(AllHipHop News) Global revenue from electronic sports is expected to cross $1 billion in 2019. Some video gamers are already making millions of dollars from competitions and endorsements.

With that knowledge, it comes as no surprise that Jay-Z’s Roc Nation Sports International is moving into the e-sports space by signing Mosaad Al-Dossary (aka @Msdossary7). Roc Nation Sports International also represents professional footballers Jérôme Boateng, Romelu Lukaku, Kevin De Bruyne, Eric Bailly, Axel Witsel, and Samuel Chukwueze.

“I’m incredibly excited to join the Roc Nation family,” said Mosaad Al-Dossary. “As I’ve gotten to know guys like Kevin De Bruyne and Jérôme Boateng, it became immediately apparent that Roc Nation stands for everything I believe in – a passion for greatness and a constant pursuit of success. Being a part of a roster that includes some of the best footballers and athletes in the world is very special to me.”

Al-Dossary won the 2018 FIFA eWorld Cup Grand Final, and he was named the 2018 eSports Console Player Of The Year. Plus, the 19-year-old Saudi Arabian is the only person to win back-to-back Xbox World Championships in FIFA’s history

“Mosaad has had incredible success in the FIFA and eSports world, and Roc Nation is proud to work beside him as his career continues to flourish,” said Michael Yormark, President of Roc Nation Sports International. “Mosaad is the perfect fit to be our first eSports client – he brings the same drive and hunger for success to his sport that all of our athletes carry.”

Summer Walker & Ari Lennox Connect To Talk Bisexuality, Plastic Surgery & More

(AllHipHop News) A few years ago, there were music pundits insisting the Rhythm & Blues genre was on its deathbed. Fast forward to 2019 and a fresh crop of artists have revived R&B for a new generation.

For example, this year saw the arrival of Ari Lennox’s Shea Butter Baby and Summer Walker’s Over It. Both albums have been met with positive reviews, and Over It is projected to debut at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Ari and Summer sat down together for Apple Music/Beats 1 to have a discussion about all of the things they are “over.” The two singers chatted about waxing, nipples, social media, monogamy, plastic surgery, hairstyles, music, bisexuality, and more.

“I have weird types. They be like 4-foot-1 and f*cking studs. Little studs. Little, cute studs,” said Walker about her attraction to women. Lennox responded, “I’ve always wanted to be with a woman, but they never try to have sex with me. They never try.”

The conversation was inspired by Apple Music’s new R&B Now playlist (formerly known as The A-List: R&B). Besides Summer Walker and Ari Lennox, the collection also includes tunes by Chris Brown, H.E.R., Khalid, Jhené Aiko, Ty Dolla $ign, Kehlani, Jacquees, Ella Mai, and other acts.

”R&B Now will make sure the world understands that this genre is the backbone you and the essential glue of all popular music genres in the world. We are so excited to set this off!!” stated Apple Music Global Editorial Head of Hip-Hop and R&B Ebro Darden.

Moneybagg Yo Talks Recording ‘All Dat’ With Megan Thee Stallion

(AllHipHop News) Many rap fans are convinced that Moneybagg Yo and Megan Thee Stallion are a couple, even though the two southerners have not officially confirmed they’re dating. Their new collaboration will surely add more fuel to the speculation.

Moneybagg released a music video for “All Dat” featuring Meg on Wednesday. The Memphis-raised rhymer also FaceTimed Zane Lowe on Apple Music’s Beats 1 to talk about working with Thee Stallion.

https://www.instagram.com/p/B3Qux6nDeHM

“This is what they’ve been waiting for, right? It’s going to be super crazy. And we got the video with it,” said Moneybagg. “We spend time together when she’s open and I’m open. Of course, we’re both busy, but we make sure we get that time in.”

The Yo Gotti protégé continued, “It was just one of them days. We were in LA. We went to the studio – I think it was Record Planet – went in there and the chemistry was already there. She’s like my best friend at the same time. I love her grind. I love her work ethic. I love how she keeps pushing.”

Moneybagg Yo also revealed his upcoming album will feature Gotti, Blac Youngsta, Lil Baby, and Summer Walker. 2019’s 43va Heartless was the highest-charting project of his career.

Iggy Azalea Responds To T.I. Saying Working With Her Was A “Blunder”

(AllHipHop News) Tip “T.I.” Harris helped introduce Australian rapper Iggy Azalea to an American audience. Before achieving mainstream success with “Fancy” featuring Charli XCX, Iggy got a co-sign from her Grand Hustle boss.

However, Azalea soon became the target of Hip Hop heads and Black Twitter after dismissive comments about the culture were met with condemnation. The New Classic album creator quickly went from chart-topper to persona non grata.

After first defending Iggy against the backlash, Tip eventually severed his business and musical ties with Azalea. It appears T.I. now looks back at the time of their collaborative efforts as a stain on his career.

“I’m still actively looking for another female rapper who can undo the blunder of Iggy Azalea,” said Harris. “That is the tarnish of my legacy as far as [being] a [music] executive is concerned. To me, this is like when Michael Jordan went to play baseball.”

Azalea found out about what her former mentor had to say, and she did not leave his statement unanswered. The 29-year-old recording artist jumped on Twitter to respond to Tip in a now-deleted tweet.

“Imagine thinking I was his biggest blunder lmaooooooooo. Tip. Sweetie. We have a whole list for you,” posted Iggy. She later added, “The tea I could spill on what bullsh*t this is but at the end of the day I think people can see it’s clear he’s salty. He’s a huge misogynist and has never been able to have a conversation with any woman in which he doesn’t speak like a fortune cookie.”

Since parting ways with the Rhythm + Flow star, Azalea has been unable to chart another Top 40 single. Her 2019 independent LP, In My Defense, only peaked at #50 on the Billboard 200.

Cardi B Explains Why She Refuses To Apologize For ‘Access Hollywood’ Rant

(AllHipHop News) Last week, Cardi B went off on Access Hollywood on Instagram Live. The “Press” performer took issue with the entertainment news outlet for using her 1-year-old daughter’s name for a misleading headline.

Some people were bothered by Cardi using explicit language, threatening to spit on the reporter, and referring to someone having AIDS during the IG rant. She returned to the platform to address the negative reactions.

“Should celebrities apologize for the actions and the things they say? At first, I was saying, ‘Maybe.’ But then again, I was telling people, ‘No.’ A lot of fans wanted me to apologize for something I said on my Live the other day because everybody was talking about it and everybody was making a big deal,” said Cardi.

She continued, “You know what I told them? I’m not going to motherf*cking apologize for sh*t because if I said it when I was upset, I said what the f*ck I say. Everybody say sh*t when their upset.”

The Grammy winner added, “People say all crazy type of sh*t. So when I say crazy sh*t, people just want to highlight it because they hate me… If you think that it’s wrong, it is what it is, but I ain’t gonna f*cking apologize for you. Every single time I say something out of character and I apologize – you wanna know what people do? They keep on throwing it in my f*cking face.”

EXCLUSIVE: 50 Cent Goes After Rick Ross Again; Appeals Loss Over “In Da Club” Lawsuit

(AllHipHop News) 50 Cent is not backing down from another legal skirmish with Miami rapper Rick Ross.

50 Cent took issue with Rick Ross using his 2003’s#### “In Da Club” as a remix on his 2015 mixtape “Renzel Remixes Project.”

50, real name Curtis James Jackson III, sued Rick Ross claiming he had no right to use the instrumental, which he used to hawk his 2015 album Black Market as an insult to his longtime rival.

In October of 2018, a judge dismissed the lawsuit because 50 Cent does not control the copyright or the master recordings to “In Da Club,” which are owned by Shady Records.

The lawsuit was tossed out of court, but 50’s lawyers have refiled an appeal, asking a judge to reconsider the verdict.

In new legal documents, 50 Cent’s lawyers claim Rick Ross, born William Leonard Roberts II, unlawfully exploited Fif’s name and voice by including his hook on the remix.

“Under these circumstances, Mr. Roberts violated Mr. Jackson’s right of publicity, and Mr. Jackson was entitled to summary judgment…”

50’s lawyers say the rapper may not have a case for copyright infringement, but the fact that Rozay shouted out his Black Market album six times on his remix to “In Da Club” actually infringes on 50 Cent’s identity.

“Mr. Roberts explicit advertisement for Black Market clearly constitutes commercial speech, notwithstanding the fact that Mr. Roberts chose the vehicle of a song to deliver the repeated sales pitch ‘only on the Black Market…December 4th…the album is out…”

50s lawyers claim those words make the song an advertisement for Black Market.

“Mr. Jackson does not challenge the unauthorized use of his voice in a purely entertainment work,” 50’s lawyer Frederick A. Braunstein said. “He challenges the unauthorized use of his voice as part of an advertisement for a collateral product, Black Market, for which he has no connection to whatsoever.

50 Cent is asking the court to reverse the earlier decision, issue a summary judgment in favor of 50 Cent for liability, and to send the dispute back to State Court.

Taraji P. Henson Breaks Down In Tears While Discussing Mental Health On TV

(AllHipHop News) Taraji P. Henson sobbed her way through a recent TV interview with newswoman Maria Shriver as she tackled mental health issues among African-American teenagers.

The “Empire” star recently launched the Boris Lawrence Henson Foundation, named after her father, who battled post-traumatic stress disorder and depression, and now she has started visiting high schools to speak with kids, urging them to speak up about anxiety and other related issues.

Shriver joined Taraji as she met with students at Chicago’s High School for the Arts, who explained that kids who talk about mental health problems are considered “weak.”

The response upset the actress, who cried as she told the “Good Morning America” correspondent, “I don’t ever wanna get to a place, where I can sit and be comfortable spewing facts and numbers about children as young as five years old taking their life. That should never be normal.”

Taraji took her fight for more mental health funding among the African-American community to Capitol Hill over the summer, calling the problem a “national crisis” as she fought back tears, and she told Shriver she first realized there was a big issue when she tried to find a black therapist for her son, Marcel.

“Trying to find a culturally-competent therapist was like looking for a purple unicorn with a gold horn.”

Only four percent of all trained counselors in the U.S. are black, and Taraji is now offering scholarships through her new foundation to help students who want to follow a career in therapy

Atlanta Rapper MPR Tito Explains Why His Studio Sessions Are So Expensive

MPR Tito stands for three things: Money, Power, and Respect.

Hailing from the East Side of Atlanta, the “Honor” rapper creates anthems for the street, motivating you to get out and get to the money.

The 29-year-old describes his music as unique, aggressive, and raw — sounding like nobody else but himself.

After three successful EPs, Tito continues to stay locked in the studio perfecting his craft. Most recently dropping the “Honor” visual, he teases fans with the announcement of his new EP MPRB.

AllHipHop: Being from the East Side of Atlanta, what were you seeing growing up?

MPR Tito: Shoot, the same thing everybody else seen in the ghetto. Just poverty, tryna make it out the ghetto. Everybody’s struggling, tryna get some money and make ends meet. The typical thing that everybody’s seeing on the block, I’ve seen junkies. My mama tryna get us out the hood and everything. That’s how I started caring about rapping because I started seeing what it could do.

AllHipHop: At what point did you realize this music thing was for real?

MPR Tito: About a year or two, I’ve been taking it seriously. Me and the homies. The moment I started, I ain’t never doubted myself or second-guessed it. That’s just how I am. I don’t think “oh should I do this?” No, I’m doing it because I know I can do it and they’re rolling with me.

AllHipHop: You just dropped “Use Too,” what inspired this one?

MPR Tito: My brother Rocky, he had passed. Actually, I made this song sitting in LA. I was in LA for about 3 months, I came back feeling good on the lean. That was my getaway song, and it was very different. I told you I’m raw and gangsta, just be gangbanging on every song. That one was very different, show people I can do some different music.

AllHipHop: You say “trap all my lie I’m not gon’ retire.” You still in the streets?

MPR Tito: What? For life. In the streets 4L. Can’t forget it, that’s what made me. I still got people in the streets so I go back. That’s my ultimate goal, to get everybody out the streets.

AllHipHop: What’s that going to take?

MPR Tito: Me keep working and keep praying. Getting to where I know I need to be at in life. I don’t care what it takes, I’m gonna do whatever it takes. Hard work and dedication just to get where I gotta go, for my family and my friends.

AllHipHop: What’s your relationship with Hoodrich Pablo Juan?

MPR Tito: That’s my brother. I don’t see him the way everybody else sees him. We came from the same apartments, came from the same struggle. I’ve been with him since day one, so I see Hoodrich as family. Never going anywhere, we family. That’s my brother, that’s all I see him as.

AllHipHop: What’s the best advice he’s given you with this music s##t? Because he’s been killing it.

MPR Tito: Believe it or not, I don’t ever tell him but he’s really a GOAT in the music. He’s got bars, I really look up to him. I don’t tell him that ‘cause he’ll get big-headed. He basically be helping me out with my music, telling me to keep working and don’t never give up. He be telling me certain moves on how to move, how to deal with certain things in the rap industry. It’s a blessing to have my brother as a mentor, as a GOAT by my side.

AllHipHop: 3 things you need in the studio?

MPR Tito: Percs, can’t record without Percs. You need Percs, a vibe, and the best weed you can find — and you gon’ make a hit.

AllHipHop: Are you concerned that you have to record with Percs?

MPR Tito: See I need it, I guess ‘cause I’ve been through so much in my life.

AllHipHop: I know people who can’t record high. Ohgeesy (Shoreline Mafia) said when he’s high, he can’t record.

MPR Tito: That’s hard, ‘cause I need it. That’s why I can’t do nothing but respect it. For them to not need it, they prolly saving money and everything.

It costs so much for my session. You gon’ need a four, a zip. It probably costs $2,000 before you start rapping, just getting high. It’s just a vibe to me, I don’t think it’s a problem. I don’t just pop ‘em to pop ‘em, pour a drink just to drink.

Soon as you feel how you feel, watch how you get in there and start working. You gon’ get three songs.

AllHipHop: Anything to let us know?

MPR Tito: Just basically put ya’ll on to MPR Tito here, that’s what’s rollin’. MPR rollin’ with a B at the end. Be looking for my new EP MPR with da B.

Is Lil Baby Feeling A Way About DaBaby?

(AllHipHop Rumors) Most of us saw the BET Hip-Hop Awards and were pleased. I was particularly happy to see DaBaby and Lil Baby performing together! Now, DaBaby performed more than any other artists and beat my boo Megan Thee Stallion! I didn’t like that part until he brought his mom up and was very gracious. BUT….there is another side. (I know I veered off track.)

The internets dug up what seems to be a bit of shade coming from Lil Baby when they performed. Check out what some of the Boxden dudes discovered?

I see both Lil Baby and DaBaby art on the list and that’s a good thing. But a year has seen considerable changes with these two people.

DaBaby is also besting his comrade overall on the charts!

Now, ask your self…

Honestly, I don’t know! I can see how he feels a way about DaBaby! He wasn’t the first “Baby” but he certainly was the most recent before the NOW most recent. And Lil Baby might feel like he’s not the Biggest Baby no more. Also, there are those pesky drug rumors of drug use and possible abuse. We, of course, do not know for sure, but there are the images & vids that are highly suggestive.

He might have a condition or caught “the shivers” like I get all the time. Prayers for Lil Baby!

Public Enemy’s revolutionary rap anthem “Fight the Power” took second place, with Mobb Deep’s “Shook Ones (Part II)” in third place.

EXCLUSIVE: Prosecutor Recommends Long Prison Sentence For Tekashi 6ix9ine Former Associate Ro Murda

(AllHipHop News) Another high-ranking member of the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods is scheduled to be sentenced in October, thanks in part to rap star Tekashi 6ix9ine.

Roland “Ro Murda” Martin was rounded up with Tekashi 6ix9ine and the rest of his crew in November of 2018.

Like the other defendants in the case, Ro Murda was part of a RICO case brought on by the U.S. government over several crimes the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods were committing on behalf of Tekashi 6ix9ine.

The Feds claim Ro Murda held leadership positions in the prison and street lineups for the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods

Ro Murda is accused of committing some violent acts on behalf of the gang, including an incident in which the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods let off a shot inside of the Barclays Center in Brooklyn during a beef with rapper Casanova.

Federal prosecutor Geoffrey S. Berman is asking Judge Paul Englemayer to send Ro Murda to jail for eight years for his role in the RICO conspiracy.

“The defendant’s high rank in the game, together with his active participation in acts of violence, warrants a significant term of incarceration for both specific and general deterrence,” Geoffrey S. Berman said.

The news comes on the heels of guilty pleas and guilty verdicts against various members of the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods.

Tekashi 6ix9ine testified against the Gang during a two-week trial for Aljermiah “Nuke” Mack and “Anthony Harv” Ellison.

Tekashi 6ix9ine broke down the structure and named Jamel “Mel Murda” Jones, Kifano “Shotti Jordan and Roland “Ro Murda” Martin as the Nine Trey Gangsta’s top leadership on the streets.

Aljermiah Mack was convicted of drug-dealing, while Anthony “Harv” Ellison was found guilty of kidnapping 6ix9ine.

Attorney Geoffrey S. Berman recommended the lengthy prison sentence, due to Ro Murda’s continued association with the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods, despite his previous trip to prison.

“The public has an interest in incapacitating and deterring the defendant and others similarly situated from committing further acts of violence and from engaging in the distribution of narcotics,” Geoffrey S. Berman explained. “The defendant has served lengthy prison sentences, yet that has not stopped him from his continual membership and active role in Nine Trey.”

Roland “Ro Murda” Martin will learn exactly how much time he’s going to spend behind bars when he is formally sentenced tomorrow (October 10th) at 2:30 p.m.

Drake And His Dad: Who Is Telling The Truth?

(AllHipHop Rumors) This isn’t even new but it is going viral again, nevertheless. Drake’s dad has opened his mouth again to counter some of the things that his son has rapped about. BUT, it goes a bit farther than that this time. This time….Drake is hurt.

Drake said, “Every bar I spit is the truth” and that has to be like a gut punch to Pops Dennis Graham.

“Woke up today so hurt man. My father will say anything to anyone that’s willing to listen to him. It’s sad when family gets like this but what can we really do that’s the people we are stuck with … every bar I ever spit was the truth and the truth is hard for some people to accept.”

That “some people” is his dad. There is where it all started. Dennis Graham said:

“I have always been with Drake. I said, ‘Drake why are you saying all of this different stuff about me, man? This is not cool.’ And he goes ‘Dad, it sells records.'”

A post shared by REVOLT (@revolttv)

Well, the truth is…they both could be telling the truth. Drakes point of view as a CHILD/SON could be very different from his dad. His parents were together like that and his dad is American, from the South. His mom is Canadian and from the Far North. I am thinking that his dad, from his point of view, was as present as he could be and his mom was there all the time.

Like I said, this ain’t really new. Dennis said this back in the day:

Come on guys! Get it together!

Kim Kardashian Helps Secure The Release Of Another Prisoner

(AllHipHop News) Kim Kardashian has scored another huge victory in her efforts to seek prison reform – an inmate at the Washington, DC Central Detention Facility she backed has been released.

Momolu Stewart, 39, was just 16 when he was tried as an adult for murder and convicted in 1999.

His life sentence was suspended last week and now he’s a free man – two months after Kardashian urged Superior Court Judge Robert Salerno to consider showing him leniency in a letter she wrote.

The petition for Stewart’s release was filed under the Incarceration Reduction Amendment Act.

“He is especially deserving of your consideration,” Kim wrote in the letter. “He has been rehabilitated and is no longer dangerous to society.

“While he cannot go back and change what happened when he was 16 years old, he takes responsibility for the pain he has caused to the victim’s family, and feels true remorse for his role in the crime that resulted in the loss of life.”

She went on to explain Stewart’s “traumatic” upbringing, following the death of his father at the hands of his mother when he was six, led to his issues with the law.

“I have every confidence that upon his release he will continue to guide others away from a life of crime and continue on his own path to redemption and success,” Kardashian added.

Kim met Stewart while shooting scenes for her upcoming documentary, “Kim Kardashian West: The Justice Project,” over the summer.

Last year, she successfully lobbied President Donald Trump to pardon grandmother Alice Marie Johnson, who was serving a life sentence without parole for a non-violent drug offense.

Kardashian has become a leading advocate for prison reform and is currently studying for a law degree, so she can better help those who are serving unnecessary time behind bars.

Tyler Perry Makes Up With Spike Lee And Names A Soundstage After Legendary Filmmaker

(AllHipHop News) Tyler Perry has dedicated a soundstage at his new Atlanta, Georgia film complex to former critic Spike Lee after revealing the two moviemakers have patched up their differences.

Lee, who once accused Tyler of promoting black stereotypes and “coonery and buffoonery” in his Madea movies, has been honored alongside Whoopi Goldberg, Denzel Washington, and Oprah Winfrey with his own soundstage at the Tyler Perry Film Studios.

Perry tells TMZ Live he had to include Spike, despite the pair’s rocky history, because of what he has done to advance African-American cinema.

“You cannot deny what he has done in the film industry and how he has been at the forefront to help me and everybody else get to the place where we are… I just wanted to honor him for what he has done,” Tyler says, revealing he and Lee thrashed out their differences during a face-to-face meeting.

“He came to my house and we sat down and we had a great conversation… This moment for me and Spike was a huge moment.”

Perry opened his new studio complex over the weekend and welcomed Beyonce, JayZ, Oprah Winfrey, Whoopi Goldberg, and Samuel L. Jackson, among others, to the new site, which features the first full-scale replica of the White House.

Snoop Dogg Refuses To Apologize For Controversial Performance At University Of Kansas

(AllHipHop News) Snoop Dogg is refusing to apologize to the University of Kansas officials for his rowdy late-night gig on campus last week insisting people should know he’s no saint onstage.

The college’s athletic director, Jeff Long, has apologized after the rapper upset parents and boosters at the Late Night in the Phog pep rally to celebrate the start of basketball practices on Friday.

His 35 minute set featured unedited versions of hits including “Gin” and “Juice” and “Drop It Like It’s Hot,” while pole dancers performed and fake $100 bills featuring the rapper’s face were shot over players and recruits.

Long released a statement over the weekend, revealing university bookers made it clear they “expected a clean version of the show,” adding, “I take full responsibility for not thoroughly vetting all the details of the performance and offer my personal apology to those who were offended.

“We strive to create a family atmosphere at Kansas and fell short of that.”

But Snoop insists he won’t be following suit, and admits he had a great time at the gig.

“The audience enjoyed that s##t,” Snoop told shock jock Howard Stern on Tuesday. “I don’t know what the f##k they talking about… I had the time of my life. I enjoyed myself, hung out with the basketball teams.”

He also dismissed reports suggesting he was asked the leave the university immediately after his set.

“I think it was more the publicity of what I did – they had to cover it up,” he added. “I respect them and I wasn’t gonna put no s### on their name and say they did anything wrong because they invited me to come do what I do. And, when you pay for Snoop Dogg, you gon’ get Snoop Dogg.”

(AllHipHop News) It’s been 15 years since Destiny’s Child released their last studio album Destiny Fulfilled. While Beyoncé Knowles, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams have not recorded a full body of work since 2004, fans have gotten a glimpse of them together from time-to-time.

The three ladies performed for the Super Bowl XLVII halftime show in 2013, and they ran through some of their hits during Beyoncé’s headlining set at the 2018 Coachella festival. Additionally, Williams tapped Knowles and Rowland for the 2014 single “Say Yes.”

Will Bey, Kelly, and Michelle formally reunite for another project. Beyoncé’s father and former manager, Mathew Knowles, spoke about the possibility that DC3 might reassemble in the near future.

“I still officially manage [Destiny’s Child]. Every day I have the responsibility of licensing. I have a lot of responsibilities that folks don’t know,” Mathew explained on the Tamron Hall talk show. His new wife of six years, Gena Knowles, joined him on the program.

Hall asked Mathew Knowles if he has any say in whether Destiny’s Child can come back together to record new music under the group’s name. The Alabama native answered, “I do have impact in that decision. I do… The first thing I’m gonna do is replace Michelle with Gena.”

According to Mathew, even if the Destiny’s Child members decided they wanted to come back together for another run, it would be a while before anything materialized. He said, “If today they said yes, it would take two years just in preparation.”
