.

AllHipHop: Being from Houston, what were you seeing growing up?

Vibe God: There’s a little of everything in Houston. I grew up with my grandparents, more the religious type vibe. Wasn’t really going outside too much, sheltered environment. On the flip side, we’re able to get outside and see some stuff going on you weren’t accustomed to seeing. It’s a little balance of how Houston was.

AllHipHop: Biggest influences coming up?

Vibe God: Mainly myself because I’m in a bubble. Not musically, but I used to look up to Wiz a lot. I actually got to meet him, which was cool. Coming up with my little team or putting my own stuff together, doing and building my own thing, looking at him do that. He’s the first one I watched to do the whole Taylor Gang vibe where it wasn’t so much of a competition, but everybody’s having fun. Enjoying themselves, smoking. Any time with a vibe, that’s what I generally wanted to create with what I had going on. Literally the only person I was looking towards for structure, not really music because I’m really good on that.

AllHipHop: At what point did you realize you could do music for a living?

Vibe God: When I first noticed things were happening. I’ve always done music way back then. It was never any force to do it, it was “oh it’s fun.” Even when people are telling you “it’s fun, that’s cool,” it got to a point where I was actually moving. I got to LA, I was in Houston, I went to Sweden. Music was doing things that other things couldn’t take me. I focused on staying with that and letting it bring whatever it brings to me. If it’s good, I stayed on it. If it wasn’t, I moved around from it.

AllHipHop: You released “Lights Off last year,” how have you evolved since?

Vibe God: “Lights Off” was a happy time, it was a happy place. I was meeting the Swedish, it was such a good feeling meeting somebody across the country yet we shared the same passion and same goals. Putting the video together at the beach in Venice, it was so lit! That was dope. We’re in the learning stage at that point, vibing together and trying to see. Obviously I went to Sweden after that, got to spend a couple months out there. It was the best feeling ever, that enhanced whatever we got going on. These projects coming will show the level’s increasingly going crazy, definitely some evolution in there.

AllHipHop: What is internet Candy?

Vibe God: Internet Candy gang, that’s the movement we created. We can call it the indie label, it’s something we literally created as far as fun. The kids always like candy, people like and eat candy. We had the Internet Candy where we’re putting out stuff like that on the internet and people are eating it up. We named my first project Internet Candy because that’s what we’re all about, throwing stuff out there and getting people to bite on it. It’s actually good music, that’s the catch of it. When you caught on, “oh yeah candy, you gon’ need that.”

AllHipHop: How was going to Sweden to record with Jonas?

Vibe God: Ah, Sweden! That’s literally my first place out the country. I got my passport 3 days before flying out. It was an experience. The flight sucked:16 to 17 hour flight to London then 3 more to Sweden. I hated the flight, but the experience was real good. Real humbling. The culture was a lot different. People genuinely showing love. I had an Airbnb there, stayed with a guy who’s hosting it. He’s from Arabia, man! The dopest host I ever came across. He’s cooking every day. “You need anything? Let me get you some coffee.” I couldn’t believe it, laughing and smiling everyday. It was a whole vibe because the love people be showing out there. The studio was great, for the 2 months we’re in there every day. It was dope, the food was great. Everything about Sweden was great.

AllHipHop: How long were you there for?

Vibe God: Almost 3 months. I made a good amount of music, we did another 20 to 30 songs. We actually pushed out 40 in a week when we first came. We did about 20 to 30 nice ones along with visuals, along with the festival show which was the real reason why I was out there. I got my first official booking in Sweden, so that’s how that came about. It was lit.

AllHipHop: Talk about getting robbed and losing all your music back in 2012. How did you bounce back?

Vibe God: Oh man, that was years ago. This was before Vibe God knew he was Vibe God. Right before, I was making so much music. I’m self-taught. I engineer, I produce on the side. I was doing my own little thing. I literally was pushing the issue with dropping music: “I need to put something out.” 2 days before I put music out, I was happy — then that happened. I got robbed, I lost all my stuff. They took everything, I literally lost everything. Didn’t have anything to my name, but I’d released music 2 days before. I was so happy. Damn, I’m glad I got that out because I was okay. I wasn’t even worried about my stuff. I only got one thing back out of 100 things gone, but I wasn’t worried. I was more happy I got the music out there, it didn’t get taken before I lost everything I ever worked on.

AllHipHop: What happened 3 years later when you crashed your Volvo in Houston?

Vibe God: My tire fell off on the freeway while I was doing 70 to 75. I was coming home from my partner’s birthday party who I came to LA with. I was picking him up. We came back from the club, I dropped everybody back at home. I dropped him off. I was going back home literally 10 minutes from my house, the tire came off on the freeway. Boom, I flipped 5 times. The tire was missing on the car. No traffic, no cars were coming. I drove my car on 3 wheels off to the side of the medium. Sat there until somebody got me. I was untouched, unhurt, nothing. I didn’t have a scratch.

AllHipHop: What can we expect music-wise?

Vibe God: New energy. New vibes. You got to really know the lifestyle and not just be around it. All the stuff that’s coming right now was definitely made during quarantine. Sitting in the house, nothing to do all the time, in the studio recording stuff. All this was made on the basis of everything we went through: Corona happening, Black Lives Matter, all this going on. Music was created through all that time, there’s so much power in that. Just be uplifted, it’s a feeling.

AllHipHop: Talk about being a father and your daughter Juney.

Vibe God: Juney! I just got off FaceTime with her. All I can think about is her. She’s 6 years old, so big and grown. She thinks she’s 18 already. That’s my baby, I think about her everyday. One of the hardest things being out here is she’s back at home in Houston, but I’ve made this a temp. Several years ago, I moved to LA. Been out here for 3 years now. At first, it was real hard because I wanted to be back home all the time to see her. I couldn’t make the groundwork I needed to make here with that going on so I told myself when I come out next time, I’ma do it right and better. I had to remember that my daughter’s my everything. I talk to her everyday, the love she gives me everyday is why I do what I do. As long as that’s in the back of my mind in every step, I’m okay to make the moves I choose to do.

AllHipHop: Does she know daddy’s a rapper?

Vibe God: Oh, she knows. She pulls my YouTube videos up, all my music. She can do all that. She calls me and tells me “I listened to your videos, I showed my friends.” She’s my big #1 supporter.

AllHipHop: Talk about spreading positivity and good vibes, with a love for cannabis too.

Vibe God: That’s all I’m about, I’m real big on that. My very reason for coming to LA was supporting my weed addiction. I love weed so much, I wanted to know more about it. The depths, the touching and the process. That’s why I’m in the mountains right now, growing stuff. I’m loving the way it makes me feel every day. I used to be in LA, on the scene a lot. Now I’m so off the scene, but in a very good space to breathe and work. I’m away from social media half the time because there’s no service up there. I got everything up there I need to work.

AllHipHop: Anything else you want to let us know?

Vibe God: We got the new single called “Your Reflection,” so dope. One of the joints from the upcoming project, dropping soon. It’s hot! It’s not what y’all used to, but definitely going to hit you in the chest.
