Gucci Mane Teams With Selena Gomez For Her New Single “Fetish” (AUDIO)

(AllHipHop News) A Pop princess meets a Trap God.

Selena Gomez released her new single, and “Fetish” includes an appearance by Gucci Mane.

The Southern rap legend uses his verse on the record to rhyme about a hard-to-get woman.

Recent months have seen the arrival of Gucci Mane collaborations with several music acts outside of Hip Hop.

Guwop teamed with The Kolors for “What Happened Last Night,” Joe for “Happy Hour,” and Fifth Harmony for “Down.”

Previously, Gomez united with Harlem rap star A$AP Rocky on her 2015 song “Good for You.”

2 Chainz Talks Creating A Conceptual “Trapping Ass Midnight Marauders” Album With Q-Tip (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) 2 Chainz just earned his third #1 Rap album with Pretty Girls Like Trap Musicbut the Hair Weave Killer is already talking about his next body of work.

Hot 97 caught up with the “Door Swangin” rhymer who revealed he is working on a collection featuring contributions from production wiz Statik Selektah and Hip Hop legend Q-Tip.

“The next project is going to be solid as well. It’s gonna be conceptual,” stated Chainz.

The Atlanta resident later added, “I went over to [Q-Tip‘s house] and let him hear the Statik records because I want him to be more of like a curator of my next project. I just respect what he has done,” said 2 Chainz. “I told him, imagine a trapping ass Midnight Marauders.”

As a member of A Tribe Called Quest, Q-Tip rapped and produced on the classic 1993 album Midnight Marauders as well as the group’s other projects.

Tribe’s 2016 gem We Got It from Here… Thank You 4 Your Service helped the collective set the Billboard 200 chart record for the longest span between #1 albums for a Hip Hop act.

Mike Will Made-It Breaks Down How He & Rae Sremmurd Helped Create Beyonce’s “Formation” (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) A lot of fans probably know Mike Will Made-It co-produced Beyoncé’s Lemonade hit “Formation.”

There’s likely less public knowledge that Rae Sremmurd‘s Khalif Swae Lee” Brown is credited as a co-writer for the song.

Mike Will Made-It explained how the award-winning record came together during a “What Had Happened Was” interview with Pigeons & Planes.

“We were driving to Coachella, and I’m playing beats in the car. We’re just in there freestyling, throwing different things back-and-forth at each other,” recalled the Atlanta native. “I hear Swae Lee say, ‘Something, something. Now let’s get in formation.'”

They documented the line and other ideas on a phone voice note before recording them in the studio.

Mike Will Made-It sent that raw studio recording to Beyoncé who later told the EarDrummers leader she liked the concept.

Bey and Mike eventually connected to record “Formation.”

“We were in the studio. She asked me if I hear anything, and I’m telling her different ab-libs that I hear. She’s telling me different things that she hears in the beat,” explained the Ransom 2 creator. “The process was like gumbo. Everybody’s in there just adding their own ingredients.”

Joey Bada$$ Talks Putting Pressure On Rap Veterans Like JAY-Z (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Just days after JAY-Z released his 13th solo album 4:44, fellow Brooklyn-raised emcee Joey Bada$$ presented a theory about the project.

“I think I figured it out… 4:44 is the 4th Blueprint,” tweeted Joey.

In a new interview with Montreality, the Pro Era frontman offered another idea about 4:44.

“I know I was an inspiration to that album. There’s nothing nobody can tell me. I put certain pressure on these OGs in the rap game,” said Joey. “They know what they gotta talk about now, cause they got this young n-gga Joey Bada$$ coming out talking about this sh-t before they got the chance to talk about it. It is what it is.”

He added, “I love the album. It’s great. I’m glad he spoke about everything he spoke on, and I’m glad I could be inspiration.”

The conversation also includes the All-Amerikkkan Bada$$ LP creator discussing his favorite anime series, what Kendrick Lamar represents to the culture, conscious rap vs mumble rap, and more.

Ty Dolla $ign Drops His Brother From Album After Jail Incidents

(AllHipHop News) Rapper Ty Dolla $ign has been forced to abandon plans to include his incarcerated brother on his new album after a previous song appearance turned his life behind bars upside down.

The hip-hop star, real name Tyrone Griffin, Jr., showed his support for his sibling, Big TC, on his 2015 release Free TC, by featuring a sample from a prison phone call.

But the guest appearance brought TC, who is serving a life sentence for murder, a lot of unwanted attention, and Ty suggests an incident with other inmates resulted in his brother being put in isolation.

“If he was out we’d probably be making songs together right here in the studio,” Ty told The Guardian, before explaining why Big TC won’t be involved in his upcoming release, Beach House 3.

“After Free TC, he just got hella (sic) attention and something happened… and he ended up getting locked in the hole for a long a## time,” he said, “so right now there isn’t a song on Beach House 3 with him.”

Ty, who collaborated with Fifth Harmony on their hit song “Work From Home,” has yet to set a release date for his new album, but he did debut a new song, called “Love U Better,” which features fellow rapper Lil Wayne and singer/producer The-Dream.

Dr. Dre Says Beating Up Dee Barnes Will Haunt Him For The Rest Of His Life

(AllHipHop News) Hip-Hop icon Dr. Dre will forever regret his assault of a female journalist in the 1990s, insisting the incident will always stain his legacy.

The veteran star infamously lost his temper with Dee Barnes after spotting her at a nightclub back in 1991 and physically attacked her over an interview she published with Dre’s former N.W.A. bandmate-turned-rival Ice Cube.

He pleaded no contest to a beating charge and received probation, while Barnes also won a civil lawsuit against the rapper.

In 2015, Dre addressed his violent past as he issued a formal apology to “the women I’ve hurt” over the years, but the timing of the statement was questioned by critics as its release emerged as the N.W.A. biopic, “Straight Outta Compton,” was hitting cinemas.

Now the MC and superproducer, real name Andre Young, has revisited the incident once more in the second installment of his new four-part TV documentary “The Defiant Ones,” which focuses on his music industry success.

In the candid footage, Dre urges other men not to make the same mistake he did, because it’s haunted him ever since.

“Any man that puts his hands on a female is a f##king idiot, he’s out of his f##king mind,” he declares in the episode.

“I was out of my f##king mind at the time, I f##ked up,” he continues. “I paid for it, I’m sorry for it, and I apologize for it. I have this dark cloud that follows me and it’s gonna be attached to me forever. It’s a major blemish on who I am as a man.”

The second episode of “The Defiant Ones,” made for U.S. cable network HBO, also features a stern warning about domestic violence.

Barnes is not the only woman Dre has been accused of abusing in the past – his ex-girlfriend Michel’le maintains he was violent during their relationship from 1990 to 1996.

They share a son named Marcel.

Lil Yachty Offers To Pay Some Students’ Tuition

(AllHipHop News) Rap newcomer Lil Yachty is planning to follow in Nicki Minaj’s footsteps and help to pay off fans’ student tuition fees.

The “Peek A Boo” star, real name Miles McCollum, took to Twitter to share the news with fans, revealing he wants to spread his newfound wealth by establishing a scholarship program.

“I will be pay (sic) some tuitions this year…,” he posted. “I’m gonna drop details very soon on how u (sic) can get in on this. I love u students.”

He also expressed his desire to cover back to school expenses for other less fortunate families.

“Also, I wanna take a few lucky family’s back 2 school shopping (sic),” the 19-year-old added. “All information will be on my site. It’s time to give back.”

Yachty’s charitable tweets emerged after he was criticized online for reportedly spending $150,000 on a new diamond chain and 100 carat pendant, which bears his likeness.

He isn’t the first rapper to offer fans help with school costs – Nicki Minaj is also setting up a college fund for straight A students after agreeing to pay off various fees and loans for over 30 fans who reached out to her via Twitter in May.

LL Sends Cryptic Message After Trying To Help Out Troubled Actress Maia Campbell

(AllHipHop News) Rapper-turned-actor LL Cool J has reportedly had his efforts to help his embattled former co-star Maia Campbell rejected after she was spotted begging for drugs in Georgia.

Campbell worked with the hip-hop legend on their 1990s sitcom In the House, but over the weekend, video footage of the actress emerged online, depicting her in her underwear, asking strangers for drugs at a gas station.

LL came across the clip and took to social media on Monday to chastise whoever recorded the video, writing on Twitter, “Instead of pulling out your phone and filming someone who’s obviously having trouble, Maybe lend a helping hand? A kind word?”

He also asked his followers to help him track down Campbell’s contact information so he could try and help.

“If anyone has a contact on Maia pls (sic) let me know…” he wrote in a now-deleted Instagram post, adding on Twitter, “@MaiaCampbell Please DM (direct message) me when/if you see this.”

Campbell learned of LL’s attempts to reach out to her, and responded to him in a new Instagram video, recorded by another fan who had tracked her down.

In the post, she declared, “I don’t need help, I just need a benefit concert for mental health.”

“Don’t DM me, it’s really me,” she continued, before stating, “Don’t call me, I’ll call you.”

According to People.com, she then insisted LL already had her mother’s phone number.

It’s not known if LL managed to speak to Campbell or her mom directly, but the “NCIS: Los Angeles” actor has since returned to Twitter and suggested his efforts went ignored.

“You can’t help someone who doesn’t want your help,” he tweeted, without expanding on his post.

Campbell has a history of personal troubles.

In 2009, she was admitted to a medical facility to receive treatment for a reported mental illness and drug problem.

She was allegedly diagnosed with bipolar disorder and was subsequently arrested for drug possession, prostitution, and disorderly conduct, among other offenses.

In 2012, she was featured on U.S. TV show “Iyanla Vanzant’s Fix My Life,” and revealed she was staying at a treatment facility.

MC Shan & Fans Are Feeling A Certain Way About Jay-Z & His ‘4:44’ Album

(AllHipHop Rumors) While Jay-Z’s ‘4:44’ album did numbers, there are still some folks who are not here for it.

One person in particular is MC Shan! Shan decided to criticize Jay for the messages and advice the album gives, and he even went as far as accusing Hov of biting his flow, and stealing the lyrics of other rappers. Whoa!

“I haven’t heard Jay’s album, and I’m not running out to go get Jay’s album. From what I hear, he’s saying the same thing a lot of people been saying for years. If you wanted to tell people to do something tell them to pull their f-cking pants up. Don’t tell them to stop putting f-cking money to their ear. That’s what their fans expect from them. That’s their persona…..Instead of throwing shots at motherf-ckers, say they f-cking name. Say who you talking about. Don’t f-cking shade that sh-t. Don’t be a shady motherf-cker. Say who you talking bout. Be that n-gga. If you listen to a lot of albums where you taking everyone else’s lyrics and sh-t and using them sh-ts including my flow. Come on. Come on, I’m definitely not going to run out and by the Blueprint, the F print,” said Shan.

MC Shan also tells Jay that he’s giving f-cked up advice by telling people to buy property because cats don’t really have that kind of “Malibu” money, their money is dirty, and when they try to buy something the feds are coming to take it.

Welp, Shan isn’t the only person that feels some kind of way about Jay. Jay’s fans have even been poking fun at him with his own advice and lyrics.

Jay bashed folks for their strip club visits, money phones, and wasteful spending habits while preaching about financial stability.

Fans flipped the script on Jay and went in on him about this costly ‘4:44’ tour ticket prices. Folks wanted to know how can Jay charge hundreds while telling folks to save up all of their money?

Obviously Jay probably has little-to-nothing to do with ticket prices, but the slander is still funny.

Peep Who Kevin Gates Is Letting Put Together His New Album!

(AllHipHop Rumors) Although Kevin Gates has had a rough year as far as his personal life goes, he hasn’t let that completely stop his music career.

Gates is currently serving a 30-month sentence in an Illinois jail, and his wife Dreka Gates is definitely holding him down!

Dreka has taken on the responsibility and pressure of putting together his next project. Dreka took to Twitter to share the news!

“BTW working on Kevin’s new project right now ?and I’m not going to lie, I’m nervous as F b/c I’m not getting any input from him ? & he’s (1)

We don’t have many details about the project yet, but I am interested in seeing what Dreka puts together.

We clearly have to wait a bit longer for Kevin’s release and total input.

As you know, he was completing a 6-month sentence in Polk County Jail for misdemeanor battery stemming from him kicking a woman at one of his shows.

Unfortunately for Kevin, he was also arrested and convicted for a gun charge on the day he was supposed to be released.

Let’s pray he learns his lesson(s) this time! Are you here for new music from Gates?

Where’s Yeezy? The Internet Isn’t Buying Kim Kardashian’s Response To Alleged Drug Use Rumors!

(AllHipHop Rumors) Kim and the rest of the Kardashian Klan just can’t seem to stay out of the headlines.

Uh oh! In one of Kim Kardashian’s recent Snap Chat videos, folks noticed a few lines of mystery white dust on a table behind her.

The internet wasted no time dragging her and accusing her of being on drugs and sniffing lines.

Kim wasted no time shutting the rumors down with a tweet that said,

“I do not play with rumors like this so I’m gonna shut it down real quick. That’s sugar from our candy mess from dylan’s candy shop.”

Despite Kim’s response the ‘net wasn’t convinced that the reality star didn’t have some bad drug habits. It looks like most weren’t convinced that it was candy. I mean of course it’s candy because people keep their candy mess in two lines right?! LOL.

Check out some of the responses from skeptics below!

Jimmy Kimmel Tricks People To Believe Fake Names For JAY-Z & Beyonce’s Twins (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) According to reports, JAY-Z and Beyoncé decided to name their newborn twins Rumi and Sir Carter.

Neither superstar parent has confirmed those are the actual names of the babies, but that has not stopped the public from commenting on the rumors.

For the sake of comedy, Jimmy Kimmel Live! took advantage of people’s belief in celebrity gossip and desire to be on television.

The late night talk show stopped random men, women, and children in Hollywood to inform them of fake names for JAY and Bey’s new kids.

“Celebrity baby names are so unusual now. The rumor actually is JAY-Z and Beyoncé named their kids Rumi and Sir,” Kimmel told his audience. “I hope that’s not true, but we don’t know the names of the twins and I wanted to have some fun with that. So this afternoon we went out on the street and we asked people to congratulate Beyoncé and JAY-Z on their recent arrival with some baby names we made up.”

21 Savage’s Manager Says “Issa” Song Featuring Drake & Young Thug Won’t Get Official Release

(AllHipHop News) 21 Savage’s debut studio LP Issa Album is on pace to open at #2 with over 70,000 units collected in its first week.

The southern rapper’s project contains 14 tracks without features from any other artists.

“Issa” featuring Drake and Young Thug leaked in May, and some of 21’s fans were expecting the title track to be included on Issa Album.

After the song was excluded from the final tracklist, there was hope that a high-quality version would eventually be released.

That prospect was shut down by 21’s manager Kei Henderson.

When asked on Twitter “So we never getting a CDQ version of Issa with Drake and Thug?” Henderson simply responded, “Nope.”

“Issa” will apparently remain in the vault, but 21 Savage followers are gravitating toward another record.

The Slaughter Gang leader’s “Bank Account” is currently in the Top 10 on iTunes’ Hip-Hop/Rap chart and in the Top 15 on Spotify’s Top 200 U.S. chart.

Tyler, The Creator Responds To Receiving Hateful Messages On Social Media

(AllHipHop News) In many ways, Tyler, The Creator is a professional internet troll.

Tyler actually once tweeted, “Wanted To Tell You Guys Again That I Am Troll Of 2011.”

The rapper also built a following by writing controversial lyrics, pulling pranks, and being an all around smart-ass.

Large sections of the internet use trolling to purposely offend or trigger people.

Others, like Tyler, typically troll on the net as a way to spark discussion.

The Scum F-ck Flower Boy album creator has also been a target of social media users, especially this week after rumors suggest he comes out of the closet on the project.

Prior to the recent anti-gay comments being posted on his Instagram page, Tyler spoke to Dazed about hateful messages he receives online.

“I was actually living life,” explained Tyler on taking a break from social media. “Like you don’t need to know everything I’m doing. ‘Where are you?’ ‘Post!’ Like, bro, I’m living life. Go learn a f-cking hobby.”

He continued, “Literally, you have people on the internet who talk all day and comment, but can’t speak in person, who actually don’t have social skills, who can’t play an instrument, who can’t draw, who can’t do anything; but they like and leave comments on other people’s sh-t. And that sh-t is crazy to me.”

The recent negativity being hurled at Tyler follows years of critics accusing him of promoting homophobia in his music.

“I’m not homophobic. I just think ‘f-ggot’ hits and hurts people. It hits. And ‘gay’ just means you’re stupid,” the Los Angeles native told NME in 2011. “I don’t know, we don’t think about it, we’re just kids. We don’t think about that sh-t. But I don’t hate gay people. I don’t want anyone to think I’m homophobic.”

(AllHipHop News) Before becoming a regular in the Fast & Furious movie franchise, Ludacris was one of the most successful rappers of the 2000’s.

Luda’s chart-topping career was inspired by many of his predecessors and peers.

The video includes Ludacris sharing his interpretations of verses by Pimp C, Andre 3000, The Notorious B.I.G., Eminem, and Cam’ron.

He also talks about four bars on his own “Mouthing Off” off the Back for the First Time album.

“All I can say is that: where the f-ck did this sh-t come from? There’s no place called ‘P-ssies R Us,’and if there were, it’s not like people gonna give gift certificates to this place,” said Luda. “Only me, only I could have done that, humbly speaking. That’s what makes me, me.”

In addition, the Disturbing Tha Peace founder named Ludaversal as one of his favorite albums.
