Chance the Rapper Apologies To Large Women Over Instagram Accident

(AllHipHop News) Chance the Rapper has apologized to fans after appearing to approve of an Instagram user shaming larger women online.

The “No Problem” star hit headlines over the weekend after he ‘liked’ a comment posted under an Instagram photo featuring three topless ladies squeezing their curves into skinny jeans, using their hands to preserve their modesty.

“Just puked,” read the remark.

Chance clicked the ‘like’ icon next to the post, and a screenshot of the user’s notification quickly surfaced on social media, alongside the caption, “Chance said get your fat a##es in the gym Queens.”

Many fans didn’t believe the rapper would support such a statement and speculated the post had been digitally altered, but Chance took to Twitter to accept the blame, insisting he ‘liked’ the comment by mistake.

Followers appeared to accept the star’s apology, which was ‘liked’ over 100,000 times.

The negativity was particularly surprising to fans as Chance, who has a baby daughter, is known for his kind and generous nature, recently stepping up to donate $1 million to the public school system in his native Chicago, Illinois to build a better future for local youths.

Chance isn’t the only person to fall victim to accidental ‘likes’ online – Beyonce’s mother, Tina Knowles-Lawson, also found herself under attack in December after seemingly giving the thumbs up to a negative post about her daughter’s “Dreamgirls” co-star Jennifer Hudson on Instagram.

Dreezy Takes Issue With Being Snubbed For “Best Female Hip-Hop Artist” At BET Awards

(AllHipHop News) Will 2017 be the year someone breaks Nicki Minaj’s 7-year winning streak at the BET Awards?

If another woman does take home the trophy for “Best Female Hip-Hop Artist,” it will not be Chicago’s Dreezy.

The “Body” performer did not receive a nomination in the category, and she expressed her disappointment on Twitter.

“Only female to drop [an] album last year, went [platinum], vids all hit millions, 3 tours w/all n-ggas. No credit. Ima charge it to the game tho,” wrote Dreezy.

A separate tweet read, “[Don’t] take my passion 4 this as [a] discredit to other females. Salute to all the dope ladies. Some ppl wouldn’t even care. I’ll be back & better.”

Over the last year, Dreezy saw her videos for songs such as “Close To You” featuring T-Pain and “We Gon Ride” featuring Gucci Mane collect over 10 million views on YouTube.

“Body” featuring Jeremih has over 42 million views on the platform, and the song was certified platinum in January.

The nominees for this year’s BET Award for “Best Female Hip-Hop Artist” include Minaj, Cardi B, Missy Elliott, Remy Ma, and Young M.A.

Peep What Legendary DJ’s Songs Didn’t Make Kendrick Lamar’s ‘DAMN’

(AllHipHop Rumors) It seems like Kendrick Lamar truly has a gang of unreleased material, especially from the pool of songs that didn’t make his ‘DAMN’ album.

Although a number of Kid Capri collaborative tracks made the album, the legendary DJ revealed that he and K. Dot created a lot of material that didn’t make it as well.

Now we’ve learned that DJ Premier also worked on a number of songs with Kendrick, but unfortunately they didn’t make the album.

A fan asked DJ Premier if we would ever see a Kendrick and Premier collaboration, and Premier replied by saying,

“@S3ymoureButts @kendricklamar I’m sure one day it’ll happen…We worked on a couple joints but they didn’t make the album…that’s family so it’s all good.”

Premier has me wondering how many songs did Kendrick record in total for the album? How much music is in the vault? Who else did K. Dot collaborate with? What other collaborations didn’t make the album, and will we get an ‘Untitled 2’?

Is it just me or does this seem to happen to Premier a lot? Some feel that he hasn’t updated his sound since the ’90s. What are your thoughts?

Desiigner Addresses Tweeting “F*ck NY Radio” (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Back in April, Desiigner tweeted “f-ck NY radio” – with several middle fingers emojis – before deleting the post.

The Brooklyn rhymer stopped by New York City’s Hot 97, and he was asked about his post-and-delete comment.

“That was just a crybaby moment I guess I had,” admitted Desiigner. “It was by accident, and I feel it in myself that I didn’t mean that.”

He continued, “I tweeted it because I just wanted extra love from the radio. I just felt like ‘Tiimmy Turner’ ain’t really get the play it was. I be going out there in that crowd and show New York love. So it was just me feeling like a little punk at the moment. I just apologize.”

Desiigner’s “Tiimmy Turner” record did not get the same response as his smash “Panda.”

While “Panda” hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, “Tiimmy Turner” barely cracked the Top 40.

The G.O.O.D. Music representative’s debut album The Life of Desiigner is set to arrive later this year.

Desiigner is also scheduled to perform at Hot 97’s Summer Jam concert on June 11.

According to Daily Mail, Drake made contact with the model via his bodyguard on IG, and even took the woman on his tour for 6 weeks!

Whoa! 6 weeks seems like a long time to have a stranger around the crew, but then again rappers rotate women in and out all of the time.

Apparently Drizzy’s bodyguard reached out to Ava on IG and offered her tickets to Drake’s Dublin show by telling her that she was one of the prettiest girls that he’d ever seen. He didn’t hesitate to let it be known that he worked for the 6 God either.

According to Ava, the whole experience was surreal, and initially she thought she was being catfished!

“He texted me saying I was one of the prettiest girls he’d ever seen and that he worked for Drake. I thought it was a catfish straight away, but no he was genuine,” said Ava.

Apparently after the show, Ava was invited to the after party where she met Drake, and the 6 God is said to have asked her to join him on tour.

“It was so surreal and Drake was lovely. We had a great night and then they asked me to join them on tour, so I said yeah,” said Ava!

Let’s just hope Drake is wrapping it up man, especially with the way he runs through women!

Faith Stops Spending Money On B.I.G.’s Murder Because Cops Know The Truth

(AllHipHop News) Hip-hop superstar Faith Evans has stopped throwing money at investigations into her late husband’s murder, because she’s convinced Los Angeles police bosses already know the truth.

Evans has spent the past 20 years seeking justice for the man or men behind Notorious BIG’s death, which remains an open case full of speculation and hearsay, but in a new interview with TV host Steve Harvey, she admitted she’s wasted enough money trying to find the killer.

“We definitely don’t have any closure because no one’s been brought to justice,” she said during the chat. “We just decided to not continue to financially try to pursue something that we know is only resting in the hands of the LAPD. We believe they know (what happened)…

“We just pray and keep hope (sic) that one day they will say that they know what happened.”

Notorious BIG died in March, 1997 after taking four bullets to the chest in a drive-by shooting in Los Angeles.

His killer, described as an African-American male dressed in a blue suit and bow tie, has never been identified.

Meanwhile, during her candid chat with Harvey, Evans also talked about the duet she has recorded with her late husband’s mistress Lil’ Kim on her new album The King & I, which features reworked versions of Biggie’s songs.

Insisting there’s no bad blood between herself and her former love rival, Faith said, “Kim is definitely one of my favorite artists… It’s well documented we both loved the same man, so I think it’s OK to express the same feeling… I told her to talk about her feelings.”

Brandy and Rapper Sir The Baptist’s Relationship Turns Romantic

(AllHipHop News) R&B star Brandy has sparked speculation she is dating rising hip-hop artist Sir the Baptist.

The “Boy Is Mine” hitmaker recently joined Sir the Baptist in the studio to record the duet “Deliver Me” for his new album Saint or Sinner, and it appears the collaborators’ relationship has since turned romantic.

Brandy and her rumored new man have been sharing photos of themselves hanging out on social media over the past week.

The singer posted a black and white picture of the pair posing on a helipad after taking a helicopter ride over New York City.

“Straight off the #HeavenCopter (sic) with #HIM @sirthebaptist,” she captioned the snap, while the rapper uploaded the same image on his account and wrote, “My girl @foreverbrandy.”

In a separate set of images, including one of the stars sitting on a gold couch, with Sir the Baptist’s arm wrapped around Brandy’s shoulder, she shared a special message for the musician: “#PureGold @sirthebaptist thank you for taking me around #NYC yesterday,” she began. “The city looks brighter through your eyes. #Also, your music has truly changed my life… can’t wait for everyone to feel your truth…”

It’s not the first time the rumored couple has gushed about one another on social media.

Last week, the up-and-coming Christian MC, real name Sir William James Stokes, posted a shot of the pair on Snapchat, and heaped praise on Brandy for her beauty and her brains.

“Don’t need to write that she’s a Genius. That’s obvious,” he commented. “Would say she’s an angel but you don’t reach her heights… keep moral goodness and be loved by the greats without wings. However… she’s the most beautiful person I’ve ever met. Before this picture we had already healed many thru (sic) song. Now onto chasing each other around the world. @4everbrandy”.

Brandy, 38, was previously engaged to music executive Ryan Press until calling off the romance in 2014.

She also made plans to wed former basketball star Quentin Richardson before their split in 2005.

Her other exes include rapper Flo Rida, TV presenter-turned-actor Terrence J, and producer Robert Smith, the father of her 14-year-old daughter Sy’rai.

Frank Ocean Praises OutKast’s Andre 3000 As The G.O.A.T. (POLL)

(AllHipHop News) Frank Ocean took the time during his Blonded Radio show to heap praise on André 3000.

The OutKast member is often mentioned in the G.O.A.T. debate, but Ocean feels Dre should be at the top of the pyramid of greatest emcees.

“You know when you’re not on the list but you’re still number 1?” asked Ocean. “You’re not top 5 because you’re number 1. You’re not involved in top 5 conversations because you’re number 1. That’s André 3000.”

3 Stacks rarely records music nowadays, but he did appear on both of Ocean’s studio albums – channel ORANGE and Blonde.

While Dre has not released an official solo LP, the Atlanta-bred wordsmith earned platinum plaques for his work with Big Boi and the duo is considered to have one of the best discographies in rap music.

OutKast’s 2003 double album Speakerboxxx/The Love Below became only the second Hip Hop project to win the Grammy for Album Of The Year.

Speakerboxxx/The Love Below has also been certified Diamond by the RIAA with over 11 million units.

Logic Gets His First Top 200 #1 With “Everybody” and Def Jam’s CEO Is Thrilled

(AllHipHop News) Rap star Logic is celebrating the success of his latest album, Everybody which is officially number one.

The Gaithersburg, Maryland rappers latest release Everybody is his first album to debut at #1 on the Billboard 200 Album Chart.

“All of us here at Def Jam are extremely proud of Logic’s growth and development into a chart-topping artist,” said Steve Bartels, CEO of Def Jam Recordings. “Logic has a unique relationship with his fanbase, and through them has found a path to success very much on his own terms. During a pre-taped appearance as a guest co-host on The Real, Remy expressed her intentions to move on from the feud.

However, the Bronx spitter took a couple more shots at Nicki while on the show.

“The dust has settled. Some people don’t get that the dust has settled, but I can understand. It’s kind of hard to see the dust is settling when you’re in the grave under the dirt,” stated Remy.

She added, “I say all the time that I’m petty, but there’s a thin line between petty and pathetic. You have to stop at some point.”

Earlier this year, Remy sent a direct lyrical attack at Nicki with the diss tracks “SHEther” and “Another One.”

Nicki fired back with “No Frauds,” but the Young Money star’s response track did not become the hit record she had expected.

BET Announces 2017 Nominees and Beyonce and Chance the Rapper Lead the Pack

(AllHipHop News) BET has announced the nominees for the 2017 BET Awards and Beyonce leads all performers this year.

Beyonce has been nominated for seven nominations, including for Video of the Year and Album of the Year for Lemonade, while her song “Freedom” with Kendrick Lamar has landed a Best Collaboration nomination.

Bruno Mars is up for five awards, while Chance the Rapper and Migos lead all rappers with four each.

Beyonce’s sister Solange did well by landing four nods for her release A Seat At the Table.

Other rappers who landed nominations include 2 Chainz, Lil Wayne, Drake and Big Sean.

The 2017 BET Awards take place at Microsoft Theater on Sunday, June 25.

Eminem’s Court Battle With New Zealand’s National Party Is Over

(AllHipHop News) A two-week court hearing pitting Eminem against officials from a New Zealand political party has come to a close.

Lawyers for the American rapper’s publishing firm Eight Mile Style filed a lawsuit against National Party staff three years ago, accusing them of using an unlicensed version of his 2002 hit “Lose Yourself” in TV adverts for then-leader John Key’s re-election campaign in 2014.

Eminem, real name Marshall Bruce Mathers III, and the National Party’s legal teams just made their final arguments at the High Court in Wellington and Judge Helen Cull will now deliberate over her verdict.

According to Stuff.co.nz, Judge Cull said she would not reach a verdict for “many months” and ruled that many of the details of the case will be kept secret.

National Party representatives insist they legally purchased the tune, titled “Eminem Esque,” from a stock music library provided by Australian production company Beatbox.

Eminem and his publishers are seeking an undisclosed cash settlement and a declaration that National Party bosses breached his copyright in using the track.

Lose Yourself originally appeared on the soundtrack to Eminem’s 2002 semi-autobiographical film “8 Mile.”

Kevin Hart Makes Life Changing Announcement on Mother’s Day

(AllHipHop News) Funnyman Kevin Hart is set to become a dad again.

The comedian and his 32-year-old wife Eniko Parrish are expecting their first child together.

Hart announced the baby news on Mother’s Day (May 14), posting a photo of Eniko’s growing belly and revealing the couple is expecting a son.

“Celebrating Mother’s Day with my beautiful wife,” he wrote. “We are laughing at the fact that this time next year we will be celebrating her 1st actual Mother’s Day. #Harts #Blessed.”

Kevin and Eniko exchanged vows during a lavish ceremony in August in upscale Montecito, California.

He shared a photo of himself with his new bride on Instagram.

The “Ride Along” star even shared videos of the build-up to the big day on Snapchat, with the first clip showing him walking along a beach in California with his bride-to-be.

Celebrity guests at the nuptials included rapper-turned-actor Ludacris, along with his wife.

Hart and Parrish became engaged in 2014, when he popped the question to his longtime love on her 30th birthday.

“I already feel married, the wedding is really just for her,” he told Entertainment Weekly at the time.

Hart is already a dad to 12-year-old daughter Heaven and son Hendrix, nine – his kids from his marriage to Torrei Hart, which ended in 2011.

The “Ride Along” star dismissed pregnancy reports at the end of last year after sources told tabloids Parrish would be announcing baby news at Christmas.

“I don’t know where they get this from,” he said. “She’s not pregnant. We’re not expecting. When we do, we’ll know and you’ll probably hear from me several months after. You’ll probably be able to tell because she’ll be showing, but when that does happen I won’t be public about it off the bat.”

Lil Uzi was already raising eyebrows by sporting what looked like purses to many, and this latest photo of the rapper has the internet buzzing and wondering what in the world is going on with Lil Uzi Vert.

Well one person who came to Lil Uzi Vert’s defense was Waka Flocka.

L.A. Reid Reportedly Departed Epic After Harassment Allegations By A Female Staffer

(AllHipHop News) L.A. Reid’s departure from Epic Records came as an unexpected announcement last week.

Billboard reports the veteran music executive was accused of “unlawful harassment of an employee” prior to him leaving Epic.

The publication reports:

In a letter to Sony, the claimant’s attorney detailed alleged harassment his client had faced on a daily basis, which included alleged inappropriate remarks about her appearance and clothing and alleged propositions that caused her embarrassment and distress, making it impossible for her to continue working at the label. The letter — the contents of which were relayed to Billboard — threatened litigation if a settlement wasn’t reached. It wasn’t clear if Sony’s investigation had confirmed any of the letter’s allegations, and one person in Reid’s camp said the letter contained inaccuracies.

Nas’ Baby Mama Says She Didn’t Know He Likes Women!

Nas‘ baby mama has certainly had a lot to say since her recent press runs to promote her new music.

We’ve heard less about her music and more about her old dealings with Nas and how she cheated on him with Jay Z and others.

Nas has ignored Carmen for the most part, but her latest antics on the gram may garner a response.

Someone asked Carmen [on Instagram] how she felt about Nas allegedly dating Nicki Minaj. Carmen replied with a direct shot at Nas!

“I’m relieved. I didn’t think my baby’s father still dated women,” said Carmen.

Most felt that Carmen was trying to insinuate that she thought Nas turned gay. In an effort for some quick damage control, Carmen clarified her statement with some additional shade as she said,

“Like what? I’m used to Nas dating 19 yr olds, I’m actually glad to see him dating a woman.”

Shadeeeeeeee. Come get Carmen pleaseeeeeee. You have to let that hurt go baby girl!

‘The Breakfast Club’ Releases Statements From Bill Cosby’s Daughters: The Media’s Lynching My Dad

(AllHipHop News) Bill Cosby’s sexual assault case is set to move into the jury selection phase on May 22 in Pittsburgh.

The State of Pennsylvania vs. William H. Cosby Jr. is scheduled to begin shortly after that date in June.

As the legendary comedian is preparing to have his day in court, his children are pushing back against the media narrative that their father assaulted over 60 women.

Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club received exclusive audio from Cosby’s daughters, Ensa and Erinn, where they offer a defense of the 79-year-old television star.

“The man portrayed in the media today is not who my father is. My father is a civil rights activist. My father is an advocate for children. My father is an educator. My father is a philanthropist. My father is an immensely talented and innovative entertainer,” stated Ensa.

She went on to say the accusations against her dad have been “one-sided since the beginning” and believes racism played a role in the legal scandal.

“My father is being punished by a society that still believes black men rape white women, but passes off as ‘boys will be boys’ when white men are accused,” added Ensa. “My father has been publicly lynched in the media.”

Her sister’s personal statement also included a scolding of the press for spreading “gossip” for entertainment.

“What my father and family had to endure the last few years makes me ashamed of our country today,” said Erinn. “I cannot understand how our society has permitted my father to be condemned so unjustly and cruelly in the court of public opinion without evidence or proof and with no verdict or judgment.”

The alleged victim in the Pennsylvania case, former Temple University employee Andrea Constand, claims Cosby drugged and sexually assaulted her in 2004.

In February 2005, authorities announced Cosby would not be charged over Constand’s allegations of sexual misconduct, citing insufficient evidence.

Constand filed a civil lawsuit against Cosby later that year which was settled in 2006 for an undisclosed amount.

In December 2015, Cosby was charged with three counts of aggravated indecent assault against Constand.

The Montgomery County District Attorney announced that decision just weeks before the statute of limitations ran out in the case.

A deposition from the Constand civil case, where Cosby seemingly admits to giving women drugs in order to have sex with them, will be presented by the prosecution at trial.

Cosby has maintained he is innocent of any crimes.

If convicted, he could face a 30-year sentence in prison.

The Harlem native’s “RAF” featuring Frank Ocean, Quavo, and Lil Uzi Vert debuted overnight on the sixth episode of Ocean’s Blonded Radio.

Rocky’s dedication to Belgian fashion designer Raf Simons reportedly has another version that includes Playboi Carti.

Blonded Radio is quickly becoming one of the most talked about shows on Beats 1 Radio.

Previously, Ocean premiered his “Biking” collaboration with Jay Z and Tyler, The Creator on the program.

A solo version of “Biking” was also played on last night’s episode.
