Now the actor is calling on the judge overseeing the case to throw the dispute out of court due to a legal technicality – because he wasn’t properly served with the legal notice.
Hart argues the process server “simply threw a set of papers out of a car window in view of a security guard,” who was located outside the gate to his house.
A court filing includes photos of the discarded documents, and Hart explains the suit should be dismissed because the guard doesn’t live at his property and isn’t authorized to accept legal notices on the funnyman’s behalf.
(AllHipHop News) Canadian recording artist Tory Lanez made it a point to collaborate with numerous other musicians on Chixtape 5. The 2019 album features contributions from prominent acts such as T-Pain (“Jerry Sprunger”), Snoop Dogg (“Beauty in the Benz”), and Chris Brown (“The Take”).
Lanez continued to promote a collaborative mentality by bringing out several guests at his “Chixtape Live” concert in Los Angeles on Thursday night. Chris Brown, Snoop Dogg, T-Pain, Ty Dolla $ign, Rich The Kid, and DaniLeigh joined Tory on stage.
The “Chixtape Live” tour hits New York City’s Hammerstein Ballroom at the Manhattan Center on Saturday, February 22. Tory Lanez is also scheduled to perform in his hometown of Toronto on February 23.
Chixtape 5 debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 album chart by collecting 83,000 first-week units. It became Lanez’s fourth consecutive Top 5 entry and the highest-charting project of his career. The Interscope Records release also featured Jagged Edge, Jermaine Dupri, Ludacris, The-Dream, Mýa, Mario, Trey Songz, Ashanti, Lil Wayne, and Fabolous.
(AllHipHop News) Neo-Soul queen Erykah Badu offered consumers the chance to buy incense that supposedly smelled like her own v#####. Badu’s P*ssy went on sale on February 20 and apparently there was a high demand for the item.
Badu World Market’s Twitter account announced that the $50 premium incense quickly sold out by posting, “Ain’t no mo’ p*ssy.” The Grammy winner reacted to that tweet by adding, “Fasses [fastest] selling pu$$ c in the south???!” She also addressed the instant success of Badu’s P*ssy on Instagram.
At first, there was confusion about whether Erykah was just trolling when the Dallas native told 10 Magazine that she cut up and burned her own panties to create the v#####-scented incense. However, the “hottest p*ssy on the market” was actually a real product.
Some people likely believe Badu’s P*ssy may hold some sort of magical superpowers (due to the theory that her genitalia fundamentally changed her ex-boyfriends André 3000, Common, and Jay Electronica). The Baduizm album creator is well aware of the meme about her sexual prowess.
“There’s an urban legend that my p*ssy changes men. The men that I fall in love with, and fall in love with me, change jobs and lives,” Badu told 10. According to the singer-songwriter, Badu’s P*ssy has been restocked in the online store.
(AllHipHop News) The year 2020 has been consumed with a lot of unfavorable news stories so far. For example, Kobe Bryant and eight others died in a helicopter crash, political divisions in America continue to widen, the Coronavirus is spreading around the world, and Bashar “Pop Smoke” Jackson was murdered.
New York City-bred rapper/actor Joey Bada$$ decided to take time to share his thoughts on what’s happening at this time with his 950,000 Twitter followers and 1.9 million Instagram followers. JB uploaded a snippet of the track he is currently working on that serves as a response to the negativity.
“A lil something I wrote in light of all the f*cked up sh*t goin on rn.. I need hip hop to have a hug,” tweeted the Pro Era frontman. In the clip, Bada$$ can be heard rhyming about “broken families,” “natural disasters,” “government agenda against rappers,” and more.
2017’s All-Amerikkkan Badass was Joey’s last studio LP. His discography also consists of the B4.DA.$$ album as well as the 1999 and Summer Knights mixtapes. Additionally, the 25-year-old entertainer acted on Mr. Robot, Boomerang,Wu-Tang: An American Saga, and Grown-ish.
Wade made his debut as a rapper on the track. The former Miami Heat All-Star opens the song with a verse that refers to his 3 NBA Championship rings, his wife Gabrielle Union, and his wealth.
Ross then takes over for the second and third verses with bars about Mercedes, positivity, Boris Becker, and more. Saadiq handles the chorus while Heat player Udonis Haslem (credited as UD) assists Wade on the record’s outro.
“Season Ticket Holder” landed two days before the D. Wade: Life Unexpected documentary premieres on ESPN at 9 pm ET. The Bob Metelus-directed film delves into the Chicago native’s early life and basketball career. His preteen child’s gender transition from male to female will also be covered in the doc.
“I’m excited to share a side of myself with the world that not many people may know,” said Wade. “This deeply personal documentary will give fans a never-before-seen look not only at the behind-the-scenes of my sixteen-year career in the NBA, but will peel back the curtain on my personal life – the highs, the lows and everything in between – showing how I created my own path to get to where I am today.”
(AllHipHop Rumors) I, illseed, have more information on the alleged firing of his Sunday Service Choir. First of all, I want to say I feel for all of the people affected by this situation. I may not have had a full understanding of the gravity of the matter and the severity of how people have been affected. More details sare here…
First of all, the entire choir was not let go. About 30 people were released and about 80 are still there. So, it does not sound like the catastrophe like yesterday – unless you were one of the people let go. Here are some things to remember. These are not union workers and so they have no sort of protection whatsoever from being let go. As far as pay, they were not paid particularly well, I was told, unless $500 for three days of work is good to you. I think they were motivated by more than that, my opinion.
A lot of them left jobs or relocated to be a part of the Kanye West religious revival. “They did not see it coming,” a source told me (illseed) directly. “This is a mix of people, many that are not young, and they still want to make it.” The person stressed that the fact that they are non-union workers really made them “prey.” They had no floor on pay or duration of employment. Now, I am not calling Kanye West and friends the “predators,” but it seems like they laid people off like any other company.
The thing is, this ain’t just any company….this is “Kanye’s Ministry,” the source said. I found that very interesting, that there is a huge emphasis on “ministry.” I believe Kanye West has started or is about to start his own Church (mo’ money, mo’ money!). This is not a new notion and, like I said before, he’s played with the religious looks quite a lot over his illustrious career. People may have looked at this like a huge spiritual let down, not just the loss of a high-profile job.
Kanye has quieted down a bit and dropped his album[s] so I guess there is less need to have this massive choir. In my previous report, I was told that Kanye West was not in-the-know of this firing. I still believe he had to know, but maybe not. Imagine going to rehearse and “Suzie Mae From The Mid-West” is no longer singing the Lord’s sweet music!
I will give you more info as it becomes available.
(AllHipHop News) It has been two years since Royce Da 5’9″ released his critically-acclaimed album Book of Ryan. The Detroit lyricist is back with a brand new body of work titled The Allegory.
The new LP includes over a dozen guests such as Kxng Crooked, DJ Premier, Westside Gunn, Conway The Machine, Benny The Butcher, T.I., and Vince Staples. Veteran comedian Cedric The Entertainer also shows up on “Dope Man. Royce’s Bad Meets Evil partner Eminem is featured on the project too.
On “Perspective (Skit),” Eminem discusses the erasure of Black artists throughout history and racial representation in the media. Em mentions how Black people have created “damn near every form of music,” and he points out how Elvis Presley was crowned the “King of Rock & Roll” despite earlier contributions to the genre from Black performers such as Chuck Berry and Sister Rosetta Tharpe.
Eminem states:
But you’ve got people of all races like coming together and helping shape this from the ground up So now you got little White kids growing up with Black idols And you got Black kids growig’ up with White idols And you got- it’s just this whole mixing pot Nothing has brought more races and more people from all different walks of life together than Hip Hop No music has done that, I don’t think anything has done that as much as Hip Hop has So, in the same token, I can understand the frustration being that damn near every form of music, period, was created by Black people So, you got Chuck Berry, you got Rosetta Tharpe And Rock & Roll is starting to get some attention, but then along comes Elvis And people are acting like, “Oh my God, I’ve never seen this before.” You’ve seen it before, but you might not have seen a White person do it to this level So now, he sells the most records and people are calling him the “King of Rock & Roll”, right? But, on the flip side of the coin, if I’m a Black kid, growing up in, let’s say the 60s, 70s, 80s, whatever, right? And I’m looking on TV and nobody looks like me and it’s very stereotypical and I’m looking at f*cking… I’m lookin’ at toys and everything is White, the f*cking action figures are all White The f*cking superheroes are all White Like maybe there’s one or two Black superheroes mixed in there with mostly White I don’t know how I’d grow up and not have a chip on my shoulder On the other flip side of that coin We don’t get to choose our parents, we don’t get to choose what color we’re born It’s more about, at that point it, becomes, “You’re born here, you are what color you are, you’re what nationality you are.” And it’s what you do with it, right? To make a difference
This is not the first time Eminem has referenced Elvis as a White man that took many elements of his artistry from African-Americans. He rapped on “Without Me” in 2002, “I am the worst thing since Elvis Presley to do black music so selfishly and use it to get myself wealthy.”
