(AllHipHop Music) Kwame Katana was born and raised in York City, Pennsylvania. Kwame is a Hip Hop artist often compared to the likes of Fabolous, BiG L, J.Cole and etc. He is largely known for his fashion-forward style, his slick-talking word play, as well as his prolific song making capability. He often paints real-life pictures with his lyrics that, anyone from any background would have a hard not relating to it. Kwame’s unique blend of substance and swag, his music is where the modern-day hip hop and the golden era collide. He is truly what the game is missing.
(AllHipHop News) Tom Morello’s rap/rock supergroup Prophets Of Rage are parting ways following the surprise news of his Rage Against The Machine reunion.
However, it appears the group is no more as Morello, Commerford, and Wilk prepare to join forces with Rage Against the Machine singer Zach De La Rocha for a string of reunion shows in 2020.
Cypress Hill’s B-Real confirmed their split via Instagram telling followers: “I want to say thank you to the fans that supported Prophets of Rage for the time we’ve been rocking together.
“It’s been an honor to rock stages and people of all ages with these guys. It’s been a great time and great memories in a short time.”
“Rockin along side of Chuck and Tom has been amazing to say the least,” he added.
“It was fun while it lasted and I hope we left a big impression and that the music has been a source of inspiration for those that needed it. That was the purpose we got together. So I say to y’all stay informed, stay engaged and fight the good fight.”
B-Real’s post emerged a day after Rage Against the Machine announced its comeback.
The four-piece will return to the stage for the first time since 2011 in El Paso, Texas on March 26 and perform in New Mexico and Arizona, before heading to Indio, California in April to headline the 2020 Coachella festival.
(AllHipHop News) Singer Solange Knowles has dismissed rumors suggesting her marriage to director Alan Ferguson ended due to her infidelity.
The “Cranes in the Sky” hitmaker confirmed the end of their five-year union on Friday (November 1st) simply revealing the couple had decided to separate earlier this year.
While most followers were quick to shower Solange with love, others suggested another man had come between the two.
Fans pointed to a social media photo of Beyonce’s little sister posing with her former co-manager, John Bogaard, speculating about the nature of their relationship.
However, the musician has since shut down the gossip and issued an apology to Bogaard, who is white, for some of the racially-charged insults he had been subjected to online.
Sharing the image in question on her Instagram Stories timeline, she wrote, “Yo (thank you) @onvaction for bein the best co-manager for 5 years. Sorry the internetsss are so unkind n b lying. Go back to enjoying ya vacation.”
Solange was previously also married to her high school sweetheart Daniel Smith, the father of her 15-year-old son, Daniel Julez J. Smith Jr.
She was just 17 when they wed, and they divorced in 2007.
(AllHipHop News) Last night, Denzel Curry was in Georgia’s capital city for the Red Bull Music Festival Atlanta. The South Florida representative was hosting his Zeltron battle against Brooklyn’s Joey Bada$$.
Besides ATL, the wrestling-themed, five-round event will also hit other cities in 2020. Curry is taking his “Zeltron World Wide” series to Miami, Oakland, and New York City.
Curry is already promoting upcoming potential matches. He asked his nearly 400,000 Twitter followers which artists would they like to see step into the ring next. Users mentioned names such as Vince Staples, J.I.D, IDK, Danny Brown, Rico Nasty, and JPEGMAFIA.
“Red Bull Presents: Zeltron v Zombies” was the first edition of the lyrical bout. The “Ultimate” emcee and the Brooklyn-bred Hip Hop group Flatbush Zombies faced off in Miami last year.
(AllHipHop News) There are just eleven days until Tory Lanez releases the fifth installment in his Chixtape series. The Canadian crooner recruited veteran songstress Ashanti to serve as the cover girl for his forthcoming project.
Chixtape V is scheduled to hit DSPs on November 15. The collection of tunes, described as an official studio album, will pay homage to popular R&B classics from the 1990s and 2000s.
The first Chixtape mixtape came out in 2011. Lanez then let loose Chixtape II in 2014, Chixtape III in 2015, and Chixtape IV in 2017. Last year, Tory Lanez released two studio LPs: Memories Don’t Die and Love Me Now? The former album debuted at #3 on the Billboard 200 chart, and the latter opened at #4.
To help promote Chixtape V, Tory Lanez shared his personal phone number with his social media followers. Fans can text the Interscope recording artist at 305-930-8095.

Unfortunately, this year also saw Martinez suffer a very traumatic experience. The radio legend revealed to her 1 million Twitter followers and her 850,000 Instagram followers that she was involved in a serious crash.
“I’ve always believed in angels and mine was with me the other morning,” reads a statement from the 48-year-old New Yorker. “I was in a severe car accident and sustained a fractured lumbar and shattered vertebrae. I’m recovering and will be for some time, but I am extremely grateful to have the opportunity to do that,”
She continued, “Wanted you all to hear it from me first and know that although this is a difficult time, I am in the best spirits possible and determined to be back and better than ever soon! God bless and I deeply appreciate all love & prayers. ❤️.”
(AllHipHop News) One day in February 2017 shifted the landscape in modern Hip Hop. The release of Remy Ma’s “Shether” created the first effective c#### in Nicki Minaj’s armor.
Minaj dominated female rap for nearly a decade until that point. However, Remy’s biting diss track opened the door for other women to legitimately compete for the crown, evidenced by the fact that the Bronx emcee ended Nicki’s seven-year run as the BET Award’s Best Female Hip-Hop Artist winner that year.
Remy Ma connected with Hollywood Unlocked for an extensive two-part Q&A. The 90-minute conversation included the State of the Culture panelist discussing her career, motherhood, and the infamous lyrical battle against Nicki Minaj.
“I had great respect for what she was able to do and what she was able to achieve. When I came home [from prison] we had had a conversation where she actually reached out to me and we spoke,” said Remy about Nicki. “We had a real conversation. I was like, ‘Anything I say, they’re gonna say I’m coming at you. Anything you say, they’re gonna say you’re coming at me. We’re not gonna let it get to us.’ I thought that’s where we was at.”
Some music fans thought “Shether” just came out of nowhere. However, the song was actually a response to Nicki’s presumed subliminal shots at Remy on “Black Barbies,” Gucci Mane’s “Make Love,” and Jason Derulo’s “Swalla.”
Reminisce Mackie had previously talked about Minaj allegedly promoting negative press about her and scheming to prevent her from appearing at certain award shows. The “All The Way Up” hitmaker made those accusations on The Wendy Williams Show just days after “Shether” dropped. She expounded on her issues with the supposed industry antics while on Hollywood Unlocked.
“What led up to the whole ‘Shether’ thing was I just kept hearing so many things behind the scenes, and I didn’t understand. Why would you do this to me?” Remy expressed to Hollywood Unlocked host Jason Lee. “It was just like petty sh*t, just corny things… When I started seeing it with my own eyes, and people that I know wouldn’t lie to me, it was just like I didn’t understand: why would you do this?“
Remy continued, “It was one last straw that I felt like broke the camel’s back. I was already annoyed with everything that was going on. I was like, ‘As long as this is the way it is, nobody – not just me – no women are ever going to be able to succeed as long as this is how it is. If you don’t sound like this, if you don’t look like this, and if you’re not bowing down to her, we’re never gonna get nowhere. You know what? I don’t give a f*ck. Now, this is what we’re doing. Now, what we doing? Cause I’m with everything.'”
(AllHipHop News) A few weeks ago, it seemed as if Hip Hop was entering into Big Sean season. The G.O.O.D. Music rapper began releasing songs such as “Single Again” and “Bezerk” featuring A$AP Ferg and Hit-Boy.
Those new 2019 singles had some fans expecting a project to arrive soon. Sean recently spoke to Angie Martinez, and he talked about the delay in his upcoming fifth studio album which is tentatively titled Don Life.
“I wanted to give myself the proper amount of time to really just deliver something that I was super proud of,” said Big Sean when asked if he is putting a lot of pressure on himself over the project.
“Single Again” peaked at #64 on the Hot 100 and only spent 3 weeks on the chart. “Bezerk” debuted at #89 before falling off the tally the next week. Sean has seen greater success on the Billboard 200 album chart. 2015’s Dark Sky Paradise and 2017’s I Decided hit #1.
“I’m not here for the moment. I’m here for the longevity,” Sean told Martinez during a separate interview in New York City. “It’d be different if I had to capitalize off like one hit song or a one-hit-wonder type of vibe. I’ve seen a lot of people come and go, and I take pride in being an artist who tries new things. I evolve. I’m never scared to put any idea I have out there.”
(AllHipHop News) Meek Mill has become one of the most outspoken backers of prison reform and social justice initiatives. The Philadelphia-bred emcee went from fighting his own case in Pennsylvania to advocating for other people across the country.
Last night, Meek took to Twitter to bring awareness to Rodney Reed in Texas. A petition was launched to convince Governor Greg Abbott to stop Reed’s November 20th scheduled execution.
“16 days left and he will be executed for a crime he didn’t commit .. get more info here! #freerodneyreed,” tweeted Meek with a link to freerodneyreed.com.
Reed, an African-American, was found guilty by an all-white jury of the 1996 rape and murder of Stacey Stites. According to the #FreeRodneyReed website, Stiles and Reed had a consensual sexual relationship and the DNA evidence presented by the prosecution resulted from that relationship.
In addition, Stites’ fiancé, Jimmy Fennell, allegedly confessed to killing Stacey. Fennel was a police officer convicted of kidnapping and sexually assaulting another woman while he was on duty. He was the original prime suspect in the Stites case and apparently threatened to kill her over the affair with Reed.
“Mr. Reed’s execution is less than one month away, meaning Texas is frighteningly close to executing an innocent man,” said Bryce Benjet, Reed’s attorney. “Between the medical and scientific evidence, and multiple new, credible witnesses, the original case trial has been completely deconstructed and disproven.”
Kim Kardashian West has also spoken out on behalf of Rodney Reed. The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star called on Governor Abbott to stay the execution.
“PLEASE @GovAbbott. How can you execute a man when since his trial, substantial evidence that would exonerate Rodney Reed has come forward and even implicates the other person of interest. I URGE YOU TO DO THE RIGHT THING,” wrote Kardashian West on Twitter.

(AllHipHop News) There was a lot of interest in Kanye West’s latest body of work. Jesus Is King was met with mixed reviews, but the LP earned the Chicago native his 9th consecutive #1 album.
Jesus Is King premiered atop the Billboard 200 with 264,000 equivalent album units. The project pulled in 196.9 million audio streams which is the highest one-week streaming total in West’s career.
Those 197 million streams are the fourth-highest opening week total in 2019. Jesus Is King just trails Post Malone’s Hollywood’s Bleeding (365 million), Ariana Grande’s Thank U, Next (307 million), and Taylor Swift’s Lover (226 million).
With 9 straight No. 1 albums, West ties Eminem for the most consecutive Number Ones. He has also joined Eminem, Rolling Stones, Garth Brooks, Madonna, and Drake in sixth place on the list of most Billboard 200 chart-toppers.
He was quickly carried backstage, and was tended to by emergency services, although they did not transport him to a hospital.
A representative for the 26-year-old, real name Dexter Tiewon Gore Jr., has since confirmed his mid-show incident was due to epilepsy, although they have assured fans he is on the mend.
“We wish Famous Dex a speedy recovery after his epileptic seizure last night,” read a statement.
“He is currently in good spirits and hopes to return back to finishing his new album. He thanks all his fans for their prayers and well wishes.”
Dex, who is signed to fellow rapper Rich the Kid’s label, Rich Forever Music, has been working on the follow-up to his 2018 debut album, Dex Meets Dexter.

During an interview on MSNBC’s “The Beat,” Rap Snacks founder James Lindsay and Master P chatted about the RAP Snacks expansion.
Promoted as “the Official Snack of Hip Hop,” Rap Snacks continue to expand even bigger in both reach and popularity.
“Rap Snacks is so important to us because it’s for the culture. This is something that James visualized years ago that nobody believed, and was able to bring this to life,” Master P said. “This is for our culture, this is about building an empire. This is building an entrepreneurship., Most important, giving back to the community. Educating our people on ownership.”
(AllHipHop Rumors) What is it about celebrities? Do they feel – some of them – that they are a gift from God above? Do they think they are somehow better than the rest of us? I cannot speak for one Summer Walker, but these are the vibes I feel we are getting these days. The singer recently took to social media…the same social media where she said she doesn’t like taking showers…to suggest strongly that she is leaving this game of music. Now you and I know she ain’t going NOWHERE! But, it seems like she is cracking up a bit, like an egg with silly putty in it.
na fr though I’ve decided y’all don’t deserve me lol I knew from day one I was to real for this s###. y’all can have the music & ima just head out. f### the interviews, photo shoots, videos, & really the shows too. I’ll finish this tour out tho. I’m just a regular person, nothing more. lol people got this fame s### f##### up. I been me from day one, I’m not bout to start acting different, talking different, treating people different, or looking different. people really expect too much from you. Everyday / everything isn’t a miss America bad b#### contest, & I don’t feel the need to put others down to stay relevant. people really just DISCONNECTED…. hiding behind these apps, these filters, the clothes, the makeup, the hair lol a lot of y’all need to step back & get into yourselves.. from a different perspective. take the same amount of time that you normally do to prepare/improve your physical but apply it to your spirit & become COMFORTABLE with the real you, whoever that may be as long as your not hurting anyone. That same amount of time you take to chase the “bag” try putting that same amount of energy into patience, acceptance, understanding, self awareness, self love but I know no one gives a s### about what I’m saying so yeah. peace love & light ✌
HER appreciates my support!!!!
I think artists forget this is the game you signed up for and these people are the ones that got you to where you are. Now, if you don’t appreciate the fans, the media (also complicit in your success) or God above then you may think you did all of this yourself. OR you think people don’t deserve you. Hell, I don’t DESERVE to have to write about this stupidity on a Sunday.
That said: I’M OUT LIKE SUMMER WALKER! YALL DON’T DESERVE ME EITHER!
(AllHipHop News) Tyga’s comeback into the rap game continues.
He not only celebrated a new deal with Columbia Records but the rapper also recently unleashed another banger to add to his catalog of hits.
Tyga teamed with YG and guitar God Carlos Santana for the new single “Mamacita,” and his “Mamacita of the Dead” haunted house, which took over the basement of Yamashiro in Los Angeles.
Now, he cashes out in a major way: a brand new crib.
The Compton native recently signed the paperwork to a new mansion in Bel-Air which will run him $58,000 a month.
The scenic property is nestled on a hillside, tucked in the foothills of the Santa Monica Mountains.
According to the LA Times, the two-acre estate includes a 13,000 square foot house, a 1,200 square foot guesthouse, and a 70 feet long swimming pool.
The three-story mansion was built this year and remains available for purchase retailing at $12.88 million.
“On this very day I found out my Daddy passed away. I was so distraught and had to put on a brave face and keep working because I had a show that same night. When @trinarockstarr came into my dressing room we instantly bonded. She comforted me and it was exactly what I needed in that moment. It’s as if her Mom and my Dad brought us together and healed our friendship. ❤️ We both have angels watching over us ❤️”
The clip played on the big screen on stage, equipped with police footage, protestors, lawmakers, and even shots of Cole covered with a waving American flag.
The voiceover states: “It seems like s### is all f##### up. The country needs a hero to turn to in these turbulent times. Jermaine Cole is that hero. He’s a man whose humility knows no bounds. A man whose pen is so potent, each word of his verses reportedly cost $2,000. We need someone with big ideas and bold solutions. An expert in diplomacy. A candidate who can heal the inter-generational war…. There is only one answer, one true unifier to heal the country. Make your voice heard. Vote for The Fall Off in 2020.”
The Fall Off will be his first project since his 2018 solo album KOD.
(AllHipHop Rumors) I don’t think I ever thought I would see the day that this would happen. But Wack 100 legit apologized for comments he made about Nipsey Hussle recently. He more or less said that S##### Cuz did his job according to the rules of gang banging. That may be true or it may not be true, but it was definitely insensitive af!
“Nipsey should have never been outside and stay in a rapper lane because that’s all he was. Nipsey was supposed to handle the situation when he told ‘S#####’ that he’s snitching and if Nipsey was a real gangster he wouldn’t have allowed ‘S##### Cuz’ go back to get the gun he killed him with.”
I guess those comments were not well received from the OG Crip that used to manage King Nip – Big U! In my opinion, Big U is like a version of Wack 100, but on the other side. Big U actually does a lot of stuff in the community now. That said…he evoked something beyond good will in the hood with Wack 100.
I am not sure if this is HIS way of making amends or if this is another shot. I am thinking this is a peace offering of sorts. Because he also posted a video of his artist The Game and Nip working together back in the day. Look at the caption and the video and tell me what you think.
(AllHipHop News) Nicki Minaj has labeled Wendy Williams “demonic” and “vicious” in an agitated tirade after the TV personality ridiculed her husband Kenneth Petty.
“Now, he served seven years in prison and he’s also a sex offender,” Wendy Williams said, referring to his time served for attempted rape and first-degree manslaughter in connection to a shooting.
“So that means that he… is a manslaughter a killer? Okay. So, he’s a killer and a sex offender… Well Nicki, congratulations,” Wendy continued.
“It’s not about doing your job. There are people who report the news and there are people who do it with an evil intent in their heart, viciousness. And I pray for you because I know you’re hurting and I know you must be sick and humiliated,” Nicki said.
The star continued: “I didn’t know that in our society, you have to be plagued by your past. I didn’t know that people can’t turn over a new leaf. I didn’t know that your viciousness and evilness was this deep-rooted.”
Nicki then aimed at Wendy’s busted marriage with Kevin Hunter, adding: “When a women isn’t really being loved at home, the viciousness is a different type. So I really wanted to pray for you today, because look at where you are now in your life.
“But you are demonic, and that’s why this stuff unfolded. If I were you, I would go and pray, ask for forgiveness. You can report the news — people do it all the time — without the level of viciousness and trying to play dumb and doing all this nonsense.”
