(AllHipHop Rumors) You know…Jay-Z’s new album is classic in a modern sense. It may not be as classic as his old stuff, but it is in this present time. Get it? Anyway, the dude Michael Rapport has been on the fringes of Black culture for quite some time. I thought homie was cool but now he is talking all kinds of crazy at every turn. Its like he is an old man stricken with dementia and talking all crazy.
He’s said a number of things and set his sights on Jay-Z. He has said that the new album, 4:44, is not a Hip-Hop album and that he he doesn’t care about his personal problems.
There has been a lot of coded language coming from white folks on this album. I dunno…sounds like something he couldn’t relate to on the low low low.
(AllHipHop Music) 3D Na’Tee is far too dope to be so underground. So, while she may not be the most popular, she is definitely in the running as one of the dopest. Case in point: she has remixed Jay-Z’s new-ish song “The Story of OJ.” She definitely brings more to the song that was present prior to this remix. Check it out.
Here is the original song, for those that have been living under a moist, gigantic rock.
(AllHipHop News) Queen Latifah is eager to make her Broadway debut.
The actress/rapper has starred in a number roles that originated on Broadway, including Matron ‘Mama’ Morton in “Chicago,” The Wiz in The Wiz Live!, and Motormouth Maybelle in “Hairspray,” but she has yet to find the perfect role to make her debut on the Great White Way.
Latifah reveals she was recently offered an opportunity to star in an unnamed stageshow which became a huge hit, but it wasn’t the right timing.
“There was a big production that was offered to me and it became very successful,” she told U.S. chat show Watch What Happens Live! on Thursday (20Jul17). “It gained some Tony (Awards), but I couldn’t work it into my (schedule).”
Latifah is well aware of how tough a Broadway schedule can be, so she is prepared to devote as much time as required when she eventually books her big New York stage debut.
“I would love to do Broadway actually, but it just would have to be the right project,” she added. “I would just have to have the time. I’m very serious about Broadway, I’m not going to play around with that…”
Fresh off of co-headlining the Squady Fest Tour with Famous Dex and Boogz Boogetz, Reggie Mills teams up with Queens rappers Ha$$Brady and LazyBxnes for “By My Side.” The three tri-state artists met after performing at the SXSFLEX stage together during SXSW 2017. This Cormill produced record exhibits characteristics of the new wave rap style. The catchy Ha$$Brady hook lays the foundation for the harmonic cadence from Mills and upbeat verse from Lazy Bxnes.

(AllHipHop News) R&B singer/songwriter The-Dream’s wife is pregnant with his eighth child.
The music producer, real name Terius Nash, revealed his wife LaLonne Nash was expecting his eighth child, their third together, by sharing a picture on Instagram showing him grabbing her bottom while a large bump can be seen under her off-the-shoulder floral white summer dress.
In the cheeky caption, he wrote, “When everyone knows what you been doing.”
LaLonne uploaded a more traditional photo of them posing for the camera, with The-Dream cupping her bump and kissing her on the cheek, revealing she didn’t have long left to go of her pregnancy.
“Welcoming a new member to the Nash familia…#35weeks and counting,” she wrote.
The singer married LaLonne in 2014 and they are parents to two sons Lord and Heir.
The-Dream also has three children with his first wife Nivea; daughter Navy, 12, and twin sons London and Christian, 11, a seven-year-old daughter with second wife, singer Christina Milian, while former girlfriend Lydia Nam gave birth to a boy in 2013.
(AllHipHop News) Rapper Rick Ross has reportedly agreed to pay $5,000 in restitution in his kidnapping case.
The “Hustlin’” hitmaker was accused of kidnapping, aggravated assault, aggravated battery and other charges in 2015 for allegedly holding a groundskeeper on his Georgia estate at gunpoint, forcing him into a guesthouse and beating the man.
He pleaded no contest to a felony count of aggravated assault in April and was ordered to pay a $10,000 fine.
According to reports, he has now agreed to pay $4,690 to the Fayette County, Georgia District Attorney’s office to reimburse three employees for travelling fees accrued during the case.
(AllHipHop News) Rapper Meek Mill has taken aim at his ex-girlfriend Nicki Minaj on his new album, seven months after the couple parted ways.
Nicki dated the “Ima Boss MC” for two years before rumours began surfacing in December of 2016 suggesting they had called it quits, and she confirmed her single status in a Twitter post in early January.
While the hip-hop superstar has remained quiet about the reasons behind their split, Meek is using his new album Wins & Losses, which was released on Friday to air out their issues in public.
Meek makes references to his ex on multiple songs, most notably on “1942 Flows,” on which he suggests he dumped Nicki after she betrayed him, and claims the “Anaconda” hitmaker was left devastated by the break-up.
“N##gas talking shots, can’t stop me, they ain’t real enough/Cut her off, act like she’s dead and it’s killing her (sic),” he raps, while in another line, he spits, “Try to crucify me like I’m Jesus the way she cross me.”
Later on in the track, Meek sends a message to the press, saying, “Don’t ask me about no Nicki (sic)”, while in the final verse, he continues, “Heard that b##ch say she cut me, I was like adios/In the field, knock ’em down, it look like dominos.”
Meek also lashes out at Nicki on “Never Lose,” branding her a “fraud” in an apparent reference to her Remy Ma diss track “No Frauds,” as well as reported mentions on “F##k That Check Up” and “Heavy Heart.”
Nicki, who was recently linked to rap icon Nas, has yet to comment on Meek’s new lyrics.
(AllHipHop Rumors) You know him, we all know him. R. Kelly, Robert Sylvester Kelly. He tells all of his girls to call him “Daddy” when in his presence. What I want to know is how does he find these young women. How does he approach them? Does he say, “Wanna go home with daddy & live in the big palace?” What?
Tabloids throughout the US & Canada are blasting the R&B singer and songwriter. 21-year-old Jocelyn Savage is one out of many of Kelly’s girls. Each girl is assigned to their own room and is told not to leave the room unless granted permission. Sounds familiar, right? We’ll touch on that later. But for now, let’s keep it moving! Kelly houses the girls at his Chicago home, The Trump Tower. Wherever Kelly goes, his girls go too, whether it’s on tour, shooting a video, they are there. Sources say he has a second home in suburban Atlanta where he houses additional young girls against their will. He allegedly even goes as far as to instruct them on what to wear, what to eat, ways to style their hair & even ways he desires to be pleasured sexually. He allegedly records his sexual acts with them and shares them with his male friends even! Damn, Kells..You freaky, my guy! When they do not follow his requests, he allegedly punishes them physically and even verbally.
Jocelyn recently released a video stating that she is okay and her parents need not to worry about her. When viewing the video, it is apparent that the 21-year-old seems a bit startled, as if she is being coached.
You make your own judgement. Watch the video below.
Jocelyn’s parents claim that she has a history of ADHD & is easily manipulated. ADHD?! Hell no. Stupid as hell? YES! This girl knew exactly what she was getting herself into when she first encountered R. Kelly. Let’s not act blind here. When R. Kelly first hit the scene in 1993, many believed he was a sexual demon, just looking to find his next victim. Here it is 20 plus years later, and nothing has changed. And it never will. He meets most of them at 18 & 19 years of age. Okay, and??! Most young girls claim to want to be grown so bad and so soon, and there it is, R. Kelly got your ass and now you can’t handle it!
Check this out, now it’s time for me to take you to school. Let me take ya’ll readers to school real quick.
One word: B###
Remember the movie, “Fifty Shades Of Grey”? Yeah, me too. It’s straight forward. B### is an overlapping abbreviation of bondage and discipline (BD), dominance and submission (DS), sadism and masochism (SM).
Alright! Still confused? Guess you’ll forever be. Watch the movie & get back to me!
What R. Kelly is doing is no different than what Hugh Hefner has been doing for decades. He houses beautiful women in his mansion and they wear lingerie, and he calls them his “bunnies”. Kelly houses women, and they must do whatever he says, grant his sexual fantasies and they are called his “babies”.
I rest my case. R. Kelly, I still have your music in some of my nasty playlists.

(AllHipHop News) Another woman has a major issue with Usher, stating that the singer gave her herpes after having sex with him.
The sex act allegedly happened this year and she has responded with a $10 million lawsuit.
A “Jane Doe” filed the lawsuit, stating she and the singer linked up at her Atlanta home. She stated after foreplay, oral sex and other acts, they had sex. She stated they used a condom in that instance on April 16. However, 12 days later in a New Orleans hotel, they had sex without a condom, the suit says.
Oddly, the woman does not claim that she has Herpes Simplex 2. She says she would not have bedded the singer had she known he had the virus.
She is suing the singer for negligence, battery and emotional distress and the $10 million, according to TMZ.

(AllHipHop News) Earlier this year, photos surfaced on social media of Jay-Z with reggae artist Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley in a Jamaican studio.
Fans immediately began assuming some type of music with Jay and Marley was on the way.
It turned out the two musical giants did team up for “Bam” off the Brooklyn emcee’s 4:44 album.
However, the record was actually put together in the States.
Marley swung by Sway In The Morning to talk about working with Jay on the track.
“I was going to L.A. to shoot a video, and he knew I was going to be out there. That’s where he was working,” explained Marley. “So he hit me up and asked if I had a few hours to stop by the studio.”
When Damian arrived at the spot, Jay already had the idea for the hook to “Bam.”
“After doing the hook, he said, ‘Okay, you can do your thing on the beat for awhile.’ I was kind of freestyling on the beat,” Marley said. “Then they edited my freestyle and constructed what is my verse.”
4:44 is not the only example of cooperation between Damian Marley and Jay-Z.
(AllHipHop Music) Meek Mill is back with another round of audio treats. The rapper is coming from a different place, with some high highs and some low lows. Since 2015’s Dreams Worth More Than Money, the Philly bull has seen it all – from rap battles to lost love. Now, he returns with an appropriate title: Wins And Losses. The title may not apply to these recent situations. Meek says, “It’s all about what molded me into being Meek Mill today and the trials and tribulations of my life that made me bigger and better.” The album offers appearances by Lil Uzi Vert, Ty Dolla $ign, Young Thug, Future, Yo Gotti, Rick Ross, Quavo of The Migos and others. (AllHipHop Rumors) Uh oh! Ice-T’s wife Coco had to learn the hard way about how savage Black Twitter and Instagram really are!
Coco debuted a new look of conrow/box braids and got dragged to the pits of hell and back on social media.
Coco called the style “Da Coco Swoop”.
Folks weren’t going to let her live with rocking the braids alone, so they definitely let her have it for giving the style another name that they felt was once again an example of cultural appropriation.
“My new braids! I call um Da Coco Swoop.. I wanted a little change up for the Summer. Oh and by the way.. I name all the braid styles I do even hair styles with no braids .. Its a cute thing I do.. I have many weird Coco-isms,” said Coco.
It wasn’t long before folks started going off!
“You’re not black lol and never will be,” wrote a user.
“What the f-ck is the coco swoop, who are you to claim our culture?” said another Twitter user.
Coco’s husband Ice-T came to her defense letting the angry birds know that there is nothing wrong with her hair style.
“Wrong for what? Braiding her hair?? You sound Dumb,” said Ice-T.
He went on to say,
“Sh-t’s really funny to me… You gotta know Me and Coco don’t give a flying F-ck..”
Are Coco’s braids an example of cultural appropriation, or are people just too sensitive?
(AllHipHop Rumors) It looks like Nicki Minaj is another rapper that’s incorporating her love for Gospel music into her Hip Hop music!
If you are one of the biggest names in Hip Hop, it’s only right to recruit one of the biggest names in Gospel, like the Grammy Award-winning singer Tasha Cobbs.
A few months ago Nicki revealed to her social media followers that she would love to work with Cobbs, and according to a recent snippet that hit the net, her wish came true.
Nicki has been hoping back and forth between rap and pop music for years, so why not bring in a little gospel influence. I mean Lecrae and Chance The Rapper made some huge waves with their music and gospel inclusion, so we understand Nicki’s choice, especially if it’s authentic.
Nicki certainly spoke her wish into frutition a few months ago when she told Tasha,
“@tashacobbsleonard when you finish recording the album, come to my studio so I can put a 16 on one of these songs miss thang! Can’t wait for this to drop!”
Tasha expressed that she was down for the collaboration, as she told Nicki,
“You already know. That’s gonna be BANANAS.”
It looks like we now have a snippet of the song that will be released on August 25th. Take a listen below and let us know your thoughts?
(AllHipHop Rumors), Yesterday, July 20th at approximately 9am PST at his estate in Palos Verdes Estates, California, Chester Bennington gave up on his life long battle & committed suicide. Sources say his wife & children were out of state during the time of his death. No update as of now as to what city the family were in. The musician had a typical upbringing as a child, two parents who both worked hard to make an honest living. His mother was a nurse and his father was a police detective. In his early years, Chester became a victim to sexual abuse from an older male friend. He was afraid to share the horrific news with others. The fear of being perceived as homosexual and a liar daunted Chester.
Although we know that Chester suffered many emotional battles, the question still remains.. Could this death have been prevented??
The band released an album in May of this year, titled, “One More Light”. As I listened to each song, it struck me like a bolt of lightning! The titles to each song stuck out like a sore thumb. Think about it. Titles like, “Nobody Can Save Me”, “Invisible” & “Sorry For Now” will really make you believe that this suicide was all planned. When you listen to the beginning of “Nobody Can Save Me” you will hear Bennington recite words, “I’m dancing with my demons. I’m hanging off the edge. Storm clouds gather beneath me. Waves break above my head. At first hallucination. I wanna fall wide awake now. You tell me it’s alright. Tell me I’m forgiven. Tonight. But nobody can save me now…”
Based from those lyrics alone, it’s evident that the singer has been crying out for help, which seems like for many years now. Could he have attempted to seek help? Was he turned away? Was he frowned upon or ignored? Maybe his music was his cry for help. The closest ones around him, never really knew or fully understood the deep darkness that hid inside, wishing to escape, like the Netflix original series, “13 Reasons Why”. In the series, the main character left behind audio tapes, labeled 1-13. With Chester, he left behind an entire album of songs.
No one will truly ever know or begin to understand the pain he had to endure or why he chose suicide as a way out, but one thing is for certain, his music will forever be timeless.

(AllHipHop News) Will Smith was essentially “Mr. Box Office” for a multi-year stretch in the 1990’s.
From 1995 to 1999, the rapper-turned-actor starred in the blockbusters Bad Boys, Independence Day, Men in Black, Enemy of the State, and Wild Wild West.
Smith’s career also features starring roles in several other commercially successful movies which helped him become a global superstar with a lifetime gross of over $3.2 billion.
Vulturecaptured quotes from Smith while he took part in a Comic-Con panel covering the upcoming action thriller.
Smith spoke about the effects of social media on modern Hollywood’s difficulty creating A-list superstars like in the past.
“There was a certain amount of privacy and distance that you had from the audience, and ‘only on July Fourth’ did you have access,” he expressed, referring to the tradition of big summer flicks being released during July 4th weekend. “That [limited] amount of access gave you a bigger-than-life kind of thing, but this shift into this new world is almost like a friendship with the fans.”
The 2-time Academy Award nominee continued, “The relationship is less like the time that you could make Madonna, Michael Jackson, Tom Cruise into these gigantic figures. You can’t create that anymore. The shift is to, ‘We’re best friends.’”
Bright also represents a vital shift taking place in the industry.
The reported $100 million production will premiere as a streaming exclusive on Netflix.
Using his own children as an example, Smith discussed Millennials’ tendency to embrace both theater releases and digital content.
“It’s a great study to see how they still go to the movies on Friday and Saturday night, and they watch Netflix all week. It’s two completely different experiences,” said Smith.
Besides Bright, Netflix has produced the films Beasts of No Nation, Burning Sands, Imperial Dreams, and more.
