Post Malone: “I Only Have One Good Song”

(AllHipHop News) Post Malone was the latest artist to do an interview with Nardwuar. The Human Serviette asked Post about performing his first hit “White Iverson” more than once at shows. The Texas-bred performer’s answer included him giving a self-deprecating review of his catalog.

“I had like three songs out. I only had one good song. I still only have one good song, but I had to do it first and I had to do it last ‘cause no one knew who the hell I was,” stated Post Malone.

Currently, Post has reached platinum status with several records including “White Iverson,” “Too Young,” and “Congratulations.” His double plat record “Rockstar” featuring 21 Savage has spent the last eight weeks at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Wiz Khalifa Heading To India For Huge Festival In Goa

(AllHipHop News) Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania rapper Wiz Khalifa is heading to India as the headliner of a huge three-day festival.

Wiz is among a variety of worldwide stars appearing at the TIMEOUT72 music festival in Goa.

Artists like Jason Derulo, Martin Garrix, Don Diablo, Lost Stories, Shaan, Justin Mylo and Varun Khullar are among the acts slated for the annual concert, which is dubbed one of India’s largest and most diverse events.

The TIMEOUT72 festival will take place from December 27th-29th.

Big Sean Gives Free Performance Celebrating Release With Metro Boomin

(AllHipHop News) Big Sean will celebrate the release of his collaborative effort with Metro Boomin with a free concert.

Big Sean will hit the stage at the Fillmore tonight (December 10th) in Detroit, where hometown fans will be treated to a free performance of his new album with Metro Boomin’ titled Double or Nothing.

The rapper made the announcement via Twitter, and promised fans there would be more free shows to follow.

Double or Nothing with Metro Boomin is Big Sean’s second album of 2017.

In February, Big Sean released his fourth studio album I Decided, which peaked at number #1 on the Billboard Top 200 and the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts.

XXXTentacion Invites Fans To His Upcoming Court Date

(AllHipHop News) New rap star XXXTentacion is asking his fans for help as he prepares to be tried for sexual assault charges.

XXXTentacion is facing witness tampering and domestic violence charges, for a series of assaults he committed against his ex-girlfriend, including rubbing a barbecue pitchfork against her v#####.

The rapper is facing a long stretch in prison for the sexual assault, and he could be sent to prison for life for the witness tampering charges alone.

Over the weekend, XXXTentacion posted details of his court date, in hopes of fans attending to offer up some support.

It looks like XXXTentacion doesn’t have much hopes for beating the charges.

He posted a cryptic message to his Instagram stories, saying “it was fun while it lasted.”

Jim Jones Offers Colin Kaepernick A Spot On His New Football Team

(AllHipHop News) Rapper Jim Jones is already getting to work as a co-owner of the Richmond Roughriders football team.

During a press conference officially announcing his ownership stake in the team, Jim invited former NFL player Colin Kaepernick to join the Richmond Roughriders.

“You know, he didn’t get to play this year in the NFL and in Arena football he can keep his skills up to par, break some records, have some fun,” Jim Jones said during a press conference.

Earlier this week, the news broke that Jim Jones is a minority owner of the Richmond Roughriders, which is a team in the American Arena League.

According to Jim, he plans to promote the organization in his music, and videos, and during live appearances.

This year’s season starts on August 16th, when the Roughriders take on the High County Grizzlies.

Arrest Warrant Issued For Man Who Robbed R. Kelly’s Home

(AllHipHop News) Police in Georgia have identified the man who allegedly raided R. Kelly’s homes over the Thanksgiving holiday last month.

The burglar targeted two of the singer’s Atlanta-area pads while he was touring, and took furniture and electronics.

Sources tell TMZ , three men caught leaving one of the houses in a van, told police detectives they had been hired by one of Kelly’s associates, Alfonso Walker, who told them to sell everything because the singer was moving his operation to Chicago.

Kelly’s aides told the cops Walker was just a part-time employee.

Some of the singer’s furniture was found at Walker’s home. Police officials have issued a warrant for his arrest.

Woman Claims Meek Mill Punched Her In The Face During Argument

(AllHipHop News) Meek Mill’s lawyer must be piling up, as the rapper sits behind bars for the next 2-4 years on a probation violation.

A woman in Houston has just filed a lawsuit against Meek, claiming he punched her in the face during an appearance at Dreams Lounge in Houston.

According to the lawsuit, Meek was involved in a heated argument with the club’s owner when things got violent.

The rapper was apparently flailing his arms wildly, and kept bumping into a woman named Cree Melvin.

Cree Melvin’s lawsuit claims when she tapped Meek on the shoulder to let him know he was repeatedly shoving her, the rapper exploded with brutality.

According to Cree Melvin, Meek exclaimed that he was “a made ni##a” and punched her in the face.

Cree Melvin is suing the rapper for damages over the alleged assault and battery.

In addition to fighting for their client’s freedom, Meek’s lawyers are also busy fighting off a separate pair of lawsuits stemming from a nightclub shooting, claiming his lyrics incited the violence.

Skepta’s Rolls-Royce Commercial Banned Over Seatbelt Violation

(AllHipHop News) A Rolls-Royce advertising campaign featuring Skepta has been pulled, following a backlash in the United Kingdom.

The commercial features the rapper winding through the Swiss Alps in a pricey Phantom.

The problem is, Skepta is highlighted throughout the commercial without his seatbelt on.

According to the Mirror, safety experts in the U.K. were outraged at the video, because it is in clear violation of the country’s safety laws.

Even though Skepta is sitting in the back seat, the country’s Highway Code states that all passengers must be buckled up.

“Perhaps Skepta, the great grime artist, should listen to his own song ‘It Ain’t Safe’ before rapping in the back of a Rolls-Royce, apparently not wearing a seatbelt,” snapped Edmund King, president of the Automobile Association in the U.K.

Skepta has yet to comment on the issue, although he did post an image to his Twitter page that seems to reference the controversy.

Stevie J. Grows “Relationship Roster” During Season 2 Of Reality Show

(AllHipHop News) Hit producer-turned reality star Stevie J. has announced season 2 of his reality show “Leave It To Stevie.”

This season will follow the producer as he attempts to relaunch his brand and of course, find love.

According to the a synopsis released by VH1, season 2 will follow Stevie as he “continues to grow his relationship roster in order to find true love.”

Fellow “Love & Hip Hop” stars Safaree, Scrappy and Yung Joc make guest appearances this season, along with Faith Evans.

“Leave It To Stevie” will return on Wednesday, January 3 at 10PM ET/PT.

DJ Mustard, Associate Detained For Gun At LAX

(AllHipHop News) DJ Mustard and an associate ran into some trouble last night at Los Angeles International Airport.

According to reports, DJ Mustard was collared after found a gun was found in a bag passing through a security check.

TSA reps told cops both men attempted to stroll away after an x-ray alerted security to a weapon inside of the bag.

Cops are separated the men in question them individually.

According to TMZ.com, DJ Mustard was released, however, his boy was arrested. DJ Mustard claimed that he had no idea his friend brought the gun with him.

Eve’s Husband Joked That His Dad Didn’t Like Black People

(AllHipHop News) Rapper Eve was initially afraid to meet her husband Maximillion Cooper’s parents because he jokingly told her his father didn’t like African-Americans.

The “Who’s That Girl” hitmaker’s in-laws are Caucasian and when Cooper told her they weren’t fond of black people, she was shocked he didn’t tell them she is African-American.

“When my husband and I first started dating, I was going to meet his parents and he thought it would be funny to tell me that his dad didn’t like black people,” she said on her U.S. chat show The Talk. “He was kidding. You have to know my husband, he thinks stuff like this is funny and it was funny, because his parents are amazing and beautiful.”

“But he did tell me that and I was terrified,” she continued. “I was like, ‘How could you not prepare them, what did you say, why couldn’t you tell them?,’ and then I got there and they were amazing, but I was so stressed out.”

Lil Peep Died Of Fentanyl And Xanax According To Toxicology Report

(AllHipHop News) A toxicology report has revealed Lil Peep died from a powerful combination of drugs.

According to the Pima County Medical Examiner, Fentanyl and a generic version of Xanax were found in the 21-year-old’s body.

Lil Peep, born Gustav Åhr, was found dead on his tour bus in Tucson, Arizona, on November 15th.

Documents obtained by TMZ.com show a “combined toxic effects of Fentanyl and Alprazolam” caused Lil Peep’s death.

Heroin is frequently cut with Fentanyl, while Alprazolam is a knock-off of the Xanax brand.

So far, Lil Peep’s death has been ruled an accident, however, police are reportedly investigating how he obtained the drugs.

Report: Meek Mill Requested F.B.I. Investigation; Refused To Wear Wire

(AllHipHop News) Meek Mill’s chances to remove a judge who he claims was attempting to extort him, continues to fade.

The rapper claimed Judge Genece Brinkley demanded he drop Roc Nation management, in addition to re-recording a Boyz II Men song in her honor.

Although the transcripts of the alleged requests remain sealed, sources familiar with the matter told Philly.com there was a shortlived F.B.I. investigation, but it was initiated at the request of Meek Mill.

But any further inquiries into Judge Genece Brinkley’s dealings with Meek ended abruptly, after the F.B.I. suggested for Meek to wear a wire and record the judge.

According to Philly.com , the rapper refused the request, which ended any possible investigation into Judge Genece Brinkley’s alleged wrongdoing surrounding Meek’s case.

Lawyers are still fighting Judge Brinkley’s latest decision to keep the rapper locked up for the next 2-4 years for violating the terms of his probation for a 2008 drug and gun case.

Meek is currently being housed at the State Correctional Facility in Chester, as his lawyers continue their war with Judge Brinkley in an appeal of her ruling to Superior Court.
